If you want to feel as if you’re in Paris go here You get the French attitude Arrogant and rude I asked for a drink and a croissant and she said is it takeaway , I said no She’s wearing earmuffs so can’t hear I sit down she starts shaking a bag at me and shouting cappuccino When I said I’m sitting here because it’s not takeaway she starts arguing with me thst j said it was takeaway !! I mean , I know if I’m sitting down or not ! She then comes over and throws two plates st me Honestly this is the second time I’ve had this in here , they seem to think because they are over charging you that you should get the nasty attitude with it You might be French but you’re not in Paris !

Absolutely delicious coffee, bread, brownies and great atmosphere, good music, Not pretentious, cozy and classy! My one criticism are the almond croissants which are quite dry and just aren’t at the same level as the rest of their products but everything else is delish! Prices are on the high side but I think they are fair!

Expensive coffee, expensive cakes, broken chairs. Thought it might have changed. Only went here as the queue was too long at Gails.

I accept that you might pay a bit of a premium for coffee, but this place is reminiscent of highway robbery. I'm surprised that the owners don't have the staff dressed in masks. A coffee with Almond/Soya etc is £4 yes £4.......I am all for business making a profit, but when you consider that they pay around £1.60 for a carton of "special" milk it's a bit of a joke. Just a thought for you here. When you buy a cup of coffee. You, are buying 2 cartons of milk, or to put it another way, you are paying for 20 cups for other people. They make around £35 / carton. Seems nonsensical to me.

A éviter.

Great place for sit in or take out coffee. Also has a wonderful selection of delicious patisserie. Bohemian atmosphere where you can sit down indoors, outside on the pavement or in the rear courtyard. Very friendly staff who are attentive with service which I have always found attentive, quick and friendly. I travel each weekend here to Victoria Park Village for my fix of flavoursome flat whites or tea with delicious tartlets rather than my local cafes in Wanstead High St which lack the authenticity or atmosphere of Loafing

I booked a table for 18 people at to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We arrived at 1 pm, expecting to have lunch together, as I had clearly stated when making the reservation. Unfortunately, the entire experience was a disaster. Upon arrival, we were told to order through an app, but after trying for 30 minutes, the app kept saying they were too busy to accept orders. We had no choice but to go to the bar to order directly, where we were told the wait time for food would be at least an hour—despite it being peak lunchtime. After waiting patiently, one of our friends went back to the bar to place an order after confirming a new dish choice with his wife. When he returned to the bar just five minutes later, he was told that they were no longer accepting *any* orders at all, and that he would have to order through Deliveroo and have it delivered to the restaurant! This was at 1:30 pm, during peak lunchtime, for a group that had made a reservation specifically for lunch in the restaurant. To make matters worse, after waiting over an hour, we received below-average food that was overpriced and disappointing. This is absolutely unacceptable for a place that claims to cater to large groups and events. The lack of communication, delays, and poor service completely ruined what was meant to be a special celebration. If you’re planning a large event or want a decent meal in a timely manner, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. I regret choosing this place for such an important occasion. ---
