This dumpling restaurant seemed like a popular place with customers queuing up most of the day. Attended there for a late lunch and was greeted by friendly staff. Ordered spicy Xiaolongbao and fried dumplings. However, the wrappings of both dishes were way too thick than usual. Quite disappointed by that.

We waited 20 minutes and the attendant always told us after 5 minutes that he would open the lower floor in a second. We were 2 adults and 2 children. While we were standing outside, the attendant let 8 people in (they always went 2 at a time). When I asked why we couldn't, she said that there were 4 of us. When she let another couple go, we left after 25 minutes. You have lost customers. 👎

Restaurant in London's Chinatown that does not disappoint. We went there because of the good reviews and there was indeed a line to get in, but not much (and it was Sunday at noon). The waiters treated us great and the food was delicious, everything very authentic (the dumplings, the duck, the noodles... everything was spectacular). Both the rooms and the toilets are very clean. I can only say good things, the whole family left delighted with the experience!!

We ordered half of a Peking Duck but it came out shredded and very dried. It was disappointed as the Peking Duck dish is usually served as chopped pieces with the crispy skin and the meat part come intact in one piece. Both hand pulled noodles and the steamed pork dumplings were hard and plain. This place is definitely for non-Chinese tourists who aren’t familiar with Chinese dishes.

The vegetable dumping were flavourless, the soft shell crack was like an overcooked fish cake that was too salty and oily and the pork dumplings were very average with dry filling. The duck pancakes were nice and so were the courgette croquettes (although very oily). The service was shockingly bad. The waiters were rude, aggressive and impatient. When I asked to sit on the ground floor rather than in the basement, the waiter got quite aggressive, would not provide me with much information and told me to wait outside in the cold. Table service was also rushed, and the waiters were rude and impatient. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself was pleasant with the wood panelling to interior however nothing particularly special.

A quality soup dumpling should have thin skin and flavorful soup inside, but unfortunately, neither were present in the dumplings from this shop. The skin was thick, and the pork mince inside was dry. Frankly, if this is the standard offered in Asia, I doubt the shop would survive long there. I hope my experience was just bad luck and not indicative of their usual quality. As for the noodles, they were unrecognizable compared to what I know from Chinese cuisine. Overall, the food was disappointing, the service lacking, and to top it off, there was a service charge. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I know.

Value for money: 3/5 Service: 2/5 Qualify: 3/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 Selection: 4/5 15/25 Went Saturday late evening, waited for 40 minutes to be seated. We were seated in the back with a loud-ish family on one side, and a group of friends the other side for context. The server had a difficult time understanding we wanted menu b, even though it was mentioned and pointed at multiple times. One of the other servers kinda threw the plate on the table, which we found rude. The quality was decent, but it was drastically different from dish to dish. The atmosphere were kinda difficult to rate, as it was a busy evening in the Chinese new year celebration which were understandable. Food selection were quite huge, but for a dumpling place not to have baos were unfortunate. Cha Siu Baos were missed. Overall we didn't feel the value for money was quite there, and isn't planning to return for it in the future as it was quite a letdown for a place with 40 minute wait time

Ended up here after somehow failing to go to a neighbouring restaurant using Google Maps. They messed up our order. Me and wife ordered a soup each, they came with a soup and a dumpling. Going with my usual "eat first think later", I had already eaten half a dumpling order (not my soup) before I realized it wasn't what I ordered. I may have eaten someone else's dumplings today. Was billed for the soup (basically same price). No real menus on the table, what makes things a bit confusing as there are four different buffet options, dozens of dishes and the chinese accent is not very clear (as a foreigner myself). Lots of confusion, great food, at least one faux pas somewhere I'm sure. Would definitely return.

In the heart of London's vibrant Chinatown, Beijing Dumpling is a beacon for those seeking authentic and delectable Chinese cuisine. With its simple storefront and bustling atmosphere, it's a place where generations have gathered to savour the art of the dumplings. As you enter, the aroma of steaming dough and savory fillings hits you like a warm embrace. The open kitchen allows you to witness the meticulous craftsmanship behind each dumpling, from the delicate pinching of the dough to the generous dollops of filling. The sight of bamboo steamers brimming with these little parcels of goodness is enough to make your mouth water. The menu is a veritable ode to the dumpling, offering a plethora of options to tantalize your taste buds. We opted for a selection of dumplings, and they did not disappoint. The thin, translucent dough yielded to reveal a juicy filling, seasoned to perfection with subtle Asian flavours. Each dumpling was a harmonious explosion of flavours and textures, a testament to the skill and care put into every fold. The atmosphere at Beijing Dumpling is as authentic as the food itself. The clatter of chopsticks, the murmur of conversation, and the warm buzz of activity all contribute to a lively and genuine dining experience. The friendly staff adds to the charm, always willing to offer recommendations and answer any questions about the menu. If you're looking for a taste of yummy dumplings in London, then try out Beijing Dumpling. The delicious dumplings, the enticing menu, and the vibrant atmosphere make it a true Chinatown gem. Just be prepared to share a table, as this is a place meant for communal dining and shared culinary adventures.

This is my go-to place in Central London for a quick Chinese meal. Food is good and it has smoked chicken on the menu- my favourite dish. I just wanted to write this review to basically refute some of the weirder reviews I've seen on here. The service for me is always good, food comes quickly. People seem to expect the waiters to be chatty and friendly like some sort of American diner- this is a Chinese restaurant run by actual Chinese people, what you think is rude is just them getting to the point! And no, don't expect to wait inside for your table- it's very small! It does get busy at lunchtime and dinner, especially on the weekends, so you may have to wait for your table outside. And don't expect to be able to linger and have a nice long chat after your meal- they need the table for the long line of people waiting for it, so go and enjoy a dessert at one of the many excellent places in the area.

The queue is not worth the food! Don’t be fooled. This is a tiktok hype. The xiao long bao dumplings fall apart and had no soup in them. The “spicy” dumplings have no flavour and definitely no spice. Generally, bland flavours. The hot and sour soup was ok. The salt and pepper tofu was average. Maybe the other dishes would be better… but it’s called “Beijing dumpling” so you’d think their dumplings would be excellent. So sad. Another very average place in China town to avoid.

Amazing Chinese food! Expect to wait in line for a table but it’s totally worth it! Authentic, and so damn tasty! The crispy duck was fantastic, the dumplings great, noodles great, atmosphere great! So glad we waited, we will definitely be back

We were a group of 7 and after an hour waiting in the street at 0 degrees, they divided us in 2 tables and didn’t offer a solution for us to have dinner together. They were really really rude and treated us very impolitely so we had to leave without eating anything. Don’t recommend and wouldn’t go back.

One of my favourite restaurants in the world. The soup dumplings and dry fried noodles are best.

First off the food is excellent and totally worth it. However did not appreciate a large queue with people waiting outside in the cold when several tables were free both downstairs and upstairs. The service did not get any better once inside.

Was ok. Better book a table to avoid waiting.

forgot to take photos of food but it was banging, defo recommend the pork xiao long bao. the service was quick and friendly - those who like to have a chit chat with the waiter should find a more slow paced restaurant! food was all very quick to come and was so yummy ! didn't reserve, only had to wait 15 mins and we pulled up at around 2pm
