What a fantastic little Italian. Delicious pizzas and lovely cocktails, and great value to boot with their happy hour and lunchtime deal. Best pizza in Clapham.

Lievito Madre Pizzeria is an excellent Italian restaurant that serves authentic Italian cuisine. My experience with the Spaghetti Carbonara, Tuna Salad, and Panna Cotta Frutti di Bosco was absolutely fantastic, offering genuine Italian flavors. I must recognize Chef Mirko for his passionate and loving preparation of these dishes. The team at the restaurant is exceptionally kind, polite, and attentive. I unequivocally recommend this Italian restaurant. It absolutely deserves 5 stars.

Very poor service. We arrived excited to try their good looking breakfast menu. It wasn’t particularly busy. We asked for a table by the window which was empty and were told we could moved when it had been cleaned. We sat there for between 10 and 15 minutes after being seated. Nobody came to greet us or take a drinks order Nobody cleaned the window table. Nothing happened Eventually my wife got up to ask for some service. When the waitress came over my wife ordered avocado toast to be told there were no avocados. On a Saturday morning in Clapham?! There are avocados everywhere. How can an Italian restaurant run out of such a staple? And for a vegetarian this seriously limits the choices on the menu. So we got up and left feeling very disappointed by the whole can’t be bothered attitude Won’t be going back any time soon. Which is a shame cos we loved the menu

Delicious food and really good value. The food came swiftly but we didn't feel rushed at all. Our waiter, Jack, was brilliant and made it a fantastic experience.

Jack was an amazing waiter, he made our entire night. My boyfriend is new to London and was blown away with the food and service from this restaurant. Jack was so hospitable and welcoming from the moment we walked in until we left. We ordered two pizzas which were cooked to perfection and unlocked my love for nduja! Thank you Jack and the rest of the team for making our night. Can’t wait to come back.

Placed an order for 16 pizzas for collection before the weekend for lunch on Monday. Turned up to collect them, and the wait staff hadn’t written it down, and only remembered we had ordered them when I reminded them I was there to collect. Obvious the chefs hadn’t been told, but the ‘oh, that’s today’ made it clear some of them had. A real shame cos the restaurant looks lovely, and is probably great to grab a pizza in for dinner, but lack of organisation means you can’t depend on them for a pre order.

Been here a few times now and it’s one of my favourite restaurants in Clapham. Food is great and the staff are friendly. The terrace is great when the sun is out!

I am lost for words at how bad the customer service is at this restaurant. Never ever go here. From start to finish, the experience was terrible. I was invited back as my first experience was so bad - I contacted them and they offered a discount if I wanted to book a table again. The food was better this time, but all the staff got very argumentative about the bill, refusing to give a discount for 3 of us, saying only 2 of us could have the discount. My original booking was for 3 and 4 of us came in again, buying a bottle of wine, cocktails, multiple courses etc, with a bill of £100+ at an otherwise very quiet time for the restaurant (lunchtime service). In the email the manager said ‘Please allow me to make up for this and come for dinner again where you can have 50% off all your food just to say sorry for your disappointing experience.’ It doesn’t matter if there has been a miscommunication - this is the responsibility of the restaurant to fix. All staff members were arguing with me at the front of the restaurant, being rude, dismissive and overall aggressive in front of my friends and other customers. They never once apologised for any miscommunication. In the original email, where I said how bad the food was, the manager responded with ‘we get quite a few complaints about the service’ so obviously this has also been noted by other people. To invite someone back and then give them an even worse experience is certainly ironic. I’ll never return here because of how nasty the staff are and I’d advise anyone else to steer clear. To have to tell the staff that I am not arguing and I just want to pay the bill and for them to keep on berating me is a completely unacceptable way to talk to another person, let alone a customer who had bought in £100+ worth of business at a Friday lunchtime service. It was evidently more important to them to be ‘right’ rather than give a good experience. Avoid avoid avoid!!!

Off the high street, cosy place, Jack was very helpful. Our focaccia came burnt, it should not have left the kitchen. The food lacked salt. We found it a bit pricey. Overall, it was an alright experience.

Amazing service last night, super speedy and the waiters/waitresses were amazing despite the fact it was very busy. Definitely recommend the prawn tagliatelle. Will be back very soon.

It was the best pizza I have had in London and I have been here for 23 years and I came here accidentally....

Casual, family dining. Reasonably priced and extremely delicious. Great service and a lovely outdoor terrace

I really like this place, it’s got a menu that has a balance of lots of choice but the menu isn’t so large that you doubt it’s quality. Everything tastes very fresh, staff are really friendly and tonight we got to enjoy the terrace in this glorious weather ☀️ the prices here are also really fair and all these things make it a good go to place!

Da bravi italiani attratti dal nome del locale ci siamo fatti ispirare e non abbiamo sbagliato. Nella cucina a vista si nascondevano (neanche troppo) i due cuochi italiani che ci hanno preparato due favolose pizze. Consigliatissimo

Our favourite neighbourhood eatery. Great service, delicious pizzas and pastas…all at a fair price. A hidden gem just off the High Street.

Visited for a quick bite on a Friday night before drinks elsewhere. Very attentive and accommodating without reservation. Menu offers a great choice of pasta and pizza at a reasonable price. Plates are presented well and of good quality and taste.

Superb meal. We had a lovely private area at the back of the restaurant. Tastefully decorated. Service was excellent, as were the pizzas. Will definitely return! Thanks for an excellent meal 😎

Delicious pizza and toppings. The base is very nice and well cooked, the toppings very tasty and generous. Good customer services. I will be back!
