Food is not very good here at all especially for the price point, the prices are all wrong, the sirloin steak is 1cm thick and comes out like a piece of frying steak really lethargic non of the fat cooked and pale in colour as the grill isn’t hot enough, starter felt a bit mix match deep fried black pudding with pancetta and the most boring side salad iv ever seen, the pancetta was tasteless maybe use guanciali or season the dish!, it just felt to me that the chef was very inexperienced and he’s tried putting a great sounding menu together and charging top dollar for the dishes when he can’t cook them or present them properly, the salad here is the same as mixed bag salad at Asda with a few cherry tomatoes you can’t serve this in a pub like that! The menu and chefs need work to take this place to where it deserves to be or the place will lose popularity very very quickly and I’m in this game I know, hopefully management will look into this as customers are noticing your not up to scratch but your prices are???!!!!

Pub was packed for Friday lunch. Great Pub Grub. Usual fayre but well done. Couple of pie choices, genuine shortcrust Meat and potato pie, suet braised beef and a game pie that is a flaky pastry topped in a casserole dish, not my favourite kind of pie but the contents were tasty, best chips I've had anywhere bar none. Good range of beers, adnams lighthouse amongst them. Large portions, you'll leave not needing to eat for the rest of the day. Caitlin, Guy & Joseph are some of the hard working staff looking after you, and do it very well, they are pleasant, friendly and attentive. You couldn't ask for better!

Large pub on the semi rural outskirts of Pudsey. The car park has a rough surface on a gradient. Parking is available on the roadside, but the road is not very wide. However it's a good pub inside, with a nice atmosphere. The restaurant menu has a good selection to suit most tastes, and the food quality is good. There is a good selection of beer at the bar. The pub has steps up to the main entrance and a small step into the restaurant area.

Reserved a table physically by going into the pub the day before for my family and I for the following day . Turned up on time with my wife and two children the following day and the staff said there was no reservation for me , despite my family and I being regular patrons since the establishment opened . There were empty tables , yet the staff said we could sit at the bar on stools and eat there , my daughter is only six years old , hence sitting at the bar was inappropriate . I asked to speak with the owner and the staff said he doesn’t deal with customers . Absolutely disgraceful , the staff even recognized that we were loyal , good and frequent patrons of the establishment , and my family and I had to leave … very hungry . We won’t be visiting again , and Pudsey being a small community , I will certainly spread the word of my disgust and incompetence with this establishment having been treated like this with my family . Disgraceful

It was good to find a pub that actually serves homecooked food. I had the meat & potato pie, which was gorgeous and full of meat. My partner had the homemade fish pie, which really enjoyed. It was a little bit cramped in the part of the pub where you can sit with dogs, especially when there were people sat at tables that didn't have dogs. There were a couple of mums in with there children who parked them on one table and went and sat at a different one. It would be a great place to sit outside when the weather is warmer. We would go back again.

(Although the food we DID see coming out looked fantastic.) Edited to add: since been here for Sunday lunch and probably a 7/10? Vegetables a bit sad, but Yorkshires and meat spot on. Please don't serve gravy over the Yorkshires though without asking if you're reading this, Bankhouse! 🙏

My first time trying the Bankhouse since it reopened! Beautiful views, really fresh food and lovely drinks + friendly people behind the bar and out n about in the restaurant/beer garden. This is probably one of the best beer gardens in the Pudsey area - the sounds of birds are so enjoyable as you look out onto the valley. For a non alcoholic summer drink I recommend the blackberry spritz - very sweet and refreshing without being too tangy. The club sandwich was DIVINE and the chefs hadn't scrimped on fillings. The meat was trusting and the salad leaves, cucumber and peppers were fresh and crunchy. The chips were the same vibe too! The portion size was nice and filling after a walk. It has always been a perfect location for a post stroll bite to eat but very enjoyable. You can expect to pay around £12.95 for dishes like sandwiches but the other pub classics are a bit more, you're looking at around 17/18 quid :)

I have been to the Bankhouse on 3 x occasions over the last 2 weeks, and had a variety of meals on the menu. The Roast Dinner is personally my favourite. They are also very clued up on allergens too, which was great. I felt very safe to eat here. Lovely little pub hidden in Pudsey. We ordered the chicken kiev with chips, giant Yorkshire pudding with roast chicken and veg and the sausage and mash. As a couple we visited at 1.45pm on a Saturday for a pint, coffee and sandwich. We were informed we could have a drink sitting at the bar but there were no tables and no timescale for one coming free. There were at least 2 waiters standing doing nowt so they weren't run off their feet and if we could sit down at the bar with drinks we could have been served a sandwich. Despite several attempts to change their mind we had a robotic refusal. Had been many times over the years but WILL NEVER GO AGAIN

Booked a table for 9 people. We were told on the phone the table is only for 2 hours which was fine but we were also told 3 more times whilst we were there! The food was mediocre at best, decent portions but not great, the steak wasn't seasoned and was well done even though I'd asked for it cooked medium, the veg was also over cooked. 3 people ordered the barnsley chop and none of them enjoyed it, my aunt told the staff hers was really fatty and she couldn’t even cut through it and he just said, "they're supplied locally so are all different." No apology or anything. We wouldn't return for food which is a shame as it's so local, Definitely expected better.

A Doggone Disappointment at the Bankhouse Inn I'm all for quaint local spots with quirky rules, but the Bankhouse Inn takes the cake... and then doesn't let you eat it where you want! We called ahead to check if our furry friend could join us, and the response was a tail-wagging yes, along with a mention of a special dog-friendly area. However, upon our arrival, it was like playing musical chairs with a twist - only three specific tables were deemed worthy of their food. The catch? Those tables were like rare artifacts – visible but not available, as they were occupied by patrons who seemed to have signed an oath to only drink. After a 20-minute wait (which in dog years felt like a century), our cider finally arrived. But our efforts to flag down a waitress for food felt like trying to catch a frisbee with no arms. When we finally got a waitress to our table, she spun a yarn about "establishment rules" that would make a bureaucrat dizzy. Only those three mystical tables could partake in their culinary delights. The reason? As clear as a foggy day in London. They could've seated us in the non-dog section (sans our four-legged companion), but apparently, the kitchen's capacity to serve food doesn't extend beyond those three chosen tables. My wife, a previous patron and a self-proclaimed fan, had sung praises of this place. Today, however, I'm left feeling like we stumbled into a scene from "The League of Gentlemen" – a local pub for local people, and clearly, we weren't local enough. Our dog, equally unimpressed, rates it 2 paws down. Would not recommend, unless you enjoy a side of perplexing policies with your drink. 🐕🚫🍽️
