Fantastic location by the river, lots of parking near by. My friend and I came here for lunch. Karen (owner) greeted us with a smile and said we could sit where ever we liked. We order our lunch which was served promptly. Our sandwiches were presented well and were lovely and fresh. The cakes we order were also really nice. We will definitely visit again.

Our first visit here and we were not disappointed. A country style cafe, decor light and airy with a relaxed atmosphere set in beautiful surroundings. Seating available inside and outside. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. We had tuna and cheese jacket potato which was cooked to perfection. Generous on the fillings and side salad. My husband had the farmers platter with a home made sausage roll and crusty bread again absolutely delicious. We shared home made coffee and walnut cake, which had been freshly baked. Highly recommend this little gem of a place and we look forward to coming again.

AMAZING. Dog friendly, and then some! Every single member of staff made us feel so, incredibly welcome - even with EIGHT dogs in tow! The vintage afternoon teas were insanely good - the scones are delicious and the sandwiches were made of bread that tasted like it had only just come out the oven. We will most definitely be back. Thank you so, so much for such a wonderful and memorable visit, and for such a thoughtful little addition for the puppies - you’re all amazing!

So disappointed with the service and food we ordered - such a shame as such a wonderful setting. Although quite busy we waited over an hour for our food - so when it arrived we were quite hungry - we were quite agog when the food was presented to us. Flat toasties what should have been bacon, Brie and cranberry - non existent Brie a tiny piece of bacon and cranberry sauce. For an astonishing £11.50 - we expected fully loaded toasties which they were certainly NOT on inspection. The lovely server asked if we were enjoying our lunch and we told the server ABSOLUTLEY not. She agreed that they were substandard and gave a refund of one of the toasties. Such a shame on such a lovely setting, we will not be back.

Unfortunately I can not recommend The little Pickle. The food is so very disappointing - service over an hour. The food when it arrived was so very sub standard for the price they charge. Lovely setting , that’s the monopoly - for the over priced sub standard food is such a shame. Think you need a proper ‘chef’ to justify the prices of the food.

First time eating here. Staff really friendly and the food was amazing. Beautiful location and even though you are near a main road you wouldn't know it as it was so peaceful and quiet. Best bacon bap and milkshake I have had in a long time and my dog loved her pupachino. We will definitely be back again! 😀

Lovely tea and cake, sitting on the secluded riverside terrace having a catch up with a contact of mine. The chocolate cake was rich, as it should be, and I like the idiosyncratic tea sets that you are served with. Karen and Andrew are always friendly and generous hosts.

The most amazing secret location, we sat on the terrace right next to the river, Fabulous home cooked food, which looked & tasted delicious. Freshly made smoothies.Lots of menu choices & an array of cakes to choose from. The staff were welcoming & efficient - big shout out to Poppy. The chef (& owner?) not only cooked our food but delivered it & followed up afterwards to check we had enjoyed. 5 star 🌟 all round. Our only complaint…. we didn’t know about this hidden gem before! Will definitely be back & will be telling all our family & friends! ❤️

We hired the cafe for a wake for 25 people to have afternoon tea. The food was lovely with plenty to go round, the scones and sandwiches were all fresh using good quality ingredients. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and we would highly recommend the cafe to anyone. A big thank you…

Sadly an awful trip here today. The cafe was heaving and no seats, fair enough it’s good to be busy. The issue came when you wait around as you do for someone to be leaving only to be told each and every time they do the table is reserved. Wasn’t the only incoming peeps getting really hacked off with this, especially as it was raining outside and this is a snack/cake/hot drink cafe, not a restaurant. In the middle of moving house so came for a hot drink and to warm up and ended up freezing outside. To add insult to injury ordered and paid for cake with our hot drinks which didn’t come. Had to go inside to ask for it eventually when our drinks were finished and we were going! When mentioning all this to the staff member was snapped at rudely. Seriously unimpressed.

A friend and I popped in to have a hot drink and a chat at the Little Pickle after visiting Walford Mill. The hot chocolate was delicious- and a decent sized mug! We will definitely return and next time will have lunch as the food looked very appealing!

Had a lovely afternoon tea at Little Pickle, as one of my daughter’s hen ‘do’s’ - this one with family. The sandwiches and cakes were fresh and tasty, we had our tea pots replenished many times, we could have had more sandwiches if we wanted them, the scones were warm with plenty of jam and cream, and the staff were really lovely. Will definitely go back there soon. Thank you very much.

This cafe is fantastic. The location is so beautiful and chilled by the river and the lovely Walford Mill. Customer service is top notch, all the staff are friendly and attentive. The food is locally sourced and, whilst the menu is limited, all the dishes and cakes are delicious. The Boscombe M’s Bakery cruffin is to die for!

What a gem of a cafe! I have been with family, friends and dogs, for afternoon tea and lunch. We love the vegan food and drink options, which are plentiful and VERY tasty! The welcome from staff is always so warm and the cafe has a lovely ambience with clean tables and comfy seating. The service is attentive and quick but not rushed, and now that we have found this fantastic place we will return again, and again and are very willing to travel 20 minutes by car for the experience!

We’ve been going to The Little Pickle for several months now for lunch and flat white coffee. We order sandwiches which are freshly made or baked potato with toppings with a nice salad and served by very friendly staff. The building has a very high vaulted ceiling like a barn which must help stop any echoes and back ground noise which we find peaceful even when they are busy. When it’s warmer its nice to sit outside at the front or on the rear patio over looking the river and the good thing is there are no cars on this property so no car noise just nature and fresh air. Before or after your coffee/lunch you can always visit the crafts in the old Walford mill which is free to walk around.

Always delicious and the best place to eat in Wimborne. I treat myself to a visit once a week and enjoy a perfect oat milk flat white and a cheese and chutney sandwich on sourdough which is always divine. The atmosphere is so relaxing and the Little Pickle family so welcoming it is difficult to not come and enjoy the cafe every day. A perfect place for anyone that is a real foodie, enjoys good company in a truly beautiful setting.

I've been coming to Little Pickle since it opened and it never disappoints. I've had their lunches here (the vegan pastrami on sourdough is AMAZING) and the chai lattes are gorgeous. I am a veggie and dairy free and I'm pleased to always see loads of veggie and vegan options for all the food (including amazing cakes) and of course all the milk alternatives for their delicious coffees. Well worth a visit! and pop in to Walford Mill Crafts while you're there - loads of parking in the car park (paid) next door.

I have found staff to be very helpful with regard to dietary requirements and their fresh and healthy menu reinforces this so to see a review complaining about use of standard milk rather than the requested oat milk is surprising to say the least. Oat milk gives a completely different texture and test, obvious from the first sip and enough to instantly put me off. How nice to find somewhere that can serve good, fresh coffee without the long delay so often encountered elsewhere.

The Tea Room & Garden at the Museum of East Dorset (MED) in Wimborne Minster is a beautiful spot for light refreshments - both hot and cold. The Tea Room is connected to the beautiful garden of the museum and, thus, victors can, in the warm weather, be seated in the outside patio area to enjoy their drinks and snacks whilst experiencing the aesthetically glorious garden. The MED Tea Room also has a light inside dining area which has lovely views across the garden due to the big windows. The staff is comprised of volunteers who are friendly and welcoming; refreshments are ordered at the café and served to your table. The Tea Room and toilets are very clean and the menu includes a very reasonable charge for food and drink. The Tea Room and garden are accessible for all visitors and there is a disabled bathroom. The walled garden is a location for everyone (of all abilities and ages) to enjoy, play, relax and explore.

A lunch with a friend in Wimborne and Cloisters is always our first choice. I use a wheelchair and quickly on approaching the staff spotted me and access was no problem. You do have to book I was chuffed when the soup was Celeriac soup and the flavour was perfect with some crusty brown bread.
