Lido Chef in Bath and North East Somerset

Waste of time complaining about food at lido chef radstock had chicken chop suey just chicken and bean sprouts. This is Not chop suey it’s chicken and bean sprouts. The chef or rather cook needs training a complete Rip off pancake roll soggy probably microwaved. Was going to say he should check out Chinese cooking but it’s American (by a chinaman) Still the worst English Chinese takeaway ever had. Will Definitely Not Be Going Again

What has happened at rush hill lido chef Is it new people , new cook …..something definitely not the same the Smokey chow mien now quite bland and it varies different nights .curry sauce set before we got home

Please get more than one phone line due to you can never get through make an order absolutely ridiculous

I like your food, but the fact you don’t double check orders before they go out really let’s you down. On more than one occasion food has been forgotten and I chose lido because they had more variety for me to eat, with my intolerances and you forgot my prawns in my rice! I was so looking forward to it, please double check your orders!

Food arrived on time. No free prawn crackers even though spending £65. Then noticed one dish missing. Phoned and they said they would deliver it. No problem. Sat down to eat and the food was barely warm. Even the family member who ate before anyone else said hers was cold. Phone up got refund for missing dish. Won’t order from again. Worst takeaway ever had

I know it's predominantly a Chinese takeaway but I have their fish & chips (with lots & lots of salt & vinegar!) they are loads cheaper than other locals chippies and MUCH MUCH nicer in my opinion. Staff are friendly too :)

Went in from recommendation from work friends, had a simple English fish and chips, walked in met with friendly smiling young man only to good to help, fish and chips absolutely cooked perfectly not a thing wrong, going back tomorrow for seconds, you deserve all the praise you can have

So having ordered food for myself and family most Weekends for years for delivery I always paid what was asked around £20-£25 each order. No complaints about food usually pretty good occasionally a bad meal although on the whole pretty good. Tonight was only myself and my 8 year old son so had a much smaller order. Called and advised minimum order £10.00. Asked delivery price advised £2.50 The total of my food plus £2.50 delivery came to £12.90. The total I was advised was £13.40. After double checking myself I called up and was advised there was 50p delivery processing fee!!!!!! So they advise delivery £2.50 and add a additional 50p processing fee that in all the years ordering from here I’d never been advised of! Only the fact that I usually place a larger weekly order i had missed this So over the years lido chef has probably conned me out of a load of delivery charge 50p extras I was never told about Absolutely disgraceful how they can add a undisclosed amounts to orders Rang and spoke to owner he gave a explanation 50p goes to delivery driver but still unacceptable that on average ordering once a week over the year I’ve paid £27ish in extra fees and I’ve been using this chinese for years. Honesty is the best policy in my opinion A good customer lost out of principle and unsatisfactory resolution from management

We ordered crispy chilli beef, sweet and sour chicken and duck fried rice. The chicken had barely any sauce on it. I’d maybe call it a light drizzling and there were maybe five pieces of chicken on the portion. The crispy chilli beef was simply deep fried fat with very little chilli and, again, very little sauce. The only good thing was perhaps the duck fried rice. The duck had very little fat on it and was cooked well without being to dry

Last three times we have ordered from here they have got something wrong, missing food, and tonight burnt rice. Not sure how you burn rice but they managed it. Used to be good but have downhill recently and keeps getting worse. Will not be ordering from there again

Best Chinese we have had for a long long time. Food was piping hot when it got delivered All very tasty, nice friendly delivery driver Definitely recommend and we will use this Chinese all the time now

Been using Lido Chef for several years for our takeaway requirements making full use of the fantastic home delivery service. Food is consistently of a high standard and staff are efficient and friendly and prices acceptable... would highly recommend......

Terrible customer service were actually rude to me and wait time astronomical. Food wasn't all that either very Greasy.

Rather greasy fish and chips. I would say judging by the crisp and dry nature of the chips they were left over from lunchtime or possibly the night before. Considering I went to Lido Chef at tea time you would hope for something better. Not great.

Not good tonight, chips looked liked they’d been reheated 3 times and were barely warm, all were tiny, longest about 1.5 inches. Prawn crackers were soft. Just put it down to a bad night, isn’t usually this bad but definitely gone downhill in recent years.

So ordered some food all confirmed, waited 1 hour and 30 mins phoned up to ask how much longer and they hadn't even prepared it asking if we still wanted it! Rubbish customer service and no actual food

Not like it use to be unfortunately. We usually get chips, chicken chow mien, sweet and sour chicken, curry, noodles, pancake roll, rice etc. We have found this now is very greasy and they have changed the batter and its more like a bread type than the normal light fry. If I am honest I have only used here recently due to delivery.

We've been using Lido Chef for all our Chinese takeaways for years. Their food is consistently of a high standard and their delivery service is a godsend after a hard day at work. Friendly staff on the phone and upon delivery. Highly recommended.

I have been going to lido chef for a year now. Today I went in asked them for 2 large chips and curry sauce . Asked the girl behind the counter could I please get then split into 4. As was for kids they wouldn't enjoying sharing. So just asked her to split my chips. How she handle the situation and said they don't do it. Felt really belittled in front of the customers. If the girl wanted me to pay for 2 extra bits of chip paper to split chips I wouldn't have even minded. Would never go back there again or send my kids.

Lovely clean chip shop, have been here many times. Staff friendly and the place is spotless. Worth a visit

Called 4 times in two weeks and only answered the phone once food is great delivery is great but only when were actually able to get someone to answer. Being one of the only local Chinese that take card payments over the phone you must be missing out on so much business. Why is it so hard to get a answer to place an order for delivery? The last 3 times we have ended up going somewhere else purely because of lack of communication from your phone service

Always seems popular never made a mistake on my large orders! Can't go wrong great Chinese and great price!

The foods decent, and well priced. Bit i'd say the last 4 out of 5 times they've not included things in the order or given us the wrong order entirely. Its a shame as the food is good. Just a pain when one of you in a family has got missed out and ir happens time after time.

This takeaway has been around for a very long time and still does not disappoint. Highly recommended.

Can be a bit hit and miss, some nights it can be very good other times not so good.

2l lots of burned dry fried rice. Won't be back. How the hell do you burn rice??? Xxx hot chicken curry good, s/s chicken OK'ish. Get yourself sorted !

Great Chinese takeaway. Value for money , great delivery service, pleasant and helpful staff. Only let down is the chips apart from that no complaints

I've been using Lido for 15 years on and off and I can believe how bad this takeaway has got.

The food was well cooked but it lacked flavour and seasoning. It was well priced but I have had nicer Chinese takeaways.

Seems like lido chef has gone down hill over the past year or so? Very rarely order from here as there seems to be better Chinese takeaways that are just as close to home. Delivery has always been on time.

By far the best Chinese around, we have tried a few others but this one just tastes lovely and fresh, even the vegetables taste like vegetables, we have never had a bad meal from here, even the kids are fans :)

Best Chinese take away in the area. Great value for money. Certainly won't be disappointed. Great that they deliver now. I'm sure that has boosted business for them. Certainly recommend

We are quite regular customers to the Lido in Radstock.. We love the food and it's reasonable. We know how the dishes are created as daughter worked there for many years.. would highly recommend as the best Chinese in the area.

Having just moved to the area I thought I'd try it. I've certainly not been disappointed. And theres a lovely menu of both English and Chinese dishes

Good quality food and great choice of menu Only this is they always seem to be very busy so be prepared to wait when Collecting food

We visited this takeaway due to our normal one being closed for refurbishment. I am so glad we tried it. We had many dishes from the special fried rice, chicken noodles, chicken in satay sauce, spare ribs, kung po chicken, prawn crackers etc.
