This was my first experience and the food was delicious! The service was excellent! I really enjoyed the lamb.

A good indian restaurant in a pretty old building in Mildenhall. All the things you would expect on the menu and several specialities. Very friendly service.

The non veg curry main courses were very sweet. I assume this is why there are no dessert options. The biryani and veg dishes were ok. I would agree with some previous reviews which state that the food is not authentic Indian. The waiters were polite but defensive when asked about the intense sweetness and they spent a fair amount of time talking amongst themselves. Comment to manager’s response - we sat for most of our meal alone, during which there were no other diners eating in the restaurant. A few people came 10 minutes before we left and chose to sit at a table nearest to us and were chatting happily amongst themselves. However, given the waiters’ attitude, I am not surprised by your libellous response. The plain naans and baby leaf salad also had sugar added. The level of sugar in the butter chicken was like in a dessert. Some of the dishes were not so sweet and therefore palatable.

Absolutely great for family or couples. We often frequent this restaurant. The place is spotless, very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely table settings and ambiance. Lovely food with lots of choice, nothings ever too much when I ask for things. It’s not close to where we live, but it’s worth the trip every time. Highly recommended. Better than the best Indian restaurant in Dubai! Go along and find your new go to Indian restaurant😉

Warm and friendly staff, very clean and professional too. The place is spotless, fantastic menu choice. Very well presented and awesome tasting food. Very good portion sizes. Always content and full when leaving. Highly recommended to chose here. We travel a fair distance but it’s worth it.

If you want a good old ENGLISH curry with all the Indian features removed, other than it's 'looks', Then this your place. Having more than 25 trips to India, I love authentic Indian food. But If you want a taste of real food thats closer to real Indian than this place, I suggest you local Macdonald's, it's 30% cheaper will fill you up, and doesn't prtend to be anything other than what it's.

Best Indian take away I've been to. It's not even all that local but this will now be the one I go to. Well worth the round trip.

The food is normally really good but today it was a little disappoint, it was a bland and in believably greasy, I had to pour about 1/4 of cup of oil of two dishes.

My family have been enjoying deliveries from Spice Lounge for many years now. You simply won't find a better Indian restaurant in the whole of the UK, and they deserve every award they've been given. Apart from the amazing food they are all such lovely people. We are moving away soon and will miss eating this delicious food more than anything! We were very excited to have an Indian takeaway not far from our new home and were very happy to order after a long-day. While the service was good, the food was not. It didn't taste Indian at all! Even the naan was gummy. A disappointing Friday night. We are not ruling it out completely but maybe we will try a visit to the dining room before giving a final say.

In need of good food and warm and friendly environment, I took myself to my favourite local Indian restaurant. This is my place of choice because the food is excellent full of flavour and good portions. The environment is well coming and the staff are friendly and helpful. Tonight I decided to try one of the New dishes, the Nawabi, great choice if you like spicy. This place is always worth a visit if you're in the area.

Best Indian we've had in the UK. The staff, food, and environment are all exceptional. It's clear why this restaurant wins awards. Everything tastes fresh and is so flavorful. The space is well decorated and cozy. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Visiting friends in the area we came across a little gem of a restaurant... Spice Lounge. We cannot compliment this place enough. We had brilliant service from start to finish with attentive staff. The dishes were lovely and flavoursome and the evening was topped off by well presented, delicious desserts with great attention to detail! We were pleasantly surprised as we have not typically come across desserts like these with an Indian fusion! It's such a shame we live so far away. Thank you Spice Lounge for a lovely evening!

Ordered Takeaway for family of four was not edible the lamb in all 4 curries could not be chewed had to be thrown away. Did contact the restaurant to discuss but they never responded back so guess they do not want to explain why or try and sort it out . Previous visits have had lovely food but sadly due to it being inedible and customer service 0 we will not go back ! If you do order try something other than lamb as for all 4 meals to be inedible and they were all different curries the meat is obviously the problem.

used to be my favourite curry place, but it does appear to have gone downhill on the last two occasions. Likely won't be ordering from there again. The food was somewhat flavourless which is not how it used to be and the price now far exceeds the quality of the curry. There are better alternatives, perhaps it will improve in the future but I am updating my review based upon an appalling takeaway at the weekend. Poor food and £46 for two people/two Currys.

Really good choices on the menu...food was tasty and good value. My friend has severe allergies and they came out to check her menu choices to make sure she would be safe ..not done very often. .toilets were clean too always a bonus .. definitely will revisit

Visited here as read the rave reviews, fabulous food and great service , very busy for a Tuesday but I was seated upstairs which was fine . When I checked my receipt I was overcharged for poppadoms (ordered 2 charged for 4 ) and be weary of chutney tray was £5.80 but dips were lovely . Very good service and food was very good so I didn’t bother mentioning the oversight on the papadums . Well worth the number 1 rating on TA Thanks for your hospitality I loved the dinner

Oh dear Spice Lounge what have you done.... It was a less than busy Tuesday evening and seven of us were crammed onto a small table. Your new paper menus are difficult to handle and to read. With seven of us at the table it would have been much easier and more enjoyable to have a set of pickles each end of the table with our poppadoms. When the main courses arrived there was barely enough room for the food on our small table. I have always enjoyed the food at the Spice Lounge - full of flavour and well spiced. Not this time - all of our party had the same comment to make - the food was not seasoned and lacked the usual depth of flavour. It had all of us asking for the salt.. It was disappointing- sorry.

The food was good however I ordered lamb bhuna and was given chicken bhuna.

The Spice Lounge is our favourite in Mildenhall but it seems to have changed. The food is still very good, don’t get me wrong. The service is attentive but I missed the familiar faces. You can’t all have retired, surely? The thing that I really didn’t like is the new menu, the format. Having a sheet of paper, around A2 size, plonked in front of me was, frankly, a pain. Manipulating a large sheet of paper while eating poppadoms with chutney selection and enjoying your first beer on a small table is far from easy, not what I expected in the Spice Lounge. It might sound petty but try it, you’ll soon see what I mean. There has to be a lot of waste associated with this format of menu, which seems odd for a menu that rarely changes. Let me repeat, the food is as good as ever, so don’t let my irritation with the change in menu put you off going in for a very good meal.

Went again last night, one off the nicest places to eat a authentic Indian meal, never had a badmeal in fact seems to get better & better. I was Introduced to The Spice Loung by good friends whove used for yrears & we've had party upstairs & intimate experience too all good. Food is OK, nothing special, they don't serve any dessert which is surprising not to have for Indian restaurant, the reason for 1 star review is we were one hour into our dinner, and was told to hurry up and vacant table when the restaurant was empty, also we had our toodler with us eating so its real shame restaurant don't value family and bit delay and telling us such thing when you have kids eating is disrespect towards your customer, even when restaurant was empty, we have ate in so many restaurants but no one have said such things when you have kids. Sorry not be visiting ever due to this. Update to Restaurant reply: Sorry I dont agree with this, let me clear some things, when we came in we were told to wait and then given table, nothing was told there was party (later we saw pople coming for party was upstairs not downstairs where we sitting) at 8pm, it took 20-25 min after order for food to arive to it was almost 6:45pm, hence as per above i was only one hour into restaurant we as didnt order any drink, when i asked about dessert i was told they ran out and they dont serve today something which didnt made sense, we ignore it , so please dont lie, this was exact words, also if you had table booked at 8pm you should informed us when we came first as to vacant table at 8pm ( we would have to another restaurant) or later politely that we have party in 15min please can you vacant table, none of this was done, so sorry not sure how you won award this is basic common sense when you liase with your customer.

Food was warm, not hot at all. Not great but ok. Meat was all chewy with the lamb & the chicken pieces were huge (not a nice size in the dish)

We had onion bargi and Sheesh kebab to start. 4 bargies and two kebab. Barji very dense and filling Then a chicken and mince dish...spicy...sorry can't remember name and a butter chicken(which was more like a korma to me) Very generous amounts of meat in curries..too much for us to finish Very polite staff

Saturday night it seems possible to park just past Spice Lounge near hospice. Visiting Suffolk to go birdwatching. Needed something to eat around Mildenhall. Spice Lounge came out as recommended - and thanks to those who did because we had an exquisite meal with potential for some unusual dishes. Case in hand - I had a Lamb Xacuti. Superb taste. I like how the Spice built - I do like hot Spice - this was initially mild Spice but it built - possibly I could have gone a bit more but like I said I like it too hot. Mrs had chicken tikka. Naan breads were amazing. And the tamarind spiced sauce on the pickle tray was my favourite. We came for the birds - could imagine moving to Mildenhall for The Spice Lounge. Bravo chef and team.

I’m from Kent and in the area for work this is the second restaurant that I have sampled this week, the locals are really spoilt for these establishments, one of the best Indian restaurants I have eaten in, food was tasty with a nice spice that you taste and not overwhelming like some dishes. Was a busy time when I was there with 2 large party’s but was not made to feel in the way, the service was first class as the food was.

These guys know how to treat customers,we ordered a takeaway on a Sunday evening for 5 people. Generous portions with plenty of chicken and lamb. A good selection of pickles added for the poppadoms and two bottles of wine sent with the order.Nice to see a business that gives that bit extra … keeps the customer happy and coming back. We will be back ! Thank you Spice lounge.

You must visit this award winning restaurant. The food is impeccable and heavenly the staff are the friendliest and most accommodating people. Service is always top notch. My favourite Indian restaurant highly recommend.

I have not dined in this restaurant, and I have missed out on so much. The service was great. They made sure I was satisfied, and I was. The waiters were very friendly and had good knowledge about the food. The atmosphere was excellent, and the other diners were so too. The best part of the food was delicious from starters to desert. The flavours of the food were out of this world. I would recommend everyone to try this place once, at least. I would come more often and I would like to thank the staff of the restaurant for making my dining pleasant experience once again.

The food was bland. No taste to any of the five dishes I ordered. Pilau rice was really soggy and the Bunah. It just tasted of tomato, with no real texture to it.The saag paneer had hardly no spinach and was all yellow with a creamy sauce.The only thing that was ok was the poppadoms. I’m not sure why the reviews were so good maybe people haven’t tried another locally, ie Bury or Brandon. I say this with confidence as we normally go to Bury for ours, but couldn’t this evening. There is so much better out there.

Revisited after moving away and not finding anywhere local that matches this place! Takeaway still the best we’ve had after 20 mins journey home. Amazing food at great value. Staff always friendly and go over and above to help. Looking forward to making this our go to ‘local’ again

It’s been hard to find an Indian that is authentic and tastes amazing since we moved to this area but spice lounge knock it out the park everytime! The also have greats deals and customer service!

We have been eating at the spice lounge for many years now, and we have never had a bad meal. The service eating in and taking out is always excellent. The chicken passanda is the best!

Spice lounge has been our 'go to' indian takeaway for years. We decided to dine in this month and the food, service and atmosphere were all outstanding as usual.

I’ve been coming in this restaurant ever since the beginning. From the experience I’ve had over the years from other restaurants they are spot on every time. Nothing can compare! and coming from a chef background I know it’s 100%

Never disappoints always wows us. We have been impressed with the excellent food, service and the great look of the restaurant for around 13 years now. The staff are all well trained and it shows. We always shout about this place to other people as they never fail to impress. Cost of food and drink is reasonably priced and nothing is too much trouble.

Officially the best Indian around! Always return to this restaurant as the flavours are outstanding, good affordable menu, lovely wine and staff always happy to assist. The Takeaway service is also very good too. My brother lives in Royston and always chooses to come to Mildenhall for his curry.

Too sweet. Everything was really sugary with no other real flavour. I had the chef's special tikka masala which cost more than other items. it was very bland, no curry or spice flavour, just sweetness. Same with my partner's korma. I know a korma is supposed to be a sweeter type of curry, but this was just ridiculous, sweeter than custard. For the money I spent (£42.90) I expected better. Very disappointed. The poppadoms and plain naan were good.

The items we ordered were way too sweet, pretty much just a sauce made of sugar. Lacking any real flavour. Including the rice and naan. Just too sweet.

Food was delicious as usual wouldn’t order Indian food from anywhere else. Always loads of meat in the curries and the flavours are excellent. My brother was visiting and enjoyed his as much as me and he is a real curry lover so it was great to be able to share your amazing food with him. Thank you

Ordered a takeaway and it was the most tasteless thing I’ve had. Lime Indian in Bury is 1000x better for a takeaway. I agree with another review that the buttermilk chicken is tasteless.

Had a Fantastic pathia. Excellent value and lovely taste.

Just had a takeaway delivered and could not fault the flavours but the chicken was so dry it was almost inedible I don’t think I will order again from them. I don’t understand why some of these places don’t use chicken thighs because breast is so easy to overcook

Restaurant did call to say give or take 20 minutes delivery and came through on that promise being only 15 minutes late compared to the delivery time. Lovely curry for the family that went down a treat. Spice lounge you done it again.
