Liz's Plaice in Cheshire East

We first tried this chippy last week and again today,freshly cooked when you order, we ordered haddock and chips and curry sauce,delicious, thebatter on the fish was thin and crispy and the chips were lovely and dry not abit of oil and grease anywhere. Very nice and polite man behind the counter. From now on this will be our go to chippy and as we live just a short walk away it could not be better.

Top quality fish and chips. Super fresh with generous portions. Sandbach has a number of good chip shops but I would definitely recommend trying this one out. You won’t be disappointed.

We were after some chippy chips as a treat. We normally go to top of the hill chip shop but they were closed, so we decided to try this one as we heard it was under new owners. Overall though it was very poor. The chips were bland, peas very watered down and the mini fish dinner we got for our child was nothing to write home about. The chips were super greasy and they just smell like tasty and fresh fish and chips like they should do. The most disappointing element was the person serving us. He seemed liked he didn’t want to be there, really fed up. The only positive was it was slightly cheaper than some chip shops. Overall we gave it ago but never again. Will be sticking with a usual chip shop next time.

What a lovely little chippy - all food cooked fresh to order. I had fish and chips, my mum fish and peas and we were both pleased with our food (which ended with empty plates!); even the dog had a chip or two! The batter was crispy and light and the fish cooked beautifully. Will definitely be back. Staff also very friendly.

I'm sorry but will never set foot in this place ever again. The portions were small, which was a good job anyway as the food was awful. Looked like it had all been sat for 3 hours (which it probably had been). It was inedible. Although I was so hungry I ate what little there was of it. I didn't die, so that was a positive.

very good, I had liver and chips, both cooked whilst I waited. Liz was friendly and helpful, I'd buy from her again.

Been here many times since moving to Sandbach around 8 years ago. Never had a bad meal from here in many, many visits over the years...the fish is fresh and like moby dick! Portions of the lovely chips are generous, battered sausages always a winner (can't order a fish without the battered banger!). Mrs opts for the steamed puds now and again for a change up. Liz is always great to chat to while I'm waiting for the food to cook..proper top drawer chippy!

Fantastic food! Couldn't have asked for better. Such a quaint little place like stepping back into the 90s. Young lad behind counter was pleasant and Liz behind the fryer was chirpy while busy. Such a fantastic find!

Don't often have fish and chips, but this is the place I go to. Always been good. Also good service from Liz.

Great to find a chippy that cooks to order, in fat hot enough to cook not drench in oil...a few crispy English size chips ...lovely. why would you not order fish chips and mushy peas?

This is a great little chippy in Wheelock, Sandbach, Chesire. Great fresh fish, very nice service, good opening and closing time, very good value for money. :)
