Terrible experience with this place. We had arrived in excitement looking forward to try a waffle and crepe for me and my husband. The entire service was very very slow. It took about 16 minutes to serve something realistically should have taken a lot less time. Regardless when we were served we had mentioned this to the server and he just smiled without even understanding what was said. Once he left, the lady came out shortly after and asked us if everything was okay as the server said there was a complaint. So we said the same thing to her that it took a very long time and instead of apologising to us, she got defensive and said 'you can check the timer if you want' 'I kept an eye on the timer and it didn't take half an hour it took 16 minutes'. To which i responded 'that's a very long time?!' I told her our previous visit was very much the opposite- the waiter who brought us our dessert (we ordered the exact same waffle and crepe) presented it beautifully and with an ingredient that was not present this time. This time it was a little different. Nevertheless we said its okay and that we were just a little surprised at the time it took. But the lady's response was shocking. Unfortunately we will not be going back and would rather go to creams just nearby instead.

the desserts are nice enough and what you’d expect but we ordered online and we were told a pick up time, my partner got there and nearly 40 minutes later he was still in there waiting! turns out they gave our food to a delivery driver by accident so needed to remake ours but after all of this they didn’t even offer money off or anything extra for free? seems like the right thing to do considering their mistake giving away our order? lady manager never seems welcoming or apologetic we’ve been a couple of times. as i said, desserts are what you’d expect and the place is clean and pretty but the service is slow! and they don’t go out of their way to help solve an issue / make up for issues so

Walked in, stood by the counter for a few minutes, lady behind the counter didn’t even look up at me. Walked out. Went down the road to creams, greeted by a lovely lady behind the counter, bought a delicious dessert. There are too many places in Epsom for you to survive if you have poor customer service. Life is busy, just be polite.

I went to the Little Dessert Shop soon after it opened in Epsom and found it delightful. Lovely food and atmosphere, enthusiastic, helpful and friendly staff. But when I popped in this afternoon, what a disappointment! I was surprised to see that there were only 2 customers, as it had been extremely busy on my previous visit, but I soon discovered why. I had intended to have a coffee, but as it was quite warm, I changed my mind and decided to have an ice cream instead. Surprisingly, although it was only shortly after 4 p.m. there was very little ice cream left. There was Ferrero Rocher, but I did not fancy such a rich ice cream, and the other flavours available were called hubble bubble and queen of hearts. There was a young woman behind the counter but she had her back to me and was packing something away. She did not turn around until I called out to her. She did not greet me, or smile or make any move at all, just stood there looking at me. I asked her what flavour Queen of Hearts was (It was white with a little red on the top). She said "Red Velvet". That did not sound like a flavour, it sounded like a colour and a fabric. I asked what it tasted like, and very grudgingly she put a little on a small wooden spoon and held it out to me without speaking. I tasted it and was not really impressed, but as I wanted something cold, I asked for "One scoop please, to eat here". Again, no reply, but she disappeared, presumably to dish up the ice cream. When she reappeared, it was simply to say "Will you come to the till". I did so, and paid her, and then looked for somewhere to sit, out of the sun. By then, the couple in the shop were preparing to leave, making me the only customer there. The only tables completely out of the sun were tables for 4, and I sat down at one. After a few minutes she appeared carrying my ice cream in a cardboard cup. I told her that I did not want a cardboard cup. I wanted it in a glass bowl. Her reply was that she did not know that I was going to eat it in the shop, and why was I sitting at a table for 4 when I was alone. I told that I was the only customer in the shop, so what did it matter where I sat, and that when ordering I had told her that I would be eating it in the shop. She huffed and disappeared and then came back with it squashed most unappetisingly into a china bowl. I asked her whether she knew what customer service was, and said that I was not surprised that the shop was empty and I would certainly not be back. I ate my messy ice cream, which proved to be full of coconut which I dislike, but had not been noticeable in the tiny piece on the little wooden spoon, and I left. Seems a pity to me,as it had appeared full of promise on my previous visit.

Seems like a lovely place for those with a sweet tooth......however the crepe whilst presented well was like rubber, the pancakes were stodgy and undercooked making them stick to your teeth and hard to swallow, and as for the coffee I have had better dishwater! It seems like they're trying too hard to be unique and fancy without getting the basics right

This café is great for families and people of all ages. Delicious fresh desserts, friendly personnel, cosy boho style surroundings make you feel special and wanting to visit again and again. We had visited The Little Dessert Shop on numerous occasions-birthday treat, the afternoon tea and just casual walk in to let our taste buds explode with exceptional cheesecakes. Afternoon tea was very good and I was given an option of choosing our own sandwich filling and waffle toppings. I can not wait to try the chocolate Eiffel tower or the chocolate shoe (only one tiny wish-i wish there was an option of having a dark/milk chocolate shoe). This place is a must visit café in Epsom. You will not be disappointed

I ordered food via just eat. The food delivery was early and it wasnt all warm. Some was cold. Very good portion sizes. This is the first time we have used this Chinese and won’t be using it again. The delivery driver couldn’t find out and put the phone down on me. I couldn’t understand them and they were rude. The lemon chicken had no sauce like you would expect and was covered in lemon peel. It was very dry, the rice had zero flavour. The veg curry had loads of bean sprouts and the crispy seaweed was cold and mushy. I didn’t like it at all. The chips were cold and the food was bland and tasteless. This is our first and last time using this Chinese. We will go back to our regular I think. We just wanted to give somewhere else a chance for a change. Not worth the money you pay for it. Terrible terrible terrible avoid at all costs. The delivery drivers need training in customer service. They are the front for the business and they are beyond rude. We live 10 mins away from this restaurant and they couldn’t find us. I think the drivers need to use sat nav.

I don t even want to give any stars. The food was never delivered by just eat. Terrible service by the business itself, non helpful. Driver, not speaking English surely needs to be a requirement. He got mad, told me in broken English cancel your order. So the Chinese is out of pocket, they get a bad review, we still hungry but the driver carries on.
