Little Snack Bar in Sheffield

I tried the one in Leeds; it's just opposite the university, which is really convenient for students. The environment is cosy. The food is Taiwanese Taiwanese, but not really my flavour; I'll say it is almost 90% like Taiwanese street food; give it a try, it won't disappoint you.

🧋This Taiwanese restaurant is actually the best in Sheffield. All of my friends love it, not only Taiwanese people but also students from everywhere in Sheffield. Tbh I've been here loads of times. Today, I went for the braised pork belly bento, came with shredded cabbage, carrot, and rice. Proper filling and healthy. We also tried the Spice Salt Chicken and sweet potato balls, which were really good and tasted exactly the same as food in Taiwan. And don't even get me started on their 3 Musketeers dessert, with pudding and grass jelly – unreal! My friend grabbed the winter melon lemon tea, and a sip of that was next level, proper authentic winter melon flavour. She got the braised pork loin bento and was delish too! No doubt about it, little snack bar is a must-visit! Personally, I'll be coming back whenever I'm feeling homesick.

This is such a gem of a place in Sheffield for Taiwanese food and bubble tea! I stopped by today to try their bento, street food and bubble tea; I had high hopes for all of it and I certainly wasn't disappointed! We started off with the braised pork belly bento, I had a hard time choosing which bento to go for but I couldn't resist the pork belly and I'm so glad I went for it. The pork belly had a really great depth of flavour and perfectly cooked without too much of the fat. The bento came with cabbage and (I believe) pickled cucumber and honestly I was surprised by how much I liked the pickled cucumber! It brought a brighter and tarter flavour to the saltiness of the pork so I'm really glad it was in there. Next I tried the Spice and Salt Garlic Chicken from the Street Food menu and this was definitely the star of the show! The chicken was so so crispy, the crunch when I bit in was amazing but the meat was so juicy and full of flavour! The green beans were a great addition and you get such a generous portion of chicken that I definitely didn't leave hungry. I'd 100% come back just for the chicken again and again. Finally I got a caramel milk tea which I went for with 50% sugar and it was just the right amount of sweet and creamy to offset the saltiness of the food. It didn't have any of the graininess that milk tea can have sometimes if not properly mixed and I could have probably drunk a whole gallon of that caramel milk tea today! I'd love to come back and try all of their bubble tea menu because honestly, picking a bubble tea flavour was the hardest part! All in all a great little spot to go for some yummy food and top notch bubble tea!

Delicious food and lovely little spot! 100% Recommend to anyone! I had the chicken katsu curry and it’s one of my favourite meals of any restaurant in Sheffield.

Afterall 🇹🇼Taiwanese restaurants are a rare find in Manchester and its surroundings! Feel so touched that we finally got here🥹. I appreciate the 😍thick-cut and tender beef that goes with the noodles! The proportion of beef to beef tendon is about 4:1 and it sounds really nice to me👏🏻. As usual we 😂spent some time taking photos before devouring everything, and the noodles still remained bouncy and elastic😳! The soup base is flavourful but a bit too sweet🤔. The addition of carrots and onions make it even sweeter🤣. Popcorn chicken is one of my favourite Taiwanese street food! The exterior is absolutely crispy and the portion is big. We opted for the garlic flavour but the taste does not stand out- would be nice if they could add some fried or fresh garlic🫡. The chicken is well-seasoned yet could be juicier🫡. The extensive drink menu can leave you wondering what to order for ages😱! The cheese float is not strong enough for me. The mango pomelo is pleasantly filled with 😍jelly and mango chunks. Having visited the Devonshire street branch twice we were advised of a second branch opening in Sheffield, unfortunately on the three occasions we travelled there for one reason or another it was closed, one time was refurbishing ( even though they’d just opened), 2nd was they close on the day we went contrary to their opening times advertised on IG/FB… the third time there was no reason, just closed and lights switched off, hadn’t been tidied from the night before a service…. Anyway, the Devonshire st branch…. Lots of great choice for bubble tea, highly recommend the lychee pomelo tea…. The fried chicken bites ( out of this world) great seasoning within the coating, you them can choose different toppings/spices… be adventurous and try them all… the menu isn’t huge but that’s what you should expect in a snack bar, still plenty of dishes to try so head down to Devonshire st and you won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely delicious curry and bubble tea! So many options to choose from, can't wait to go back and try more of their food and teas ☺️

We ordered some food for delivery. It was the first time we tried this place. We we're not disappointed. The food was really yummy and authentic. We had the meal deal for 2. You get a choice of bento and milk tea each which is great value. We will definitely be ordering from here again soon.

We ordered online, got it at the time it said we would and was absolutely yummy. So worth the price too. We had chicken katsu curry, fried chicken steak bento and a matched milk tea. Highly recommend.
