Looked it up on tripadvisor. Visited at 9am on Wednesday, it was quiet. Ordered a Americano with oat. I had a very cheerful welcome. Took a seat, coffee arrived very promptly and again cheerfully. Coffee was excellent. Overall a great start to the day! Well done!

I’ve been here a couple of times and the bagels are epic with a great different number of options for fillings. The service was also quick both times. This is an undiscovered gem of a place in Reading.

Thoroughly recommend the Twyford shop (not tried the Reading one but I assume the same high standard). Run by a lovely family. Excellent coffee (and I'm fussy) and the bagels are devine!

I was worried because of the few reviews but they are from years ago. This place is brilliant with some of the best coffee I've had in the UK. Amazing family run business.

I often visit Lincoln for a coffee and a bagel if I’m starting work very early - it’s excellent as they’re not only open early, but they’re only just across the street from my office! 9 times out of 10, the coffee is excellent (maybe it’s just one type of bean that I don’t like?).. great coffee and bagels, if a smidge on the pricier side.

Homemade bakery items were awesome. Staff was friendly and helpful. She was willing to break up a cookie for us to taste. The stuffed egg Gouda croissant was delicious. Last but not least, the iced mochas were delicious.

I visit Lincoln daily for a bagel and a coffee, I am never disappointed with the products. Top notch service from Mario and Ana, always helping me to decide which bagel to get! I would fully recommend :)

I don’t usually write reviews, but have bothered to do so because it’s rare you grab coffee and lunch on the go and leave feeling so impressed. Coffee is the best coffee I’ve had. They do amazing toasted bagels with variety of fillings. The service was great, particularly the Manager (I think he was), who could not be more accommodating and polite.. A must go to place!

The place is small, clasic coffee shop, but the coffee is really good. The location is not far from the town Centre, 5 min walk from the Oracle. I like to have flat white and.theirs is s-o creamy but in the same time you can still feel the coffee flavors. I haven't tried their bagles or pastries yet but i m planning to.

Great place to come and eat fresh made bagels, good music and also the coffee is freshly made by professional baristas. Worth coming if you are in Reading.

This coffee House is the best in Reading. The choice is fantastic and they even roast their own beans. I always have hot chocolate and even with this you can choose white , milk or plain.They are very knowledgeable about their product and provide a very friendly personalised service. Everything is prepared with real care.They also have a fantastic choice of bagels, cakes and pastries. You can eat in or out and whilst it is located slightly out of the town opposite Reading Library it is well worth the 2 min walk.

Lovely atmosphere, service was excellent and haven’t had a bagel that good in a while. Coffee was made with care and love. Highly recommended.

Regularly drink here - often getting drinks for the office. It's not in the main shopping area but worth the 1 minute walk to get a local service

£2.75 for a bacon roll with one rasher cut in half in a small bap. This is unacceptable & I won’t be eating there again - extortion

Great coffee and delicious bagels. I had the smoked salmon and cream cheese and my husband had the full english. Really lovely ambience, decor and friendly staff. So pleased we found this place and will be back!!!

The staff at Lincoln are incredibly friendly and attentive. Both the food and coffee are consistently great and reasonably priced. One barista in particular always makes me feel very welcome and pulls consistently great tasting espresso. Certainly one of the best coffee destinations in Reading with great atmosphere, food and drink.

I went first time 2 months ago for an espresso and it was horrible. Today I was around with a friend and I decided to give them a second chance... this time was worst! Both espresso tested like vinegar. Seriously?? Andrea

best coffee in Reading , it is a little gem , staff are excellent , the coffee is amazing . It like one of them secret little coffee houses you normally find in the back streets of soho or down the lanes in Brighton , them little unbeleivable place that tick all the boxes , one fantastic little place

Incredibly delicious real hot chocolate made by staff who have a passion for presenting the very best. Can't fault it. Well worth every single sip. Passion in a cup.

I am originally from Seattle and am somewhat of a coffee snob. I was largely disappointed by the quality I was finding in the UK until I found Lincoln Coffee House. The first thing that you see when you walk into the store is their beautiful Lamborghini yellow La Marzocca machine, it is probably one of the most beautiful models I have ever seen. The staff here is extremely knowledgeable and know how to make a perfect macchiato. Mario has been great ever since my first time. The ownership clearly is very up to date and makes sure that their equipment is the best in the world. I have always been extremely impressed by this place, from coffee to service to food. This is a must stop for coffee lovers in Reading.

This is for the Reading Bridge House cafe. The people there are incredibly friendly and talk to everyone. Their selection of drinks are good and also service is quick. I went down to the cafe for lunch one day with a friend and I've ended up becoming a regular!! I'm not even much of a coffee drinker, but their filtered coffee is amazing! And they've got fruit smoothies and other Iced drinks that are perfect for chilling out (and for summer!)

The staff are always extremely friendly, greeting every customer with a "hello" and a smile. I typically go there for the bagels which a lot of my colleagues agree are amazing! They are made right in front of you and are always fresh! In terms of coffee - I overheard a man last week exclaim it was the best coffee in Reading and I have to agree! Even the decaf is equally as delicious as caffeinated. I don't tend to post reviews often but people need to know about this place. I'd say it's a shame that it's not more in the centre so it could have more exposure but I feel like this is the same reason it feels like such a gem compared to other Reading coffee shops

Just went to get a bite to eat. Been here before so I knew it would be worth the walk on the high heels! They do the best bagels in Reading!! Luigiantonio is nice too! I had the Manhattan bagel (if I'm not wrong) bacon, chicken, avocado and cheese... yummy!! Thank you all and see you soon! All the very best.

We had a great visit to this continental style coffee shop where you choose what kind of chocolate your hot chocolate is made from, how cool is that now I have fallen for the comforting white chocolate hug in a mug, my sophisticated friend went for plain.The bagels looked so good and the staff are very friendly this is a great place.

So nice to see a customer-friendly, quaint and exceptional coffee shop! They are serious when it comes to a good strong coffee, and you can tell they take care with the process on how they make the coffee. Best part are their bagel selections for breakfast and lunch. I always start work the best way when I come here first.

Do take a short walk down from the old Jacksons to drink the best coffee in Reading The sandwiches and snacks are good too

I came in with my girlfriend for hot chocolate and I was surprised to find that you can still recieve exceptional customer service for just two hot drinks. We were delivered glasses of water, a check back to see the quality of our drinks, and a discount to boot! Will definitely be returning.

I purchased a bag of freshly ground coffee today and the service / product were brilliant! The staff were informative and friendly with excellent value for money.

Honestly a great place for boutique coffee in my opinion for reading town centre! Great place, great service and a fantastic coffee! What else can you really ask for. Usually is very quite in the afternoons so don't worry about struggling to sit down!

We like to come here for good coffee but also for tasty bagels. The owners are always super friendly and there are milk options for vegans/lactose-intolerant people as well.

Terrible coffee, overpriced not tasty food, and uncomfortable with no atmosphere. Made worse by the fact it looks nice from outside don't be fooled it's a sham!

I pass by this place quite often and is always closed. The only time I went I had the worst espresso of my life. Plus to pay with card you have to do a purchase of at least 2.50£!

As someone who likes their espresso, I would have to recommend the Lincoln coffee house as one of the very best. Although they don't roast their own, they have made sure they source their beans from a master roaster and prepare the shot with skill and expertise second to none - ground to order and tiger motted to perfection, every single time. If you are looking for a just about average shot, look elsewhere. Having some light geeky coffee reading available whilst enjoying the shot is a nice touch.

Very slow customer service, I was waiting over five minutes despite only one other customer in front of me. When I have ordered a latte and was trying to pay for it by card I was told there is a minimum charge of 3£. I was told I can add a fruit, but this is a coffee shop and I only wanted to buy a coffee! I had to walk away and buy the coffee somewhere else...

Conveniently located on my way to work, this lovely place serves delicious and perfectly brewed cappuccino (perfect even by Italian standard!) A visit to Lincoln Coffee House is now part of my morning routine to have a great start of the day.

In town to visit a nearby exhibition, we checked on TripAdvisor for a suitable lunch stop and came up with Lincoln Coffee House. We could not have made a better choice. Friendly and welcoming, the speciality toasted Bagels were very tasty and well presented. The coffee and a particularly good range of different teas added to our experience. Not far from the Railway Station, we will certainly call again when next in town, Recommended.

Had a very good coffee in this small independent shop. They obviously know what they are doing! Good selection of Bagels. We had the classic and the breakfast bagel, both very nice. Service was also good.

What a great find! Specialty coffee and the best bagels in town; the perfect combo! This is a really nice independent coffee house within easy walking distance of the town. The service is attentive, prompt yet not rushed. Will be returning again, and again, for sure!

A compact but charming coffee house that should not be ignored! Lincoln truly does serve the best coffee in Reading, with obvious knowledge and passion about the sweet, hot stuff, staff are clued up and always put their heart into every cup! I would recommend coupling a coffee with one of their signature bagels which are delicious.

Why would anyone ever consider a large coffee shop chain when this place is so much better. Yes it's small but it's got an atmosphere. The coffee is excellent and the bagels are superb. Staff are great and remember you which makes it nice when you're there with a client. Reading could use another one.

I ordered the rise and shine sesame bagel. The best bagel I have eaten in Reading by a country mile. The coffee is expertly made and is a refreshing change from the coffee chains. For Reading the area prices are slightly expensive. Very warm welcome.

Our local coffee shop is friendly and make fantastic coffee, the Dirty Chai is a must and the pastrami melt bagel is amazing.

I've literally just been to the Lincoln. It has the sort of ambience that you'd find in a Seattle Coffee House but without the attitude! The Manhatten Melt bagel is out of this world, the cappuccino was wonderfully aromatic and full of flavour and expertly made.

Quick visit to grab lunch. Bagel was excellent but a tiny bit pricey, coffee was best I've had in about two years ago. Will def go again

I ordered a salmon bagel and an orange juice. The waitress told me the machine had just been cleaned and she could not make juice anymore. I assumed it was because they were about to close and when I asked, she said they closed at 5pm - and it was 3:30pm! They clearly did not want my money or did not want to work... Otherwise, bagels are very good.

I have been about this city and found that this is the best coffee shop around. They use washed red bourbon for pour over, which is impressive fruity and sweet. As a specialty coffee lovers, I really admire their zeal for coffee and their stability on providing high quality coffee to every consumer.

I popped in for an early morning kick start flat white. It is very much set up as a take-away place, with little seating and little incentive to dwell. No music, quite sterile. Staff were friendly and the flat white was above average, but not exceptional. At £2.60 it didn't seem good value, later I had a better cup elsewhere in town for £2.30! These are London prices!

This place is just great. They have great bagels, great coffee and the people are super nice. I will go here at least once a week from now on.

Was pleasantly surprised to find this place..my Australian roots and love of good coffee and food means I spend quite a bit of time trying to fid the best pace to have a flat white/ piccolo, wherever I am. I had been struggling to find somewhere in Reading until now. The bagels were a real treat too - great combinations of fillings and the dough was so fresh and light. It will definitely become a regular haunt for me now and I would take my purist coffee loving friends to Lincoln Coffee House also. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. I'm just really pleased to have found them...

Took a trip to these guys after reading the reviews. Expertly made latte even if the blend wasn't as rich as I'd have liked. Food looked great and it had plenty of chilled out space to enjoy it.

My fiancé and I had a flat-white today... worst coffee we have had in a long time. Even instant coffee is better than this on average. She took one sip and we left hers on the table.

I had the best chai latte of my life here! Their bagels are delicious and all drinks are fantastic - and the prices are even better! A fantastic, relaxing little place with amazing food and drink at great prices. They really care about the quality of their coffee and their service, and it shows.

It was mine and my friend's first time at Lincoln. I had heard about it from some friends and was eager to try it. The staff were lovely and extremely friendly as soon as you walked in. Coffee was delicious and was even accompanied with the cutest latte art. The staff even gave up a free taster of their Brazilian espresso. It was a great way to chill out after a morning out in town, the decor is lovely and there was such a variety of choices from juices and coffee to bagel. Me and my friend will definitely be coming here again!

My husband and I became regulars of this place. Not only because the coffee is really good, but also because the staff is always kind and friendly, giving the place a homely feeling.

been to this place today for the first time and i can honestly say that i had the best soy macchiato from my entire life, just excellent!

Not being a coffee drinker myself I find it really difficult to find a good quality hot chocolate that doesn't taste too sweet - here there is a choice of dark, milk or white and it is perfect every time. Add to that a yummy bagel it is the perfect lunch! Myself and my partner are now regular customers since we moved to Reading last November and he agrees - and he loves his espressos each time too. Modern and comfy decor and friendly staff make Lincoln a great establishment and we're so pleased we found them!

We popped in here on a whim and were delighted to find great coffee served by people who are passionate, informed and care. And it's an independent which has to be good. If you have struggled to find a decent coffee outside London, then you will be as happy as us to discover this place.

Popped in to grab a coffee and a bagel on my way to work. I can honestly say that latte was one of the best coffees I've ever had. The bagel was freshly toasted as I waited and was a perfect breakfast addition. The shop decor is lovely too. Shame I don't live in Reading to take full advantage of the lovely coffee shop - but I will definitely be back as often as I can.

Coffee and a Breakfast Bagel for the best part of £8.00p was expensive. The staff were very friendly. The presentation good. Not sure about the salad and dressing with my chosen Bagel. With the variety in Reading so vast and no decent view from Kings Road not sure we will return.

I recently came across the Lincoln Coffee House by chance so decided to go in and check it out.

I tend to go here for a latte. By far, I think they have the richest and most balanced coffee in Reading.

What a delight it is to have a coffee shop that is privately run & is not part of the typical multi national chain. A must for all coffee aficionados! I'd recommend this place to everyone who enjoy coffee & a light meal! Their bagels are on par with those found in New York. Cosy, personal,and welcoming see you soon!

What a delight it is to have local coffee shop that's not part of a faceless multi-national chain. I'd recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good coffee and/or a light meal at reasonable prices. Their philosophy seems to be do a few things really well rather than be all things to all people. Fresh coffee made with care and attention to detail; fresh juices and freshly made food. Always a delight going there.

I had a coffee here, and wow! was I impressed! The cappuccino had that great light and creamy taste while just being milk. The sign of a great barrister!
