Personale molto gentile, prezzi giusti. Consigliatissimo!

Not good. The woman serving was just a bit... officious; rushing us to order a drink while we chose what to eat. It was cold - the door was wide open. I sat with my coat on for a bit, then asked for the door to be closed, and it was. 15 minutes later, it's wedged open again and a chilly blast makes me want to put my coat back on. "Can we have the door closed again, please?" "It's too hot in the kitchen and there's no ventilation in there." So the staff's needs take precedence over the comfort of customers. Nice. Then, after our breakfast roll, scone and SECOND coffees, "We need the table back." No hint of, "do you mind?" or "I'm sorry but..." And this is a different woman, so officious seems to be the way of it. There's a note on the menu about laptops, saying, when it's busy they'll limit your time to an hour. We had no laptops. We had joyous conversation, yet still, our time was up - even though there were tables available and no queue. The rear seating area wasn't being used. There was plenty room, but no... we'd gone over the allotted hour, so we were dispatched. The bacon roll was mighty; the decaf coffee insipid. If you're happy eat quickly - and with your coat on, you'll enjoy it. We weren't... and didn't.

Absolutely delicious, total gem of a spot. Coffee, food and staff are all glorious. I had the porridge, it was so creamy and they let me have 'half and half' toppings (there are 2 choices and I couldn't decide) it was so delicious. Will definitely be back.

I remember visiting this cafe several years ago, and decided to pay it an overdue visit for a relaxing solo lunch. It was just as good as I remembered. The staff were very welcoming and very attentive, and the food was very tasty. I had home made carrot soup, which was truly the best carrot soup I'd had, and a lovely chicken sandwich with a side salad. The portions are very generous, the sandwich was fresh, fully loaded, and very very tasty. And of course coffee, which is always excellent there. Will be back soon!

It’s a great shame I cannot say anything good about my lunch on Tuesday 9th January. The pulled pork was incredibly tough virtually unchewable, the gluten free bread was not fresh or buttered and the salad which was the only edible food on the plate was thrown on in a off hand manner even though it wasn’t busy in the cafe. With rather cold coffee the only one who enjoyed the lunch was my dog. I was asked if I enjoyed my lunch and I did honestly reply and was still charged full price with no apology. Will not return.

My wife and I went here yesterday. We thought it was a nice little cafe. Service was good and so was the food. My wife got a white hot chocolate which was quite unique because had white chocolate on a stick. It tasted pretty good. I got the homemade chai which was also quite different because it was milky and had a pot of honey on the side. I enjoyed it. For food my wife got poached eggs on breakfast muffins which she very tasty. Eggs were cooked were cooked spot on. However, my wife thought bacon was a little over cooked. I was greedy and got the banana bread with berries and mascarpone and I got the almond bostock special. I enjoyed both. Nice flavours and a bit different. The service was pretty good and the staff were friendly. We got a brownie and flapjack to take away. Brownie was nice and flapjack was ok. Overall everything was good but probably not warrant a 5 stars.

Went in just before 10 past two (50 minutes before advertised closing time on the door) to be met by someone sweeping the floor and directing us to one of the two tables for two which “were the only ones available because we’re closing soon” There was only one other customer with multiple larger tables free. “it’s coffee and cakes only because we shut in half an hour” We left immediately and went to Archipelago on Dundas Street where we were warmly welcomed and well fed and watered (coffeed) Leo, it’s a tough market out there for cafés, time to get some staff training and customer focus before you join the ranks of the also rans and non finishers. If you close at three then that’s when the brushes and mops should come out rather than 3 being the time at which staff can put on their coats and go.

Living close by to Leo's my family and I are regular customers. The food and coffee is consistently good along with the lovely homely setting. However, on the few occasions I have visited recently I have been disappointed by the service. There is one particular server (Australian accent) who has been rude and blunt towards my family and myself on the recent occasions we have visited- it just doesn't give the impression of the place I have always had in the past. A friend and I ate at Leo’s recently for lunch and we were not impressed by the sandwiches we ordered. The vegetable filling was tasty albeit not generous. What was truly disappointing was the bread, firstly the bread was meant to be sourdough, it certainly was not and the commercial sliced brown bread was dry and stale. With so many fabulous bakeries in the area it is a crime not to have good fresh bread for a sandwich especially at the prices that they charge. We won’t be eating lunch there again.

I have been to Leo’s several times and have always thoroughly enjoyed it. I am gluten free and have always been very impressed. I ordered eggs Benedict on gluten free bread and it came de-constructed this time which has never happened before. Completely separate components so dry cold toast on a plate, a pot of butter, some bacon, a jar of hollandaise sauce and two poached eggs on another plate. I’ve always enjoyed eating here before as they were reliable for gluten free but it’s disappointing to pay £13 for eggs Benedict and a coffee and you have to make it yourself.

Have had a late breakfast here a few times and the experience often comes down to how busy they are. The atmosphere through the back is a little flat compared to tables at the front. There are signs telling you to order at the desk but when you go to order you’re told to sit down because it’s table service, which is a little annoying. Coffee was good and the food was actually beautiful - healthy and fresh ingredients and most definitely filling. The only thing I would say is that it was pricey for what it was compared to other cafes in the area. A charming cafe with friendly staff. The porridge is excellent, not sweetened, but sweetened with fruit compote or nuts and seeds. The salmon bagel is tasty. Their coffee is worth having more than one cup of!

I've been meaning to visit Leo's Beanery for over a year now and finally made it at the weekend. The food was excellent and the service was attentive.

Very echo-y very hard to hear each other talk. They ended up shutting the door on us, so we didn’t disturb the rest of the tables, could have checked led back on us more.

A basement cafe in Howe St. Very busy by 10:30 on a Sunday morning which is not surprising given the warranted good ratings on trip advisor. The croque-mon-scone and the corn fritter, bacon, avocado, spinach, tomato and lemon creme fraiche special we had for breakfast were both excellent. Very friendly service too.

We went for breakfast & we were delighted with the healthier options on the menu. The food was delicious & the portion sizes were perfect. The premises is small but that wouldn’t stop me going back as the breakfast was that good.

I visited recently. The coffee was amazing, the bartender was Greek so the second ones we go them cold and takeaway to continue with our sightseeing. We also had an orange cake and ... don't remember the rest. The staff was really nice too. If you are like me looking for quality espresso you should definitely visit it.

This welcoming space was across the street from our hotel. Although service was on the slower side, it was made to order and very good. The restaurant was light and clean and a perfect place for a leisurely breakfast.
