Lick Your Fingers in Birmingham

Great place to throw some dice on the seat and grab a bite to eat. The prices are quite affordable, the staff is polite and friendly, the food is prepared fairly quickly, and the quality is decent. Best recommendations.

The service is okay...the food portion is okay for the price of the meal. The food quality is closest to actually eating the same meal in Jamaica that I have experienced here in Birmingham so far. I personally give it a thumbs up on portion sizes

This Restaurant/takeaway was recommend to me by a friend so ordered a medium stew children with rice to take away. The owner was polite and welcoming, I had to wait a little but the food was tasty and well prepared. Slightly on the pricy side in comparison to other Caribbean takeway in the area, however their potions are very generous so you do feel as though you had your monies worth, plus you also get free delivery within a mile radious so well worth a visit.

I have been having lunch at this restaurant for a long time. They are a bunch of friendly people that works hear. I have introduced a lot of my friends and colleagues to this restaurant to have lunch etc. The service is sometimes slow but your guaranteed to gorgeous food.

The quality and genuine aspect of the food here, is unquestionable. I've visited here a few times every year, for the last 3-4 years. The food is cooked to perfection, is authentic Caribbean cuisine, and quantity/value is excellent. The staff who run the place, are also personable and polite. There are tables and chairs that you might find in a traditional (retro?) home's kitchen. This is somewhat in the style of 'back home'. It may look a bit lacklustre to some, but it's authentic and comfortable....and frankly; once you start eating, you'll forget about all that anyways! The clientele seem to be many local regulars, who pop in and strike up friendly conversations with staff and other locals. This isn't like the usual restaurants of the Mailbox for example...but the food and enjoyment of it, is special here. This is one of my favorites, for these reasons. (If you don't know what to order, choose the jerk chicken with rice and peas. I often have a cream soda with it ;) )
