What a fantastic restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, with a large range of dishes. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and made us very welcome. We were so happy with this restaurant we dined there every evening of our few days holiday. Definitely one to put on your list when you visit Berwick on Tweed.

Food was excellent , prices very good for quality but I’d pay a bit more if they trained their staff properly. Almost too cheap at £21 for a fillet steak Rossini. One or two staff were good but sultry youths with clearly no training “dumping “ food on the table and walking away without a word not good. Baskets of chips placed directly i table, no steak knife - Having to ask for side plates and re ask for drinks ordered unacceptable. Also, ambience needs addressing. Tables too wide, lighting poor and “country rock” music in the background not ideal. Wouldn’t take much to make it a great place to eat as food, drink and pricing is good but customer service and ambience lets it down. Final point - cash only as machines were down yet bar next to it and owned by them worked? Was this an attempt at cutting charges from bank as there was a cash machine outside? Charge a bit more and give better service is my advice for what it’s worth. Looking at previous reviews it’s all about service and not taking cards - seems the owner’s arrogance might be their undoing if they don’t change which is a pity as the one person who seems to know what he’s doing is the chef!!

The food was fabulous, service was terrible! Firstly when saying I’d booked a table, the manager just walked off, back 10 mins later but hadn’t said “I’ll be with you in a minute…”, “Sorry for your wait….”. We sat down then had to ask two people could we order drinks. We ordered a bottle of wine and some water, not a complex order and could see it sat on the bar. We then ordered food which came before the drinks. The food was excellent! We had swordfish and potato skins to start. When the main of surf and turf and limoncello steak came there was no side of veg, the waiter said “veg will be there in a minute” - it never came! I tried to attract attention but staff were walking up and down without looking to the sides. The manager was walking around all of the time but never stopped to ask us (or anyone else that I saw) if everything was ok. I finally caught the attention of the waiter and told him about the veg, he said “I’ll make sure it’s not on the bill”, no apology, very unprofessional. Someone then came and said “Do you want anything else”, I would’ve expected “Would you like a dessert or coffee?….” We got the dessert board and after 15-20 minutes, got fed up, got the bill and went up to pay. I told the manager and said “Sorry I’ll go and tell the team now”. He just wasn’t bothered, it wasn’t just the team, he wasn’t doing his job. The staff we encountered were unprofessional and only 3 of them were pleasant. They could’ve got desserts and cocktails from us but we left due to poor management and service. We would’ve gone back but despite the great food, wouldn’t go again!

This is a brilliant Italian Restaurant in the centre of Berwick. There is a wide selection of dishes on the menu ranging from pizzas, pasta, risotto, meat and fish dishes along with some very tasty desserts, too. They beautifully presented and filling. The portions are larger than you think they are when they are brought to you table. We were so impressed that we dined at this restaurant the 4 days we staying in Berwick. If you're like me; someone who hates curry, spice or garlic as a main flavour, this is the place for you. For me, eating a meal should NOT be a painful experience. Lots of choice and flavours. I had the sea food risotto-gorgeous followed by the lemon cheesecake. The following evening I had the stroganoff with fillet steak followed by carrot cake. Next evening, one of the chicken dishes followed by a white chocolate mouse with a raspberry coulis. The final evening I went for the sea bass (which just melted in the mouth) followed by the white chocolate mouse dessert again. I must also mention the service and the friendliness of the staff. They made you so welcoming and were very engaging. A special shout out to our (personal waiter) Martin. Finally, all the dishes are very reasonably priced. it won't break the bank to enjoy a very enjoyable meal here. I can highly recommend this as place to eat if you're staying in Berwick.

Went here for a Birthday whilst in the area as it was very well rated. We waited quite a while in a long queue upon arrival despite booking a table. One of the party asked for a certain drink which we were told they didn't have yet we seen it in the Bar area whilst queueing. We asked for the Childs Meal to be brought with the Starters, it wasn't, we had to ask a further twice before it appeared. The Starters were just left at the end of the table rather than given to respective persons. The server when giving out the Mains was reaching over people rather than walking around the table which we found very rude indeed. One of the meals was served in a dish with a VERY large chip in it. No Black pepper was offered until we asked, No Garlic Mayo was brought despite asking when we ordered. When we were presented with the Bill this was all mentioned to our server who wasn't the slightest bit interested, no offer of 'would you like to speak to the Manager' absolutely nothing at all. We expected a lot more, overall very disappointed with the quality of both the service, staff attitude and the food.

Waited a hour for my dinner which was a Sunday lamb dinner and I couldn't eat the lamb it was so chewy you couldn't eat it won't be back again.

If you’ve got a gluten allergen or are coeliac don’t go! Our daughter is coeliac and we said multiple times that she is severely poorly with any cross contamination. She had gluten free pasta and when she finished was instantly poorly. Staff didn’t care. Clearly not bothered about any reactions to allergies or intolerances

Absolutely disgusting service from the moment we walked through the door - staff have a serious attitude problem . If you don’t want to provide a service turn the lights off and close the door on the way out ‼️ it’s that simple

We had finished our 5 day Northumberland coastal walk and was looking for somewhere to celebrate .We read the reviews for Limoncello so we were a bit apprehensive . What a wonderful surprise as the food, the service , the ambience were superb. Zoltan our waiter even introduced us to his wife in the kitchen as she was the pasta chef . My husband said his tagliatelle with steak strips in chili was delicious. . A very enjoyable evening finished with some complimentary limoncello !

Lovely setting. Absolutely shocking service. Staff were extremely rude and unenthusiastic. Threw plates down onto table. Did not engage with party. Pizzas were very good. Pasta dishes were mediocre. Did not bring full order. When we asked for dessert menu, we’re told restaurant was closed. Never experienced such poor service ever.

Genuinely wanted our second visit to be better but we left disappointed once again! We were in the town as part of a family break and we all agreed on Italian for lunch. We entered the restaurant without a booking and waited for quite a while to be seated (enough time for my wife to go to the bank to get cash due to the fact a sign was up saying that no card payments could be accepted), multiple staff members walked past and completely ignored us. Once we were seated, our drinks order was taken and we waited around 15 minutes for the waiter to speak to us again when he asked if we were ready to order our food; we were and we ordered. The waiter returned around five minutes later with our drinks. We ordered starters, mains and three course specials. After around a thirty minute wait, our son who didn’t want a starter was becoming agitated as he was hungry so we asked the waiter if our son’s main course could come with our starters. Literally two minutes later, his food arrived and was closely followed by our main courses. No sign of or explanation about the starter. It was us who had to notify the waiter that our starters hadn’t arrived and they followed shortly after. We had ordered a chicken and pasta dish for mains and had ordered a garlic bread to go with them, this didn’t arrive and even after chasing it up, it only arrived once we had finished our main course. The waiter offered an apology at the end of the meal because they’d been busy and a takeaway order of pizzas had stretched their kitchen over the lunch time. A very similar story to our last visit here and a similar cause; seemingly the restaurant is under staffed which results in delays, staff to be stressed and ultimately getting orders very wrong. Would have to think long and hard about returning here.

We reserved a table to celebrate our first wedding anniversary after visiting in 2020. We arrived and waited at least five minutes before any staff acknowledged we were there. We were taken to our table and waited ages before our drinks order was taken and even longer for the drinks to arrive. Our reservation was for 7:30 and we still didn’t have a drink by 8:15pm. Our food came quickly and was pleasant. The bill was brought without us asking and we were told it was cash only, we would have to run over to the cash machine across the street. I have since seen this has been in reviews for quite some time despite them telling us it was a problem that evening. We waited for our change and weren’t given any. A rude waiter told us we would have to go to the bar if we wanted change. They had obviously mad the decision to keep the change as a tip as it was retrieved from the staff tip jar. No acknowledgement at all of it being our anniversary- pointless asking if there is any special requests if there is no mention when you are there. Watched a staff member take Limoncello shots over to his friends though. Won’t be back!!

Starters and mains very good, and value for money. Staff friendly and helpful. Only downside for us was the desserts. Very limited choice and the ice cream was cheap rubbish, not what you would expect at an Italian restaurant. Overall a good value for money and nice food. Would definitely visit again if in the area. Maybe just give desserts a miss.

What a nice restaurant this is all the staff were superb, particularly the Lithuanian lady. I turned up unannounced and it was extremely busy, Valerija made a big effort to slot me in I was so greatful for that. Food was amazing too. Thanks again Valerija your service was second to none.

Booked online and was sent a confirmation. Arrived at restraint - no booking! Waited and was offered a rubbish seat at the door. A very young waiter said “ our” table won’t be long - someone was sitting there, at their starter! He expected us to wait the entire length of their stay. We stayed the door table. Starter was fine and didn’t take too long. Main course was forgotten - after asking a different waitress it arrived fairly quickly but it was obvious to had been waiting for us too!, kind of cool and a bit dry. My wife has been sick ever since (now 12;30 the next day).

A friend recommended this place. We booked weeks in advance as we were going Easter Sunday. Turned up on time for booking, had to wait 40 minutes for a table. The restaurant was full as expected. Ordered drinks then had 20 minutes wait for drinks and then another ten for food order. Three Sunday dinners and a chicken and creamy mushroom dish. All dinners were tepid when they eventually arrived. My wife had ordered beef but was.told 5 minutes before it turned up no beef left so had the chicken. Daughter had belly pork. Cut into it and it was pink now as anyone knows you have to be careful cooking pork. The waitress said Oh it will just be a vein to which I replied I don't care take it away and cook it some more please. A very nice waiter came at this.point and with no problem took it away and replaced the whole dish with a fresh good properly cooked belly pork portion. All in all disappointing experience.

We arrived at the restaurant and was met with a queue, we were both hungry and thought oh no we’ve got a long wait. I checked in and within 5 minutes we were taken to our table. I had to wave to a waiter who came and took our order, first for drinks which arrived in 10 minutes. Our food was then ordered and came within 20 minutes, we were impressed as there were some huge tables in. I had the chicken Roma pasta and my husband had the seafood pasta, we shared a chessy garlic bread. All the food was piping hot and tasted good. I would recommend you book especially on a Sunday as thry have an excellent deal on for Sunday lunch!

Very lively, buzzing atmosphere, perhaps a bit too loud music for some tastes. Friendly welcome, service was relatively quick but the young waiter forgot two requests for Parmesan for my pasta dish. Portions were modest however this was matched by prices with pasta dishes all under £10. Food was OK without being wow.

Visited on a Sunday night im March.Poor service. We waited approx 45 min after our starter and were then asked if we wanted our bill .This was before we had even had our main course.We were not even offered a choice of dessert. They just wanted us out ,as they were obviously finishing up. We went in at 6:30 pm so it wasn't the end of the day when we went in The quality of the sea food pasta, which we both had, was poor and tasted burnt .I also got two mouths of definite animal fat in mine.The bread that went with the garlic mushrooms was burnt and stale.Would not recommend this place .Very disappointed
