Borigan keekiyet, mai supap. Aharn keekiyet, mai arroi. We went in at 2.30. Two of the staff were having lunch and were clearly put out that we had come in. No greeting or welcome. I said 'hello, how are you' in Thai but no response. At this point, we should have walked out as it was clear we were inconveniencing them. When the kitchen staff started sneezing as they prepared the food, we should have DEFINITELY left! The tom kha and spring rolls were actually good but the two mains were very lacklustre. The so-called pat kapow had no basil in it that I could see or taste. The satay tofu didn't taste remotely like satay - we couldn't taste even a hint of peanut in the tiny trickle of sauce. I know that in Thai culture, service and welcome are very important, and Thais are rightfully very proud of their cuisine. However, Little Mommy Thai offered sullen service and very half-hearted food.

Found this place as the one I usually go to (across the street) had a massive queue. Was going to give 4 stars but at the end staff was rather rude so at best would be 3 stars. I finished my meal and was just finishing my tea when one of the staff came and put the bill on the table. No prologue or whatever "cash or card?" It wasn't even busy or there was a queue that I had to clear the table ASAP. Even if it was busy they could be more subtle and polite when prompting customer(s) to leave. Food was fine nothing special, but not bad either. Won't be coming back with this kind of service.

This was a first visit as we were just passing by. The decor was eye catching and the lunch menu looked good. Ordered 2× starter + main for £10.95 ea. plus drinks. Pork dumplings were delicious but the fish cakes were salty and rubbery. Chicken Green Curry was ok. Good heat from the chilli. Beef Pad Nor Mai had no chilli heat. The beef was tough and inedible. When we complained to the male server he brought over some chilli flakes and didn't give us any other options. His manner was curt and rude. We told him to remove it from the bill. He then returned immediately with the bill and stood over us until we paid even though we hadn't finished our drinks. He shouldn't be front of house with his ignorance. We won't be returning.

I have tried this place during Covid when I think they newly opened and I had a good experience. I always go to myThai Merrion centre that is closer to where I live. I attempted to try this place again on my own tonight. Only one waiter and the manger/owner was behind the til looking at me and the waiter seemed to be in another world. I had a feeling it would take for ever taking my order never mind offering to even sit down!!! I was so hungry and extremely tired to stand more than about 10/15 min that I was there. Felt really awful and turned around and left. Just by the door on a small handwritten note it said (%10 OFF is pay in Cash)😨 totally got my answer about the place! Back to my usual place (myThai at Merrion centre) knew I was going to get sitted right away even if they are busy. Even kitchen staff go out of their way to welcome customers. They even knew what I like and how I like it. In fact I may tip the young waiter generously tonight as a thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 ขอบคุณสำหรับการบริการอันแสนดีของคุณ

Staff attentive and quick with service. Prices reasonable compared to other Thai places on the same road. Easy to understand menu. Tasty food - I got a pad Thai. Only thing I would say is that it was quite greasy, oil build up on plate. Never had a pad Thai like this, normally tastes light and fresh. Would probably go back for their lunch special deal - £11 ish pounds for a main and starter everyday until 4pm. Also if you pay in cash you get 10% off!

The portion size at Pad Thai is larger than some Thai restaurants, which is what is needed to satisfy an adult. The taste is close to what you would taste in Thailand, because I have tried it in many Thai restaurants and they all have different flavors. Pork trotter rice, the pork trotters are too overcooked and the meat is a bit woody. But in fact, everything you eat in Thailand has the same texture. Hainanese chicken rice, the rice portion is sufficient and tastes good. It’s always about the chicken breast. I personally find this part less tasty. Thai lemon tea is delicious, but the first sip is very sweet. It will be better if you wait for some ice cubes to dissolve slightly and dilute it. But Taicha is very sweet (it has already been called Shaotian). I wonder if he has forgotten Shaotian? Definitely or less sweet, it’s still so sweet🤔 As for the skewers, it was ordered by a friend, so I can’t comment. My friend ordered a curry rice. The curry was so salty that it was hard to eat. My friend asked me to try it. The saltiness was as if salt had been added to it repeatedly. Even my friends who usually eat strong food found it very salty. All in all, Pad Thai is more delicious, and the Thai lemon tea is OK. So there is no possibility of visiting again.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was poor, and the food was shockingly bad, just as another one-star review described. The Thai curries were watery and lacked coconut milk, which made them taste unappetizing, honestly smelt like baby sick as per the other one star review from another customer. We left both our meals after having one mouthful and the lady waitress insisted we had to pay in full which we did. This was genuinely the worst food I have ever had. Additionally, the black manager was very rude, shouting at an elderly woman near our table. This is my honest experience, and I would not recommend this place. AVOID.

Service - As always, staff were friendly and attentive. No complaints. Atmosphere - Great atmosphere, far prefer this spot to the larger Mommy Thai on Boar Lane. Much less hectic but still captures the enjoyable hustle and bustle of a cramped and cozy eatery, and the chairs are far more suitable here. Food - It's difficult to talk about Thai food in Leeds and not compare to Thai A Roy Dee, of which it would be difficult to compare the two. There are some crossover in dishes however largely the menu is quite different, with Mommy Thai offering more options in the way of noodle soups. It is however worth noting, of the few crossover dishes featured in both restaurants which I have tried (pad ka pao, rat na and pad kee mao) the crown would undoubtedly fall to Thai A Roy Dee. Khao Soi - Simply very delicious. The broth is rich and creamy and intensely aromatic. The flavour of the curry paste sings in this dish. Incredibly moreish, I could eat 4 bowls of this and sleep a 4 day coma after. Must try! Rat Na - As stated above, comparing this with the Thai A Roy Dee version is night and day. Where Thai A Roy Dee serves up a truly authentic offering with soft velvety pork slices, tender vegetables and well balanced umami sauce drenched over perfectly fried rice noodles, not swimming in oil. The Rat Na at Mommy Thai falls short, tough pieces of chicken with watery mushrooms and overcooked vegetables, in a sauce that is near black and tastes purely of soy sauce atop a very small portion of oily noodles. Not my favourite. Pad Ka Pao Moo Grob (crispy pork belly) - Again, its missing something. Tasting really only of soy sauce again and close to black, indicative of far too much dark soy. The pork belly didn't retain its crunch and was unfortunately quite tough. The dish contained unnecessary pieces of onion, carrot and other veg. Typically this wouldn't feature in an authentic PKP and I have to assume it's included to bulk out the dish and scrimp on pork. A financial issue I won't criticise although it did impact my enjoyment of the dish. Price - More expensive than Thai A Roy Dee and totally not worth it. You're paying approx £4 more for dishes at Mommy Thai which are cheaper and far tastier at Thai A Roy Dee. This is not a negative review and Mommy Thai offers some seriously tasty dishes if you know what to order. I would stick to their noodle dishes, specifically noodle soups which is there total strength.

This was one of our go to Thai restaurants when we come into Leeds but tonight it was a big let down. The Pad See Aew was meant to come with flat noodles but came with regular egg noodles, the chicken was bland and the veg was rock hard, not even slightly cooked. The Pad Kee Mow lacked any flavour apart from having a kick from the spice. Neither of us finished the food as it just wasn't very pleasant. The spring rolls were good and the prawn crackers. The bill came, even though we didn't ask for it, and the waitress clearly wanted us out as she wanted to merge our table with another to seat a group. She made it obvious she wanted us to finish our drinks and leave, which made us uncomfortable. The food quality and the overall experience was not great which is such a shame as this used to be a great place for food.

I visited Mommy Thai for the first time today and was very impressed with the food. I ordered the large set menu, which was a great value for money. The dishes were all delicious and authentic, and the portions were generous. The only downside was the service, which was a bit forgetful. The waiter forgot to bring us our waters when we first ordered, and when we reminded him, it took a long time for them to arrive. I think the restaurant could have done with another member of staff, as it was quite busy and the waiter seemed to be struggling to keep track of everything. Overall, I had a good experience at Mommy Thai and would definitely recommend it to others. The food is delicious and the value for money is excellent. Just be aware that the service can be a bit forgetful at busy times.

Absolutely shocking! RUDE, SCAMMERS, serving BABYSICK FOOD, throwing VERBAL HOSTILE AGGRESSION! felt UNSAFE!!! Had to wait forever before being seated despite there being available tables because male waiter ignored us and tried to pretend we hadn't walked into the restaurant. Male waiter finally had to acknowledged us and gave us a table at the back of the restaurant right next to the kitchen where kitchen staff are emptying plates into a smelly bin and waiters are walking by with plates of hot food and other patrons constantly passing by to get to the toilets. Understandably because of this reason I requested if it was possible to get a different table by pushing two empty single tables together for our group. Male waiter refused and told us it was tables reserved for couples and single diners only. We seated ourselves and less than 5 mins later, another group comes and the male waiter pushed the two reserved single tables for them. After this point, the male waiter ignored our table completely and averted his glaze towards us whenever he walked passed us. After waiting a while because the male waiter ignored us, a female waitress with attitude comes out and rudely barks and demands our order by yelling "WHAT YOU WANT" and "OKAY NEXT!" at us like we were an inconvenience to them. She made our drinks order very watery with lots of ice and overly sweet with no coffee taste in the Iced coffee. When our food came, I ordered the fishcakes which was really good but unfortunately the sweetcorn cakes were soggy and oily tasting, and our mains the Kow Soi and the Tom Kha had no flavour and was bland like they didn't use enough coconut milk. And instead it had hints of Babysick taste to it, almost like they used out of date milk. Which probably explains why it didn't have the amazing coconut milky taste it use to have. During our efforts of trying to stomach the food, the group who had the tables pushed together for them, had complained they'd received the wrong food order, what happened next was completely shocking and unbelievable. The male waiter snatched the plate of food from the patron's table and slammed it onto the kitchen window and proceeded to shout verbal aggression at the kitchen staff, and the female waitress even joined in shouting at them. Even though we didn't understand what they were saying, the verbal tone and aggression in their voices made the entire restaurant go quiet, and the atmosphere became very uncomfortable and felt hostile. Afterwards the kitchen staff can be heard throwing plates and clanking metal pots, which understandably they were irritated by the waiting staff's attitude and horrible treatment towards them. Because of this uncomfortable altercation that's happened, adding to the already weird babysick tasting food, we couldn't stomach anymore of it and just wanted to leave. I had to really wave like a monkey at the male waiter to really grab his attention with a few "excuse me" before he finally acknowledged us. I requested if we could get a doggy bag or containers because despite the weird tasting food, my friends doesn't like wasting food. The male waiter told us they had to charge us 50p per container, I was really shocked to hear this, because I've never ever heard of anywhere charging people to take their leftovers away... He explained to me that because its happy hour and its to stop people from coming in during happy hour and ordering food just to take it away? I didn't understand the logic??? and besides you can clearly see and use your discretion to tell that we're not coming in just to order food and taking it away, we've already sat down for a while and ate quite a bit of our food.... I felt like this was a blatant scam, just an excuse to money grab as much money as they could. Afterwards we had to again wait forever for the bill as the waiter ignored us. and when we finally paid, and we were trying to finish our drinks off, the waiter tried rushing us out because he needed our table for other patrons... yet they were only there for a few seconds.. unbelievable... laughable!

Best Thai street food in Leeds in my opinion. It's cheap (lunch: starter and main from £7.95), tasty and fresh. There is not a lot of space inside, just few tables and few outside. We would like to eat inside so had to wait just 5 mins. Interior design is simply, exactly like street food kitchens in Thailand. Young lad served all the tables on very busy Saturday afternoon with good attitude and smile on his face. This place offers variety of Thai beer, cocktails and original, amazing food.

If you are big fun of asian food, at least you can give a chance otherwise it wouldn't be good choice.

Me and my friend came here on Saturday and I had Pad Thai with veg, amazing food! Relaxing and vibrant atmosphere. I didn't catch the name of the guy that served us, but he was lovely and chatty. Can't wait to visit again!

Good location, good selection with good price. The restaurant is not big, however, it favours their staff - so they can make sure they are taking good care of all their customers!! The decor is cool! Friendly staff, cosy and interesting vibe in the restaurant. The staff have also introduced their fresh lemon to me - they are really growing the thing and taking care of their little lemon tree lol. Their foods are of great variety and vegan options are available as well. Their foods are tasty, delicious and satisfying with big portion!

One of the greatest thai restaurant. Place itself was a bit small but thai curry and stir fried dish was delicious. Great price and fast service.

Nice environment actually feels like your in Bangkok not some commercial restaurant in England. Afternoon deals were cheap and lots of vegan and veggie options. I had the green curry with tofu 😋 Only thing they could do with getting some wifi*

A really great traditional Thai cafe, great prices, and fantastic food that some of the bigger Thai restaurants have lost.

Feedback from multiple visits over a number of months, with repeated pattern : Good food (at the price), but poor service. Wrong order taking, staff ingrossed chattering amongst themselves instead of being attentive to customers, tables left unclean until next customer arrives.

Food is not very good here at all especially for the price point, the prices are all wrong, the sirloin steak is 1cm thick and comes out like a piece of frying steak really lethargic non of the fat cooked and pale in colour as the grill isn’t hot enough, starter felt a bit mix match deep fried black pudding with pancetta and the most boring side salad iv ever seen, the pancetta was tasteless maybe use guanciali or season the dish!, it just felt to me that the chef was very inexperienced and he’s tried putting a great sounding menu together and charging top dollar for the dishes when he can’t cook them or present them properly, the salad here is the same as mixed bag salad at Asda with a few cherry tomatoes you can’t serve this in a pub like that! The menu and chefs need work to take this place to where it deserves to be or the place will lose popularity very very quickly and I’m in this game I know, hopefully management will look into this as customers are noticing your not up to scratch but your prices are???!!!!

Brilliant date night! We arrived early to catch the last of the sunshine on the balcony with 241 cocktails. We then moved inside and enjoyed amazing food served by the fabulous Nellie. We highly recommend the chateaubriand and the new Malbec wine we were encouraged to try was beautiful. Nellie went above and beyond to make our night the best and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks Nellie and the rest of the team, we’ll be back soon

I was waiting at the bar for about 20 minutes waiting for this bartender to serve me. After 15 she severed my friend and took 10 minutes to make her two simple cocktails. Then she proceeded to server her friends before me and eventually when it came to serving me she refused to serve me my cocktails because it was last orders. What absulter BS never coming back and never recommending this place get new workers who will actually do their job.

Best fish and chips in Leeds. Portions sizes are huge. You will not be hungry after eating their F & Cs.

A brilliant venue for a wedding do, food was amazing Staff are excellent, very great service Friendly Cater for every occasion I could not stress enough how accommodating the owners were, before my wedding ( pre wedding jitters) And how beautiful the barn looked when we got there for the do. Entertainment amazing They had us in stitches, joined in the celebrations They make you feel like you have known them all your life. Could not have had the whole evening better than it was, they made a special day a whole lot more special Thank-you to Zoe and Jon.
