Amazing people running this business. Very good food, prepared with passion and absolutely was meeting my culinary expectations. Gooood job guys.

We found this gem of a place when looking for somewhere not too busy to eat with a tired five year old on a rainy Friday evening at the start of Edinburgh Fringe. The cafe was quiet but the menu looked fab and we liked the look of the place so we thought we'd give it a go. We had a lovely, friendly welcome and were able to choose where to sit. The children each had a chicken club wrap and we had the chicken Balmoral panini with haggis. The food was incredible! Both the wraps and the paninis were really well filled and they tasted amazing too and were well priced! It's just a shame we don't live closer so we could visit more often (although our waistlines are probably appreciative of that fact!)

I came in here with family for a quick lunch and was one of the best meals I've had in Manchester. Great food with quick service and a brilliant atmosphere with the music I definitely recommend to anyone who is in Edinburgh for the day.

Welcomed here with such friendly staff, super cosy atmosphere. Food was veggie/vegan friendly, really good flavours, combos and sizes at amazing prices. Super happy with finding this place!

Had a lovely experience at Let Me Eat. Plenty of choices, for very fair prices. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options but also meat available. Very relearn atmosphere even when it’s busy.

I was just curious about the taste of the famous Scotish haggis before I got attracted by the name of this little cafe. To my surprise, it has haggis too! Different from a normal dish, this place has haggis wrap and haggis panini at lunchtime. Tried the panini. Haggis was a bit too salty for me but I guess that's the way it is supposed to be. Huge portion, reasonbale price and nice catering. I love Edinburgh and definitely will come back one day.

We have visited just yesterday. Because we were hungry and looking for some nice bites we saw this place, decided to go inside and... we’ll be back definitely! Small, nice place with a few tables and very nice service. Paninis were amazing!!! I had one with grilled vegetables and pesto and my daughter with tuna and both were amazing. We will definitely be back when next time in Edinburgh! Thank you :)

Found this great wee place because just up the street where we're staying for the week. My daughter & I had a panini each mine was lovely- chicken, pesto & mozarrella & also a small chicken noodle soup. All for £10 great value & they filled us up for the day. Plan on going back before we leave great wee place & not touristy.

The falafel sandwich is quite good. There seem to be a lot of chicken options, but not as much vegetarian options. The sandwiches are reasonably priced. The music is loud and trendy. The staff are very friendly. They now take cards which is also good. They are too napkinny and give you about five napkins per sandwich!

Had lunch here last week (a Friday). Busy but not over so. Got a couple of freshly made sandwiches to eat on one of the tables outside in the sun. Mediocre quality at best I would say, and expensive for what was a couple of fairly plain cheese sandwiches. Staff nice and friendly but would not hurry back.

Great choices of super fresh wraps, ideal food to eat on the move. All comes with good service and good prices!

I walked in to the shop en route home from work to pick up some lunch and found four members of staff standing about doing nothing. You'd think then that they'd be eager to serve a customer. No, they all looked at each other until one of them finally took my order. A simple order...or so you'd think. "Can I have a panini with only cajun chicken and mozzarella please?" I left the shop and took the panini home where I discovered that the panini also contained peppers and jalapenos *SIGH* Turns out that it was easy enough to pick them off though because there was so much filling in the panini that it hadn't toasted properly and most of the cheese was therefore unmelted and 70% of the cajun chicken was cold. Let Me Eat boast they have "the biggest panini ever." Personally, I'd rather have quality over quantity and to be served by staff who actually want my custom.

This is a great little food outlet. There is a choice of about 6 soups a day. Never had a bad one yet. Always tasty and packed full meat/ veg, never watery. The sandwich/ panini/ salad box choice is extensive. These are also great portion sizes and some lovely home bakes. Inside and Outside there are a couple of chairs but this is largely takeaway. Staff are helpful and the tunes always good. Worth checking out. I have never been disappointed.

Always lovely and fresh prepared food, the menu changes everyday, and there is loads of soups and Sandwiches. Highly recommend- also very cheap!!

A great find quirky seating created from crates. A bit tight but great atmosphere. Amazing panini huge fillings and great value. We had haggis, coronation chicken and pesto chicken.Didn't have the soup but looked amazing. Turn around is pretty quick so if full worth waiting for. Decent coffee as well.

My wife and I tried this restaurant on our last day of a 3 day trip to Edinburgh. Situated close to both Dynamic Earth, Holyrood and the Royal Mile.

I had a delicious panini there yesterday, which was very very filling! I then ordered a drink and was given a free chocolate brownie, which was also very yummy! Was also very reasonably priced, served quickly and the staff were friendly. A few indoor seats and a couple outside in the sun overlooking Arthur's Seat. Would definitely go recommend!

I was a frequent visitor during my short course on the University's Paterson's Land campus. Plenty of choices of paninis, wraps and soups, each with very, very generous filling every single time. My favourites are the roasted veg wrap and smoked salmon wrap. This is one of the things I miss most about studying at Paterson's Land.

Popped in for a late breakfast and was pretty surprised at how rude and condescending the staff member was. No need for it at all! The food would have been fine if not for the horrible atmosphere.

I was staying at the Macdonald Holyrood Hotel close by and didn't want to spend £17.50 on the hotel breakfast - so popped in here. Now, black coffee and brie and spinach toastie might be an unusual breakfast, but the coffee was hot and tasted good, and the toastie was first rate. Oh, and it cost £3.50, Total. Really, there's nothing not to like here.

Let Me Eat is a happy place, where you can get freshly prepared sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, coffees and other small meals. The service is great and the people who work there are very passionate about their work and their food - always very open and warm. The place itself is quite small, somehow cosy and funky music is playing, which I personally liked a lot. We popped in here for brunch and we are so glad we did! Delicious selection of soups, salads and wraps! It was hard to choose! We ordered tge leek and potato soup and butternut squash and sweet potato soup. Portions were generous, fresh and delicious! It came with exquisite fresh soft bread. It seems a popular college spot. There were three delightful girls behind the counter who were friendly, helpful and quick. It is cozy and warm with a jazzy squirrel nut zippers vibe. We were very pleased with our service, food, atmosphere, and value. It is more of a take away place. Only one couch for sitting. We loved our experience!!

Very small place. Cash only!£Lots of fresh healthy food. A take away/"to go" place. They only have one small table. It is very crowded with locals. A good sign that they have great food. I had the daily special, turkey tacos. Very good but messy. My kids had the panini , very good. Lots to offer with soups and salads and sandwiches.

I frequently get my lunch from Let Me Eat as I work nearby. The food is always excellent, tasty and fulfilling. The menu is varied and the daily specials are imaginative. The tacos are a particular favourite, but today I tried the special "French Style" Wrap and have to say in all the years it is by far the best thing they have created. I hope they add it to the regular menu as it was joyously delicious - not something you'd expect from a small sandwich shop. Great food, good prices and wonderful staff.

This is a great little walk-in, takeout for soups, wraps, and salads with prices that just can't be beat.Most items under $5. It is virtually across the street from the Scottish Parliament, and a brief walk to the Queen\s Park and Holyrood Palace. Everything we had there was great, but we were particularly fond of the imaginative salads, particularly one with pear, blue cheese, nuts and bacon - no light sprinkle of blue cheese here - this was a salad for a serious blue cheese lover. Salads come in medium and large, after a first large one I went for medium. Great soups too. There are a couple of sofas and chairs inside, but this is primarily for takeout or a quick cup of coffee. A couple of tables outside where, if they are available, you can sit and watch the tourists at the Scottish Parliament or count the walkers en route to Arthur's Seat. Great for a hot or cold drink of sandwich if you just came down from selfsame Arthur's seat. We found it particularly handy to the Holyrood Aparthotel where we were staying, literally a five minute walk down a lane and some steps and just a few doors down from the Tesco...

Since recently discovering this little gem I can't stay away! The range of wraps is great the service is quick and the staff are great. The wraps are great value and packed with fillings! You must try this place. Top tip - make sure you check out the specials!!!

While staying at a hotel down the street I stopped in here to grab something for breakfast. The bacon roll was about £1.60 and had a good quantity of bacon on a soft delicious roll. Best deal I found in all of Scotland!

I have lived really close to Let Me Eat for about a year now and can't imagine how many wraps, paninis, soups and salads I've eaten over the course of the year. When you walk in, the staff could not be more friendly and the music they're playing always sets a really fun and relaxed vibe. They greet you in front of the counter and are always more than helpful when it comes to answering questions or guiding you around the menu. I can proudly say I've had almost all of the paninis/wraps and they are all amazing. The highlights: my personal favorite is the cajun chicken panini. Spiced chicken, cheese, peppers and jalapenos-it's excellent and really packs a punch. The bacon, brie and cranberry panini is as if they found a way to put Christmas into a panini-it so SO good. I also love the pepperoni and salami panini-simple, but delicious. You really can't go wrong, it just depends on what you're in the mood for. The salads are also delicious and the Caesar is so packed with bacon and chicken that it will leave you fuller than you could've imagined. The soups change on a daily basis and are always dependable. I love the chicken noodle, but whenever they put an Asian-style soup on the menu, be sure to grab one-they're always my favorites. As if all of this isn't enough, it's all really affordable. £3.25 for a panini, £2.95 for a soup and similar prices for the salads. If you're in the area, this is the best tasting and best value lunch in the entire city. You'll get in and out in no time and leave very satisfied.

Tiny place with great coffee and the bacon roll was just right. Would absolutely try this place for lunch and come back for breakfast.

Let Me Eat is a great place for lunchtime rolls, wraps, paninis and salads. Run by two Polish guys, the staff are always friendly and helpful and service is efficient. You start off by choosing which type of roll you want from an amazing selection - then the most difficult part - which filling you fancy from the fantastic and definitely not run-of-the-mill menu. You can also have wraps or the massive paninis! They also do great salad boxes as well as some lovely traybakes and brownies. There's also a good selection of fresh soups every days - at least four, and you get some lovely fresh bread to go with it too. Oh, and they make pretty good coffee as well!
