L'ETO in City of London, Westminster

Ha sido una peor experiencia en mi vida desde el bienvenido chico de 50 años (chico asiático). Además, cuando tuvimos pocas preguntas que hacerle sobre pasteles y otras cosas, sentí que era tan grosero y no debería estar trabajando en este tipo de ambiente cuando tienes que dar servicio al cliente. A partir de ese momento dejamos de venir a esa sucursal.

This was our second visit to a L’Eto café in central London. We had such lovely cheesecake the first time that we knew we would have coffee and desserts at the Old Compton branch after lunch. We had a great time in a very pretty place, with yummy cakes again, good coffee and orange juice, great cocktails and particularly friendly service. Thank you, Jeet, for your kindness and sweet smile!

Really disappointed with server. Service was disgusting. Jeffrey Dahmer look alike should be fired expeditiously !!

I found that this particular nice ambience establishment perhaps has a limited menu but with delicious food and mainly tasty cakes, it's very well attended, even if the prices could be a little more expensive, or more cheaper than other places, all deppending of each bugget, I really rather a lot more this brand than the other similar. Thanks to Lara, Maria, Kaja and Rafael. As a place in a very bussy area, for certain times and days of the week, it could be better to make a reservation in advance.

Bad coffee, lousy cakes and high prices. Very disappointed. The cheesecake I got had almost no cheese in it. It was chocolate mouse in a shell so hard I almost cut through the plate. Couldn’t even finish it.

One of our favourite places for tea, coffee and sweet treats! My boyfriend and I often go to the soho branch as it’s our favourite! Staff are lovely and all the treats are 10/10! We are big coffee drinkers but you must try their herbal teas! So delicious, one pot of tea is perfect for two people to share!

Went here with a bunch of friends who wanted to try the milk cake which was made famous by Alia Bhatt 😁 The entrance had a supremely gorgeous display of some artsy looking desserts. The ambience of the place was brilliant. However, I didn’t enjoy even one bit of this trending cake. It was overly sweet, no flavour balance , lack lustre performance by this overhyped cake. I’m still unable to contain my disappointment. It was so unbelievably average. By the powerful display at the entrance, I’m certain there might have been much better tasting dessert. But unfortunately I may not be revisiting again to confirm the same. But having said all of the above, it’s truly up to an individuals taste and liking and their parameters for enjoying a dessert! I’m extremely or rather overly critical when it comes to dessert and unfortunately it didn’t fit the bill for me. But I hope it does for you!! Enjoy :)

I came here after watching the viral Alia Bhatt’s Reel and tried the famous Milk Cake. Oh my god! It was really delicious..👌👌The price range is a bit of expensive but taste was amazing. Must recommend bakery shop in London.

Went here for our 10 year anniversary! The pistachio cake was lovely and the strawberry one! We did request a writing on the cake plate or a candle which I suppose was miscommunicated from one staff to another. My cappuccino was just okay.

Best best best Vanilla milk cake we ever had. 3 days in London and 3 days after lunch dessert was this milk cake. Hope you get it that it needs the attention it deserves

Super good cake, especially the pistachio one. A little expensive around £10 for a slice of cake and the same for tea, but it's still very very good and the tea was excellent Note that we had to pay 13% of tips added automatically at the end, while other places it was between 5/10%

Terrible service, came in and ordered 1 tiramasu and 1 chocolate cake along with a latte. They brought the latte out 10 minutes after ordering then another 15 minutes went past of waiting for the cake and had to ask where it was, they then said they would bring it and after another 5-10 minutes we had to ask again. On the 4th ask i recieved only one of the cakes and was still waiting on tiramasu. Asked for sugar with my latte which they never brought, disappointing from leto, the dubai branches are way better and more attentive. Never coming to a London Leto again.

Lovely atmosphere and beautiful cakes. Excellent service from all staff. Especially Linda who kindly gave my daughter another cake after she ordered a chocolate cake that was quite dark/bitter for her palate. Linda helped her choose another cake for takeaway - made my daughter’s day 🥰

Bad service and poor drink quality

Where do I begin. The waiter was rude and couldn't understand basic English so ordering took about 4 tries to get right. The service was extremely slow despite not being that busy. We had to ask the waiter about 5 times just to get our drinks which he got wrong. By the time we received the correct drinks we had finished our cakes and were getting ready to go. We ordered 4 cakes. We received 3 and A waitress told us rudely we only ordered 3 despite there being 4 of us sat at the table. About 15 minutes later the waiter brings the last cake and throws it on the table with no apology given. The waiter brought us a drink which we didn't order so we sent it back only to find out later that it had been added to the bill! Tried to get some milk for a tea which we had to ask for 6 times before the same Waiter finally brought it over. We asked for the bill about 5 times and had to wait about 30 minutes And to top it all off the waiter had the nerve to add a 25% service charge to the bill which we obviously objected to, only to get a rude and unapologetic response. To sum up service was overall rude slow and totally unacceptable!

For a Valentine’s Day date spot, our experience was a bit average. The food was presented well and tasted delicious vs. However, our specific requests were forgotten and had to be repeated to the staff which was disappointing and embarrassing. As a mushroom lover, I was very sorely disappointed at the single oyster mushroom slice I received — yes, that’s right, not even a whole mushroom, just a slice. 🥺🍄‍🟫 In an effort to be fair, when I checked the online menu, the image matched my meal. But – a single mushroom is not the same thing as a slice of a mushroom. Coffee was weak and a bit mediocre in flavour … my coffee was more bubble bath than latte 😂… but of course, we came for the food and the lovely ambiance.

Famous for the milk cakes , loved every bit of it. I have been here several time yet, love coming back…

We got take away desserts. We loved the pistachio and rose cake, the old traditional chocolate cake and the snickers cake. They were so fresh. We wish you had stores up north. We live in Chester.

If heaven had a dessert place, this café could definitely be one of them. The variety of desserts, cakes, shakes, and drinks was out of this world. I could literally live here and have dessert every single day! Everything we ordered was super delicious. They have two seating areas, and we had to wait to get a spot upstairs, which had even more beautiful decor. Definitely recommend it!

am writing to formally express my deep disappointment regarding the experience I had at your Wardour Street location on February 2, 2025, between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM. What was meant to be a celebratory birthday lunch with my family was entirely overshadowed by the unacceptable and unprofessional conduct of one of your staff members. Upon arrival, my party of four was greeted warmly and seated. Our initial experience with the server taking our food order was pleasant. However, this changed when my sister attempted to order a slice of cake from a waitress with orange hair who was passing by our table. The restaurant was nearly empty, with only a few other tables occupied, yet when my sister politely asked to place an order, the waitress rudely raised her voice, telling her to wait in an unprofessional manner. Despite this abrupt interaction, we remained patient. However, after placing the cake order, the same waitress suddenly and aggressively accused me of filming her while I was merely using my phone to check the best route for our next destination. I calmly clarified that I was not recording her and explained that I was using my phone due to road closures affecting our travel plans. I further reassured her that if I were filming anything, it would be my family, as these were my personal birthday memories, and I had no interest in recording her. To my dismay, this completely baseless accusation did not end there. The waitress eventually brought the cake, but failed to provide cutlery, forcing my sister to get up and retrieve it herself after an unnecessary delay. As we attempted to salvage what remained of our meal, the same waitress returned once again, interrupting our time to demand that I delete footage that did not exist. This intrusion was entirely unprovoked and amounted to harassment. At this point, I was astounded by the erratic behavior of this staff member and questioned whether she was experiencing a personal crisis or was under the influence of substances, as her conduct was not rational or professional. Once again, I reiterated that I had no video of her and firmly asked her to leave us alone. Instead of de-escalating the situation, she returned moments later with the manager, who did not even inquire about the situation from my perspective but instead blindly demanded that I delete a non-existent video. This level of incompetence and unprofessionalism was beyond unacceptable. A £90 meal that was meant to be a dignified and enjoyable birthday experience instead turned into a distressing ordeal of false accusations and harassment. To make matters worse, the bill was presented with a service charge still included, which I had to manually remove myself—a final insult after the mistreatment we endured.

Great food. I had the shakshouka with halloumi cheese. Was excellent. Coffee was great. My wife had the omelette and loved it. Great pastries. Service was impeccable

A local person commented that it was very delicious and very expensive. I stopped by this place with the thought, “No matter how expensive the dessert is, how much can it be?” When I went in, the interior and the tarts on display were so pretty that it was great to take pictures. I ordered apple pie, honey cake, and tiramisu, and they all cost 9 to 10 pounds. The apple pie was tart but pretty, the honey cake had a nice combination of subtle sweetness and nuts, and the tiramisu was a familiar taste but with a luxurious sweetness. Perhaps because it is an Arab-run chain, the prices are Dubai-esque. Haha, it was still delicious so I liked it.
