We recently visited Rose and Mango with a group of 25 people, and I can honestly say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing—each dish was fresh, full of flavor, and of high quality. Despite being such a large group, everything came out perfectly and on time. The prices were very reasonable, especially given the exceptional quality of the food. We were all incredibly impressed. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well looked after throughout the entire meal. Their friendliness and professionalism made the experience even better. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better time. Whether you're dining with a group or just a few people, I highly recommend Rose and Mango for an unforgettable meal!

14/10—We had dinner at the Rose and Mango Newmarket. The food and service are always very good. However, I do question the Pickle Tray, which may appear inventive but lacks the common flavour elements we have always loved at restaurants. Where the Rose and Mango are failing, the décor is terrible, and I am sure with a small investment, it could elevate itself to another level. However, my biggest gripe is with the transport café menu. You serve lovely food and give me a menu that drops you down to a level so low that it’s a greasy spoon category. Get rid of that plastic menu and save yourselves.

Every time we come to Newmarket we always eat here for tea as the food is exceptional. This is the third time we have come when visiting and we wont go anywhere else. The sharing chicken tikka starter was a taste sensation! They were able to cater and point out all the gluten free options for my wife too, which put her at ease so she could enjoy her food without worry.

Would have been very good if didn’t have to microwave it once arrived. Seemed as tho possibly packaged next to someone else’s cold drinks, as half the containers were cold on one side….Is a shame, as food was very tasty.

For me, R & M is the best Indian restaurant in town. Whether it’s a take-away and dine in, the food is always delicious, and the staff very friendly

The food was great, service was great. But, the corma was super spicey and didn’t take much like a korma. Flavour was good. But my mouth was on fire and the fire alarm went off

Have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now as it always smells so amazing when I walk past. It did not disappoint! I celebrated my birthday here; the food was absolutely delicious; all my guests were happy! I would say the dishes offer something very different from a "run of the mill" indian restaurant; it really feels like the dishes were cooked with love to be flavoursome and represent Kerala, rather than just adding spice purely for heat. Even the pickles & dips with the poppadoms were very different from those I have tried before. I would really recommend it! Will return.

Simply the best Indian food I have ever tasted. For starters, I had scallops that melted in my mouth, bursting with flavour. The portions were generous. I arrived on my own, but I was made to feel very welcome by the attentive waitors.

A charming and airy restaurant with a genuinely friendly greeting followed by great service and excellent food. We began with poppadoms and pickles which were more unusual and interesting than we expected. We opted for starters to share and were delighted by the flavours and the generous portions. We moved onto mains with 4 meat dishes, 3 various rice dishes plus side dishes and naan. Everything was piping hot, with great flavours and in generous portions. The presentation and flavours surprised us all - this was unlike other restaurants or other Indian cuisine and was a very special meal. We can't wait to visit again.

Found this place en route from London to Norwich, took the detour off the A11 home is it was Sunday evening and our regular places in Barton Mills were fully booked- was so glad we discovered it - We eat a LOT of Indian food, both in UK and in India, and this ranked among the best we've discovered anywhere. Nice selection of well known and slightly different dishes, very clean and delicately spiced, very tasty and healthy. Would highly recommend, Rose and Mango was not surprised to see the place fill up as we sat, but we were lucky to get a table earlier in the evening without booking.

What a fantastic restaurant. Welcoming and friendly. Really tasty and good portioned food. A great selection of vegetarian meals. They know their ingredients, but if uncertain, it was no hassle to check. Nothing is a rush, so it was a really pleasant, relaxed meal. Air-conditioned, but happy to turn it down if a little too cold. Drinks not overly expensive. If in Newmarket would we go again, definitely. Thank you for a lovely evening.

This is the best Indian I have had and can’t wait to come back next time we are in Newmarket, the food is outstanding and cooked to perfection, if you are visiting Newmarket this is such a great find

A very popular place for a Tuesday evening so that's a good sign. We were at the Jockey Club Rooms so this was extremely convenient. A good range of options and different meats which is good to see. Beautiful crab starter and tasty food. I did not think this was out of the ordinary, the chicken curry was a little one dimensional but the lamb was tasty. Certainly offering a good place for a decent curry. Not sure about Rose and Mango theme?

The food was superb and plentiful. The menu had some really interesting dishes on there, not just the usual dishes. The whole place felt very high-end but the pricing was reasonable. Good value! The service was superb. I had left a comment in the box when booking online to let them know it was my partner's birthday and she was new to the area (neither of us had been there before). At the end of the meal, they had written "happy birthday" beautifully on a plate with something edible (sorry, not sure what! Raspberry and mango sauce?!) with a bowl of ice cream and a candle. Really nice touch. All in all, it was an excellent evening and we'd love to go back there again soon.

Well ‘The Lime’ has now been replaced !!! Never been here before and I’ve missed a belter. I bought a take away so atmosphere was hard to score. Staff very attentive, and friendly. Food was fantastic and hot, and tasty. Rice perfectly cooked and Onion Bhajis were excellent, and cooked to perfection. The menu didn’t have my usual (Chicken Tikka Bhuna) which initially was disappointing but encouraged me to try something different, which I did and was happily surprised.

Excellent food, very clean premesis, will definitely be back.

Very random find. Dose not look like a curry house inside and a bit mush mashy inside. But wow the food was fantastic. Not a normal curry menu but this was fab as it made me try something new. Wow great food and staff where so nice. My wife Kate is lactose intolerant and they made a fresh dairy curry just for her. Thanks and would deffo go again

We just dropped by as visiting Centreparcs and got some food to take away. ABSOLUTELY blown away by the quality of the lamb curry and chicken briyani. Also had the chicken tikka starter and dhaba chicken which were good. 5 stars guys! Keep it up

We booked into the restaurant with family and grandchildren after the races. Had to move the booking forward by a hour due to hungry children, but were very good with that.What an amazing restaurant, best Indian we have ever been to, we all loved it and children ate the lot ! Don’t be deceived by the outside as the inside service, food and atmosphere are 1st Class. Highly recommend :)

Every visit to this restaurant is a delight. Charming staff, a relaxed atmosphere but above all reliably the best Indian food you can find.

We were a group of 10, everyone except one person enjoyed their food. The trout was too salty and very small portion.

Food came cold and the portions were tiny. the food taste was barely average for a restaurant which is trying to sell itself as fine dining level food. Truly disappointing, and a tremendous waste of money. If at least the price of the food was reflected in the quality and quantity of the food you get then i could bump it to three stars.

Best place to be in for dinner. It's not a pure Kerala restaurant, but the dishes are just wow!

Fantastic food, nicest Indian in the area by far! Definitely not your typical greasy ‘tastes all the same’ takeaway that a lot of places are like. The chicken platter was incredible, as were the Bombay aloo and chef mothers chicken. It got quite warm in the restaurant (it was a Friday night and fully booked) so don’t wear too many layers (it was zero degrees outside when we visited!)

We went today rose and mango with friends. We really enjoyed it. Service was perfect and quick ! Food was amazing. We had for starter Chicken Tikka Kalakkar and Hyderabad Lamb Samosa and we had mains Syrian Beef Curry. Everything was very testy. We will back definitely again !!!

Quite simply, the best Indian food I have had in the uk. Beautifully presented and excellent, different and very tasty menu. A real change from most Indian restaurants.

Not impressed took them 1.5 hours to bring out main meal which wasn't worth waiting for.

Absolutely terrible service.. placed an order online for delivery. Was accepted and money taken. Time for delivery was confirmed and 45 minutes later still waiting. Called the restaurant and was told they no longer deliver??? My daughter has gone to collect the food now and it better be hot !! Zero communication from the restaurant. Will not use again. Like Indian is a regional winner for a reason. Will never use substandard again !!!!!

Awesome food. 3rd visit last night and as always the food was sublime, unlike some other local restaurants where you take the quality of the food with the same chances as a coin flip. Rose and Mango does not disappoint. Their interesting (and reasonably priced) menu means that you are forced to choose something different from your usual Indian restaurant choices and experience Real. Delicious. Food. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food was great, my reason for making them down was that my starter was only just warm and could have done with a little extra cooking.

Late night dinner with brilliant and friendly service with the most educated waiters (studying for MBA and MSc). Only criticisms...... slightly too much masala with the main dishes and no chapattis.

We had a great meal here , was the first time id visited, food was lovley, only let down was that a few rice dishes were missed off the order one being mine , so I didn't quite enjoy the curry untill the rice arrived but by that time I had eaten most of it along with the naan. If was a large table so not sure if that's where they struggled. But other wise friendly staff

First time I have used this restaurant after being let down by my usual 2. Food was amazing and this will be my top choice going forward. Not the cheapest but certainly the best in town. A+

Excellent service, great staff, and really outstanding, memorable food with clean and fresh flavours. Try ALL of the chutneys with the poppadoms, try the fig and coriander naan, if you have room, try the seared pineapple dessert.

Amazing food and service! I think it's one of the best Indian restaurants we've ever been to and we've seen many around the world. We have gone many times since we lived here and will continue to go often. The butter chicken and korma are excellent. We also love the coconut rice and fig naan. We've tried many things on the menu, and you just can't really go wrong. I highly recommend such a lovely place.

Hands down the best curry I’ve ever had! The chicken tikka masala was delicious and the lamb shank melted off the bone. The service from all the staff was perfect. Could not fault anything!

This is not the first time I have dined at this restaurant but this time took my son for his first visit and he loved it as as previously did I. The waiters are really nice and service is brilliant. I am returning this Friday with my wife even though we live about 30 miles from Newmarket but the food is worth it and not overly expensive

Had a midweek meal here with friends for my birthday. One of the best Indian meals I’ve ever had, the food was delicious. When the restaurant staff worked out it was my birthday they gave me a special desert on the house which was really appreciated. If you’re looking for good non-Anglo Indian food, this is the place to go.

Having read previous reviews we thought this restaurant was definitely worth trying. Those other reviews were right. We had a delicious and unusual Indian meal. Even familiar dishes, say chicken tikka, were prepared differently - I had chicken tikka 3 ways - delicious. My husband loved his railway lamb. As well as very tasty food, the service was attentive, but not too much. I thoroughly recommend Rose and Mango.

We came in for a special lunchtime fixed menu to celebrate Onam Sadya, which I believe is a harvest festival in the Kerala region of India (where the friendly restaurant team originate from). The food is a traditional feast: many small vegetarian dishes and sauces all placed on a banana leaf and served with rice. This was something entirely new to us, and it was a fun experience. The waiters were dressed in traditional costumes, and they had made a large ornamental design on the floor (which must have taken hours!) Some of the customers were Indian, also on traditional dress, so I hope it got their sea of approval too! I love how this restaurant does new things, from changing the menu regularly to the special feasts like Onam Sadya and Valentines Day. They’re really putting in the work to give people exciting and fun experiences, and it’s well worth a visit.

What an amazing restaurant - the food was amazing, creative, light yet filling. Really enjoyed it and the service from Manu was top! Can’t wait to return and try everything else on the menu.

After a birthday outing day at the races, on family recommendation, we booked to eat at the Rose and Mango. We opted for the Taster Menu to take the pressure off choosing/having our usual. The staff were friendly and attentive - without being over the top. They introduced each course and were knowledgeable about all the ingredients and background to the dishes. The food was amazing and reasonably priced - we were told that we could have more of the mains if we wanted. The place was busy but the tables were spaced so that you didn't feel that you were sitting on top of the next table. Will definitely be returning to this little gem and would highly recommend. Easy parking in same road sd restaurant.

Prob best Indian Restaurant in Newmarket.

We were in the area and took a punt. What a lovely experience. The food is a cut above your general curry and it was great to see railway curry. For those who have experienced this in India this is the real deal. We ordered a selection of all sorts and loved it all. Will definitely come back. We are total curry nuts. Not a vindaloo or madras in sight!!

Absolutely delicious food and great service to go with. Such great flavour and quality, and the chef was able to make one of the dishes slightly spicier at our request - it tasted great! Also the best cheese naan I've ever had!
