Very expensive. 4 teas/coffee and 1 slice of red velvet cake and 1 tray bake was £23.50. The cooked breakfast was average. Toasties were ok. I know it is in central Edinburgh and has been closed during lockdown but even so. You also have to order at desk and pay upfront.

Great coffee and rocky road! Would definitely recommend if you want to go to a proper city café. Will be visiting again next time we are in Edinburgh!

Lovely little place to go for a quick coffee stop. We had a couple of little fancies and coffees. It's such a great location on the Royal Mile. Lovely view of the hustle & bustle of the street, and very friendly staff.

No vamos a volver.

My very young children and I had a shocking experience with the manager at this store today after being sorely misunderstood then treated like animals; we walked away genuinely floored at the way we had been treated, and physically pushed out of the store. In hindsight I regret not standing my ground and waiving my rights in the power-hungry lion’s face. I will be delighted to never return nor give our recommendation to any friends or family. So long, Hotel Chocolat.

Was recommended here as I am celiac and they have a gf menu. As we were unsure what time we would be going (prior commitment before hand) I did not book. We arrived at 2.45pm and there was a sign outside saying 'bookings only, no walk ins' This was NOT on their website. We went in and spoke to a female member of staff who advised exactly what the sign had said. I then spoke to a male member of staff and asked where on their website it stated what the sign said, he said it didn't. Advised that due to rugby being on, they were unusually busy. The restaurant is large and they were not full to capacity. Asked if there was anyway we could have a table for 2 for an hour, point blank told no. We won't be returning.

Popped in for a pint en route to the Taylor Swift gig at Murrayfield. It can be found at the west end of Princes Street, just as you start walking down Queensferry Road. To be honest, our pints weren’t amazing. Two of us opted for the Pravha and found them a bit flat and sickly. A real shame, because the selection of draughts on offer was great and the pub itself had a nice traditional feel to it. Cost wise, by far the cheapest round of the day but for quality, one of the weakest.
