It’s hard to express my disgust with this shop. They keep food overnight wrapped up as any local would tell you but pretend it’s all freshly made by their kitchen and you often hear the staff talking about how some things are 3 days old or more. We try to support local but there just no point. When the owner isn’t there it’s a lovely inviting atmosphere thanks to lovely staff and you could almost overlook the cheap trash interior but it’s not enough you get me? The chairs are scrap wood the tops of the tables are falling off the plates are cracked with pieces missing everything here is like a charity shop rejects bin. Food is presented with a smile and you have to feel for the staff and management team here who are clearly doing their best but it’s a sham just ask yourself would you want to eat a 3 day old quiche? I’ve personally witnesses staff picking mould off them. Most recently upon seeing some fantastic changes there through the window we chanced a fresh visit but today was saddened to see it’s reverted back to what it was and their rodent issue is worse than you can dare believe. Please stay away from this place, I will be reporting this to the council as they have absolutely no hygiene standards unless you count the new improvements and most likely those have been put back too.

If you want to feel as if you’re in Paris go here You get the French attitude Arrogant and rude I asked for a drink and a croissant and she said is it takeaway , I said no She’s wearing earmuffs so can’t hear I sit down she starts shaking a bag at me and shouting cappuccino When I said I’m sitting here because it’s not takeaway she starts arguing with me thst j said it was takeaway !! I mean , I know if I’m sitting down or not ! She then comes over and throws two plates st me Honestly this is the second time I’ve had this in here , they seem to think because they are over charging you that you should get the nasty attitude with it You might be French but you’re not in Paris !

Absolutely delicious coffee, bread, brownies and great atmosphere, good music, Not pretentious, cozy and classy! My one criticism are the almond croissants which are quite dry and just aren’t at the same level as the rest of their products but everything else is delish! Prices are on the high side but I think they are fair!

Expensive coffee, expensive cakes, broken chairs. Thought it might have changed. Only went here as the queue was too long at Gails.

I accept that you might pay a bit of a premium for coffee, but this place is reminiscent of highway robbery. I'm surprised that the owners don't have the staff dressed in masks. A coffee with Almond/Soya etc is £4 yes £4.......I am all for business making a profit, but when you consider that they pay around £1.60 for a carton of "special" milk it's a bit of a joke. Just a thought for you here. When you buy a cup of coffee. You, are buying 2 cartons of milk, or to put it another way, you are paying for 20 cups for other people. They make around £35 / carton. Seems nonsensical to me.

Le café a l'air mignon mais il est d'une propreté douteuse, avec une souris qui grignotait derrière le comptoir. Donc on a juste pris un café, qui était amer et pas terrible. A éviter.

Great place for sit in or take out coffee. Also has a wonderful selection of delicious patisserie. Bohemian atmosphere where you can sit down indoors, outside on the pavement or in the rear courtyard. Very friendly staff who are attentive with service which I have always found attentive, quick and friendly. I travel each weekend here to Victoria Park Village for my fix of flavoursome flat whites or tea with delicious tartlets rather than my local cafes in Wanstead High St which lack the authenticity or atmosphere of Loafing
