Nice but a bit too many tourists

We came for the all you can eat dim sum offer with Time Out, and the xiao long baos were fantastic at this place! The skin was fresh and thin, can tell they're hand made, inside bursting with delicious soup. Their char siu bao were phenomenal too super fluffy and full of meat. Cheung fun is also worth a mention- fresh and slightly chewy, really great! The rest of the dim sum was fab too, but these were the ones that stood out to us. The waiters were attentive and friendly, service was super fast for a dim sum place. Usually dim sum restaurants would have u waiting 20mins or more for steamed items, but they came out at super speed- maybe 10mins. The place had very interesting decor, like you went back in time- with some ancient weapon pieces around, and the main menu looked like a newspaper. The menu was slightly limited, and didn't have a lot of dim sum classics. But would 100% go back for just the 3 I highlighted above.

We went to Leong's for the Time Out bottomless dimsum deal. There is an endless choice of dumplings and buns - steamed, grilled, veggie, meat and fish. They arrived at our table very quickly. All were delicious. The deal came with a choice of any free drink. Beautiful restaurant and lovely ambience. Very kind servers. Absolutely recommend!

The female boss is super kind and the male employees are so-so,,, but the food is just so-so. I cried eating here. The beef noodle soup is so delicious and you can order egg fried rice and wontons and pour the wonton sauce on the egg fried rice. I understand why the store is called Legend. I wanted to go again but she said she had to go home so I couldn't go again ㅠ If you tell me to come back to England next time, I'll go again ㅠ Highly recommended. Koreans who are tired of chips, gather around.

Great experience. Really delicious food with good options for pescatarians. Service was friendly and prompt and the vibes were upbeat. Would definitely return and recommend. 9/10

This is my usual dim sum spot. It’s so good that I have been back too many times.

The food wasn’t great, the service was bad, I asked simple questions about the beers, the male waiter seemed uninterested and fed up, we bought a deal and paid for it and we asked to take the rest in a box, they said they don’t do that then the female waitress asked for a service charge of £11 on top and she asked me & my friend to pay for the leftover food (that we already paid for?) she said they charge for food that’s unfinished ?? I never heard of such thing before, I paid for my food and been asked to pay for my unfinished food on top ???

At 1st the male waiter seemed fed up and uninterested in my little questions about the drinks, then when we came to pay we asked if we can take the remaining food in a take away box, they said they don’t do such thing, then they asked us to pay for the remaining food 😳 so we paid for our food but we had to pay more for the unfinished food? That was very bizarre and unheard of and the hygiene didn’t seem good. I won’t be going there again, I don’t recommend this place

This could be a really great place; the food is delicious, the atmosphere authentic. However, the portions are tiny, which can't be said for the price. The beef ribs come without a side dish, which of course you pay extra for. My meal had more bones than meat. Totally disappointing. The worst part, however, is the 15% service charge, which only appears as a side note on the menu. They could have easily deducted a 15% flat rate from the total price for the service; the service was totally unfriendly.

I had a big bowl of beef noodles in London Chinatown. The group purchase meal for two on buymeego is really a good deal! You can also choose Taiwanese braised pork rice and red oil wonton for only 38 pounds for two people.

Lovely experience at Leongs Legend! They definitely deserve better reviews. I like the Dim Sum, food was delicious and I have no complaint. It can get quite busy during weekends since it is in the middle of China Town. In general, the staff are friendly and helpful, food is good, and reasonably priced! I would definitely return!

Ellen recommended the tree cup chicken which is absolutely fantastic - a wonderful experience phenomenal service. She showed us. How to use chopsticks - j will come back the next time we’re in London - five stars.

Great experience all around! Really nice, thoughtful service by our waitress. Food was great, we felt lucky to have found this spot (pictured, with labels) We also got some drinks - shandy beer, soy milk with pandan jelly. And ended with some hot jasmine tea - the perfect end cap.

It’s such a blessing to be able to drink warm boiled water and eat familiar Asian dishes in Europe! The price is reasonable, the taste and texture are very good, and the clerk can communicate in Chinese, which makes people feel very relaxed. The store is lively but not noisy.

Extremely concerned about the possible exploitation of staff at this restaurant. We were asked if we would like to tip the wait staff when paying the bill. I pointed out a discretionary service charge had already been automatically added and included in the total. The waitress then said that this money does not actually go to the staff and that the restaurant management are keeping the service charge paid by diners. This is illegal in the UK as of the 1st October 2024. If you must dine here, make sure you have the service charge removed from the bill and tip the wait staff separately if you want to.

The hot pot pork is delicious. There’s no way you’d finish the hot pot with two people.

The Xiao Long Bao here is absolutely divine—delicately crafted with a flavorful, rich broth inside that bursts with every bite. Every other dish we ordered was equally delightful, especially the braised pork belly, which was incredibly tender and infused with the most aromatic and comforting spices. While I can’t quite remember the exact name of the dish, the flavors were truly memorable. The overall experience was satisfying and heartwarming—perfect for anyone craving comforting, authentic flavors in a cozy and welcoming setting.

I recently visited this restaurant today for the dim sum buffet, and while the food was absolutely amazing – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented – the service, unfortunately, left a lot to be desired. As it was our first time dining here, we weren’t sure about the ordering process for the second round of dim sum. We politely asked a staff member (a lady with glasses and a ponytail) whether we should use the same order sheet, but her response was dismissive and rude. She made us feel uncomfortable for simply asking a question, and her attitude throughout the service was unprofessional and unwelcoming. Towards the end of our meal, we inquired about whether the service charge was optional – something we had clarified via email before making the reservation and purchasing our vouchers. Her reaction was completely inappropriate and condescending, implying that we were trying to avoid paying, which was not the case at all. We were simply checking, as advised. It’s a shame because the food really was excellent, but the poor service significantly took away from the overall experience. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and provides better training for their staff in customer service.

Yes, it may be a little more expensive than elsewhere. But it was also good all around. The last time I ate such good dumplings was in Shanghai.

If you are interested in trying different types of dumpings, I would recommend this place. All dumplings are steamed and served in the basket. I had the meal course, which is the 3-2-1 concept, including a drink.

Excellent service, I went with my mum and sister for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. Amazing, authentic Chinese food that you really can’t get from your local takeaway. I will most definitely be coming back! I recommend the spicy chicken cooked in beer, if you love spice it’s a great meal to share with friends.

Delicious dumplings and prawn rolls!

An absolute must! We took part in the unlimited dim sum lunch and it was fantastic! We had so much fun picking different dishes to try and everything we had was delicious and flavourful!

We had a fantastic meal here. We shared the black pepper beef, aubergine and potato and a fried rice and all were pipping hot and served promptly. The staff were all really nice. Highly recommended...

Shoe hored us in when we had prebooked. The food was good, but my meal was late and wrong. Might of just caught them in a bad day.

I wish they had proper seating instead of low backless wooden stools! With the dim sum Timeout deals, you have to order the initial 6 dishes between 2 people simultaneously, which can result in some of the food getting cold if you do not rush eating.

worst experience. food was not great, rice was stale and burnt. staff was so rude not sure if it’s because we was black. THEN as we’re about to leave the staff insisted we paid service charge as if there was no option not too. deffo will report back to time out.

Honestly the food was authentic, tasty and memorable. We were there on Chinese new year and it was still very welcoming. We queued for a short time and then enjoyed our feast. We were greeted by the Chinese dragon dancers midway as part of the celebrations. Really recommend it. As it highlights their ability to still maintain great food even at the busiest periods. Enjoy the big noodle soup paired with lots of dim sums and bits you enjoy.

We ate here recently and had the bottomless dim sum! Absolutely unbelievable value for money and a brilliant concept; 1st order x3 dishes, 2nd order x2 dishes & 3rd order x1 dish. Couldn’t even finished the 2nd order of food but it was so tasty! Would highly recommend the chicken/pork Xiao Long Bao’s, the Sichuan style pork buns & the stir fried chicken noodles! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was buzzing inside for a Wednesday night! We were so hungry I forgot to take photos but you won’t regret giving this place a visit if you’re in the area!

Been going for years and loved it. However they have now started asking for tips ON TOP OF THE SERVICE CHARGE when they hand you the card machine. Really gutting as I loved this place but that is overwhelmingly greedy and poor form.

Very authentic Taiwanese street food, brought me back to my days in Taiwan. The oyster omelette was spot on, and glutinous rice with minced pork is a treat. If you don’t like beef noodle soup, try the stir fried beef noodle with sacha sauce. It’s the dry cousin version of the soup with more savory notes and chewy fried noodles. I will definitely come back again

Different style of Chinese dishes from the other standard touristy ones along the Chinatown strip. Dumplings, quick fried beef, noodles and fried rice were all delicious. A bit pricey but a better standard than other places nearby so worth it if within your budget.

Bustling and atmospheric and offering something different to the mainstream Cantonese fare. Delicious dumplings, rice fragrant with pandan, and great Taiwanese specialities.

And you get to choose from more than 30 dim sum dishes, including lots of 🌿 vegetarian options so there’s a choice for everyone! 👫 The service was very good, especially considering that there were 10 of us ordering a feast with many courses and yelling in Italian any time a dish would come ahah

Booked via TimeOut for the bottomless dimsum with Prosecco. They actually have a whole drinks menu to choose your drink from so we opted for wine instead. Food was so tasty and fresh, highly recommend the spicy pork xiao long bao, the spicy duck dumplings and the crystal prawn dumplings. Service was ok. Items are brought out quickly, we didn’t feel rushed to leave either. I’d definitely recommend it with the timeout deal

Menu was falling apart, food all came at once, waiter was silent and clearly did not want to be there, beer didn't come but was charged for.....having said that, the lady who took the money sorted everything and took the service charge off with a smile and without a problem.
