Little Buddha Nepalese Takeaway in Richmondshire

This is both a take out and you can dine in upstairs.we ate in , it’s basis furniture but we were not there for that ! We shared some chicken mo mos which were 🤤 delish ! This was followed by 2 set chicken meals which were both so tasty and hot and had obviously just been prepared There was a good portion of everything. We had two sprites and the the bill was £35 what a bargain

A great menu with a good range of food, which gave a lot of choice. The surroundings are clean and basic, but service always comes with a smile and willingness to talk and help. They also do a set meal with four separate bowls of food including curry, veg, pulses, sauces and a lot of rice a good option if you’re not sure what to order. We had the momo, ribs, chicken wings to start and followed it up with goat curry, chow mein, rice and chicken. We really enjoyed it and will definitely go again.

Terrible food poisoning been in bed all day. Never again. I have had food from here before with no problem but not this time I am still in agony with stomach pains and it is now 24 hours later.

Sensational food! Best curry my husband and I have had in a long time. This was a last minute spare of the moment thing. We asked if we could eat in - we would would not have minded if we couldn’t. They opened upstairs for us! They were only open for takeaway and we were surprised this was offered, but very grateful. The food was delicious and the service really friendly. It isn’t the poshest of places, but we’d have happily eaten the food on the street - it was sooooo good. An absolute must if you are ever in the area.

The food of this takeaway and restaurant has very quality and taste like having food from my family. They treat us like family with amazing service. They always provide takeaway in given time. Thats was very excellent. One love LITTLE BUDDHA NEPALESE TAKEAWAY❤️

We had a dine in with friends and tried nepalese cusine . It was a great food and reminded us of our food back in nepal 😍 We loved the hospitality as well

The food was really good. I felt like I was in Nepal when having the food. I Can't wait to visit again.

We visited on a Friday evening, we did book , and were advised that they were still training the family staff to serve in the restaurant. When we arrived we were pleased to see others already enjoying their meals . As we hadn’t had Nepalese before we asked for advice and our meal was great, attentive staff without being intrusive. Momos we great , the mains delicious fresh and fragrant. Now please don’t overwhelm them as they are building a great little restaurant and I want to be able to get a table.

Tiny menu. I had chicken curry, not even sure it was chicken and whatever it was was extremely tough. Approx 6 small pieces, which ended up being a good thing. I don’t tend to write reviews, but advising people not to visit.

The place is beautiful, and so are the people. I ordered a goat curry on the bone, not only did they let me try some dry fry pork because I’m new to gurka cuisine. They made and let me take some of the food I tried and LOVED for free. You are so polite and kind and helpful. AND your food is to die for. Thank you so much for this experience.

Went with 2 family on a Wednesday night including kids and was glad we booked. This delightful place looks small but is deceiving. Our arrival was like royalty - wonderfully warm and welcoming. There were lots of other diners which suggested this was a great eatery. We asked for their recommendations during our chilli chips bites and the sharing Nepalese meat platter(called chilli Momos,sukuti,Bhutan)was suggested. Mouthwatering is an understatement. Plenty of choice available to meet everyones needs. There was time to enjoy the food, ambience and have sociable chats with staff too. Main courses met our approval too. Plenty of meat in the dishes and sauce to dip . Would thoroughly recommend this place and we have already plans to return with more of our family. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. We would be dishonest to our self if we forget to tell the truth that this tiny gem is “One of the Best Nepalese restaurant that we ever been”.

We group of 8 people two families went to try tipical Nepalese meal on Little Buddha take away and Restaurant. We decided to dine there staff are really helpful to choose the meal, the owner of the restaurant named Chetan Rana magar explain us how the meal prepared, every meal they prepared from the scarch very delicious and freshly prepared. We had fantastic dinner and very hospital atmosphere. If anyone looking for typical Nepalese meal this is the best place to be.

I've ordered from here many many times and have NEVER been anything but 100% enthralled with the quality and taste of the food. My partner is vegetarian and is as well catered for a I am. The owners and staff are all lovely, attentive and polite. The food........ well, I've now tried the majority of the menu and there is nothing that hasn't been cooked to perfection, well portioned and so flavoursome. They will cook curries to your heat preference and having tried two curries back to back (for experimental purposes) I can confirm that they are all slow cooked with different seasonings and are not, like some, a generic sauce added to your choice of meat/veg. I would recommend Little Buddha to anyone.

tried little buddha for the first time, was excellent. Would highly recommend this to anyone. food was not too spicy but had a satisfying kick to it, and was very well seasoned. The whole family enjoyed the meal, and vegans were catered for!
