I recently booked a cooking class for a team-building event and had a highly disappointing experience. Here are the main issues we encountered: 1. Unexpected Booking Fee: At the end of the booking process, we were surprised with an additional appx 10% per person booking fee. This fee was not communicated when we originally requested a quotation, which felt deceptive and unprofessional. 2. Excessive Heat: The kitchen was unbearably hot, with inadequate ventilation to provide any relief. This made the experience uncomfortable for everyone involved. 3. Poor Kitchen Hood: The kitchen hood was extremely poor. When dishes were burning, the smoke filled the room, creating a fog-like environment. This is a significant safety hazard. 4. Incomplete Menu: According to the menu, we were supposed to cook three dishes. However, we only ended up cooking two. When I asked why, I was told it was due to time constraints. This explanation does not hold up for several reasons: o We finished approximately an hour early, completing the class in 2 hours instead of the allotted 3 hours, despite working very slowly. o We paid to cook the advertised dishes, not for a specific duration of time. It is the kitchen's responsibility to manage the class effectively to ensure all dishes are prepared.

Me and my friend took the Bread Masterclass and absolutely loved it. Sarah the teacher was lovely and explained things so well. It makes miles of difference having the ingredients already weighed out for you so you can get stuck straight in. The 3 breads we made required different techniques so we learned a lot, and it was really accessible for those new to breadmaking. Would thoroughly recommend! And shout out to Ash for doing the washing up and all the behind the scenes prep!

Been to two courses now; Pasta making and macarons. Both were excellently taught, step-by-step in a beautiful setting. Would absolutely recommend as a fun date or just as a way to learn a new cooking skill.

I was given the pasta making class as a gift and wasn't too sure whether I'd enjoy it but it was so laid back, fun and informative! We really enjoyed it aswell as the delicious meal we had created. I've since bought myself a pasta machine

Couldn’t recommend this place more! I booked this for a work social and we did the Thai cooking course. Not only did everyone enjoy it, but everyone also managed to cool some lovely dishes! Louise was our lead chef, she was truly amazing and Ash was an absolute wizard running around behind us keeping us organised. The class was fun, well ran and the food was just delicious. Keen on trying some of their other classes for sure!

Did the little Italy session and made delicious Agnolotti pasta stuffed with spinach & ricotta served with a sage butter sauce & fresh parmesan - made a Tiramisù too. Small group, friendly and relaxed, highly recommended.

My daughter and I have just returned from a fantastic Sushi making lesson at Little Kitchen. We both had so much fun and we learnt so much in just 1.5 hours! We can't wait to try another course at Little Kitchen.

Great day Great value agreat fun . Shame on Bristol council. Small business working hard and Bristol council charge £9 for driving 5 mins through clean zone to get there . If I change my car I can't then afford go to such events. Yes environment vital but support your local businesses . This charge cannot help small business like this

I loved my baking course here. As someone who bakes regularly at home, I knew the recipes I loved but there were definitely things I was scared to try, especially with bake off failures in my mind. The instructor took us through different recipes which used different techniques, explaining what each was for and how to get best results. I learnt so much more about baking and the results were delicious. I want to go back and try the couples cooking courses next 😊

I did the Scotch egg class today with my other half for his birthday and really we loved it! It was very laid back and the method we used made it easy to replicate at home. Rob also gave us some ideas for other flavours, which I'm definitely going to attempt sometime! And of course we got to eat our eggs in the session (and take a couple home with us!). Would thoroughly recommend :-)

This afternoon's Tapas cooking session was very well planned and executed. Ceri was an encouraging and welcoming host. For each menu item we were given a clear demonstration of the method and then supported as we did it ourselves with all ingredients provided. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed. Would definitely recommend it to friends - we will be back again.

Such a great evening was had at Little Kitchen, we did the Italian workshop and not only did we learn how to make pasta (something I’ve always wanted to try) we also got to make tiramisu and finally sat down at the end and got to enjoy eating it. A very different but great way of eating out, can’t wait to try more of the classes they have on offer/ cook and eat different cuisines. The tutor was very knowledgeable and helpful, the kitchen space was clean and well organised and the other staff who worked there were very professional and friendly. Was nice meeting a few of the other class members too. Glad to say I’ve also made pasta a few times at home since doing this class.

Finally got round to using our gift voucher and had an amazing afternoon learning how to make Thai! Our teacher was knowledgeable and friendly, the space is beautiful to learn in and the food was delicious. We've already saved so much money by not ordering Thai takeaways every week 😹 thanks so much!

Loved our afternoon at Little Kitchen - and enjoyed the huuge supply of doughnuts and focaccia we got to take home at the end too! Really lovely, airy cookery school, with super friendly and expert tutors. Ceri made our lesson really fun and lighthearted yet super professional - everything behind the scenes was prepped so well, it felt like a doddle for us so could really relax and enjoy. Would definitely recommend as a present, or a group activity.

Just did the chicken 4 ways. Absolutely amazing. Will be trying all the recipes and methods in the future. Dot who led the class was lovely and helpful answering all the questions I had. Would definitely go again and looking into other classes already. The chicken escalope was especially good. None of it made it home, ate it straight away.

I've attended two courses here now, one pre and one post covid. Little Kitchen have done a brilliant job at bringing in covid safety measures without losing the lovely atmosphere of their classes - well done Little Kitchen! The tutors are so knowledgeable about everything food, it's great to learn the technical aspects behind what you're doing as well as getting practical tips. Looking forward to coming back soon I hope!

Used to be our favourite place to go for a quiet drink and to play ping pong for a few years. It used to be free with a drink but now it's £2.50 each without a gym membership. That would be fine but that money isn't being used to maintain anything. The bats are unusable and we had to stop playing: rubber peeling off and bats chipped on every single one. We werent offered a refund. Also, our glasses were filthy and covered in coffee (I hope). Didn't notice that until I was almost finished.

Food is great, I don't enjoy the feeling of constantly being rushed here. It's not our fault your place is too small to host the number of covers you need to turn a profit. Booked 2 weeks in advance and the waitress initially made us feel like a nuisance. Will return, but not in a hurry. Too cramped and noisy by virtue of being very popular (which is great) and small. Hope they upgrade to a bigger building soon. Plenty of empty ones nearby.
