Un repas simple mais bien présenté dans une ambiance chaleureuse. Nous avons pris des sandwichs qui sont arrivés en assiettes avec une belle petite salade d'accompagnement. Merci pour l'accueil c'est très bon

I have had such a great trip around Scotland, met the warmest nicest people and eaten some of the nicest food ever. Until I got to this place. Anyone reading this, and you are in Aberfoyle, please do not go in here. Please save your time and your money. Firstly, you pay at the till, before you ever receive any food, so it means that they already have your money. Secondly,, the food takes ages and ages to arrive, 40 minutes plus. Thirdly, no atmosphere- no radio, plain decor, freezing cold, no smiles from staff, it is horrible. If we hadnt already paid, we would have walked out. Fourthly-the food. Dear God, it was so bad that I almost admire how soup can taste like dish water and the bread was the cheap plastic stuff you would just never eat. My husband's food was cold, plasticky and very very unpleasant. I felt very sorry for the young women working there, who are under pressure and were definitely trying their best under pretty grim conditions. The one star is for them, and most certainly, is not for the owner of this place.

After a pleasant afternoon exploring Loch Lomond and the Trossachs at 3.30pm we were in need of sustinace. There’s an aparant shortage of cafes in the Trossachs so it was a relief to stumble across this no nonsense cafe on Main Street in Aberfoyle. We could have sat outside and watched the world go by but it was just a bit too chilly in the autumn sunshine so we opted for a table in the clean cafe. A chip butty ,panini , hot drinks were made to order and the choice of cakes was great ( it was Sunday tea time after all ). My son was happy with his generous slice of vegan chocolate cake which he says was excellent and I had the lemon and elderflower cake which was grand. Next door ( and I believe owned by the same people) is a nice dog friendly cafe for those who wish to bring their best friends. The staff were friendly and I got a joking ‘telling off’ for eating my cake before the panini arrives from the nice lady behind the counter which set the tone for a laid back and enjoyable bite to eat. All in all a pleasant experiance and I recommend this establishment. Thank you. ( PS it’s directly opposite the coop and there is a huge public car park behind the coop ).

Visited recently, was an amazing place, food and drinks were brilliant. Unfortunately the staff, not so much. I think his name was Rhys Wykes. Seemed nice enough, but kept talking about how he scammed people online. Agreeing to exchange items, wait for them to send the item to him and then blocking them. Not the type of conversation you want to hear, makes him sound dishonest and untrustworthy.

Do not go go here! I realised I had been over charged and when I took the receipt and menu up to the woman at the till she got her back up and was very defensive (almost as if she had done it deliberately). She told me I had a copy of the “old menu” on my table and wouldn’t be refunded the difference. On my way back to the table I picked up a few other menu’s and it turns out that every table must have this “old menu”. I couldn’t be bothered arguing with her so waiting for my toastie, when I went back to my car and opened it I was faced with this monstrosity. “Bacon, brie and cranberry” minus the cranberry, 1 bit of brie and some sort of meat scattered around. Pictures below of what to look forward to if you go here. £20 for this? If you don’t laugh you’ll cry.

Partner and I stopped in after a walk and thought right try a local place rather than give money to big chain.

Lovely and friendly. Great hot chocolate, just what you need on a winter's day. Cakes are huge, well worth a visit

Well it was £20 for 2 coffees, breakfast rolls and cake... the food was fine, the coffee average... I could not criticise it... but it didn't really do it for me.

Recommended by several local people and easy to park nearby, we found the choice of menu suitable for us and finding this cafe did add to our holiday as Macdonalds where we were staying nearby had superb cuisine for the evenings too.

This is our second visit to this establishment and we really enjoyed the experience. The coffee was hot and was accompanied with hot milk. The scones were large and appeared to be freshly baked and there was plenty jam and butter for them. The cost was reasonable

Very basic cafe with very average food. Went for lentil soup which was full of celery (not mentioned on menu) and a toasted sandwich which was as bland as they come.

We have enjoyed visiting The Aizle many times over the past several years for both soup and a toastie or tea/coffee and cake. The staff are always friendly and efficient but the main attraction is the cakes which, although pricey are absolutely delicious. We had visited in May and had two teas and an americano coffee with hot milk and of course the cakes. Unfortunately, when we went there at the weekend, it is now apparently the practice to charge extra for the massive expense and effort involved in steaming a spoonful of milk to have with the coffee which means that a small cup of americano coffee which costs £2.65, presumably with cold milk, now has a surcharge of 75p, making it £3.40. We visit many restaurants and cafes and no-one else makes this additional charge so it really seems like greed. We won't be back.

Thank you for a lovely meal last night, chicken stroganoff tasty and tender . Husband had babotie- tried some and had such delicate flavour, gorgeous. We were 30mins away but definitely worth the drive round , would recommend you try it . And should mention guy serving us, Mike I think, offered a warm & welcoming visit.

Beautiful little place serving tasty coffee & a fabulous menu. We only had scones which are freshly made & super tasty but I would prefer clotted cream not squirty cream. Friendly staff & fab decor & comfy seats. The window display is beautiful

With a few global giants nearby this independent knocks them for six in terms of quality and value. Recently reopened, post covid closure and I urge people to support this and other independent businesses, but only if they deserve it as this one clearly does. I had a bacon and a square sausage roll for breakfast and both were lovely. Returned on my last day for another bacon roll and had a couple of takeout rolls for later on the long train ride back home to Birmingham. Nice staff, nice place, deserves support. Recommended.
