Ling Forest Inn in Mansfield

Nice pub , popped in Saturday when passing with my son , sat outside and enjoyed a drink .

I big mention to pat who did my dad’s funeral buffet, it was up and above our expectations. We all said my dad would have loved being there at the bar with us all , the ling pub was my dad’s local. Warm friendly atmosphere, as soon as we walked in, and nothing was to much trouble We can’t thank you enough Pat .

What can I say about Pat & the staff at the ling!! Always welcoming, always accommodating and always a happy smile when we come in. Been a regular for a few years now and Pat goes above and beyond for everyone. Friday with the private event was beyond what anyone could have imagined for a local pub who doesn't do food. We had a fantastic buffet (which just never ran out) it was fantastic night with great atmosphere as always. Pat really needs the recognition of how hard she works and truly is the heart of The Ling Forest Pub!

What a night for annabel’s 21st birthday!! We had a great night and even better buffet that was done by Pat! The music was fantastic and we couldnt have had a better night! Pat made sure everything was taken care of and ensured we all had the best night! Couldnt ask for a better local!

Called in for the first time as my wife & I were staying overnight in the area. What a pub. A proper local. We were welcomed in by the staff who were so friendly. After acouple of hours we felt like locals. The pub was not doing food but were happy for us to order in. Great beers. Happy Days. Thank you to all the team for a great day. We will be back. Cheers.

Our new local having moved to this area recently, friendly and hard working staff, nice beer at a good price, landlord and landlady seem very nice, went out her way to find me a chair for the euro final,enjoyed the live music nights also.

My local pub, great beer at a good price and friendly locals. You can drink at home, or go and support your local. I prefer the latter. Go and visit them!

I've given 5 stars for food, they don't do food inside but there's a pizza wagon outside and they are really nice. A very well run pub and a friendly atmosphere

Started coming on Mondays after football. 2 quizzes, sticky 13s, a buzzing atmosphere, good drinks selection, sport on the big screen with great hosts and staff. We’ve found our new go to.

First time in the boozer, clean and well organised, staff were fab and the landlord was a cracking gentleman

We had a lovely night when we visited in December. We came back with our friends later in the month to show off the recent refurbishment. The new managers are very hospitable and i really enjoy the decor, menu, music and overall atmosphere. We are looking forward to visiting again soon in the new year.

Our first visit here, made to feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door. The landlord and lady Dave and Ali came over to our table had a chat with us. Will definitely returning after our enjoyable afternoon .

Absolutely spot on, went in for the quiz a few weeks ago, staff were friendly, customers were having a good time, free food at the quiz and the football on. What more do you need.

We have visited you before. Its a very welcoming and friendly pub. that's why we went back. We're we normally go it's bottled Guinness. So to be able to have a pint from draft is heaven to me. As you don't normally get it on draft. The staff were really friendly aswell

First time in this pub, called in with my wife on the way too centre parks for a well earned break, after looking at reviews on the internet we thought this would be a good place for a drink to start our adventure and how wrong was we !! We walked in to a lovely polite young lady working behind the bar rushed off her feet, glasses everywhere and what looked like regular drinkers asking her “why are you on your own” much too our surprise that young girl just carried on working. We had a quick drink and left, I’m in the pub industry myself and was disappointed how some staff can be treated. The pub itself and the location is great the beer was lovely and the staff on the day was very professional even under the pressure. WELL DONE 👏 whoever you are.

This lovely community pub has now got a new landlord and landlady. I personally know them from their previous pub and they are the nicest people you could ever wish to meet. I visited the Ling for the first time last week and it is so clean and welcoming. Anyone visiting this lovely pub won't be dissapointed 😊

Went to Abba tribute night on Saturday 16th. Fantastic night. Very friendly pub staff very helpful and very pleasant. We're made very welcome by staff and regulars. Drinks reasonably priced. We'll worth a visit if you are in the area. Plenty of outside seating and parking spaces.

Brilliant atmosphere although really busy the bar staff were fantastic, had a right laugh with them this is definitely where I’d be spending more of my time

Called in for what was meant to be a quick pint on our way home from a bike ride which quickly turned into 3. The staff were friendly and very welcoming, and the pub has had a little freshen up since our list visit a good few years ago. We will definitely call in again

Went here for a quick drink with my best friend tonight, sat quietly out the way in the corner and did not disturb anyone at all. We then went into the toilet together for us to then have the male owner bashing on the door very aggressively and immediately telling us to leave and that we are barred and are not aloud to finish our drinks, with absolutely no explanation whatsoever. Would not recommend to anyone, atmosphere is rubbish ,whole place needs a good revamp and the landlord is totally out of order and rude. :))

Visiting the area and popped in to the Ling Forest for a drink. We found everyone exceptionally friendly, from the customers, staff and the as we found out, new land lord and lady. We stayed for a couple of games of pool, then sat in the sun, in the huge pub garden for a few beers. Definitely will be returning in the future, as made to feel very welcome.

Always have fun when i visit here and end up staying longer than intended. Brilliant pub.

I always thought I wouldn't like this pub but in reality I really enjoy going now i have tried it. Its definitely a drinkers pub, honestly haven't seen anyone eat there. The decor is old school as you like but maintained well. Lots of lovely regulars and everyone is very welcoming. Give it a try. It even has an interesting history you can ask about (WW2 US military built it I believe)

10 out of 10 for all the bar staff. Firstly they were brilliant at keeping the place clean in a time of covid and taking away glasses. I am not a local and only went in to watch the sport but the staff were really friendly and seemed to have a great relationship with their regulars.

Soft drinks over expensive beer ok tap only £1 .95 for small glass of Blackcurrant &Soda rip off or what.

Beer very poor. I was served a pint of pipe cleaner. Took me 10 minutes to get my money back. Now go to the best pub in Mansfield, Priors Well. What a place!!!!!!
