Not surprised you have 2 star rating Rude unhelpful staff My chicken burger came with bacon which i wasnt aware of and dont eat Asked them for a fredh ine while my already freezing cold chips got colder Was told id need to buy a new one I said i used to work in burger king amd you should be able to get the burger your way They said i should have amended on line Nothing on line highlighted it came with bacon and no option i saw to remove Asked for a supervisor Even ruder told me id need to buy another Needless to say i didnt

Food was fresh & hot, fast service and staff were friendly

First time I’ve had breakfast in Burger King. Served by the lovely Lynsay and Olivia. Very bubbly. Food was gorgeous, coffee perfect. Thank you both!

Very slow service, ordered to eat in and got given our order in bags, girl on the front counter looked about as happy to there as I do at the dentist! No enthusiasm no interaction no idea!

Place is a bit of dive, but its a rest stop in the middle of nowhere. Anything chicken is gross but the chimichurri beef is decent. Service is pretty good.

We stopped here on our way north on a Monday lunchtime and we’re sorry that we did. There were about four customers waiting when we went in but being fans of BK we waited. The poor young lad working alone on the counter taking orders, payments and trying to put together all the meals could not have been more helpful and we really felt so sorry for him. When our order finally arrived, we found a table and sat down to enjoy our snack. Or rather not. One burger was ok, the other burger were bordering on warm, fries were almost cold and the coffee resembled dyed hot water with no taste whatsoever. We looked at each other and then to the counter, which by this time had even more customers and any attempt to wait and bring attention to our plight would only have served to frustrate even further. So not wanting to delay our journey any more or give the young lad on the counter any more grief we simply left. Whoever the manager was on duty on Monday 13th November should really take a good look at themselves in regards to the quality of food served and for putting their young employee under such stress. A complete waste of almost £18.00 and almost an hour of our time. Being regular road users we’re well aware of the standards at motorway service stations which being honest have vastly improved over the years. We’ve visited many fast food outlets in service areas, including BKs without issue. I know this wasn’t a lot of money but it was really annoying, hence the time taken to put in this review.

Worst BK I've ever had the displeasure of dining in. Absolutely filthy, tables hadn't been cleaned for what seemed all day Rubbish all over, drink spilled at one table and seat had just been left to dry. Staff behind counter miserable and grunted when order was ready. Absolutely shocking

Ordered to take away on way home. Ordered at the counter as I have a blue light card which cannot be used at the touch screen. We waited for our order and then took it home to eat as we don't live far from the services. Sadly when we got home part of my sons order was missing, there were not cheese and bacon loaded fries. We checked the receipt and they had definitely been ordered and paid for so were very disappointed to find them missing. We have completed the feedback via the link on back of receipt and should we visit again will make sure we check the order is correct before leaving. Very disappointed.

Forgot items took 30 minutes to make cheesy chips Folded with orders more than 50 quid and many others complaints. Attitude issues of Olivia were grim, had an order for 167 and tested them horrifically.

Got 2 double bacon cheeseburgers and fries . Mine was eh, should have a customise button. Chips were not nice. Strawberry milkshake was very nice. 25p for barbecue sauce is ridiculous. Should be free with Ketchup. The girl behind the counter with tatoos could be more happy. 35 pound for 3 meals is disgusting. Not worth it. Will go to greggs next time

Instead of standing talking to each other, have you considered grabbing a brush and sweeping up. Why a state just pure lazy.

Shuts at 22.00 Went in at 21.15 with nowhere to sit as all seating cordoned off, no fizzy drinks and the choice of ( we have 1 whopper left and 1 Angus burger and no chicken ). Absolute joke of a place...

Seen a few bad reviews below but for me, this was a decent wee stop, en route to Lincolnshire (for work purposes). On this occasion, I opted for the Bacon Double Cheese XL meal (medium), a real ‘go-to’ for me if visiting BK. I received my order in five minutes (more or less) and ate it at a clean table, contemplating the thought of another two hours worth of driving. No complaints - very much a standard bit of fast food to fill a hole and fuel the brain! Service station prices are always expensive, but fully expected.

Rubbish, order wrong, lied about fizzy drink machine not working, burger dripping with grease, won’t be coming here again. Place also a mess

Just been in and asked to have some boiled water to warm up my baby's bottle, they said no that I'd have to go to Costa to get it. Why can I bring boiled water in from Costa but can't get any there. Absolutely disgusting 😤

Very bolshy very obnoxious manageress here refused to give me a coca cola without cup being half full of ice. Everything comes from the pinnacle so with her setting the lead all the kids follow her. Constant many times really lousy customer service no desire to send away a happy satisfied customer at all. Screens that never work properly so this manageress just says you should have done that on the screen when you cannot. Never again.

Decided to call in for a burger Xmas Eve. It was really quiet only a few people in. The order machine wouldn't accept my payment card so had to order directly with a member of staff. I asked for 1 burger without mayonnaise ( I can't stand mayonnaise) I also said I don't want ketchup on either. We receive our order and get home looking forward to my burger. I opened it up to see it can only be described as a sloppy mess. Absolutely plastered in mayonnaise and Ketchup. Burger king If you are going to employ staff can you ask them to listen to the customer. The place was empty and quiet there is no excuse as to why the lady did the opposite of everything I requested. Very very disappointed especially as id been ill with pnemonia and this was the first bite to eat that I so looked forward to. Never again!!!

Having never eaten at any fast food outlet before - I sought help from a young lady on the counter . With the images on the screens and the size of the portions - I felt a little child-like Excitement. My hopes were dashed when I got back to my room after receiving my order. Bun was dry and powdery , burger patty was Cold and lacked any taste that screens alluded . Onions rings were Cold , Processed mush and lacked crunch , freshness and mouth watering experience you get from real onion rings . The loaded fries were Stone Cold, squashed and appeared to have been cooked hours earlier , and left somewhere keeping warm . The cheese sauce seemed artificial ( made from powdered reconstituted sauce mix ), bacon bits also leaning on the overly processed from ( lacking any resemblance of crispy bacon ). Overall a throughly disappointing first fast food experience. Staff were friendly and helpful when helping me chose the meals I ordered , but don’t let your eyes and appetite be drawn in by these large screens depicting plump, overly-full , generous portions - it’s all a ploy to part you with your money for substandard “food”. Truck stops are unfortunately a captured market - so plan a head .

We stopped at Scotch Corner for the first time in years and went to try out the Burger King as we were aware of the vegetarian options. On seeing the rubbish everywhere and smelling the general underlying bad smell we left before ordering to find somewhere better.

Glass screens they force you to order at don't work. Won't take card payments at counter. Seating area they say for adults gives you bruises trying to squeeze in so I sit somewhere else like costa. Queues terrible here not enough staff so I go to costa or kfc next door.

Very poor customer services. Tall skinny teenager serving was so lucky my wife was there to calm me down. They messed the order up and then turned mouthy & abusive towards my wife. Food ok, but nothing special tbh. 3rd BK like this 😢 BK WHATS HAPPENING? Always supported you, but McD’s tends to be my choice theses days. Wake up ffs before it’s to late.

Visited this evening, still open for another hour and a half, I caught the lads eye behind the counter in the kitchen and asked if he was still open, I then heard a young girl audibly groan “no!” from next to him. I asked her to come out, which she did, but then said she “didn’t hear what I said”. I asked again if they were still open, to which I now received a yes but only chicken. I just walked off. Ridiculous staff

Food was OK, at least it was hot, huge long wait, tills out of paper receipts, bins overflowing, too few staff

Clean tables? Nope. Food warm? Barely. Service good? Hardly. Busy? Nope. Fair price? Absolutely not. Will we back? Never.

Absolute health hazard. 2 of us on journey to Scotland. Only thing to eat all day and after eating it, have felt terrible all day. Meal itself was horrendous as well as messing up the order. Update: Ended up having food poisoning all because KFC wasn't open. Just avoid!

Sorry to find the ever popular veggie burner ( a burger looking and tasting of veggie burger!) isn’t on the menu now. Appalling service. One person serving, he took an order manually, which is fine if it hadn't taken 10 minutes followed by walking away from the counter for a chat with the other 2 staff. Wouldn't go back

We went in about 21.00 - there was only two other people sitting at tables, all the tables were filthy and stuff all over the floor - but we were desperate for food. Orders two chicken burger meals. The chips were reheats (or seemed that way) the chicken was overcooked. It was disgusting but so hungry so we ate it. Definitely wouldnt go back

Had to wait ages! My fellow colleagues got served at other restaurants and were sat eating before I picked my order up from the counter - and I was 2nd in the queue upon arrival! To discover they didn't offer ordinary mayo to dip my chips in was a slap in the face too! Not everyone wants / likes / can have spicy! I ordered to dine in and was given the food in a takeaway bag. No tray offered, unlike the restaurant next door. I took it and ate with colleagues at the KFC next-door.

came here with my step dad today, food came fast but we paid for 3 dips for 20 p each and didn’t receive any and had to go back for them, we also ordered 2 fantas and a coke and instead got 2 cokes and a Fanta and for the price the meals where like kids meals, burgers are tiny and the chips where very little portion

Very quick service. Stopped on our way to Scotland and large queues for food but service via automated screens and cook time meant waiting time was under 10 minutes which was great. A breakdown on the drinks machine meant soft drinks were bottles which was completely acceptable and welcomed as even with the high customer numbers the drinks were cold so very good service. Restaurant was clean and tidy and social distancing was present. Covid precautions were sanitising stations available and face mask wearing were 90% adhered to by customers.

Absolutely dreadful. I knew I had to wait as there were about 9 orders before me. I didn't expect to wait 20 minutes and have people who ordered after me get their's first. Poorly managed. At one time there were 13 wrapped burgers awaiting action on the rack. By the time mine came it was nearly cold. Tea poured and so stewed undrinkable.

Don't think they could serve any slower, over 20 mins between paying and finally getting order, with only about 8 in front of me. Chips were cold with hardly any salt. Only saving grace was that the burger was nice (only reason not to give them 1 star)

If.i could score 0 I would on way back up the road from being at My head office we pulled into order some food didn't actually notice it closed at 8 so pulled over about 7.45 was in the process off ordering when I realised I left my card in car so my colleague proceed his 9rder he was just finished when I had to wait for another customer to place his order .. then I was half way through ordering and the machine stopped working.. asked the lady as tills and she said we turn then off a 7.55 I said I was in the middle off placing my order she just shrugged her shoulder ..I asked to speak to a manager to basically though machine are switched off I said the can't be as you making the orders literly 2 seconds in from off mine.. so I was well nothing I can do .. so as I'm a manager myself I think it's disgusting behaviour .. your meant to help keep customers not turn them away so I had another 3 hours up the road without any food 5 n half hour drive I could have pulled off further up the road bit I just wanted home next time before you switch your machines off makes sure no one is using them can only imagine if it was a family ordering ...

Dude held me up for 20 minutes on a school trip.

After 4hrs on the road and 4 still to go, two hungry kids in tow, we arrived at lunch time to find a barrier across the door. Staff said they’d be open in 5mins so we waited. Asked again after this had passed to be told “we open in ten minutes”… asked after 15… “we open in about ten minutes”. So we gave up and left. Could do with signs to prevent people wasting time.

Incredibly slow service. Teenagers wandering around with no clue what they were doing. Started 6th on list. After 20 mins got a soggy burger bun and cold fries after presumably sitting on side for ages. Tables were filthy with no serviettes available. If they are short staffed at least leave out a roll and spray so customers can wipe the table!

I must admit Burger king is our takeaway of choice, how this was soon changed by the state of the Scotch Corner restaurant, when i asked a member of staff to clean a table i got rolled eyes and huffs follwed by a half hearted attempt to wipe a table. The food came out and every thing was cold and when looking at the staff they all looked to been teenagers with no appropriate supervision. Shocking service and shocking food. I will travel the extra few miles and eat in Darlington in future

Food was ok one burger was cold and staff didn’t seem to notice we was waiting to order for a while.

When we entered the restaurant, every table was dirty with mist still having waste on them. I queued for quite a while to ask for a table to be cleaned. When my table was cleaned by a employee, the waste food was wiped onto the floor and left, none of the chairs were cleaned so I began cleaning the chairs my self only to find chewing gum on the chair. After getting served we were giving bottles of pop instead of the cup drinks which were much smaller than what we paid for, when I queried thus I got a sarcastic reply of they are better value which is not the case on medium meals never mind the larged meals we bought. I asked for salt, ketchup and mayonnaise only to be told they had none. A very poor service and total let down of a treat for the family.

I usually love Burger King and it had been ages since my last one but I have to say on this occasion I was really disappointed with the whole experience. I waited a long time for my order, when I got it home it was cold (I live 5 minutes away) and it came to £40 for 4 meals, one of those being a kids meal.

Like all big fast food chains, the experience can waver from time to time. This was BK was meant to be, how I remember it in the flagship Leicester Sq. store. All food was served quickly and hot. Polite efficient young man serving and even no problems with the touchscreen ordering system. Excellent, well done. Yes it’s expensive compared to McD, but it’s not McD.

I went to the Burger King at scotch corner on Monday with my mum and dad my mum had Aberdeen Angus burger with chips and a drink of tea and she enjoyed it my dad had a double whopper burger with chips and a drink of tea and he enjoyed it and I had the same has my dad a double whopper meal with chips and onion rings and drink of tea and it was nicest burger kings I have had in a year since I went to the last Burger King in Sheffield on my own and the beef was homemade and the chips was not fatting and tea I had was nice too and I know it was ordering on a digital computer at Burger King at scotch corner like McDonald’s and kfc do it confused my mum abit when she was ordering our meals she had to have separate service tickets to get our meals and I know all the covid rules at the service station and the restaurant at Burger King at scotch corner are well organised to stop people from going two metres apart with them not causing a covid 19 out break and I had a great time

All great as expected. First time in BK for a long time. Was disappointed they no longer do mayonnaise sachets tho.

Stopped for a short break. The self ordering screens take far longer to use, than their verbal equivalent at a drive in for example. We had 2 double cheeseburgers, which were double the price of the golden arches equivalent and half as enjoyable. This service area is easy to get to and not set in an out of the way place, so that cannot be used as an excuse to charge more. Stop ripping people off!

There are two self service points in this place but only one member of staff dealing with the orders coming out., hence slow service and long waiting times. Good directions for socially distancing etc etc but needs to be managed better. Food was hot and tasty.

All ate at Burger King scotch corner New Year’s Day on the way to visiting friends. Made us all ill!!! Took 25 minutes to get our order. Within 4 hours we all had bad stomachs and still suffering now. Staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing either. Has put us off for life.

It's a Burger King, very much like other Burger Kings. If you're hungry and fancy a burger then eat here. I've been here a couple of times stopping off on the way to Lancaster, I've always found it clean with friendly enough staff. It's also away from the rest of the services so it isnt too busy.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Service is absolutely shocking, after waiting 5 minutes to place an order I was told they couldn't take my order. I left, this is supposed to be fast food.

Non of the machines work to order. Stood waiting for nearly 35 minutes at the till. No tables were clear to sit at. Absolute disgrace. And it wasn't even busy.

Got to Burger King to find it full of screaming kids. On their tops it said Edinburgh Diving team. The noise was awful and I am a teaching assistant so I am well used to being in a room full of excited kids but some of these kids were squealing at the top of their voice with the adults with them doing nothing. There must have been 30 kids at least. They took up all the tables with some kids only sitting two to a table when they could have easily all fit on less. The staff did brilliantly serving the adults the food to take to the kids. The adults were really rude and got a cob on when there was one drink missing. They were up and down demanding different things after they had all got their meals with no consideration for the other people in there. The staff would be serving someone else and they would butt in rudely asking for napkins etc Then the kids started throwing the free toys around (luckily they were soft) again the adults with them did nothing. There was one lad especially who was fantastic and deserves real praise. It was a real shame as he and the other staff started getting flack from other customers who had to wait. This was no fault of the staff at all. I am guessing this team just turned up and expected quick service without actually letting Burger King know. Then they all went to the toilet on mass after they had eaten (would have made sense to stagger it really) and the noise in the toilets were unbearable. I should imagine staff and customers alike breathed a sigh of relief when they left. We certainly did.

you get what you pay for. do remember this is a fast food place so it is designed for you to go in order then eat then leave.

It’s not often that I write a review but felt compelled to do so on this occasion having just been to Burger King at Scotch Corner.Burger King you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Where is the logic in only having one member of staff to deal with ALL orders???You have obviously spent money on putting 2 self order service machines in so that customers can place their orders quickly, but why then do you think it’s acceptable for only one staff member to deal with all these orders at the front, on their own?Its simply exploitation and to be quite honest I felt utterly sorry for the poor staff member who was calmly dealing with the customers and he still managed to do this with a smile. It’s safe to say I won’t be buying from here again purely on principal.Burger King it’s simple - YOU HAVE THE MONEY, SO YOU CAN PAY FOR MORE STAFF and guess what? it’s not rocket science - more staff means happier customers, and happy customers bring return business and so the cycle continues...

10.30pm and a complete disgrace. Two others in the shop and staff just standing around with no effort at all in the 40 minutes we were there to tidy up.

This was a nice little burger King to stop off at during a really long journey. Able to use the restrooms and get a bite to eat. The food was good and hot. The service could be quicker but I guess we had longer break from the road because of it. The food was hot and cooked well. My complaint is that there is no refills on the drinks. Many places offer this these days, so disappointed that you can't here, especially with the cost of the food at the services along the motorway. Overall, enjoyed the food in a clean space.
