Light Of India in Havering

We ordered the Tuesday special but upsized to get the house specialties. Food was excellent as was the service. The waiter spent time explaining the menu ad offering suggestions and being a Tuesday and early in the evening the owner spent some time talking to us and giving a bit of history. I highly recommend this as one of the best I have been to in quite a while.

The meal was of a very high stand. The whole meal was excellent and service was very welcoming. Local food with exceptional value for money

My fiancé and I chose to dine here for a rare evening meal without the children, and we were not disappointed! Abdul and staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating, and the food was gorgeous and so reasonably priced. We were given a drink on the house when we asked for the bill, my partner drove so had a Coke but we were offered a Baileys, Disaronno, whatever we wanted. I had a Baileys which was perfect to finish off our wonderful meal. Really pleased we came and would not hesitate to book again next time we get the chance. Thanks to Abdul and Co for a really lovely evening!

Abdul and the team are so friendly, polite and welcoming when you dine in. The food is stunning and have very had a bad meal. Over the past year with several lockdowns etc, we continued to order Takeaways from them. It was such a pleasure to return to dine in, and once again, we very much enjoyed the meal. Abdul provided the best service and we can not wait to come again.

We have been to Light of India several times and also had numerous takeaways and it has never failed to be absolutely perfect. The food is always amazing and so beautifully presented and plenty of it. The staff and Abdul the owner are very friendly and accommodating and can't do enough for you. There's usually a discount and always a drink or coffee on the house. We were so eager to eat at the reopening on 17th May that we didn't take any photos of the delicious food. It was certainly worth waiting all these months for So happy it's opened again and can't wait for my next meal there Thank you so much Abdul and Co

By far the best Indian in Collier row and Romford - food is always piping hot and stays hot. The prices are reasonable and with lots of competition near by you will not be disappointed. We have been 3 times in the last 5 months and cannot fault it at all.

Gave this place a try after reading some good review on Facebook. Good selection on dishes on the menu and they will cook them to taste on request. I usually go for the same type of curry so I always have something to benchmark against and can say this place was very good. I thought it was very authentic tasting and we will now be regular customers.

Read the reviews of this place so I thought I would try it for a takeout and I’m sorry to say that I was very disappointed, the curry’s were watery and thin and have to say it was not a good food experience I’m not sure how this place has so many good reviews it might just be me but I won’t be going back

First time in the light of India - having been told by many people to give it a go. It did not disappoint, friendly and helpful staff and excellent food, tried something new that was recommended and did not disappoint. Very Covid friendly and also had their own eat out to help out scheme running (through to November). Will be going back very soon.
