Locanda 311 in Camden

I had a vegetarian pasta dish specifically with aubergine, except there was barely a trace of aubergine - about 10 TINY flecks of aubergine. The pasta sauce looked identical to that put on my friends Margherita pizza! And her opinion of her pizza was very poor, worse than my pasta.

Francesca who has run, owned the restaurant for 16 years with her husband Franco and his 10 year old kid all 5 of them are the best, Grecia, Monica the waiters, helpers are the best really good food I enjoyed

After hearing about this place from a Italian friend we decided to go for a family celebration , Francesca was extremely welcoming and the food came and came homestyle . The risotto was probably the best ive eaten - stunning .

Hosts where accommodating & amazing, went the extra mile to make it memorable , thank you FOOD was SPECTACULAR !!

We had eaten here a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed the meal - using a Gourmet Society card. We made another booking for last night and were given a completely different menu. For example, the prawn starter we’d enjoyed and which had cost £8 was now more than £12 and consisted of only 3 large prawns in a wine sauce. There was nothing on the main course menu under about £14 and the menu was limited to pasta and risotto. We each had a ‘hunt the chicken’ pasta costing nearly £17. Previously there had been a much larger choice, including cheaper dishes. With a bottle of poor quality wine and an exorbitant tip of over £9 the bill came to £55. If a restaurant offers to take a gourmet or taste card it should not inflate the prices and reduce the portions. The waiter was very pleasant ,which made it worse. We paid up and left, disappointed and vowing never to return.

One of the best Italian restaurants in London! I enjoy the delicious Neapolitan food that they prepare for many years! I love any dishes in the menu , also all Special, but the Gnocchi al Salmone , Spaghetti Carbonara, Ravioli Granchio, Calamari and Zucchini fritti, Milanese are the best I ever had in my life! Bruschette, Focaccia , Pizza are really nice and tasty ! Banoffee cake is my favorite, also the tiramisù and housemade Cakes very Yammy! For Take away I found them the same Buonissimi, I've ordered many times by Deliveroo the same quality and delicious! The Manager Francesca is always Glorious, Bellissima , Gentilissima , Polite, Smiling and sunny ! They had created tipical Italian style , nice and cosy atmosphere ! I don't miss any available time to visit the restaurant and order a lovely Spritz and drink nice wine! I love you Trattoria Urbana! Don't give up, we 'll stay forever with you as open restaurant as takeaway !Me and my friends can't do it without your best genuine food and service!

A real homestyle Italian restaurant is a special place. One should walk in and immediately be treated like part of the family...welcomed, catered to and cooked for. Trattoria Urbana has that warm atmosphere. Mom, Dad and young son are in residence, the place looks like your Aunt's quirky house, and nothing is too much trouble for the hosts to make you happy. And the food is delicious. The specials are creative and beautifully cooked, and the portions are plentiful. It's a relaxing and comforting place to go - again and again.

Always great and warm welcoming and atmosphere. I finally had real pasta which is Italian pasta after a long time. I would love recommend this place. Thanks very much. I will definitely come back again and again.

I have been visiting Trattoria Urbana for years now and have to say that NOTHING beats the seafood offered by Francesca there. The quality of all seafood on offer is immaculate, always fresh and always presented in the most colorful and stylish way. The wine only compliments the authentically prepared food and adds flavor to the Napolitan atmosphere all around.This is MUST VISIT place while in London for a stunning Italian seafood plate, served with the best wine and all the care in the world.

This was our second visit to Trattoria Urbana in West Hampstead this week. When I first made a reservation, I wasn’t sure whether I had made the right decision, but we were very pleasantly surprised by the hospitality of the owners and the delicious-tasting food. On our first visit, we had tagliatelle alla bolognese, which was divine. The “past e Fasul” was so delicious too. Tonight, we shared a salad (so fresh and simple) and a Milanese chicken with spaghetti in a tomato sauce. Such simple food yet so tasty. Really home-made food. Large glass of a nice-tasting red wine. Such warm people. If we lived nearby, we’d be back for sure, but Canada is too far away! We wish Trattoria Urbana a happy New Year and much success in the new year. Grazie!

This restaurant has been a fixture in West End Lane for many years and deservedly so. I first went more than 10 years ago and know that if you want superbly cooked, home made, genuine Italian food, this is the place to go. The portions are more than generous, the specials constantly changing and properly special. The owner runs front of house, her husband runs the kitchen and between them they have a formula that is unbeatable. I doubt there is anywhere in London that compares with this unique jewel - you need to find family in Italy to get anywhere close to the quality. And please bear in mind that this is very much a family-friendly trattoria, not a smart, West End 'dress up' establishment. So make a booking and go hungry and you can just imagine that you are Italian for a couple of hours, embraced in the warm welcome offered by this great and generous restaurant.

Love this restaurant. The best food and fabulous desserts. The staff are friendly and helpful, the decor is very cool and the seating comfortable. The toilets could do with a little attention! We will keep coming back because it is a great place to eat!

Having booked this online we got lost getting there as the name has now changed to Trattoiria Urbana ! It's quite a small, cosy restaurant and the reason for the lack of 5 stars is that I agree with one of the other reviewers that the bathroom facilities were a bit 'lacking' (polite description). The menu was varied and the food delicious. I started with the calamari and had the Vegetarian option of pumpkin filled gnocchi which was excellent. We both had a glass of the Pinot Grigio which can sometimes be a bit hit and miss but this was just the amount of dry and flavours to make it a more than decent accompaniement to our dinner. Food is definitely recommended and the service was spot on.

The menu at Locanda is very varied and well priced. We have been twice and both times the food and service have been excellent. This place is real gem, one to keep returning to!

I visited Locanda 311 on a late Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised. I had the fried calamari to start with which were absolutely delicious, fresh and full of flavours, and for main course I had the tagliatelle with sea food, and it was equally delicious. The sea food consist of clams, prawns, mussels and squids and all were fresh along with the tomato sauce. The staff were very friendly and the owner Francesca is a gem. The only criticism I have is towards the untidiness of the toilet area and some of the decor which looks a bit outdated . If they put those issues right then they will get 5 stars and not 4 .

Disfrutamos muchísimo de esta comida, el servicio fue muy amable y personal, el personal y clientes habituales eran un placer estar entre y estaban muy bien informados sobre qué ver y dónde ir en nuestro corto viaje. Si nos quedamos en la zona de nuevo que no dudaría en llamar de nuevo.

Hemos estado yendo a Locanda 311 años y es el único restaurante que tiene nunca nos decepcionó y ya ha sido absolutamente delicioso. Cuando tenemos huéspedes alojarse con nosotros o cerca, es nuestra primera opción para ir a por una comida porque es acogedor y muy fiable. No estoy seguro de por dónde empezar. . La familia que dirige el restaurante es amable y cordial y chefs claramente muy talentoso. Nuestros platos favoritos son las albóndigas, el pollo a la parmesana y el picante penne. . Mi lista podría seguir. La salsa casera es rica y tomatoey y llenos de sabor. Cuando he tenido frutos en Locanda ha sido fresco y perfectamente cocinada. Todo el mundo es muy servicial, aunque a menudo me pide substituciones pequeño porque soy un fastidio. Incluso el vino tinto de la casa es preciosa. Hecho: la mejor con plátano y toffee tarta en Londres está aquí! Es para morirse. Upon entering, the place looked run down and miserable. The decor looked like it had seen better days and the chairs were wobbly and uncomfortable. The service was also poor. A guy in a jacket turned up with our food and simply asked “is this yours?”

Reservé una mesa y ya tenían todo listo para nosotros. Era un domingo por la tarde, así que esperaba bastante tranquila pero alrededor de las 7 de la tarde, estaba lleno de gente comiendo deliciosa pasta y platos de risotto. Es un lindo y pequeño restaurante decorado de forma muy tradicional. El menú está lleno de deliciosas opciones, era tan difícil elegir! Pero me fui para el "sueño de mariscos", que era un plato de marisco con tagliatelle caseros, almejas, mejillones, camarones y langostinos tigre en una salsa de tomate cherry y superó mis expectativas. . La pasta. estaba perfectamente cocinada al dente y el marisco era una explosión de sabores y la porción era enorme y llegó en un plato en forma de pescado precioso. La camarera vino a nosotros con queso parmesano y nos dio un servicio perfecto. Todos mis amigos disfrutaron mucho de su comida y el acabado tan rapido! Mis amigos tenían el risotto, pasta gnocchi y vegetariana y todo el mundo quede satisfecho. El servicio en el Locanda 311 es 10 / 10. El restaurante está dirigido por una familia italiana que son muy tradicionales, incluso de habla italiana con mi amigo italiano. Atendieron cada una de nuestras necesidades, era muy amable y se notaba que sabía acerca de la comida y asegurar que el cliente esté contento. Está claro que el verdadero pueblo italiano comer aquí, ya que la comida es simplemente increíble, impecable y delicioso. Il ristorante é mal arredato e trasandato. Il bagno piccolissimo e antico , non entravano le mani all' interno.Nel menù offrivano la pasta precotta . Ho dato inoltre uno sguardo alla cucina , sporca e disorganizzata. Unica nota positiva la pasta ai frutti di mare.

Desde que mi mejor amigo y yo encontramos el año pasado, 311 Locanda es el único lugar que reserva para coger nuestras chicas ups. La comida es increíble, las raciones son enormes, y siempre hay una gran variedad. Varían sus ofertas especiales, así cada vez que visita hay nuevas y emocionantes cosas para probar. Este es sin duda un auténtico restaurante italiano para aquellas personas que están aburridos de las cadenas. Por supuesto, es más caro, pero en mi opinión, merece la pena.

La aguja en la opción mapa de restaurante, y una muy buena opción oculta, una buena bienvenida amable servicio atento. La comida caliente abundante y sabrosa. Un ambiente agradable poder conversar sin necesidad de gritar al otro lado de la mesa. Comida italiana auténtica y muy bien presentada. Sin duda volvería allí.

Love dining at Locanda 311. It doesn't get much better than dining 'al fresco' in West Hampstead's friendly community village atmosphere. If you're looking for fine dining in 'City Boy' restaurants, this may not be the place for you, if however you enjoy fine Italian cuisine in a friendly family run restaurant, you won't be disappointed. Food standards and presentation are excellent. The restaurant used to be called 'Hidden Treasure', although the name changed to supplement a rebranding initiative, for me it's still a hidden treasure.

Popped in to this restaurant as we were visiting the area. I wish I had done research before we visited. The previous reviewer suggested this is the best Italian in North London. What a joke. This place has not had any money spent on it for years. It is scruffy and tired. I couldn't wait to leave. I had a Locanda penne and chicken dish from their special. It was ok but really expensive for what it was. We won't be back.

I've really gone off this place. the food is not nearly as good as it was the first time we visited was good and the service matched it. However, on our most recent visit, the food was mediocre and the service was poor.All in all, I really didn't enjoy it and we won't be back. Our overall feeling is that their heart is no longer init. Pity.

We got in with a terrible garlic smell. We were looking around where we are?! It is not the kind of smell that people is used to in an Italian restaurant. The waitress was kind, but she had dirty hair, a terrible sweater. The lady, who I assume was the owner was at the phone speaking very loud in Italian, without caring about that people would like to eat in peace next to her and it is not professional at all. Looking at the menu we saw things that were not Italian at all (chicken parmigiana???). In the end we ordered gnocchi with pumpkin with tomato sauce (?). I did not feel the pumpkin, the gnocchi were clearly frozen got from the supermarket, and the tomato sauce was full of garlic (at least we found the reason of the deep garlic smell...). All this with a coke and a glass of "Montepulciano wine" for 42 pounds!!! And we were still hungry... So I advice to avoid that place.

I ordered delivery and the the time of delivery was just right. I like the food. I ordered mussels and it was lovely. A bit pricey though but so far I liked their food.

I read the reviews and was convinced to give it a try, avocado salad with no avocado They don't even ask how the meal was as I suspect they kind of know is quite bad. Pasta I could make it at home from a packet, rock hard , we left most of the meal.I don't like to write bad reviews but it kind of help someone not to make the same mistake as us and save your money , go to a chain restaurant instead ...

Had sea food platter shared with my husband,. Lovely fresh seafood, pasta beautifully cooked. Wine for him and prosecco for me. Nice and local.great family atmosphere, very welcoming. Would recommend every time.

My partner and I visited here recently and we found the restaurant quite disappointing and over priced.We did read reviews and saw the negatives but though we would give it a try and judge for ourselves as also had positive reviews.Our starters of breaded mozzarella and Camembert were clearly not fresh and were bought in frozen produce resembling that that you find in supermarkets at Christmas. They were priced at £8/9 each.Our pasta was not fresh and was clearly the dried variety which I dont really expect when going to a family run authentic Italian restaurant, especially at £15 per main course.The wine was also charged at £25 per bottle and was of very poor quality.We did have a taste card and I did notice that the table besides us meal looked of a better quality to ours (possibly even fresh pasta) and received a warmer service (they appeared to be friends or regulars) so perhaps this is why however our meal still cost around £60 with discount and they add 12.5% service charge before applying discount.We are big fans of using local restaurants over chains however sadly will not be visiting here again and would rather an Italian chain over this with better food at a fraction of cost.

Warm welcome, great flavours, good-sized portions, relaxed atmosphere with staff and some customers talking Italian, What more could you ask more. We called in at 6pm, based on Trip reviews, without booking and all four of us were more than satisfied. Using a Taste card made for great value for money. Otherwise prices generally reasonable, Would happily go again and recommend it to others.

Having never visited this restaurant before, I was hoping that it was a branch of Locatelli's Locanda, but as soon as we entered the restaurant, we knew this was not the case.The starters - sharing platters of zucchini and calamare and crab claws - were fine, although two of my party were convinced that the claws were reconstituted. I'm not sure about that. However the main courses were more attractive to the eye, rather than to the palate. One of my group left half her escalope; the spaghetti chosen by another was rated as average; my seafood salad looked amazing, but was just okay and sat on a pile of wet lettuce with a great deal of watery liquid.The staff were charming and accepted my Tastecard with good grace. However, they could not connect their credit card machine to the terminal and it was fortunate that I had enough cash to cover the bill.Also - despite the fact that there were only two tables occupied (including ours), they had run out of the one vegetarian grill and their speciality trifle.Bit disappointed to be frank.

Visited for a birthday meal with fsmily including a one year old. The hostess Francesca could not have been more accommodating for the baby, making suggestions on food and bringing it very quickly before the rest, the penne with tomato and cheese was loved by the small guest. The mussels were delicious and the penne locanda was a delicious chicken dish. Everyone enjoyed their fresh, home cooked food and generous portions and the friendly welcoming atmosphere. There was just enough room to try the ice cream and again a great suggestion of strawberry sorbet for the baby which the adults also loved. Very happy time, hope to visit again soon. I've walked past Locanda many times but never ventured in. My loss. Welcoming atmosphere, great menu, strong wine list; a real Italian family. experience. Particular focus on lobster but I had an excellent truffle risotto. Not Haute cuisine but a definite cut above the standard pizza / pasta. And therefore more expensive. Will definitely be back.

I went with some friends quite randomly just looking for a restaurant in the area, and I think this will be my only visitI admit the staff is friendly and welcoming, my concerns are about the foodwe started with a shared "fritto misto" that looked and tasted from one of those frozen supermarket bagI took "spaghetti alle vongole" and left disappointed, I like pasta "al dente" however this was kinda raw, and everything was soaked in oil... took a while to digest all of iton the bright (or not) side the portions are generous and they offered us a tasty limoncello

Food was great. My wife and i regulary go on date nights and this place was great. It feels like home. As vegetarians the food was excellent. Small menu large flavour. Thanks.

Got Groupon deal as present and food was not too bad. eatable and portion good size but could be improved with little efort. To be fair i would not go into the place if would be just a walking past because of few reasons. 1st it is dirty and dusty, second it is tacky with loads of low quality stuff around and 3rd they still using papper table cloth. If you can't afford quality stuff, don't use low quality. it is nothing bad to use no cloth just make it so it works for you.

My fiancé and I have been at Locanda last week, starting from not been acknowledged when we first popped in, we had been given a table where was hard to fit and looking at the menu, it looked everything but truly Italian. Anyway we gave it a go, worst choice ever, the food was bought in a supermarket and just fried, I hardly believe that if I would have bought it and fried it myself at home, probably it would have been less plasticky and more enjoyable. Surely I will not be back! I wonder how they have managed to stay open for 10 years!!!

Visited this place for the first time and purchased a Groupon voucher last minute as it was such a deal (seafood platter including a whole lobster, Tiger prawns, squid, mussels and clans followed by limoncello and amaretti biscuits for £36) and we were not disappointed the food was fantastic there was plenty of it and you could tell the seafood was fresh! The waitress/waiter were also extremely friendly and the service was fast. The only issue I had with this restaurant is that you could not pay by card for anything less than £20 (I haven't heard of a minimum spend being that high before) which is slightly inconvenient as the cash machine is a good 5 minutes down the road.But overall I would definitely recommend this to anyone that enjoys seafood and Italian food.

If you want real and good Italian food, served by real and beautiful Italian people with real and big Italian portions then Locanda never will let you down. My fiancée and I discovered Locanda about a year ago on a dreary Sunday afternoon after an intense google search for where in London we could find a coveted Chicken Parmigiana. Locanda came up and being close to home, we went down to try it out.From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted by the hosts as if we were guests in their home as opposed to customers at their restaurant. "Come in, sit wherever you like" we were told. We accepted their hospitality and instantly we became friends with the owners like we'd known them for years. Chicken Parmigiana's were eaten, provolone bites were consumed and despite being full to the point of popping, I managed to find room for a Nutella soaked banoffee pie that is hand down one of the best desserts I've ever tried. I have no regrets in my gluttony, after all, I didn't want to insult the hosts. Since that day we've been back to Locanda many, many times over. We've made it 'our' restaurant and feel very much at home each time we go.We went last night to celebrate my Fiancée's 25th birthday. Being a food blogger and usually one for the fine dining, I asked her where she'd like to go, "any restaurant in London" I said and hands down she insisted on Locanda, so we went.As usual we were greeted with a recognised smile and given our choice of seat. The hostess, having not seen them in a while, joined us at our table for a chat where my Fiancée was more than excited to share the news of our recent engagement and her birthday celebrations and again we were treated like family, told we're a beautiful couple and they even gave her a bottle of Prosecco as a birthday gift.If this review doesn't sell you, I can't speak personally and say you'll not have a nicer dining experience in London as you will at Locanda. I want to be selfish and keep it all to myself but that wouldn't be fair on the rest of the world.

without favourite Italian closing (tuttebenne) we thought why not try this new local restaurant. it's a no frills cosy family Italian. do not expect romantic nor fancy but do except traditional delicious Italian home cooking. octopus salad starter v generous and the linguine seafood dream lived up to its name alongside the gnocchi fondue desert!. a lovely addition to West Hampstead

I visited for dinner this week with a couple of friends using one of their Taste cards. When I arrived the waiter, who greeted me with a 'yes rather than hello, looked utterly confused that my friend had booked a table and had to consult his manager to assign me a table. We ordered risotto and pasta as none of the seafood was 50% off with the taste card. The service was really poor and seemed to be compounded by the fact that our waiter's English was so limited that we constantly had to rephrase what we were saying. We had to ask multiple times for bread even though the manager had initially offered it to us. When the main courses came out one of them was wrong so my friend ended up eating after we had finished ours. At another point my friend had to practically scream to get the attention of the staff to get another glass of wine after minutes of trying- it's not a very big restaurant and there were only 2 other tables occupied at that point. To top it off they put a 12% service charge on what the bill would have been without the Taste card. As the service had been so poor I challenged this and asked if we had to pay it, the manager said yes. So we paid £12 service on a £65 bill!In short the food was nothing special, the service was really poor and there was a hidden service charge of an exorbitant amount. And if you don't drink wine there is very little choice of drink, unless you enjoy drinking concentrated juices. My final grumble is the state of the toilet, with a seat that was not securely attached in an extremely shabby area of the building. To be fair the couple that had the Groupon next to us had what looked like really nice sea food though still the same bumbling service.

If I would have to rate the restaurant only by the quality of the seafood platter I bought with the Groupon coupon, I would have given them an average rating as the food was OK but not great, but the service, the price, the atmosphere made up for the little disappointment with the food. For the price you pay you cant go wrong, but I would not pay the full price

Locanda is a fabulous, warm and friendly restaurant with delicious food. We had a variety of different tastes in our party and they catered to all our needs. We felt like one big happy family by the end of the meal. Wonderful hosts and great hospitality. Will definitely go again.

We purchased a Groupon deal and went to the restaurant at lunchtime on a weekend. The place was very cosy and had a nice authentic feel to it, reminded us a lot of our holiday in Italy. Staff were friendly and the service was fast, but there weren't that many people in for late lunch. We had a big seafood platter to share: one medium-sized lobster, four king prawns, a few calamari and a lot of mussels. All was cooked to perfection and the garlic sauce was also spot-on: not overpowering or too salty, very rich, and just strong enough to complement the seafood. We also ordered a large salad, a bread basket and a dessert to share, all in all turned out a pretty large meal. If not for the deal, it would have been very expensive for us but for a special occasion that would be a perfect place and we would love to come back again.

This restaurant is a little gem in the heart of West Hampstead. The quality of the food is excellent and there is a good variety of dishes, ranging from classic antipasti through to pasta, meat and fish dishes. The portions are also very generous, making the restaurant excellent value for money. Come here ready to eat: the desserts are massive. You must try the mini caramel-filled donuts, served alongside warm Nutella. Just wow. It is also a cosy restaurant with a nice feel to it and the service is extremely welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Francesca and the team are a real delight. I will definitely keep coming to this lovely restaurant.

I went to Locanda 311 last night for dinner with a friend. The main reason i chose it was to finally use my tastecard which i bought by accident. They offer 50% off food with the tastecard which is brilliant and they are not a chain!I was pleasantly surprised by Locanda 311! The service was excellent, our waitress was able to help with the menu choices and was friendly.We shared a pasta dish to start with,pasta with chicken in white blue cheese sauce. It was very nice, i would maybe prefer a stronger blue cheese flavour.I had the chicken parmigiano as a main and it was really nice indeed. It was great value using a tastecard, mid-range without. Worth visiting, especially if you have a tastecard!

We have lunch here recently. The food was nothing special but edible. We would not rush back to this restaurant.....many others to try in the area which we walked thru after leaving this one. Glad we had a voucher because we would not consider eating here again without a voucher.

We visited Locanda this week using a Groupon voucher. Do not believe the quoted "original price" for the meal was true because looking at the menu our meal wouldn't have cost that much. However most definitely worth the price paid. The seafood platter was fresh, nicely cooked and really tasty. The restaurant is quite small and there wasn't much space on our table once the platter and our plates arrived but the service was very efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Francesca and her staff are lovely and ever so friendly, definitely making everyone feel welcome. Certainly worth a visit.

I went there on the Tastecard half-price deal - the food wasn't even worth it at that price. I had the meatballs made with their "ancient Neapolitan recipe" - they were totally tasteless and were served in a "sauce" that was literally just tinned chopped tomatoes. Everyone else's food was incredibly plain. Friendly enough staff, and we didn't try the seafood, but that was our experience.

We visited Locanda 311 with a Living Social Voucher for Lunch on a Saturday for the first time. What an amazing find. This is a really friendly restaurant and very family orientated. Our lunch consisted of a huge plate of Lobster, Prawns, Squid, Mussels and Clams in a wonderful garlicky, buttery wine sauce. Followed by a big shot of Limoncello and Ameretti Biscuits with Chocolate Chips. The Menu was pretty extensive but very reasonable and our bottle of House Wine was just under £15. We live quite far away in Southend on Sea, so travelled up especially but if I lived nearby, I would be visiting every week (if I could daily!) to work my way through the fantastic Menu which was full of choice and exciting dishes. The staff were really lovely too. If you do live nearby, I really do urge you to visit. We will return.

Had my mother's birthday lunch here today. Francesca and her team made us feel welcome and accommodated all 10 of us, ages 2 to really old. My mother is in a wheelchair and access was very good. The food arrived in good time and was delicious. We will all, collectively and individually, be going back there!

We went yesterday to this amazing cosy restaurant in west Hampstead! Isn't the first time for me and I'm always bringing new friends to this place to let them know how good this restaurant is!!! The food is the best Italian food I've ever had in london and the staff ( Francesca) make this restaurant even more wonderful because of their great attitude! I definitely will go again and again.

Me and my husband went there last week,we ate in the "al fresco" terrace as it was warm.The food is delicious,there were so many fantastic dishes that we took 15 min to decide what we wanted (i would have ate all of them to be honest ;) . Fresh deep fried calamari super tender,clams and mussels tasted amazing; as main we both had seafood Pasta,portion are huge, and the food is delicious.desserts as well are to die for:banoffy pie and fried gnocchi stuffed with caramel served with chocolate fondue!!!fantastic place we will definitely be back soon!!

Echte italienische Küche geniessen in einem tolles Ambiente. Das Essen ist mit Liebe und Geschmack gekocht. Alle Gerichte sind ideenreich und auf höchstem Niveau. My girlfriend and I went there few days ago, we had a very warm welcome from Francesca. As starter I had mussels in white wine sauce and she had mix bruschetta; as main course we had gnocchi Al salmone and lobster linguine. All dishes were great Definitely recommend. Well done locanda 311

Since the first time I went to this restaurant I became practically a regular customer, all the plates are exquisite, I love the seafood dream pasta and I would never go without a dessert....Amazing service and atmosphere....

This restaurant is a must to visit!Their menu is simple but with great choices of home made dishes and plenty specials to choose from too.The seafood platters they offer is amazing and so fresh!!!Definitely you don't want to miss out on their famous desserts which are made by the owner herself...Believe me with this friendly and informal service you will feel like home in seconds.And they do have a beautiful patio...there's no better place to dine in!

Since the moment you arrive to the moment you live you will feel like in Italy. The food is very nice, big portion full of flavour and they serve a mix of classic and modern Italian cuisine. Fantastic waitress, that really care about you and is passionate about the food. Remember to save some space for the dessert, because you will not find any better elsewhere than in here. I already miss the place I will definitely go back to it.

Lovely little restaurant on West End Lane. The food was great, good generous portions full of flavor. We came here for an anniversary meal recently and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly attentive and the restaurant has a very personal, family feel, which made the night feel extra special. It is a neat little place in West Hampstead -- a hidden gem. We definitely recommend it!

After a day pounding the streets looking for a student flat for our son we stopped for a reviving drink sitting out in the sun and noticed Locanda 311 opposite. It looked attractive and the TA entries were encouraging so we wandered in to see if there was a table. It was still only 18.30 and a children's party in full session dominating the admittedly small dining room. Out of the chaos a smiling face appeared and we were told we could have a table in 30 to 45 mins which was perfect. When we returned the party had finished and there was a greater semblance of order with couples dining. We were by then 5 making us one of the largest parties and the welcome could not have been warmer: lovely, smiling and generous hosts who went out of their way to make it a memorable experience. We variously had a delicious bruschetta primavera, mozzarella bites and goats cheese salad - generous to a fault, one between two might have sufficed for many. That was followed by wonderful duck filled pasta parcels, an arrabbiata where I was asked to indicate the desired strength of chilli, salmon on pesto soaked linguini and an outstanding spaghetti vongole. We were beyond puddings albeit they looked great. The house White and red were terrific value at £14.95 each. Limoncello all round was a generous bonus. We would not hesitate to go back for what was authentic hearty fare served with huge enthusiasm and smiles in a fun and lively place.

You get what you pay for. Quality comes with its price. Francesca and her Husband are a very lovely couple to meet and served by. We visited this place first time Nov last year to treat our daughter on her birthday and keep coming back since then or actually I should say, we become very good friends now.Their sea food is best specially home made desserts but my daughter is not a big fan of sea food hence they treated her with the world's best veg dish.You must try once.

This is a cute place we were there for an early dinner so it was quiet with only another table there. The service was very nice and the food was decent. We thought the restaurant was a bit old and on the dirty side. I had a dirty fork and the tables were dusty and chairs were old. I would not go out of my way to recommend this place but if you need a quick and decent Italian place this would work.

Lunched at this local Italian standby on an Easter Sunday. Only non-Italians in the place which was otherwise filled with family groups, from as small as three to as large as 16. Wonderful multi-generational atmosphere -- slightly chaotic but joyous. Excellent food. Generous portions. Friendly and efficient service. Above average prices.

Have been to this restaurant with my family 3 times in the past 6 months. Food and service is consistent. Prices of main course are on the higher side, however the large (massive) portion sizes mean 2 people can easily share. Leave room for home made desserts too!

We were five for dinner on a Saturday evening. The place was full and there was a relaxed ambience. The service ,as always was good and friendly. We were impressed that the kitchen was accommodating in that we requested some changes in a specific menu which was then implemented.The food was good though one in our party commented that he was not impressed with his salad which had chilli in it. Upon walking inside my first reaction was underwhelming, however once I sat down and was greeted I slowly warmed to the place. Service was great, food was great and from what initially felt small and claustrophobic actually felt relatively intimate and quirky after a few mins. Yes, it isn't a large place and as a result you may find yourself quite close to another table but it's unpretentiousness was a welcome change to many restaurants. I would go again.
