I first came across Lingling's when heading for a train, and have eaten there a few times. For me, it tends to be chicken and noodles/rice, plus extra spicy relishes: Mmmm, so tasty, and served in good quantity! What I also found delightful was the fact that Ling Ling, or a member of staff, would find the time to come and say hello. At times it's like a little community there, when I found myself easily and quickly engaged in short conversations with other customers who were eating there.

the food was lovely, the only thing was the prices were a little high for what it was but other than that - amazing! :)

We had a fantastic experience at Baan Thai Street Food , Cambridge and were pleasantly surprised by the authenticity of their Thai food. Being from a Southeast Asian country, I absolutely love Thai cuisine, but it’s rare to find truly authentic Thai flavours in the UK. Many places tend to tone down the spice and boldness to suit European tastes—but not here! We ordered Papasalad (10/10), Pad Thai noodles (9/10), Gin & Tonic, and Thai Milk Tea (both 10/10). Everything was delicious, fresh, and full of flavour. The Pad Thai was well-balanced, not overly sweet, and had just the right texture. The Thai Milk Tea was rich and creamy, just as it should be. The only letdown was the fried rice (5/10). It lacked the depth of flavour we were expecting. However, when we mentioned it to the staff, they were incredibly understanding and even removed it from our final bill—great customer service! Since they took care of it so well, we’re happy to leave it out of the review. In the end, I gave 5 stars ✨🌟—not just because of their amazing hospitality, but also because it’s so rare to find authentic Thai food in the UK. We went in without expecting much, assuming the food might be adjusted to Western tastes, but we were pleasantly surprised. If you’re looking for proper, flavourful Thai food, this is definitely the place to go!

Service was outstanding, really lovely, attentive staff. I went for the first time since I moved here 5 years ago. I think it's because the image deserves a refresh. A lick of paint and a tidy up would make it a lot more inviting. I left feeling I'd eaten too much fried food (had the duck dim sum meal for 2), although there were also some salad dishes. I prefer somewhere else locally but I reckon if there were a refreshed visage I might try again. A friend raved about the place and said it's better in a big group than as just two people! Try the wife cake!

The service was excellent, the young waiter helped us in sharing some appetisers. There is a good selection of stuff to add in your Pho. The Pho at the end is a good, simple a Pho.

Warm welcome, huge menu, more than adequate portion sizes and great food. The small but interesting wine list is well-priced. The staff are knowledgeable and keen to advise. Small criticisms were the mushroom and cauliflower phobia dishes (separate). The mushroom one was very bland and the cauliflower soggy. Bit well worth the visit on a very cold Monday evening
