Really disappointing for the price paid, chips were undercooked and the woman serving seemed irritated.

Whilst the lady behind the counter was lovely and friendly - the food was close on inedible. Medium cod and chips. Never seen so much grease on fish and chips in my life. I walked 4 minutes from the fish & chip shop to my mothers house, time I got there, the paper wrapped around the fish & chips was soaked in grease alway the way through to the outside. The fish batter was raw. It was inedible not that you’d want to eat it as it was oozing grease, it was shiny and wet to touch. The fish inside (once one had scrapped off the batter) was tasteless and had the texture of cotton wool. Must have been frozen and for some time me thinks. Again, a nasty lingering taste of fat coated my mouth after eating it just to make things worse if that were possible. And the chips? One big clump of stuck together bland and very greasy chips.. out of 10, I’d score these a 2. The £8.00 I spent ended up in the bin. I don’t normally leave reviews but when something is this bad, I feel a duty to others to share them from a similar experience. Sorry if this is your business, but if you sell food and charge a fair to high price for it, it’s your duty to make it at least edible. And you didn’t. Many other reviews here saying similar.

Its a fish and chip shop. Traditional style and very good food and customer service. I was doing some work in the area and needed some help. They took the time to assist me despite it being busy. Went back later in the week for another helping. Still top rate.

The worst fish and chips I have ever had. I came back home and the outer part was over cooked and inside raw. I had to cook it all over again. Never will visit again!!! The lady who served me said I will definitely visit them again. lol I will never in my wildest dream would! For Best Fish and Chips, Try one outside the Morden station or Sutton station, they are proper Fish and Chips!

As of December 2023 Roxy's (which we have been visiting since the 1970s) became Punjab Palace. The food is the same, the prices have gone up (vegetable samosas were 40p, are now £1.00) but to be fair they probably needed to. Prices had stayed too cheap for too long. Thankfully that horrible snapping/shouting manager has GONE!!! I used to refer to him as Gnarls Barkey because he was always gnarling and barking at the staff. The menu has expanded and become more like a "normal restaurant" menu. The pricing is still very reasonable though and the food is as good as ever. The tamarind chutney was the highlight, tasting like never before - so fresh and fruity! Glad my favourite Southall eatery has not lost its shine.
