Ling Hu in Ribble Valley

Never ordered from here before. Couldn’t fault the food. Piping hot and tasty. Ordered BBQ Spare Ribs, Wings, Prawn toast, Chicken chow mein, Rice and Curry Sauce. It was all really nice. The chips are oven chips but still nice.

Previous linghu was lovely. All freshly cooked, good flavour and quality. Now... bland watery food, frozen Iceland spring rolls. Schezuan is just sweet and sour, no garlic or spice like previous owners. The mongolian prawn which the previous owners served was incredible but you have no real specials on the menu. The front of house (lady who lives next door) is slow to take orders, has difficulty with money management or understanding how the systems work. I've been twice since new ownership took over thinking the first time it was just a blip but 4 weeks later they still haven't found their feet. The lady that cooks is lovely and very friendly but it's just not linghu that it once was. I believe the landlords were charging too much during covid and the previous owners had some difficulties and so they have relocated to Manchester I understand. So sad.

Special noodle box oh yes! Friends recommended here, Very good service well polite staff excellent meal would definitely recommend it!

Been going their a few times, love their noodle boxes. Best special fried rice with a special sauces on top, Will go back again!

Ling hu honey and chilli sauce is heaven! We go there every weekend, never let us down.. thank you linghu for the best food!

Cold prawn crackers, Seaweed was over seasoned, over cooked veg in ok veggie dish, chicken curry was just like water!! Hair in my dish too Never go again absolute waste of money and you really need a new front of house!!!! 😡

This was the best Chinese takeaway in town but a change of ownership has put paid to that. The great range of fresh, well cooked & seasoned classics have been replaced by tasteless, gelatinous, substitutes thus ending our weekly trips over past 2 year. Never again - does anyone know where the previous owners have gone?

We have been going to Ling hu for years and have always loved it. I’m not adventurous so always have either special fried rice or special chow mien. We also share mushrooms which are usually garlicky and savoury and delicious. Whatever had happened tonight , I really hope it’s a blip! I got rice which I presume was fried before a bland brown sludgy sauce was put on it which just made it a tasteless claggy mess. There was mixed meat on the top but nothing mixed in with the rice as normal. No sweet hits of pea or savoury char Sui chunks. The meat just tasted of the brown wet sludge which was bland if I’m being generous. The mushrooms were tasteless too. Everyone presumed it was a different Chef but I’m afraid that after nine years of going to Ling Hu for our Chinese food, we won’t be returning. This is really sad and I hope they return to their usual high standard of fresh and exceptional food.

Food here is good, but the service is poor. They are so slow. When you place an order, they usually say 30 minutes (which is fine), but when you get there, it’s never ready. You end up waiting at least another 15 minutes. It would be much better if they told you an accurate timing in the first place. You end up waiting in the shop (which isn’t big) and it’s not the easiest place to park! The chips are frozen - they aren’t the best, but the rest of the food is pretty good, but is a bit more expensive that other Chinese takeaways nearby.

We moved to Clitheroe around 18 months ago and was sad to leave our local Chinese Takeaway behind which was the Kwong Ming. However we stumbled across Ling Hu and I must say that the food has been excellent each and every time we have ordered a take away. If you are reading this review for inspiration and you like Chinese food, you will not be disappointed.

Brilliant selection of food, tasty and large prawns in the prawn dishes. Meant to save half for the day after but are it all. Recommend!

Me and my family are frequent customers whenever they come to visit, and we’ve always been happy with the food and service. The food is delicious; absolutely incredible in fact, and it really is worth the wait. On a less positive note, I visited Ling Hu on the 3rd of March and found it a very different experience. Something had clearly gone a bit wrong. I think perhaps they were a staff member down or maybe something in the kitchen wasn’t working, but it was clear that they were very busy and very behind on their orders. We were order number 2, and it took us around about 75 minutes to get our food. Just as a tip to the Ling Hu staff, it is okay to tell people they’re going to have to wait. However, what really appalled me about this visit was the customers! There was swearing and shouting whilst many unhappy customers were waiting for their food, and the odd “Death Row” joke which was shocking to hear! The customers were rude about the staff and even in front of the staff too, and there was boisterous cheering when people got their order! I am mainly writing this review as an apology! Your food is fantastic and yes the service was a bit poor on this occasion but really the behaviour of some of your customers was a little shocking. I’m really sad but I imagine that I won’t be back for a while.

Had a delicious meal at Ling Hu, it was really tasty! The chicken chow mein was delicious and salt and pepper chips yummy! Bargain too! Great service accompanied

Very tasty food. Doesn't look appealing, but give it a try. I recommend everything. Doesn't disappoint.

The best Chinese Take-away in town, and for miles around. Lovely food made by lovely people. You have got to try it to know!

El personal es amable y el lugar estaba limpio, con una categoría de 5 estrellas. higiene No pre-ordenados pero sólo tuvimos que esperar unos 10 minutos mientras nuestra comida era preparada. Los dos de nosotros tuvimos un entrante y un plato principal, cada uno con algunas galletas saladas de gambas y vino a £26, que parecía razonable. Las raciones fueron muy generosos y bien presentado. Habiendo dicho todo esto, el verdadero sabor de la comida era normalita, que fue una decepción. Sabor es obviamente subjetiva y sólo es nuestra opinión, pero explorando otras opciones la próxima vez que decidir tener una comida para llevar china.

Este es un muy buen llevar, no es un restaurante,pedimos un menú fijo para cuatro, además de un plato de arroz, y verduras. y estaban bastante susceptible a menores alteraciones del menú. Había seis adultos y un niño. La comida estaba lista cuando nos recoge, y lo que era un festín. No me podía creer lo mucho que teníamos comida en la mesa, supongo que si eres joven puedes poner la cantidad de comida, pero tomó un largo tiempo y aún había muchas cosas. Era un festín de noche, creo que fue suficiente para 10 personas

Extensive Chinese Menu and chips, decent portions, decent food, but not outstanding, on street parking, open evenings only, closed Tuesday, no step of note.
