Been to other GBK’s but wasn’t impressed with this one. Food was ok but not great. Place needed a good clean, table and seats sticky. Had to get a passcode from waitress to access their toilets but when I did they were like a badly kept public toilet, really quite rank. Not what you expect in a restaurant

Pedimos nuestras hamburguesas habituales que son la clásica hamburguesa con queso y pollo frito panko.Mi hamburguesa de pollo estaba bien, pero en lugar de una hamburguesa de carne nos dieron una hamburguesa de cordero. Cuando fuimos a quejarme, sentí que estaba equivocado, pero de todos modos cocinaron otra hamburguesa. Sin disculpas, solo me dijeron que debería ser carne de res.

I did not enjoy anything about the disjointed ordering system, paying nearly £40 for some pretty disappointing food or miserable table servers.The only good thing was the San Miguel beer we had - they had run out of our 1st choice.The "blue cheese slaw" would be perfect for anyone that does not like blue cheese.The Lamburgtini burger was ok, particularly if you are allergic to flavour.The sweet potato fries were ok, Nothing special - just ok.Another irritating thing was that the table seemed clean but was sticky to touch - yuk!Finally you are encouraged to order by phone using the app. My windows phone did not seem capable of that, which unfortunately happens with windows mobile, but my friends spunky new android Samsung was unable to run the app as well, so we ended up queueing to order.The place was very busy but I find it hard to imagine why anyone would be coming back a 2nd time..

GBK is my favourite high street restaurant but the Spitalfields GBK was a bit of a disappointment! The restaurant was basically empty (only 6 tables occupied) at 8pm on a Saturday night and the food served was cold or lukewarm at best! It wasn’t terrible but we won’t be rushing back to this GBK!

I ordered here from Uber eats and I paid 5 quid for a salted caramel milkshake that arrived half empty because the top half was just foam...not cool. The burger was good though.

La comida fría tenía que ser devuelta y conseguimos nuestra hamburguesa y estaban completamente crudos. Obviamente, esto tuvo que devolverse junto con las papas fritas y también solicitando la otra que habíamos pedido y que faltaba. Decepcionante como la de Wembley había sido una gran comida.

Burgers in GBK used to be good, you can tell they cut corners now. Bread, poor quality meat. I even doubt they use grass feed cows meat.

Oft sind Burger entweder zu trocken oder mit Soße überladen und man schmeckt das Fleisch nicht. Hier sind Sie genau richtig. Ordentliche Auswahl, zudem kann man bei vielen Burger entscheiden welche Käse man haben will. Pommes super und absolute Empfehlung dazu die Soßen! Kosten zwar extra aber super. Blue chesse Mayo top!. Essen war unglaublich schnell, fast schon zu schnell. Was ich nicht verstehe ist: Burger und Speisekarte wird gebracht, bestellen muss man allerdings an der Theke. Preise nicht zu billig aber vollkommen wert.

She also had a salted caramel milkshake, truffle cheese fries, and a green sallad. I had halloumi bites, and the mango & coconut milkshake. We were both VERY satisfied with all of the food!

For something casual this is the place to be, really interesting choices, I took a chicken satay burger and was nicely surprised. Really good quality for a casual burger!

The food is really tasty but oh my God, the toilets are atrocious. How the local authority allow this I don't know, but it seems to be an all too common problem in British food outlets. Sort your act out GBK management.

Never again!! Food arrived too quick. Not freshly cooked to order. Cold chips and “undercooked” well done burger. Specified plain burger, no salad or relish or mayo, burger arrives smothered in relish. All food replaced without any fuss. Toilets could do with a good scrub.

After a hard day at work we decided to go GBK. I ordered the kiwi burger and skinny fries. The food arrived promptly. I was unhappy with the quality of the beef. Although well done, the meat was dry. But the fries were a delight.

The name says it all, nice gourmet burgers. Fries are a bit expensive for the quantity you get but definitely worth trying the beaconnaise sweet potato fries. My favourite. Many different burgers and options for all types of people and more importantly, nice quality meat. If you have some space left, try the oreo shake - a guilty pleasure!

Friendly staff, nice restaurant layout and the food was amazing they have so many options about 5 different vegetarian options, the service was very quick and the food was delicious, staff were helpful and friendly. It is quite expensive cost over 40 for two of us including drinks, you have to order the sides as the burger comes on its own, I would recommend the truffle cheese fries

With all the amazing places popping up serving a proper gourmet burger this place seems like a fraud. The bun is simple and not nice at all. Seems like the buns you'd buy in the supermarket if you were making them at home. The meat was good (!) I have to say cooked to perfection. Not the same quality that you may find in other actual gourmet places but cooked to perfection. The rest of the ingredients were alright but far from gourmet. A real let-down also were the fries. Seriously, are they from iceland? We had a few different types and they were really tasteless, didn't taste like proper potato chips and I hate leaving food but seriously didn't want to eat these frozen poor quality fries. Overall, I will definitely not come back although the service was good and attentive. If it was called "Burger Kitchen" I'd give it an average but advertising as gourmet burger and serving up "That" made us leave extremely disappointed.

I had a reasonable burger but my partner's fries were cold and the gorgonzola in the description of her "Don" burger seemed to be missing. She was told it was hiding beneath the slice of processed cheese that mysteriously topped the patty. Lo and behold, underneath the plasticky yellow blanket was a small morsel of blue cheese. Were they running out or is this the normal profit maximisation strategy?The bill came to over £50 for two burgers, a side, two drinks and tap water. Wow.

I went here on Sunday afternoon to grab a bite to eat we where shown to our seats and not asked where we would like to sit. A waiter came over and showed us the menu we ordered no problem the burgers came and the food was ok. I went to the toilets and and there was no toilet paper so I went out to ask someone to help the lady looked at me as if I was an alien I said I want to use the toilet and then she went looking for the toilet paper which you can tell she took her time finding and wasn't impressed with me asking her to help me. I wouldn't go back there costumer service is everything to me.

Located within Spitalfields Market. We went late on a Tuesday night and it was pretty empty so service was very quick. Burgers cooked as requested. Great quality and tasty meat. Ample portion of skinny fries too. Sister is a vegetarian and the veggie burger option is excellent. Even the option to go 'naked' - no bread bun!! Served with salad instead. Get the app and you can get rewards, we had a free milkshake which was lovely. Expensive burgers, but worth it.

When we arrived we spoken to from afar and told to seat ourselves. We then had to find our own menus. Ordering the food was as simple as always, it came quite quickly and had no problems with it. Customer service was lacking. The only time we spoke to a member of staff was to order the food and when the food arrived. It wasn't that busy so didn't understand why service was so poor. There weren't any glasses available for water so I had to drink out of the small peanut glasses and keep topping up multiple times!!

Being a Texan living between London and New York, I am often homesick for that genuine casual kindness between strangers: ''How y'all doin?!'' Well they don't say y'all, but they do provide kind and extremely fast service. And the food ... well, God almighty ... even Whataburger is in danger if these folks invade Texas.Listen, I can't vouch for every restaurant they got, but this one here at Spitafields market, right between the ''City of London'' and Shoreditch ... they aint foolin around. ;)

One of the best chicken burgers I have ever had and perhaps the best I've ate in London. I definitely recommend trying it, especially if you love the chicken burgers that are made with actual grilled chicken breast. The skinny fries are very good and they go very very well with their "Hei Hei" salt that you can find on any table.

The Mrs and I had some really tasty burgers and sweet potato fries. It all tasted very fresh. We were attended to by a lovely woman called Sara. She was very friendly and bubbly which made the experience that much better.Definitely coming back for more!

Fantastic atmosphere, service, staff, and incredibly satisfying burgers! I love how you are able to customize your orders as well as the fantastic lunch deal which is a burger and a side for a little over £5! I also love how you pay upfront at the bar so that you don't have to wait on anyone to bring you the bill. I will definitely be back!

I ordered the "Stack Burger"! Wow was it good. The onion rings were cooked perfectly and the choirizo added a bold kick! I really enjoyed the sauce selection and my favorite was the garlic mayo. I can't wait till I'm back in London to try another burger!

We have eaten here several times and not been disappointed. The food is tasty and promptly served. It is frequently busy but the wait to get a seat isn't usually too long. Worth a visit.

Had the Psychodilly Lamb Burger. On paper it had some of my favourite flavour combinations, lamb, beetroot, mint, goats cheese... But unfortunately the burger just lacked flavour. My boyfriend ordered a chicken avocado one which was tasty so in think perhaps it was more a case of poor ordering than bad burgers. Chunky Fries were good.

My first time trying GBK, heard a lot about it..Had a classic chicken burger and I loved it. I can be quite fussy but I had absolutely nothing to worry about. They offer free machine filter water and peanuts which is different.Atmosphere was very calm and relaxed.I would recommend it definantly.

GBK ist eine Burger Kette. Man hat aber nicht unbedingt das Gefühl in einem Fast Food Lokal zu sitzen. Die Bedingung war sehr nett und der Laden sah ordentlich aus. Sie haben hier eine tolle Auswahl an Burgern. Der Burger den ich hatte war sehr lecker. Dazu aß ich schmale Pommes.

Visited a few times over the last couple of months, simply the best burgers in the UK. Sweet potato fries are also a must. Staff also deserve a mention as they are very professional.

I had the falafel burger which was delicious. The sauces and toppings really complimented the falafel so well. I was sad when it was finished! The skinny fries were good although next time I'd probably go for the chunkier option as these were really, really skinny. The truffle cheese fries sound interesting as well! The milkshake was ridiculously good. I got the Oreo milkshake and asked them to add peanut butter which they did (although I can't remember if they charged me for this). It was also served in an ice-cold steel cup which had a nice effect. Overall the cost of my meal was just under £15 which was a bit much. Making the pound I was able to accept the price but I can't imagine coming from other parts of the world and paying the equivalent of 30 dollars for a veggie burger, a tiny portion of chips and a milkshake. It's a bit excessive. I will admit that it was a really good meal though. The price would be my only complaint.

Good food , service good. As I'm celiac the manager took my order and also served it. I was delighted to find they have a separate gluten free menu, they have a no fuss attitude to dietary requirements, it made out dining out a better experience . Food came in a timely manor and staff friendly.

GBK or Byron burger that is the question?Well we settled for GBK because the queue was smaller at GBK than at Byron burger.Being prepared to be disappointed, our expectations were exceeded many times over by the quick service, really polite staff and the intense effort to ensure that everything was going well with our meal. Food was great as well but the staff really were good.

The meal was disgusting , the staff was rude and the service is bad . The restaurant stinks . Don't go to this or any other GBK . Recommended !

I love this place for its variety especially if you don't eat beef or are vegetarian. My personal favourites are the lamb burgers (both the lamb ma Goa and the Persian lamb) and the sweet potato fries with baconnaise. The milk shakes are also awesome, especially the lime one, made with real ice cream you get all the rich goodness. Some folks will disagree with me but I prefer gbk to both byrons and honest burger. They have a lunchtime quick menu which is great value for money.

Visited last week and it was very quiet (Monday) Opted to choose to use the mobile app for the gimmick! Drinks arrived seconds later and burgers were super speedy too! The burgers were absolutely delicious! Can not rate them high enough! Really pleased with the attentive staff too!

Frequent visitors of other branches (Tower Hill & Greenwich). First time at this branch. Ordered and visited the toilet which was filthy - had just decided to skip it and a mouse ran out from the cubicle into the restaurant / kitchen! Told staff who didn't seem overly surprised or concerned. Cancelled order and left.

GBK has a great formula...Chain burger that has lots of quirky names for its dishes, fun options (which are all extra) and before you know it, you've spent at least £12 on a burger & fries before you've even got to their grossly overpriced soft drinks (think £4+ for a milkshake)... £35 for 2 burgers & fries and 2 milkshakes is grossly OTT...the food is actually 8/10 for what it is, but the setting, the drinks, the indifferent service are all very average.The downside of a chain is that the quality in the 1st and 2nd branches are never maintained and the owners get greedy!Plenty of other places to go for a better, cheaper burger in London!

I enjoyed a good trip to GBK. I had the Kiwi burger and fries with a honey comb milkshake which were all excellent! There was a nice atmosphere and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Staff were very nice and service was quick and excellent even though it was a busy Friday at lunch. Burgers and fries were served hot, bread rolls on burgers were fresh and my milkshake was delicious. We have been to other burger places and GBK is always a satisfying experience that beats the others because of quality, value and service.

Remember this is a burger restaurant not fine dining. After being seated you have to go up to counter to order. It was a very busy Friday lunchtime and we hadn't booked and they were good finding a table for eight but we had to be out in the hour which was fine. Food came quick and is served to you at the table. There is free monkey nuts that you can go to get from a barrel and have as many as you want. Large selection of burgers and other typical menu items. I found the service good but not great they all seemed under pressure. However I appreciated them squeezing us in.

I will never go there again, atmosphere was kind of bad, we had all the smell from the kitchen, beer wasn't cold but fries were super cold and stale bread in burger. Don't go!

My experience with the GBK is that you're welcomed warmly and given a table, but that the experience plummets after that:-The toilets are shocking, and disgustingly unhygienic. There was only one open for women - with no toilet roll, and one open for men that doesn't flush and was sickeningly full. When we asked the staff to restock the toilet roll they offered to open another cubicle instead. An hour later, still no toilet roll-The concept is that someone comes to your table to tell you that you need to go and queue to place your order, where the queue is ridiculously slow. If you're a big table and will want to split the bill at the end, you all have to order separately in advance instead. -£34 for burgers, chips and beer for two -The staff aren't familiar with the table numbers, so you watch your meal being traipsed round the restaurant until it's cold-Unappetising, unprofessional and unhygienic. They could learn a lot from other burger chains

Rien de catastrophique, mais surement pas "gourmet". Bun froid. Mon essai d'un burger original, à l'agneau, fut très décevant. Le milkshake essayé par mon fils était en revanche excellent.Les autres convives qui avaient pris des burgers au boeuf ont été un peu plus satisfaits, mais pas au point d'être enthousiasmés. Trop cher pour ce qu'il est, ce restaurant ne m'a pas convaincue, Je n'y reviendrai pas.

I got exactly what I was expecting. Good, speedy, friendly service. Raphella was helpful and friendly. Food was well cooked, tasty and plentiful. And when I asked about allergens (my girlfriend who wasn't with me but suffers from a number of allergies) Raphella could not have been more helpful - this company take their social responsibility very seriously. They have a full, and very detailed menu detailing all the allergens in ALL of their food and drink. If you want silver service waitressing or ultra fine dining, go to one of the big restaurant chains and pay through the nose - GBK...if you're in a town I'm in, I'll certainly be coming back. Der Service war gut und freundlich.Die Burger waren sehr lecker.Insgesamt eine sehr schöne Atmosphäre zu guten Preisen.

GBK used to be one of my favourite burger places, but this one is not as good as it could be.The service is average, it's temperature isn't well maintained and the food is also very average... Come to think of it, it's actually expensive for what you get!

Been to a few GBK's in my time - thought this one was very average. Lunchtime in Spitalfields tends to be very very busy, but this restaurant was quiet so thought I would give it a try. Burger ok,( bun was awful !) - service average - wouldn't rush back.
