Little India in Forest Heath

Took family to Little India for celebration birthday me. Very polite and friendly staff. The food was out of this world, have to say the only Indian restaurant I will use again. Great value for money. Highly recommend to everyone.

Sadly this restaurant has gone downhill in my opinion..We visit regularly, and lately the portion size is drastically reduced and chicken appears to be pre cooked and just put in sauce.The dry chicken tikka the other night was like rock..So sad..get your act together guys!!!

3 years ago we tried a take away and back then we thought it was awful. However tonights just topped it. 2 hour wait after told 40 mins. To then eat my food and a bone was in my lamb curry and another piece tasted terrible. I actually felt so sick and ill i just couldnt eat it. Can i stress this restaurant isnt attached to the mildenhall one thank goodness as thats a lovely restaurant we just sadly live to far away from mildenhall for a delivery. Please dont eat here we will never buy from here again,worse Indian ever.

Fantastic attentive staff....wonderful food ....a must visit .....fantastic venue ....brilliant value for money ....Best Indian food in the area....please use ....a privilege to have on our doorstep.

We have had a few meals here over the past year, and the food is consistently excellent. The service professional with just the right amount of attention at table. Definitely the best Indian restaurant in the area. Highly recommended.

Takeaway delivered but had a strange smell like it was off. Called to ask for another to be delivered but they advised they wouldn’t. However, we could get a free curry next time…Very presumptuous. It’s a shame as on the whole I’ve always enjoyed the food but with that customer service I won’t be returning.

Had a nice meal at the Little India. Curries tasted fresh and you could tell that all of the sauces were homemade. Staff friendly and helpful. I had one of the best dishes North Indian garlic chilli chicken will be back soon Highly recommended

I have never been disappointed, staff are polite and courteous, food is perfect every time. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and look forward to eating there again.

Ordered a takeaway and was told to collect it 45 minutes later. I arrived to collect as agreed, after another 45 mins wait the food finally arrived and I noticed some of it was cold , it was collected from a food warmer and not from the kitchen as I didn't see it go in there, since I arrived. The member of staff took the cold bag back into the kitchen. Then became rude emptying the food from the other bags and getting other customers to check if my food was hot! Asking them to touch the containers ..... so much for their hygiene. I am very disappointed in their attitude tonight, the food was not up to their usual standard and the service patronising and rude. And yes the food was not that hot !

Decided to try little India tonight after reading reviews. Not a lot to say other than very average. Normally use Brandon Tandoori but after having some very average food thought would try somewhere different. Chicken tikka masala was over sweet and not much chicken. Lamb madras was lacking any flavour and something was watery as was left on plate once finished. Not sure if take out is different from eating inside but hey it shouldn’t be.

We don’t normally order Indian for takeaway as we are not fans and would prefer to eat in, but I needed something to try get rid of a cold I’ve had for over a week. I’ve got to say it’s by far the tastiest chicken madras I’ve had, the heat was perfect. Not too spicy that you can’t taste anything but enough to give you a kick. The other half had a biryani and she loved that too. Will definitely be trying out the restaurant very soon.

First time visiting and all I can say is wonderful. Food was fantastic service was beyond brilliant. Will definitely be going back soon

Chicken bhuna, is my goto dish. Excellent taste and texture as usual. Only takeaway or delivery at the moment, waiting for the restaurant to reopen.

Bearing in mind the restrictions on eating out at the moment, I have had two meals from here in the last two weeks, and expect to have another this weekend. I find the food to be very good, nice and hot, with good flavours. Delivery is usually very good time wise, but in very busy periods can be delayed a bit. But worth waiting for.

Only our 2nd takeaway delivery from Little India. First one was first class. This most recent one however was a little disappointing. Firstly it was 30 minutes late being delivered but more importantly the foil trays in the bag had all been squashed together causing them to leak not just in the bag but also over our kitchen worktop surfaces when removed from the soaking bag. Not happy with condition of trays on delivery. Food however (chicken vindaloo with spring rice) was delicious. Come on guys,your food is great. Improve on the delivery experience and you have a great combination.

We had two take away deliveries both have been amazing. The food was delivered quickly and tasted superb. The tastiest Indian meal we have had and that includes the restaurants we have visited. I would recommend Little India to anyone who likes to eat excellent quality Indian food.

Well actually the title says it all. Ordered a takeout at 4.45 & was told to expect it by 6.00. We had to call at 6.15 as no delivery, food arrived 15 minutes later. When we plated it up it was cold and had to microwave everything, called to complain and was offered 20% discount on our next order. Really....Sorry guys just not good enough.

Ordered a takeaway. They said 45 minutes. Went down to pick it up and nearly two hours later we finally got it! Also 3 other people waiting been told 45 minutes and still waiting! Not happy customers 😡😡

Visited Little Indian on many occasions and never let down. Friendly staff and great food. I Highly recommend Tuesday and Wednesday buffet nights - is great value!

Family oriented restaurant with really good food, friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area or even order in if you prefer. Highly recommend this restaurant

Really can not recommend Little India more highly if you are looking for a tasty good quality takeaway in and around Lakenheath. The food always tastes incredible and arrives piping hot every time. On the occasions that we collect the service is consistently excellent. On two occasions we had to wait slightly longer than expected but this was only a few minutes and the team gave us a bottle of wine on the house to apologise. In short, don’t miss out, the food is so delicious and their service is great!

We ordered a take away on line and paid easily enough. Went to collect told another 10 - 15 minutes. Waited in car outside as only allowed two in at once..... Waited.... Waited... Waited.. After 30 minutes went back in couldn't find my ticket on counter... Name... Address.... What did you order?? Hang on..... checked out the back it's now being packed.. Got home lamb korma instead of lamb korai.... Husband not very happy. Other than the long wait and wrong item it was really nice. Will try again soon to see if they can get it right.

This was BY FAR the BEST Indian food we have had in a long time. We ordered chicken korma, veggie balti, chilli and cheese naan, mushroom bhaji, onion bhaji and a few other generic accompaniments. Everything was absolutely delicious. My partner said that his korma tasted homemade (unlike most Indian takeaways, where you can tell that the sauces are just ordered in bulk, no matter which kind of curry you order). He actually said it was the best korma he has ever had. My balti was 100% the best curry I've ever ordered from an Indian takeaway, it was incredibly flavourful. As a vegetarian, takeaway curries usually consist of bulk ordered sauce with some frozen veg thrown in, which make them all terribly bland, but this balti was absolutely out of this world.Honestly, we were both blown away by how good this meal was!

We live in Red Lodge have struggled to find a decent Indian takeaway that delivers to us, until now. Ordered online and paid by card which is great for us as we never have cash. Delivery took about an hour and 15 mins, but we expected that so wasn’t a problem. Chicken tikka masala was delicious. Chicken madras also very nice, nice kick to it, just a tad too much oil floating around for my liking. Rice good, onion bhajis good, garlic naan good. I wasn’t overly keen on the meat samosas, nothing wrong with them as such, just down to personal taste I think (I like mine quite meaty with a bit of spice, whereas these were quite mushy in texture with lumps of carrot or some kind of veg, and not much taste). Slightly disappointed no complimentary poppadoms included, given we had spent £40+. Overall we were very happy to have finally found somewhere we can claim as our ‘usual’! Thank you :)

I had chicken tikka pathia and it was amazing. I would recommend 100%. Went with friends and they had really good customer service aswell.

Lovely naans and delicious Indian dishes. My favourite is the mixed tandoori grill. It has a great mix of different meats and they are marinated and cooked to perfection. Yum!

Best Indian restaurant for dining amazing meal we had tonight didn’t book a table but they fitted us in and food was amazing the stuff are so helpful. It is best Indian we have had Thanks for Everything we will coming back soon.

I went to Little India to enjoy an evening out with my Parents. We were booked in at 7 but arrived at 6.50pm. We were seated in the waiting area for a few minutes then shown to our table. The restaurant only had a few tables occupied at this point. We waited 15-20 minutes before being asked if we would like drinks. The order was taken with request for poppadums too, the drinks arrived 15 minutes later and the poppadums a further 10-15 minutes after. These weren’t particularly fresh, in fact they tasted stale. Having eaten the poppadums at a leisurely pace, we waited to be asked what we would like for our main course, at approx 7.45 my Dad went to the front of the restaurant and asked them if they were going to take our order. He was abruptly told ok, 5 minutes after they came and took our order. The restaurant was still fairly quiet. A group of 4 girls had been seated near us and were getting little attention in being offered drinks etc either. By 8.20-8.30 we finally got our main course. The temperature of my mums meal wasn’t particularly hot. We finished our meal and started chatting to the girls, who still hadnt received their starters, they had been seated an hour + at this point. About 9.10 my dad went and asked for our bill. 10-15 minutes later it arrived, the girls still had no food. We had the bill less than a few minutes and then the staff start to show attention, they want their money!! We spoke with the girls some more making light of the situation, when in reality the service was extremely poor. It would appear their priorities were taking take away orders, not clients dining in!! I certainly won’t be recommending them or, rushing back any time soon. I’d rather travel into a neighbouring village or into Bury St Edmunds for the night. I hope the girls finally got their food, but I expect they were rushed out of the door at closing, as I understand that’s another trait they have.

This has been our go to for curry for the last year, and over the recent months i can only say it has gone down hill. I’m sorry to say that the food we actually had delivered tonight, ( some items were missing ) was cold, tasteless and, quite frankly, inedible. We are very disappointed, and will not be ordering from here again.

We had a huge lunch time meal with friends, and this was an outstanding choice of venue. The hand painted figures on the walls give the place character, but it is the food that is the most amazing. We had a wide assortment of dishes, and my wife really found the mixed tandoori wonderful. I had a prawn korma which was creamy and not too sweet. The sides and starters were generous and a meal could have been pieced together from those alone. The staff were courteous and attentive without being invasive in what was a friends' get together. It was so good, we ordered take away from here a week later.

Booked a table a little India for a birthday treat for wife. Have to say the food is out this world. The best indian I've ever had.The service was amazing, they are so polite. Would highly recommend you go to little India lakenheath. All I can say is amazing place.

I fancied a change from the usual tikka masala, so I had a chicken buhna (excuse the spelling). I found it to be hot/spicy enough for my taste, with out being overpowering in anyway with sufficient liquid to melt into the rice to make a very enjoyable meal.

I have eaten here a few times and found the food always good. Suprisingly quiet even at weekends. I dont live in Lakenheath but have friends there and often pass by. Prices are reasonable and menu is good. Traditional style Indian cuisine no frills decor like in many modern Indian resuarants. Only problem was they short changed me of about £10 on the bill. I will give them the benefit of the doubt but sheepishly gave me the money back. Fortunately I knew how the £20 notes I gave them looked as they had been folded together. Anyway as I said check your change!

Amazing food amazing price. Especially on Tuesday and Wednesdays banquet nights. You need to book a table if you want to go on a Wednesday and Thursday. They now do a loyalty card scheme , go there twice and the third time that I get a free started. And then go 5 times and you get a free main. Really lovely staff, can't do enough to help.

Given it was a Saturday evening and arrangements were made to go out to celebrate a friends birthday myself and my friends decided to order a curry from Taste India before heading out.

I have now eaten here some 5 or 6 times. Friendly staff, polite and nothing is to much trouble. The quality of the food is second to none. It is always hot, clean and of good quality. Would recommend to anyone.

Went here based on the trip advisor rating when visiting lakenheath and both the service and the food were incredible. One of the best curries I've had in a longggggg time!!

I highly recommend the Jeera chicken or lamb. Comfortable and modern ambiance with Cobra beer on tap.

Ordered at 5pm, got the food at 6pm. Took an hour to cook and arrive from the restaurant which is only a 5 minute drive away in Lords Walk. When I put it on plates the rice was stone cold and the lamb dhansak and tikka masala I had ordered was barely warm, I had to microwave it.

Came in for a family meal and as ever we were not disappointed! We got a warm welcome and quickly seated. Our orders taken and the food comes out deliciously hot and tasted wonderful! We couldn't manage to eat all the food (we had the banquet) and took lots home. We were treated like a member of the family and when it come to leaving we were thanked and the door opened for us. The dining experience was second to none and we can't wait to be back. Top service and too food.

Delicious curries every time we go (which is quite often!) Consistently good food which is tasty and full of flavour. Not greasy like many Indian restaurants, great service and friendly staff.

This was our first visit to the Little India restaurant, while on a business trip to the Lakenheath area. We ate here on a Tuesday, which allowed us to take advantage of a 4-Course meal for ~£14. We had Chicken Tikka Marsala, a spicy lamb dish, Samosas, Rhita, The salmon in a sauce and Naan. All of it was VERY tasty...and it was a lot of food for the price. Our only complaint was several items weren’t very hot (temperature wise). If it wasn’t for that, I would probably give them 5-stars.

So much choice! We all had different dishes to try as many as we could. Lamb Saag was a particular highlight. Place is nice in general, staff were friendly and attentive.

Food is good as every. Under new management. But service was not as good as previously found. Possible a reason why????. But will be going back.

Good was delicious. We ordered way too much food. Started with appetizers that looking back weren't that big but that was a good thing. All very tasty. We watch had a different curry and all were super delicious. Recommend for way in or takeaway.

Recently refurbished sits around 40 people. This restaurant is Air Conditioned, and very pleasant during the recent heat wave. Excellent choice of menu to suit most tastes.

Esta vez decidimos ir en miércoles por la noche que es la noche de banquetes de £12. 95 cada uno por un entrante, un plato de arroz, plato principal, lado y té o café. Reservamos el día antes como me dijeron que se llena, nos alegramos de haberlo hecho. A nuestra llegada, el personal es siempre muy agradable y educado. Aunque estaban ocupados la comida llegaba bastante rápido, fresco y caliente. Los sabores son divinos, incluso intentamos nuevos platos que no habían tenido antes y me alegro de haberlo hecho. En general, la comida fue excelente, un ambiente encantador y un servicio excelente. Altamente recomendado.

A mi hija le gusta la comida india (no estoy orgullosa de ello), y usualmente hay un montón de opciones sin gluten en restaurantes indios, así que decidimos probar este lugar. . Esta fue la mejor comida que he probado en mucho tiempo! Pedimos picante, pollo bhuna Papar, y pollo biryani y todos fueron increíbles! Little India me ha hecho repensar mi opinión de esta cocina. No puedo dar suficientemente buenas críticas!

The menu is extensive and varied. The food is excellent with a chance to try something different and the staff are more than happy to advise. Well worth a visit. If collecting to takeaway, 10% discount and free bottle of wine if order greater than £35.

Ok we have been using this restaurant for 3 years. Yesterday evening we were very disappointed with the food,we told the waiter that the samosas had got very small they used to be a lot bigger, my starters hardly had any flavour. He said he would tell chef. So then came mains well we didn't enjoy this at all so my husband got up to talk to waiter and explained that we would not be paying and also would not be going back. So after 3 years we have to find another Indian restaurant. Such a shame only a short walk from home.

We booked the whole restaurant for a large party of 30 guests, decor was very pleasant and stand attentive and courteous, food was very good and I would defiantly go back but with a small group. To be fair to the staff it did seem as though they had never had a single group of this size and appeared to struggle. Prices are very good as we had the "banquet night" which is fixed price.

We had an excellent experience here. Recommended by my Father in Law the family had an outing here just before Christmas.The staff were all very friendly and the restaurant was well presented with clean linen and napkins. I'm not a huge spice fan but my husband likes hot food as does our eldest. There was a good variety of choice on the menu and we ordered a selection of mains to have after our poppadums. The red sauce that comes with them is really nice, we found out its a chef special after speaking to our waiter. The lamb Saag is very nice as was the Bhuna my husband had. The naan bread was a little dry but not bad. We very much enjoyed our visit, the food and service were good, the only downside was we felt it was a little expensive for what we had eaten and the naan was a little dry, otherwise totally spot on. We would return.

We use the Little India restaurant on a regular basis. The food is consistently excellent whether you eat in our grab a takeaway. Wouldn't dream of going going anywhere else. Keep it up!

We were staying with my sister and her husband nearby for Christmas and wanted somewhere to go on Christmas Eve to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. The atmosphere, food and service were excellent... couldn't have wished for a nicer start to the festive holiday. I have to say that the naan breads were the very best I have ever had... so light and delicious.. Many thanks for a lovely evening

Little India really is a "diamond in the rough" nestled in the small village of Lakenheath. The service is excellent and the interior is small but exceptionally clean and welcoming. The menu is broad and wonderful. The menu is vast and spicy dishes are clearly labeled. The popadoms and accompanying sauces are crisp and flavorful. If you're in the area and looking for Indian cuisine Little India is unmatched.

We had a takeaway it was cold and didn't taste very nice. Will not be using them again also a bit expensive for a bad takeaway

The team at Little India are always very friendly - I don't use it that frequently but they always remember my name and ask how I am etc, making me feel welcome. The food is very good, in particular their lamb dansak is superb; full of flavour and very tender meat. Also, their chilli and cheese naan bread is delicious.

Such a lovely little restaurant, so clean and well kept. The staff are friendly, always welcoming and the food is amazingly good! Me and the family have been honing since it opened and have never had a bad experience ✔✔✔

I eat here once a week and I find the consistency in terms of food to be very good. There is a large menu with all the traditional favourites and a excellent chef's selection. Vegetarian tastes are reasonably catered for and gee is not used, or so they say. Gourmet night is Wednesday when you get three courses for around £14. Take out and home delivery is available. In general service is good but variable and there are one or two who spend more time looking at their mobiles rather than the customers, hence the four stars.

I've only had take aways from here so far and they have been lovely, the restaurant looks clean and has nice lighting the staff are friendly too always seems busy.

Having won a £30.00 Voucher in a competition during the Euros my wife and I visited for our meal this evening. I must say it was probably the best Indian we have ever had. Excellent food and staff very friendly and efficient. I also rate a restaurant by the state of its toilets. Little India's are immaculate and modern. We live about 25 miles away and will be visiting regularly in the future and recommending to friends and family. Top marks.

We go regularly. I am always impressed by the freshness of the food, amount given and the pleasant and extremely helpful staff. The sauces are always full strength and consistency (not watered down like another place we visited)The food was also not greasy. I personally do not like food full of oil and grease and the menu was full of choices for me.

I've been to Little India many times with the whole family, and often just myself and my wife. With every visit we are greeted with a warm friendly service and the food is always a delight. The menu has a great variety of dishes to accommodate many different tastes, and on the occasions when I've requested something not listed, they have obliged. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed and is never too noisy despite the restaurant often being full of diners. The decor is clean and modern. I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try if you are a fan of Indian food. Be sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment, particularly on weekends, and also on Wednesdays when they have a great (and popular) offer on a 3 course banquet. Little India offer a takeaway and delivery service - while we haven't used this service very often (we live too far away), as with our experiences eating in the restaurant, we have never been disappointed when we have used it.

A great find. Usual enormous menu, but they manage to pull it off and deliver fresh tasting dishes which are exactly as you would expect them to be, but which so often aren't in UK Indian restaurants. Very attentive and agreeable staff. Will definitely go again 5 of us ate all we could manage with a few beers thrown in and spent about £75Worth a detour, as the best in the area

Visited little India for our date night and everything was perfect, the food was served steaming hot and the most tastiest Indian food I have ever eaten. I have nothing but praise for this restaurant and the staff.. They are attentive and polite and couldn't do enough to ensure we were staisified, it's almost like being a guest at their house! Absolutly wonderful visit, can't wait to go back..
