The food at Yum Yum is truly excellent. Service was prompt and attentive as well. We hope to return before too long. A good addition to the Petersfield food scene.

Our first visit was when it was lemongrass first was good but the second time we had an awful meal. We saw on Petersfield Post that it was taken over by new people. From start to finish it was an awful experience. Run by kids by the look of it, youngsters coming in & going out, vaping in the restaurant near the bar area. Young waitresses looked uninterested with us but rather check her phone every second. Retail (supermarket) wine sold at premium price which we refused to buy. No atmosphere what so ever and music too loud. The food, prawns tasteless, rice had a funny smell to it but the Thai red curry was really good one of the best I’ve had in a very long time. When we asked for the bill the young lady just slammed it on the table. There was no table service manners what so ever. It’s a shame because petersfield doesn’t have another Thai close by. I will wait until we hear good reviews from this place to head back there.

After reading recent reviews, we almost cancelled, glad we didn't, excellent meal, fully recommend. Must remember when we book again to ask for a table in main restaurant, we sat in cubicle which you step down to, very low table/benches, not very comfortable

Is it still Lemongrass or is it a place called Yum Yum? The place has water coming through the ceiling and it smells damp - obviously! What happened to the beautiful waitresses all dressed up in Thai costumes waiting to graciously welcome you. Where were the complimentary prawn crackers? All the little touches have gone. The starters were ghastly (vegetable ‘tempura’ and salt and pepper squid) equally greasy and tasteless (and yes I realised I had a dip for the squid thank you) … Thai green curry and coconut rice lovely, as was phad me, didn’t stay for dessert. The place just isn’t t the same quality …. Couldn’t wait to get out. Such a shame .

Service was terrible, after being seated we waited 25 mins before someone came to take a drink order. Food was not good, Thai Fishcakes for a starter, were watery and no flavour, the thia chilli dip was good. Main course of Lamb Massaman curry, meat was inconsistant some pieces were melt in your mouth, others were tough and chewy, felt and tasted like they were from 2 different portions, sauce very weak and thin, with not a lot of flavour, not once were we asked if the food was ok, as we would have pointed out the problems. Never asked if we wanted anymore drinks, and no chance of catching waiting staff to ask for more, asked for the bill when they cleared the plates, ( still not asked if everything had been ok with food) we then waited over 30 mins for the bill, which still never came so proceeded to the desk to pay so we could leave. at which point a 10% service charge had been added, we asked that this be removed due to poor service. Whilst eating the table next to us who were paying their bill also complained the meat had been tough and had actually not eaten the meat.

Extremely overpriced for such a mediocre meal. Green Thai Curry virtually inedible - tasted synthetic. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. I really can’t understand why this place gets such positive reviews.

Extremely disappointed with the takeaway service we received and the poor customer service that followed. When we arrived back home (a 15-20 minute drive) we realised they had given us chicken instead of vegetarian meals. We promptly tried calling the restaurant to resolve the issue ahead of our arrival but after over 100 phone calls later we still didn’t get to speak to anyone. We had to drive back to the restaurant with our cold and wrong order to get a refund. We never got an apology and were just told we must have said chicken. They were only willing to redo one of the dishes despite the whole order now being cold. As vegetarians there is no chance we would have said chicken and didn’t appreciate the lack of accountability. Eventually got a refund and left without food or any attempt from them to make it right. We then had to find an alternative place to eat as the whole experience took over an hour from point of ordering to getting a refund. Overall a thoroughly disappointing experience and we won’t be using them again or recommending others.

Great set menu, friendly and prompt service. Nice decor and managed to park outside. Food was fresh and delicious. The Thai green curry and sweet sour chicken were my highlights. Ate far too much but couldn’t stop as it was so good.

My husband and I went here for lunch today, having been regular customers over many years befor the present owners . Unfortunately the food was badly cooked and very unappetising and we left after only managing to eat half. We will not return under the current owners.

This place has been taken over by new owners and went through a shaky patch but all seems to be well again thank goodness. The takeaway was delicious.

We visited Lemon Grass for a Saturday lunch. The food was great as always, it was a little quite, which was fine as we could a nice chat over a nice lunch.

Average Thai restaurant and service not attentive but it’s the only Thai restaurant for miles so if you are desperate for Thai food then I guess this is the only option unless you fancy a night in with a more acceptable COOK frozen finer dining meal.

Went for an anniversary meal last night. We chose the most expensive set meal at £32 per person. The sharing platter was lovely but the chicken satay skewers were cold. We mentioned this and they apologised and said they would tell the chef. The plates were brought out and by the time the food started to arrive the plates had gone cold. We asked for warm plates and they changed them to hot. When we started eating 3 of the 5 dishes were cold. The duck dish had to be stirred to warm it up. The broccoli was cold and the prawns were Luke warm. They changed all the dishes and they were nice and hot second time round. When we paid we explained that we were disappointed and he tried to tell us that it must have been just us as everyone else was happy! Unfortunately we now won’t be going back!

Great service and food. We were seriously contemplating skipping Lemongrass on the basis of other TripAdvisor reviews. Decided to take a punt and were pleasantly surprised. Toilets were a bit poky and shabby.

We have been to the Lemon Grass many times but never got round to writing a review, but better late than never. We have had many of their dishes over the years but personally I like their green and red curry. My wife has a garlic allergy which can be very challenging for restaurants but the team at the restaurant were very helpful and produces a lovely meal. we had the set menu 2.

We had a great meal to celebrate my son's 18th birthday. The food was delicious and the service was just right.

First of all, the padkrapow gai (chicken) was not even a little spicy (it said 3 chilies as hotness on the menu). It didn't have holy basil which is the whole reason to get this dish.(krapow means holy basil). The taste was very bland tbh. The larb gai was decent though. My friends meal was a little better but only because it had black pepper in it. Oh and they snuck on a £6 tip without saying so haha. All in all, I'll avoid the lemongrass chain from now on as even my Thai cooking is better and I'm terrible 😂.

We’ve been a fan for years but the food quality is just not as it used to be. We had a take away and as a vegetarian spending 10.50 on a stir fry I expect more than 2 tiny pieces of chewy tofu and mostly cabbage. I had two tiny pieces of broccoli and a few slices of carrot: the flavour was lacking and it just wasn’t the same as it used to be. My husband also said his chicken Thai curry sauce wasn’t up to scratch. Very sad.

The whole experience was just really awful and its really sad because as an independent resturant and one thats been around for so long they couldnt upkeep the standard. Firstly my soup had a piece of wire in it. They rectified and bought out a new one. The Steak my friend ordered at £19! was not an actual piece of rib eye steak. It was strips of beef in a very salty thick brown sauce served on a sizzling platter. The other dishes we ordered was so salty and actually made you choke we asked for this to be changed but by then we were off our food and other meals had gone cold. We asked for our leftovers to be packed to takeaway while taking our plates the waitress picked food from our table with her hands and dropped it in the food we were taking away. It was such a horrendous experience. We wont be going back.

We have been here many times and absolutely loved it. Yesterday we took our brother and sister in law who had never been as we were celebrating our joint wedding anniversaries. Firstly we were not greeted very well which is unusual. Once we had ordered the starters arrived, myself and my husband were given the wrong ones so we swapped over, not a problem. I had the soft shell crab which is normally a favourite of mine but yesterday it was horrible. Really salty and inedible, it actually set me off coughing and i was unable to eat it. I mentioned it to the waiter who said that he would tell the chef. He came back and said that is the recipe! The rest of the meal was nice but when the bill came we asked to have the service charge removed. The waitress asked why and i said that the crab was horrible and we weren't happy how it was dealt with. She then asked if it was so bad why did my husband eat it? I said that it was mine and I didn't eat. She persisted in arguing and saying that it was the recipe and if it had been so bad why did he eat it. Even as we were leaving she persisted. We were really sad and embarassed as it was a special ocassion and our family got such a bad impression. We have never been served by anyone so rude

Don't think I've had greasy Thai food before, so this was a first. One starter arrived about 15 minutes before ours - which wasn't worth waiting for. The veggie set meal was tedious and although I like undercooked veggies these weren't even hot. Staff were really inattentive and I had to go and find someone to pay the bill. It was not worth the excessive cost.

The food was tasty and service was very prompt and courteous. There was a quirky pond in the conservatory. The only downside was it did feel cramped in their with everyone sat close. It put us off hence the 4 stars not 5.

This restaurant is a gem. We absolutely love Thai food and this was probably one of the best we have had in this country - so delicious and generous portions! We were sat in the conservatory part of the building which was so pretty with the tree and the pond. Definitely worth a visit.

We booked a table for 1pm for 6 people on Saturday. We were NOT told at the time of booking that the restaurant would close at 2.30 p.m. If I had known that, I would have booked for the evening time.We were rushed so much and told 5 mins before 2.30 p.m. that we should order more drinks and would not be able to order desserts. The experience was completely ruined and our plates and glasses were removed quickly forcing us to feel uncomfortable and eat our food swiftly. Ordered a takeaway through uber to be delivered at 7.50, hadn’t arrived by 9.30 which was supposed to be the latest delivery time. Still hadn’t been delivered by 10 o’clock so phoned up to complain, they said that it had been sitting waiting to be delivered but there were no drivers to bring it to us! I don’t care if it’s Uber or the lemongrass’ fault but if I order something from a restaurant I expect it to be delivered! Don’t offer a delivery service if you can’t deliver!

Last minute dash out for food took us to Lemongrass in Petersfield. Quirky, cool setting with a typical friendly greeting you would expect from a Thai restaurant. Food is sensational, especially for the money. We had the set menu for 2, with two large beers (660ml singha beer). We ate well and ended up taking half home for lunch today.. the meal woul feed 3 hungry adults, easily. We paid £72 including a tip

My wife and I ate here tonight. It was so good I had to write a review straight away. Without a doubt one of the best restaurants we’ve been to for a while. Warm welcome and the staff were incredibly friendly, polite and attentive. Great menu and the food was full of flavour - just delicious. So impressed. We won’t hesitate to recommend to friends and family and will definitely be going back. Honestly, Amazing Food and Amazing Customer service - loved it.

Why is thai food so expensive in UK,? Chinese,Indian ,Indonesian and Vietnamese are half the price.I personally find Thai food to over chillied and this one was no exception,small portions as well.

Ordered a takeaway as it was my birthday and wanted something different to our local Chinese and Indian restaurants. We have eaten here previously and were very impressed so decided to give takeaway a go as we were in lockdown and unable to eat onsite. The service was efficient and the food was ready when we arrived to pick it up. There is no entry into the restaurant. There is a table at the entrance where the food is brought to you. We had ordered a set meal plus a couple of other dishes. The red Thai chicken curry was lovely. The mixed starters were ok but nothing special. The satay was very dry. However they were still crisp as they were packed in a foil container with the top open a little. Unfortunately the Sea Bass Phad Cha and the Choi Chee Jumbo Prawn did not do well as a takeaway because they are packed in a plastic dish with a lid. Both are meant to be crispy. Unfortunately because they had the sauce on them, both were soggy. The Prawn was especially bad. It was just mush. I would suggest that the Prawn and Bass are packed in a foil container with a separate sauce that can be added when eaten. The lamb massaman curry was nice as were the vegetables and pad Thai. I might be wrong but I am thinking that the prices charged for takeaway are the same as if we had eaten at the restaurant. I thought it was very expensive for what is was but did offer something different.

We had a really delicious meal. My sea bass in particular was so lovely. Lovely friendly service and great value due to their extended 'eat out to help out'offer. Can't wait for lockdown to be over so that we can return.

If you want to enjoy a fantastic Thai meal like I have just done, do not hesitate to try out Lemongrass. Quality service and exceptional food.

I hadn’t been to Lemongrass since before lockdown... first visit tonight as I have missed Thai food so much and i will be back again soon without a doubt. The service was brilliant (as always) and I felt totally safe with the extrac COVID measures/precautions put in place. The food was AMAZING!! To top it off, when we came to pay the bill we were told that despite the “eat in to help out” deal ending, the restaurant themselves were giving a discount. Just moved into the area. In fact. Behind the restaurant. The food was excellent because the ingredients authentic and it was super spicy. Just the way I asked for it. The lady who runs it,Nat, is lovely and friendly and all her team were never short of energy and smiles. Despite how busy it was because on EOTHO. Stoked that this is walking distance. I will be a regular.

We had a takeaway from here last night. It was absolutely delicious!! We had to drive to collect because we live in Bordon and there aren’t any Thai takeaways here. I was a bit worried the food might be cold by the time we got home but it was still steaming hot. And the flavours were just gorgeous. So yummy, and definitely worth the drive, we will do it again! Was almost put off by negative reviews on here, but glad we went. Can’t comment on the authenticity, but the food was delicious - very fragrant, but not as spicy as I expected. Service was good if a little disorganised (seemed to do everything twice), and quite a long gap between the first two starters and the third arriving. Would definitely go back.

Haven’t been here for years as don’t live locally but decided to drive the distance as knew it was always good. We weren’t disappointed, really delicious food with quick and friendly service. Ambience nice, with the pond and fish in the middle of the restaurant. Could do with a bit of decorating, some of the walls the paint peeling off and mouldy. That said, didn’t take away from the delicious food. Really lovely evening, we will recommend to others and be back ourselves!

An absolutely wonderful find in the middle of the town centre.Great atmosphere, very good food from great starters to main courses full of flavour and large portions, our portions could have fed 4 and we were only 2!.We will certainly be returning when next in the area.

We used to really like this restaurant but there have been changes and they are not for the better. Booked a table for New Year's Eve and the only one available was at 6pm which frankly was too early but we took it. I do understand they need to stagger food orders for the kitchen and perhaps wanted to "turn the tables" though we had not been told of any time we had to have vacated the table by. Mixed starters to share were barely warm and obviously just reheated. No rice came with the mains even though it had been ordered so two people had the equivalent of Thai Curry soup. The rice arrived after we were nearly finished so the mains really were not that great plus the meat portion size of the curry had been reduced from previous visits. Then were were told no desserts were available as they obviously wanted us to vacate the table!? Added to which they had the slight cheek to automatically charge 10% service that had been added to the bill and for a bill of over £200 frankly I don't think that over £20 was warranted. Didn't leave a great impression to be honest and it would need to improve before I would return. Rather sad as this used to be a great place.

We have visited here twice in the last month, the food and service is very good, however we found the portions very small. Be warned there is an added 10% service charge to all tables not just large bookings. The first time I asked for it to be taken off not because there was a problem with the service just thought it was a bit cheeky. Second visit I was with friends so paid the service charge as didn’t want a scene, however i only had a coke and they ordered lots of alcohol, at the bottom of the bill it said how much each person needed to pay, so I paid a lot more. There’s really no need for the service charge if people are happy they will tip. I’m sure this is all to avoid vat or tax of some kind. Puts me off visiting again. Have never come across this before.

Initially, I was given the wrong meal, this was corrected but the replacement food was overcooked and the 'prawn pad thai' was almost prawn free?? There were 3 of us and the other 2 said their meal was good / OK, hence I am giving an 'average' rating rather than 'poor'. The experience was not helped by the presence of extremely drunk people who were aggressive and loud. This was not the fault of the restaurant however they were very busy and it would have been kinder to existing users of the restaurant to have refused entry on the basis of being busy.

We have been eating at Lemongrass Petersfield for many years. We have always enjoyed really delicious authentic Thai food with friendly Thai service.On arrival at the restaurant this evening I straight away noticed that there were no Thai staff to be seen. The food was totally unremarkable and as commented on in another review small portions. The food wasn't authentically Thai it had been anglicised, so although we didn't have a terrible meal it was not a memorable one. We spoke to our waitress who confirmed that the restaurant was under new management and I explained our feelings about the meal. The service was attentive (I cannot complain about the waiting staff) but the food was really disappointing. We will sadly have to look elsewhere for our Thai suppers, we will not be visiting again, such a shame.

One of my best Thai meals outside of Thailand. Excellent friendly and fast service. A good menu and we'll presented food. An acceptable wine list and pleasant ambiance. Well worth a visit.

Up to about 12 months ago we ate there regularly. We visited about 6 weeks ago for a tapas lunch, and found staff had changed - so had the food.

Been visiting the Lemongrass for several years and each time we are greeted with a warm welcome, great service and the choice of dishes is really good. The range of flavours and the amount of choice is great and particularly recommend "number 41".

Have been here a couple of times now and it doesn't disappoint. Very tasty food and friendly service. Have enjoyed sizzling steak dishes, Phad Thai, Massaman Curry (delicious) Duck and tasty mixed starters. Reasonably priced wine and beer as well. The menu is quite varied and interesting. Different seating areas - some better than others - and a popular restaurant. I like it and will be back.

I met up with 2 friends i don't see very often. Lemongrass is always good. I had lovely fish cakes anda prawn green curry. I have tried lots of their fish dishes which have also been very good. Guests from America wanted something nice to eat. Booked the table for 18.30. on recommendation fro my Son and Daughter in law. Great atmosphere in a very busy restaurant . Ordered starters and main courses. Great service and lovely friendly staff.

Had a meal here on the recommendation of our son. The food was really good. There was plenty of choice. The service was attentive and all the staff were very pleasant. Would happily go there again when we’re next in Petersfield.

Had a lovely birthday lunch with my family. Grandchildren and niece received a great welcome come even though they were a tad messy. Food was fantastic as were the staff, had a wonderful few hours and was impressed with the layout, little semi private rooms. A haven of peace.

My partner and I went for dinner at the Lemongrass last night and the service was great every member of staff was lovely and accommodating. We ordered the mixed platter for 2 which was a standard mixed platter you'd expect. We ordered a chicken Thai red curry which was nice and prawn pad Thai which was also very nice. I ordered the sizzling seafood which was lovely and a little spicy. However, we ordered drunken noodles which ive had many times before and I usually love the spiciness, but these ones had no heat at all. The sizzling seafood was even spicier. Either the staff got our order wrong or they forgot to add spice! Also, the massamun curry was subpar, overly coconutty. And all quite expensive. We would go again but probably be more cautious of what we order and ask for everything to be a bit spicier.

For a start the owner is Muslim so there's no pork on the premises even though it's supposed to be Thai cuisine. Forget spare ribs etc.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner there last night. The scallop dish I had was cooked perfectly. The seafood soup my wife enjoyed was also delicious. Beware the Swiss chocolate ice cream! It was amazing! Delightful staff. Thank you.

What a lovely evening! Our first visit to the Lemon Grass, it was my birthday! Mr Meng could not have done more in making the evening enjoyable. Great food with a lovely birthday treat to end with....ice cream with candles....and vocals. Look forward to returning for more fine cuisine.

Had a lovely anniversary meal, we chose the vegetarian set meal for two. Plenty to eat and very tasty, friendly service. A bit pricey but enjoyable.

We have visited this restaurant for lunch many times over the past 10 years, and have enjoyed very good and well presented food together with polite and friendly service. Our recent visit, with friends, was a big disappointment. Firstly, my husband received a glass of red wine and not rose as ordered. Back it went. Then the main courses arrived (on plates which were too big for the table and no burners in place to keep food warm) to be immediately followed by the starters. So everything deposited at once. Serving staff seemed bemused. We were not impressed. The food itself was fine although tepid and lacking any embellishments to dishes which are usually a delightful feature of Thai food. Standards have slipped.

We arrived a tad early, but were shown to a small table for two at the back of the restaurant, it was very cold in this part of the restaurant. I have been in the past at the front of the establishment on authentic Asian chairs and tables which are great. We ordered a bottle of white wine which was not chilled. We waited a good 10 minutes before attracting the attention of a waiter & he changed it for chilled bottle without a fuss, but no communication at all. The food was very tasty & served very quickly. If I reviewed just the food it would have been 5 stars

The house mixed starters were good. We had two signature dishes Duck Surprise and a Sea Bass Curry. Both were very good. Several rooms so not altogether in one big room

4 of us decided to meet up for a nice meal which was pre booked for a Saturday night. Otherwise could have difficulty getting a table. We were greeted upon entry and taken to our table, lovely staff in traditional Thai clothing. We ordered some drinks and looked through the menu, prices were ok more the expensive side but I think worth it, quality and quantity exceptional. We had a mixed platter to start and a tempura vegetables. Main was chilli seabass, duck paradise, sizzling beef and a massaman curry. A coconut rice and a egg fried rice. Also a phad Thai and a prawn dish and stir fry bean sprouts. We ordered so much and all over it was so delicious and we all had a mixture of different foods. Our pudding was banana fritters with ice cream and chocolate sauce. YUM! Our bill was nearly 200 but we did order a Prosecco bottle for 25 . This is the go to place for my friends and I. We have been visiting the Lemongrass every couple of months for the past few years! We usually have no trouble booking a table whether it is for 4 of us or 8. The food is absolutely lovely and the staff are friendly and helpful with the menu. The price is very reasonable and costs us around £20- £25 each for a starter, main, side dish and a drink.

This is what was given as a take out for £5.25 what a rip off. tempura was also very cold. Their was literally 1 onion ring, one piece of red pepper, and a small amount of broccoli and cauliflower.

We had our wedding day lunch with a small party of 8. Food was wonderful and the staff, Pen and sorry I can not remember the waiters name was also wonderful, we will be back that`s for sure.

We love eating here, the service is wonderful and the food tastes like you are in Thailand. A great atmosphere too - perfect for a romantic meal. Pen was a wonderful host and we look forward to coming back again soon. Try the duck curry, highly recommended

I go to school at Bedales, which is just up the road from Lemongrass. It's a popular place with students and also visiting family and friends. I go there at least once a month, and it's my family's first choice whenever they come to visit.

After my first visit in September 2018 I gave a four star review but gave a "possibly again, but not so sure" overall conclusion.

My other half and I recently visited and were blown away by just about everything. The staff were attentive, the food was delicious, the price was fair and the interior was spot on. We couldn't fault our experience here and will continue to recommend it to our friends & family.

"Pen" greeted us at the front door, very friendly with a traditional Thai welcome. Restaurant is very clean and lovely. The service was very good throughout our meal, the food very fresh and tasty. The deep fried squid we ordered didn't taste of old oil like in some restaurants, the batter was well prepared and the squid was very tasty. The mayo dip wasn't over flavoured. Pad Thai well prepared not over oily and again tasted very nice. All the curries were delicious. I could not fault the restaurant at all, but the ladies toilet door didn't lock easily, which in fact added to my sons enjoyment of the day. By the way the atmosphere was very nice, music gentle and not to loud etc .

I have visited several times and always amazed at the different flavours you experience from each dish. Would 100% recommend to anyone. There are spice and mild dishes, veggie and meat. Absolutely will be returning.

Rarely eat Thai so it was a pleasant change from the usual. The waiter was very polite and efficient, the place spotlessly clean (lovely to have proper white linen napkins), and while we were the sole diners it didnt feel odd in the way that can be sometimes.

Don't usually do reviews but this time I feel I just had too. From the moment we entered the restaurant we felt welcome. At first, having not been to a Thai restaurant before, we were a little worried about what to order but were soon put at our ease by our waitress Pen who helped us to order the most wonderful tasting food. Thank you again Pen for making our evening so enjoyable! Now we have found you we will be back soon!

Oh dear, what has happened to Lemongrass? It used to be a friendly, excellent place to go for delicious food, served quickly, with efficient staff. We used to go all the time and it was always perfect. This is the second time we have gone where the wait has been painful (45 mins for starters to arrive) and more than an hour and a half until the main course came - and only because we said we weren't happy so were told our order was bumped from third place to next in line. No apology. Food was great as usual but service is sadly lacking.

Great food for the party of 8 of us, it came quickly and everyone loved their food with plenty of options for one of us who was vegetarian. Really nice staff who were very friendly and welcoming.

Went there on New years Eve. Busy and under staffed, but did extremely well. Good sized portions well cooked. mixed starter for 2 a must. Book. Restaurant larger than it looks from outside

The food here is excellent. Love the colours and vibrancy of flavour. Pleasant surroundings. The set meals offer a lot of variety and quantity for the price (come hungry!) and the lunch time tapas are good value. Never disappointed. Excellent service from Pen.

Such a lovely evening spent at Lemon Grass. We were welcomed so beautifully and the food was of such high standard, I really can’t praise the service more - thank you Pen and Meng for looking after us so well. We all look forward to returning in the new year.

We are 3 of us from originally come from far east. We would like eat out and quality time in authentic oriental restaurant. This restaurant was great because the choice of menu are great and lovely presentation even lunch menu. most importantly full of flavour! I also would like to mention the staff especially Pen was great for our table! She was very polite and great customer service. We love little gem!

This was my third visit to Petersfield and the third meal in Lemongrass. Their kitchen is so remarkably good that makes me come back at each visit. Thank you ! I'll be back again.
