We have been to this bakery twice now when on holiday this year and last year. It serves cakes, pasties and more with a huge selection and some unusual flavours. We got two pasties and two sausage rolls for lunch. My spinach and feta pastie was lovely. I also had a rocky road type chocolate slice which was delicious. I’m pretty sure we will always get lunch and cakes here when we are staying near Narbeth.

Such a lovely bakery with a wide selection of things for lunch and cakes all well presented but what made it stand out was the patience of the staff and how welcoming and friendly they were. Would highly recommend

Went to this bakery today to buy three slices of cheesecake for a special dinner. The lady who served me couldn't be bothered to be careful with the pieces of cheesecake and dropped one of them twice between the plate and the box. She then picked up the strawberries which had fallen off with her fingers and threw them into the box. I was so disappointed when I looked in the box to see that all three pieces were mashed together and no good to serve at a dinner. Why couldn't she have done it carefully?

We have enjoyed previous visits, but on this occasion the cafe and toilets were closed, and they were just doing takeaways. The cakes looked delicious, however, so OK so long as you only need takeaways. No indication if the cafe is reopening.

Visited the shop on monday 21st March 2 members of staff in the shop chatting away to themselves whilst I'm stood there waiting to be served. A guy came in that they knew and was served before me, they were chatting away to him and still the other free member of staff made no effort to serve me. When the chap left one of the ladys eventually made an effort to serve me. Ordered 2 pieces of what was supposed to be honeycomb cheesecake. Overcharged me. It was the blandest cheesecake I've tasted. The topping was just chocolate and a Malteser. No taste whatsoever and Overpriced at £2.95 a slice. Definitely would advise avoiding this place as customer service is definitely crap. Reading other reviews it's been going on for sometime and something the manager needs to rectify. Needless to say I will never spend another penny in this shop

What terrible service we experienced today. Went in to buy some cakes and got ignored and had to ask for someone to serve us while 3 members of staff were there. They didn't greet us with an hello, just what do you want. No eye contact and no conversation. We left the shop and said thank you and goodbye only to be ignored by all of them. What an awful way of treating customers. I felt uncomfortable being in there and were made to feel like you aren't from around here so you're not welcome. Just because we don't speak Welsh does not mean we don't live here. We are infact locals and use many of the shops in Narberth but certainly won't be stepping foot inside this place ever. You may make nice cakes but the service is appalling. Shop local , don't think so. I will get my cakes from M&S in the future.

I walked in expecting delicious local freshly baked goods and was very disappointed to have been served a dry pasty heated up IN THE MICROWAVE to approximately the temperature of my bum crack. Each time we’ve visited Narbeth we’ve called in for either coffee or lunch. Home made cawl always delicious served with bread roll and cheese. Also their breakfasts are served til 1.30 and the ‘small breakfast’ was far from small and good value. Amazing selection of cakes and desserts but sadly no room after the main course. No Wi-fi offered but staff friendly and service good.

We walked into Liz cafe, which looked very inviting on a miserable wet day. The cakes and pastries looked lovely at the front counter and there were 2 gluten free options for me which looked very good. We ordered a jacket potato, steak baguette and omelette, along with a slice of the gluten free apple and gingerbread cake. I adore gingerbread, but unfortunately it was extremely dry and the icing somewhat hard. I couldn't eat it. My guess is that it has been sitting there for a few days at least. The jacket potato was ok, not crunchy but tasted alright and my husband said the baguette was nice. The staff were friendly enough, they just need a few refinements on the presentation of their food and a closer eye kept on the quality of the cakes that are being sold.

We needed somewhere to eat quickly as the children were really hungry for simple fayre. The shop counter was very busy offering sandwiches with a variety of fillings, cakes and pastries. We sat down and the children opted for sausage rolls with myself and partner ordering baked potatoes. A plateful arrived but if you are going to offer baked potatoes on a menu at least bake them. I have assumed due to the texture of both potatoes and sausage rolls these were all microwaved. Disappointing.

This place is located on the main street in Narberth. The front of the shop is takeaway sandwiches and coffees, with the "eat-in" part being towards the back. You have to place your orders at the till at the very back which can be a little confusing as there is also a till at the front. When we visited it was very busy (people were waiting for seats and there was almost a scene when a family barged past some more elderly people who had been waiting to grab a recently-vacated table). However, despite this the service was prompt and we did not have to wait long at all either for service or for the food. The menu is quite extensive and the prices not unreasonable given that this is a popular tourist destination. The food was good and I would happily return here if visiting Narberth again.

We got there at ten to five and we were told it was takeaway only, fair enough as they probably closed at five I thought. We weren't directed to either the front or back so we headed towards the back where we could see a coffee machine to be greeted by a surly 'takeaway is at the front' so we turned around and headed back to the front. We ordered two coffees to take away and were then informed that the coffee machines had been cleaned for the day so they wouldn't be able to make us a coffee but the assistant could make us a tea?! We'd have ordered tea if we'd wanted one! Needless to say, we left empty handed and I won't bother going back!

We have been visiting here regularly for lunch for several years. Best to arrive early to guarantee a table up in the more cosy rear section - away from the door and the retail counter. The correct procedure is to sit down and wait for a waitress to bring a menu to you (but feel free to go up to the Food Orders counter at the rear if you are in a hurry and pick up your own), check on the Specials boards too and then go to the Food Orders counter to give your choices/pay. Your food and drinks will arrive promptly, and everything is fantastic. My favourite are their Deep Fried Potato Wedges with bacon and cheese. A perfect portion size for lunch. Lots of choices on the menu - including fabulous cooked breakfasts until 1.30 pm. Yes, there are loads of great choices for food in Narberth, which is why we love it (as well as the wonderful shopping!) - but this is good honest cooking/nothing fancy, and a friendly Pembrokeshire welcome. Take some cakes home with you too!

I recently called in asking for a vegetarian breakfast. I asked if the hashbrowns and veggie sausages were cooked separatly from the meat. I was told it was all in the same frier.Well it's not vegetarian then!!! So why on earth are they illegally labelling it on their menu as vegetarian? I didn't even dare ask if the cheese on the jacket potato was vegetarian as likely they would have no idea what `i was talking about. So I asked for mushrooms on toast OOOPS told I can't have that the mushrooms are cooked in the same friers as meat!!!This is a trading standards issue.....what if someone where vegetarian due to serious allergies towards animal fats? Not to mention the moral aspect of it and how disrespectful it is misleading people that way.

A family owned business it offers a good selection of meals on the menu and always vegetable cawl or homemade soup on the board. A wide choice of cakes available too. You order and pay at the back of the shop then the food is delivered to your table. I have always found the staff to be polite here and the service prompt. There is also a takeaway service. Toilets are up a flight of stairs, which could be awkward for anyone with mobility problems.I have deducted a point from the rating as when the tables are being cleared I do not like to see the waitress spraying the table with surface cleanser as it goes all over the sugar sachets in the bowl as well. The scones tasted OK at first but we were left with a ''soda'' type taste in our mouths for a few hours afterwards. Plenty of cream available but one small pot of jam each - nowhere near enough. Left feeling very dissapointed.

Was not sure what to expect as signs aren't they welcoming and little run down and not very trendy for what is becoming a trendy village for shoppers. staff were polite, food was very tasty. My girlfriend had veg soup which was delicious and my son had chicken nuggets and chips. The nuggets seemed to be home made and the ships were fantastic. Very reasonable price and would go back and cakes looked lovely. So may not look much but definitely ok for a quick lunch or a coffee or tea. Milk shake, 1 water, 1 coffee, sausage roll, veg soup and kids chicken nuggets and chips for under £14 so very good value.

first called in for a coffee, it was very full and that's why I knocked one star off as it was boiling in there, a fan would have been nice. Our next visit in the same week was for take out lasagne which was very tasty and of course we had to have one of their cakes!!

I used to go here on occasion while stationed at Brawdy. It was a great place to go after a session of surfing. I was saddened to hear that it recently suffered a fire.

Absolutely amazing food. Excellent service. Nothing is too much trouble. Staff are friendly, chatty & helpful, and it’s clean. Definitely recommend the coronation chicken, cheese salad. Hubby had baked spud first time which he enjoyed & baguette 2nd time each he enjoyed. And the cakes WOW!! I will miss the carrot cake which I highly recommend & the custard slice is just as amazing. The cost is brilliant too. Thanks you Phillys Baguettes

Ordered two crab sandwiches latte and a beer, £35. Staff need a pick me up or it’s been a hard season. The crab sandwich was good, spoonful of coleslaw, frozen chips. Was told to help myself to a glass for the beer, everyone looked not properly washed, picked the cleanest but still had bubbles down inside indicating grease. Latte was tasteless. Not a pleasant experience won’t be back.
