LEON in Manchester

Full English in a pot, poached egg, Cumberland sausage cut up, bits of bacon cut up and some beans, tasted really nice but not worth the price all in a little pot. Red Shakshuka 2 poached eggs in a tomato sauce, tasted chilli, buttery with Aioli and herbs, was really nice and l throughly enjoyed it. Yet again in a little pot wasn’t really worth it.

I’ve been eating at Leon for a number of years and have a great relationship with the staff. Always super friendly and helpful even when it’s during a busy time. Today I popped in to get some food and I was not disappointed! Thanks to Hannah, Holly, Rabbil, Sanjay, Bhutan and the other staff members working today. The food was impeccable and the service was even better! I have also noticed a positive shift in staff morale since the last GM left, everyone seems so much more at ease and has the freedom to do their job without the additional stress he was bringing to the business. Keep up the great work, guys! I’ll see you all again soon!

Ate the rawest chicken burger here a couple of weeks ago - I ordered it ahead on the app and it still came a bit late I was rushing to my train. Portions are small and overpriced but the uncooked chicken really is the deal breaker for me

Leon at Piccadilly Manchester is a fantastic restaurant that truly impresses with its warm ambiance and quality food. The standout experience here is undoubtedly enhanced by Mr. Bhutan Haldar, a phenomenal staff member (or manager, IDK )whose professionalism and friendliness make every visit memorable. His coffee is simply the best—crafted to perfection and a must-try for anyone visiting Leon. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great service and delicious food!

Thats now 2 times ive been to LEON's and the barista couldnt be bothered to steam the milk. Ordered a latte, to my suprise it was just like an instant coffee with no steamed milk. Just lazy really. Paid like £4. Wont ever be going back

I’ve been a regular customer Leon Restaurant in Manchester; The food is always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying, while their coffee is simply outstanding—easily one of the best in the city! A special mention goes to Shift Manager Bhutan Halder, whose dedication and commitment to delivering top-notch service truly stand out. His warm demeanor and attention to detail create a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring every customer has a delightful experience.

Very diverse and somewhat unique menu which caters for most. Catia was super friendly and efficient and made this place a pleasure to visit!

Usually order through uber and it’s always been spot on, dine in experience was poor. Got given the wrong food, which was fixed but food was cold, bland and stale. Disappointing considering how great it’s been on previous experiences

Had a Lime Mango Dragon fruit smoothie and a thai green curry chicken and peanut satay chicken. Absolutely blew my mind and it was right next to train station for a quick takeaway

Great food, quick and easy delivery

Having not known Leon now offered Matcha on their menu, Ella was extremely helpful with recommending the matcha drinks currently available. She let me know her personal favourite was the vanilla iced flavour, and it did not disappoint! Ella also asked straight away about if I had any preferences to the milk used in my drink and kindly let me know the plant based options Leon had. Herself and Rabil were also extremely accommodating with their service as I was in store alone to finish off some work. Thank you guys!

Good breakfast deal right next to the station. Egg pots are a good on the go healthy option which are quite rare. Hash browns were v oily/soggy I wouldn’t get them again. Nice matcha flavour but it was room temperature. Overall decent but would expect a bit higher from a more premium brand.

I ordered the Paprika Chicken Super Bowl from LEON at Piccadilly Manchester, and I have to ask—who took part of my lunch before I got it? I included a fork and spoon in my photos to show the actual portion size, and compared to the menu image, it looks like someone set aside a portion for their own meal later??? The chicken pieces were fewer and smaller, the vegetables were lacking, and the sauce was almost nonexistent. For £9.59, this is not worth it. The taste was fine, but I left still feeling hungry. I understand that promo images are often enhanced, but customers should at least receive something close to what’s advertised. If this was just an honest mistake, I’d love to know. Can LEON confirm what’s going on? If you have conscience and morality, return my money. (Pictures attached for reference.)

The portions are quite small for the price which is a huge factor for me. However if the food is amazing and value for money is there in that respect then that works too. The food was just OK at best, waffle fries were cold but that was likely due to delivery driver rather than restaurant, so I'm basing this review on the rice box mainly. Its a shame as was expecting big things from such a well known brand.

I believe LEON offers one of the best food experiences for its price compared to other options in the area. The flavors are unique and definitely worth a try, especially if you're passing through Piccadilly Station. It’s a great choice for a quick, tasty meal!

I stopped by Leon at Manchester Piccadilly for breakfast and left feeling disappointed. While I was promptly given my smoothie and breakfast, the service for hot drinks was incredibly slow and poorly managed. Half the ordering booths weren’t even switched on, and the one I used was painfully slow, adding unnecessary frustration. Despite there being plenty of food and cold drinks available, most customers were stuck waiting around for their coffees. Unfortunately, I had to leave without my coffee to catch my train, which left a bitter taste in my mouth as I didn’t get something I paid for. A better system for managing coffee orders and functioning ordering booths would make a big difference, especially during busy mornings like this one.

Food was amazing, tasted like a home/cooked meal almost. And it’s healthy

I was served by a very friendly man named Tim (I think he was the manager). He seemed happy to be doing his job, and the young staff members looked happy to be there. People were encouraged to make their order at the counter when the self service tills were full. Food was reasonably priced, but even if it wasn’t, I’d return for the customer service alone :)

Can't relate to the poor reviews here. Been using here at least once a week for the last couple of months. Usually go for the rice boxes. The rice has a nice taste and texture and is quite filling. Tried a number of the toppings and they are all really tasty. So five stars from me. Shows fast food can not only be fast, but tasty and healthy too.

Efficient service and great quality drinks

Been to a few Leon’s and this one feels like the smoothest operation I’ve witnessed. Not left waiting long and the food/ drinks always been very good.

The food for this price is not the best.. The portions and its taste are not very good. The place is dirty, the tables are probably not washed. The service was very tired and not very nice, generally for something quick to eat it is OK but for one time to try, that's all.

Used to love Leon but forcing customers to order on a tablet is not a nice experience. Removing human interaction, especially when there is no queue at the tills whatsoever, is an entirely useless concept. Give people the choice? All you have to do is print their queue number on a receipt..

Good location, great service and always options for food veggie or meat. Very reasoned prices and atmosphere cool

Underwhelming, I had the salmon, avocado and egg pot. For what was a tiny portion of salmon the majority of it was bones. The egg was undercooked and congealed at the base of the pot. A lot of money for a substandard breakfast.

Binned after one bite…. I ordered the chicken rice box and and it was terrible. The chick was grey and old looking with strings of fat running through. Rice was flavourless. Over priced for £11 also

Lovely food but vegetarian options could be a lot better. They do a lot of meat dishes that I wish could be made meat free, like the satay box. Portions in rice boxes also feel a lot smaller these days, poor portions of lentil Vs rice for example. Will still go because good food overall, but could be better.

I've got the korean wrap and salad and both very dissapointing. Meat inside the wrap was cold and it was so overfilled with sauce that it got literraly everywhere, it was driping as I was trying to carry it and the salad was quite tasteless, as if I were eating pure grass. I also didn't get any cutlery, so i had to eat the salat by hands, which was very unhygienic. The bathroom had moldy handrails and had a weird iron like smell to it. All in all i think you're better of to KFC or McDonald's for a wrap and don't be fooled to try their grass like salad.

Healthy, tasty but can be very plain with the flavour. I usually get their rice boxes and breakfasts but their rice boxes have turned bland over time. The dragonfruit smoothie is so good but today it was like warm, its nice when it's cold.

In need of a quick but healthy lunch, LEON was an ideal choice. I got the Aioli Chicken Box as a meal (slaw for side, matcha for drink) as well as another side of Truffle & Mushroom Arancini. The creamy Aioli really made the Box for me. My food was prepared and served pretty quickly, too.

Vegan patty is average with good sauce in. Fries were slightly stale and garlic aioli was watery.

The coffee is nice but tried to buy a coffee the other day at services on A1 and wouldn’t accept cash so we have stopped going out of principle.

Leon used to be my go-to food on the go, but this is the fourth restaurant in as many weeks where the standards are awful. It’s quiet, no queue, one other diner, and yet the tables are filthy and the food was cold. Service was warm & friendly, but I came for the food. Not sure I’ll come again.

I had an issue with Uber Eats (my food did not arrive for around an hour because the drivers kept cancelling on me) the restaurant were super understanding and helpful, they also kept my food warm the entire time 🫶🏻

I love Leon and I go there all the time, normally it’s really good and it’s my top choice. I want to comment because I feel like I’m being scammed. Yesterday, I went to Leon and ordered a meal with the service lady. She overcharged me. Normally, my meal deal is around £10-£11, and I usually use your self-checkout machine. But yesterday, I wanted to use cash, so I went to the till. I asked her if it was more expensive than usual, and it turned out she charged me for every single item instead of a meal. She said she couldn't change it because she already put the order into the system. I ended up being charged £3-£4 more. It's frustrating, and though I wanted to complain, there were other people waiting in the queue, so I decided against it. But the more I think about it, the more frustrated I get. I can't help but feel like it's a scam.

Patwa: The food did aarait but it felt different for I used wood faak. The seat where did food did iina a piepa. It feels like they waahn to do things to not mash up the ort. If you car walk up stairs it aad for you to go iin here. English: The food was ok, but it felt unusual to use wooden utensils. They use cardboard boxes in an effort to be green. Good idea. There are 2 steps at the doors, which will make it difficult for some.

Bit into my chicken burger only for it to be pink, cold and slimy in texture, I strongly believe it was raw. Couldn’t stay to complain as had immediate train to catch. Cost me near £10.

Visited the Manchester piccadilly on Friday while waiting for my connection and was debating on trying here or going elsewhere I've never tried it before and so I did half the card machines on the order kiosks, I got the chicken nuggets, fries and a coke, staff asked if I had any allergies which I like. A few seconds later I received my food already concerned, the chips were soggy and stone cold and the nuggets were hard and stale, I bit in to one of them and some oil squirted out didn't bother eating the rest was sad I spent alot prices are expensive, the food definitely wasn't fresh and no clue how long it was sat for not hard to cook to order wouldn't recommend. Staff also just didn't look that they want to be there and just chatting with one another

Trying out the Bhaji Wrap - one of the new veganuary dishes. Still to perfect a way of eating a wrap in a dignified manner and not dropping any of it. It’s a great addition to the Leon menu and at 458 kcal - what have you got to lose?

Had a breakfast pot meal deal here was an egg shashouki pot with halloumi a latte and some hash browns very nice and seemed healthy

A lot of money for a spoon full of rice and 5 small pieces of chicken. Should of had free fries they didn’t get delivered so £3.99 down the pan. Nearly £20 for next to nothing !

Went to the one at Cheshire Oaks, ordered 2 chicken burgers and 1 waffle fries, halway through the burger, i notied the chicken looked pink in places and I didn't feel confident it was cooked properly, so we didnt eat the rest of the burgers, the waffle fries were soggy and luke warm. Quite disappointed to say the least and hope we don't end up with food poisoning!

Ordered the peanut satay chicken & rice box w/ double chicken. This the type of food to heal your soul. I’ve never had such a gorgeous peanut satay in my life. Immaculate taste and texture. The food was so good I decided to take the time to sign in and actually make review, which I never do. 10/10, major props to the chefs.

5 stars for serving healthy and sustainable food. Enjoyed breakfast while waiting for our train. Glad to see clean ingredients in their sourdough muffin sandwiches and porridge. Food nowadays is full of additives and ultra processed. I am glad LEON is moving away from that to create a healthier food environment. Happy that they encourage reusable cup use by giving a 45p discount for customers who order with one. Would be a bonus if they promote recycling in store.

The burgers are mint, the hotbox was great with some flatbread, the Truffle Arancini was a random pick as I had no idea what they where. I’m coming back for those!!!!! Chicken nuggets are actual chicken and they’re fit! Banging restaurant, will come back 100%

I really love this place, the health choice is great and the chicken is always juicy and fresh, I love in the country so don't get to come much, I want to give a 5 star so bad but the staff acted like it was a hassle to serve me as I couldn't work the self serve, so but the food was delicious as always and somthing different, would recommend highly

I really really hate leaving bad reviews :( but it was an hour late and cold. The food was nicely wrapped and would've been tasty. Just seems to take ages to get a driver, probs shouldn't be on just eat with them being in piccadilly, perhaps awkward to park and access quickly? It's a good job it was cheeky tuesday because it would've been a more expensive disappointment!

AT LAST Leon is putting its muffins in foil to keep them warm :-) I always feel a little disgruntled when I pay out for a delivery and it arrives cold and needs reheating. As someone that doesn't own a microwave, this ends up being a long process and totally defeats the object of ordering a delivery! Super pleasant and swift delivery driver too! Overall very happy with my experience today ;-)

The food was cold and the tea was literally a lake of milk made by someone who clearly didn’t care. I usually go in about 7am and it’s very different. Can’t believe Leon survives if this is the regular approach later in the day.

Really disappointed, coffee tasted burnt and barely any caramel sauce in it. Not only that my partner ordered a tea which the lid leaked all over his white tshirt. Not what you want at the beginning of the day. As well as this the food was really underwhelming, bacon was cold as well as the hash brown being Luke warm, only positive thing was the service was fast but that will explain the cold food as it had probably been sat there pre packaged. Probably won’t go here again

Food was good, maybe a little overpriced.

I ordered the lentil masala which was delivered promptly (within 5 mins). The meal itself tasted quite nice although I didn't like the pieces of kale in between. However after the meal I had some discomfort and this was the only meal I had which was different to what I normally have... The meal itself was served hot and was cooked well. The price was £5.99 and had enough food.

Iced latte was warm, 'big breakfast box' cosplays as a full English but comes with rubber cheese discs 🤮 tables not wiped down. twice the price of McDonald's for half the value. do better Leon

Yummy!! Every single time . Apart from Sushi and Pho, healthiest option available during travels. This breakfast bap was freshly prepared and so yummy and filling. The flat white was also very good. Finally, the cost of a cookie, toast, coffee and a muffin came to just over £8- bargain in todays climate!

I've tried several items here over the years, and have come to the conclusion that the avocado and halloumi breakfast muffin is their only good item, which is legitimately fantastic - and the reason this is a 2-star review, not a 1-star. But every now and again I try something new, to be different. Every time I'm disappointed. Their rice boxes at lunch are dull and flavourless, the chicken dry. The bacon and egg breakfast muffin with spiced mango ketchup this morning is the single worst thing I've tried to eat in years, and the reason I had to leave a review today. The egg was like a piece of rubber, and the mango ketchup like a sweet curry sauce. It was a rubber and curry breakfast roll. A spicy car tyre in sourdough. I can't stand food waste, for the moral and financial reasons, but I threw away more than half of it, and can't even feel guilty about it. Just awful. Some alterations on classic items are worth a try. Spicy mango in a bacon and egg roll is not one of them. I'll keep coming here for the avocado and halloumi muffin fix - the sourdough muffin IS good - but that's it. Lesson learned. There's nothing else on the menu worth risking anymore.

“Eat well, live well and be kind to the planet.” Is Leon’s purpose according to its website. Yet they don’t even recycle. Surely there’s not a restaurant in the U.K. that doesn’t recycle anymore? For a company who want to be sustainable and kind, they haven’t even bothered making the entrance accessible. And it wouldn’t even be difficult! Yet they have two steps outside with no ramp (and there’s plenty of room for one!). Do better Leon.

When it comes to breakfast in the area, this place is my top choice. The food here is undoubtedly fast food, but I must say it looks and tastes better than the alternatives around. The only downside is that it tends to get quite busy, but that's probably because many others share my sentiment about their breakfast offerings. The quality comes at a slightly higher price compared to other franchises, but for a satisfying and enjoyable morning meal, it's worth the extra cost. If you're looking for a tasty and quick breakfast option, this place won't disappoint.

The toilet had been out of order for months. As a disabled person this is unacceptable. Please fix this. One member of staff has said it was the cistern. One member; the lock. I checked both and they seemed fine. Perhaps the staff don't want passers by to use the toilet as it will then require more cleaning. It is just a feature of the business location. Your toilet has to be open.

I don’t get to come here often these days, so I look forward to it. Boy! What an amazing bacon and egg roll and the coffee! Well, americano, no milk, leaves every other coffee place standing by a mile. Oh ! Lovely staff too.
