Choi Gan in Ribble Valley

We are so lucky to have this place in Barrow. The food is excellent, so much choice. Take away was very quick and the owner really friendly and welcoming.

This place is excellent. Probably my favourite Chinese and I'm not even vegetarian.

A lovely tasty meal and such friendly & attentive owners. I was worried that I’d really miss having meat with my meal as I’m as far from vegan as you can get. In fact I thought about sneaking leftover turkey in to put in my dinner 😂. I actually loved it though. The substitute ribs were amazing & so was the Singapore vermicelli. Will be going back again very soon

I've been looking for a proper Chinese place where I can have my usual dishes in a vegan format after changing my diet. This hits every single spot. Service was flawless and so nice! Would definitely visit everytime we are around

Such a hidden gem, a must for vegans and non vegans alike. Fantastic food, a firm favourite in our home. Some of our favourites are the Crispy chilli "chicken", special fried rice, anything salt and pepper, "chicken satay" and the "duck" pancakes (everything we've tried has been great). The host is super attentive and friendly, the food is always top notch and the portions are generous. :) We used to drive a 1.5 hour round trip to Manchetser to get a vegan Cantonese, so happy to have such a belter so close to home.

Been meaning to try Choi Gan since moving into the area( 2 years ago!) Really wish we had tried it sooner - quite the find 😊 Vegetarian only dishes with mock meats. Food was superb. If you live in Whalley, Clitheroe or the locale, do give this place a try 👍

Food is incredible! Staff so lovely! Even my meat eating husband said it was the best takeaway he has had. It’s a way away from us but 200% worth it and we will be back 😊

The Choi Gan is a really excellent Chinese, with an interesting and unusual menu that is always delicious: we've never tried anything that wasn't great.

YOU NEED TO GO HERE! Criminally underrated. This place is amazing! The lady who owns it is incredibly friendly. Me and my family have been going here when it was the Chinese restaurant before and I have since gone vegan so it’s excellent to see my favourite place go vegan with me! I don’t come often as my working patterns don’t allow, but when I do I am never disappointed. It’s rare you find this many options for a vegan around this area. Thanks!

Amazing. So much choice and all delicious. Ying was incredibly friendly and advised on dietary restrictions ,she made us feel welcome. The food was efficient but not rushed. Good range of drinks . All very reasonably priced. They do offer takeaway but we opted to sit in and glad we did. X

What a special place. Really can’t recommend enough!! We had such a lovely evening. Ordered the set menu, everything was totally outstanding! Such gorgeous food, all of it. Can’t wait to go back. The owner is just so lovely and was amazing with our little boy, lovely her grandkids were there and they played together was so cute. Really was perfect meal.

This place is truly a little gem in the Ribble Valley! I love everything about this place and I’ve tried so many dishes and they are all so delicious. My favourite place in the Ribble Valley honestly! The owner is absolutely lovely and so so nice. The mock meats are outstanding and any meat eaters that have tried with us have said they can’t believe it’s that good. You can be assured that you will have a delicious meal here and so many different options to choose from with the freedom to be adventurous because you know it’s gonna be great. We sometimes eat in or sometimes takeaway and both are always the same quality. Try this place if you can! A heaven for vegans and for meat eaters too.

Absolutely love this place. Me and my partner moved back from Manchester a few months ago where there were so many vegan options. Whilst we are now more limited in our choices in this area, Choi Gan is better than any of the places we were able to try in the city and so we've been at least every couple of weeks, either as takeaway or to eat in. The best Chinese I've been to! The owner is very kind and attentive and the mock meats are made in the kitchen rather than brought in from outside. I've brought my meat eating friends along with me too and they've all really enjoyed it too, surprised at the quality. I always try to bring someone new along with me as I really think everyone should experience the food. 10/10 from me!

Absolutely delicious food, excellent portion sizes and very friendly staff. We dined in and the atmosphere was lovely, easily the best vegan Cantonese food I have ever had, was nice to go somewhere and be able to have anything off the menu. Highly recommend

This is by far the best Chinese food we’ve ever had. The set menu for 2 was incredible with the crispy duck being a highlight. If it wasn’t advertised you would have no idea it wasn’t meat. The owner was absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Best restaurant experience in a very long time and we will definitely be back many times!

Simply amazing! From Ying’s attentive service to the incredibly delicious food, you will not be disappointed. And you will simply not believe it is vegan. The duck… wow. Tastier than most ‘normal’ duck - seriously! My fiancée and I ordered the set meal priced at £19.95 per person. What a deal! First came the soup (delicious) followed by the duck (incredible). Main courses (we chose crispy ‘beef’ in sweet chilli sauce and ‘chicken’ in black bean. These were honestly nicer than the Chinatown equivalents we frequent. Overall, this was sensational. Will definitely be back to a place so graciously catering for vegans and vegetarians. Ying is a beautiful soul who needs to be protected at all costs. If you have any doubts about vegan cuisine, this place will leave you lost for words! Can’t wait to go back - 5*

Amazing Chinese and the staff are so lovely and friendly. Really refreshing and nice to see a fully vegan/vegetarian Chinese. We absolutely love this place and would only go here now for our takeaways. Great value for money and the food is just superb.

We ordered on Christmas Eve for take away. We had an amazing dinner. You can find vegetarian and vegan options only. We had several fake meat chicken, beef and fish. I was amazed the fish tasted like the real one and even had skin on it. It was really delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for everybody even if you are not following plant based diet.

Tora stuffed mushrooms were like rubber. Food cold, and the warmers on the table made no difference. Five minutes wait between main courses arriving for each person, which didn't help. Only accept cash, but no advanced warning of this upon arrival.

Enjoyed some great takeaway food from here while visiting nearby & some tea & vegan 'prawn' crackers while waiting. Recommended!

DE-LICIOUS! Everything we tried was delicious - personal favourites for us was Taro Toast & the Custard Bao buns. My partner loves meat usually and loved the Mock duck’- winner!

Credit to this restaurant / takeaway for being brave enough to change to a fully vegetarian / vegan menu. However wether you are vegetarian or not the food here needs to be tried cause it’s extremely fresh and full of flavour. Don’t be put off by the meat / fish substitutes the food is excellent.

The BEST vegan Chinese food I've had. Crispy chilli beef, sweet & sour chicken, chow mein noodles, szechuan tofu, salt & pepper sweet potato fries - all delicious. Highly recommend.
