Lichfield Arms Public House in Great Yarmouth

On the hunt for a quality chip shop for my Friday lunch. Based on google reviews I had to try the Dolphin shop for the first time. It is situated on a main road between yarmouths new bridge and the esso on the roundabout, I was in my overgrown work vehicle today, which was duly abandoned on the path for a short period of time as a few other people were doing, as at first glance there is no immediate off road parking. Small shop frontage, but don't be fooled; the sausage and chips was a huge portion that filled the box for a cheap as chips price of £5.50 and clearly freshly cooked. Crisp and piping hot.... well done. The only recommendation I make and couldn't see the staff member at the time was I couldn't find the bin to put my empty sachets into.

We purchased chips which were mostly raw. The staff members were happy to remake the food which was nice for them to do. Staff appeared a bit cold when we let them know the food was raw.

We had a meal, with our dog, and were made to feel most welcome. Staff are lovely and the food is to a very good standard. They even do smaller portions so it's a win win. Brilliant surroundings and very pleasant atmosphere..
