absolutely shocking do not order the keabab box thing you get next too nothing taste is bland

The food was foul. The chips looked like uncooked, mashed up onion bhaji. But to my shock were actually extremely undercooked, greasy chips (see pic). The rest of the food was tasteless and the meat was tough. This place used to be amazing but it was a massive let down this time.

No real taste to either meal ordered. We ate it as we was hungry but threw more than half away. Had a lot better for the price to be fair.

Great delivery, unfortunately the food was watery and tasteless and probably worst Indian we’ve had.

Ordered through local app - really don't recommend this place at all. Food was delivered prompty and was hot, but that's the only positives really. Chicken bhuna had about 6-7 chunks of small pieces of chicken. "King prawn" tandoori was a couple of small prawns, NOT king prawns. The reshmi kebab wasn't what I expected at all - almost like a burger patty in an egg.. I thought these dishes were meant to be chicken based? Food was okay tasting and small portions for the price.

Awful. AVOID! Charge you for things they aint even got the ingredients for. Quality of food is awful

sent the wrong food and charges me for extras I didn't receive. I rang to request no salad yet it came with salad, the girls responded was he doesn't speak English there's not much I can do. donner meat looks stare too

Food was absolutely phenomenal. Haven’t had an Indian takeaway in a long time and Leigh Tandoori did not disappoint! Every part of it was absolutely beautiful and the delivery driver was so pleasant too!

They missed a rice and the rice we was given wasn’t cooked properly it was hard! They missed the chutney with the popadoms and they missed onion bhajis! The naan wasn’t cooked it was sooo doughy and it was supposed to be a garlic one and it hasn’t got one bit of garlic on it !

I ordered for 7pm and got a message to say the order was delayed. At 7.15pm I got a message to say the food was being delivered. Needles to say, by the time it turned up at 7.40pm it was cold. The massala tasted of onions and the lamb shahee should have been sliced lamb in a mince sauce, we got huge lumps of fatty lamb in a sauce with no minced lamb. Very disappointing, If we'd ordered this in the restaurant, we would have sent it back.

Ready for collection right on time, lovely staff and the food was delicious! The curries were thick and the onion rice was flavourful! One of the best Indian takeaways I’ve had in a long time! 10/10!

Ordered via just eat said was to be delivered by 19.10pm Hadn’t arrived by this point therefore put through a refund request Arrived around 19.30pm after I had already put through a refund request bearing in mind I had ordered at 18.00pm. Food arrived cold apart from naan bread that was burnt. Now at 21.35pm I recieve a phone call to which I answered to Leigh tandoori on the phone Shouting down the phone as to why I’d put in a refund request to which I responded the food hadn’t arrived when I put through the request Continued to shout down the phone at me resulting in me to just ending the phone call. Why would you call 2 hrs after to start shouting at a customer Terrible service I wouldn’t put through a refund if I had recieved my food at the time but I hadn’t and then I couldn’t take back the refund. This is absolutely appalling. Typically love this restaurant with very nice food but will definitely not be ordering from there again

Ordered at 17.50pm says it’s been delivered now when it hasn’t

Placed an order at 17:45 on Uber eats, order was accepted and we have been waiting for it. Have just received a cancellation notice and a message to say that you are not accepting any more orders today a FULL HOUR after we placed the order. Left us waiting an hour before cancelling, why? Just refuse the order if you don’t want to take it! Absolute disgrace.

Placed an order from here at 17:45, order was accepted and we waited a full hour. We then received a message at 18:45 (during the delivery time slot) that the order was now cancelled and the restaurant was no longer accepting orders. Why wait a full hour after accepting the order before cancelling? Just don’t accept the order if you’re too busy to fulfil it! No response from the restaurant, terrible customer service and experience. Avoid!

What an absolute joke. Ordered at 7pm. I get it's busy, but it's now nearly 4 hours later. They accepted my order. Then at 9 said it was on its way. Phoned 10 times. No answer. If you can't fulfil your orders then don't accept it. Will never try to order from here again. Appalling customer service.

Order was nearly an hour late, Karahi was swimming in oil. Madras was unbearably hot. Very disappointing.

Order didn't even turn up and when rang the restaurant to find out where it has been delivered too no answer. Will never order from them again! 9pm on Christmas eve and now habe to find somewhere that will deliver food!!!!!

Ordered food for delivery got to the time stated no delivery so phoned the shop to be told I had to collect my self as there was no drivers available, picked up my order by the friendly front of house young lady but when I got it home it was cold & my madras tasted like someone had emptied a bottle of vinegar in it, could not eat it, my partners masala was cold & had to be warmed in the microwave along with the chips & nann very dissapointed as it's usually very nice food 😞

The masala had so much coconut in it,, not like i have had before,, a chicken tikka massala doesnt have if any all that coconut

The kebab said it would come with chilli and mint sauce on the side and salad but it didn't cone with neither. The nan bread was burnt. Tasted awful. Delivery was quick and the delivery guy was nice but the food was horrible.

AVOID!!! went here tonight, food was bland and borderline gross tasting. Called up about it and was told they had a new chef in the past 12 months so it may taste different and that they've received no complaints so it's a "me problem" rather than theirs. Popped on Google to look at reviews and clearly the cocky girl is a liar as most of their reviews are negative. Wish we'd checked the reviews first.

Chicken korma was so bland i couldnt finish it the Garlic nan had a spot of garlic on it. The whole meal was disappointing and bland. My husband and myself havent eaten here since 2019 and thought we would enjoy a meal here, how wrong we were!!

Hands down best kebab I've ever had, the chilli sauce definitely blows your head off, only negative really is the portion size, hardly any Donner, like 3 strips of it, other than that, spot on

Curry was very bland, very ginger kick no spice at all. Bread was burnt. Great pakora, mango sauce, and brilliant rice as well. Lovely friendly delivery driver

We got a message to say the order was delayed and another to apologise the delay. The delivery driver was very apologetic and professional. We were more than happy that the rest had kept us updated and apologised.

I’m a nurse working in the Wigan hospital so I decided I would order from here as a treat for me and my son. I wanted it delivered to a neighbour in case traffic delayed me. I finish at 8 pm so I put on order for 9pm. They delivered it when they suited. Obviously I’m not home yet so my neighbour texed to say they had delivered it. The food is obviously no use to me now and so I called them from the hospital to see if there is anything they could do and they said the time wasn’t on the order. It was 100% and they denied it and gave me a lot of shouting abuse down the phone. I asked why was he shouting when it was a simple request and he was effing and jeffing down the phone. To me speaking to a lady like that is absolutely disgusting and I will definitely not be ordering from them again. This is very bad. What they didn’t know is after they slammed the phone down on me I called back and recorded the abuse he gave me again. Terrible company and upset after the abuse they gave me

If you like your food delivered luke warm/cold, this is the place for you. Our order was sent out with another delivery & sadly ours was second in the queue.

The chicken masala had very little chicken in it, the egg fried rice was bone dry, the lamb tikka was tough as old boots, I ended up with 7 onion bargees instead of 3, again all dry, 1 onion dip instead of 2 and so small it was doll sized, 2 of my 3 popadoms were broken, the only good thing was the Bombay potatoes. Never again!!!!

We have found it really hard to find an Indian that offers good service, online and on the phone, delivers on time and then offer good quality food. The food here has always been great, I was so happy to see they delivered and the food and service was just as good on takeaway as it is on restaurant

This used to be the best curry in town but those days are gone I'm afraid. Coagulated pilau rice, heavily re-fried chips, it looked like I'd been served yesterday's leftovers. As a fairly regular customer I've seen the quality of food going down for a while but I've so far defended it, everyone has an off day, can't be perfect every time etc. Now, it's so consistently bad that I can't defend it any more. It's time to shop around.

Spent £25 the portion size is absolutely ridicolous and tastes so bad.

Online order had closed so i didnt get my 15% off. Brought lamb rogan josh home and it was very salty. Just tasted too oniony and i really like onions but it tastes bad. Very little meat. Peppers were raw. Curry was runny and payed for a garlic naan bread which was burnt and was not garlic. Staff however seemed niced. Thought it would be nice after seeing lots of posts but was such a let down.

Food just keeps getting better, occasionally forget something, food more than makes up for it, friendly, change a dish to your likeing, certainly best I've had in Leigh for years. Resteraunt food delivered. Well done

great food,was nice n hot on recieving the delivery, although the omlette was missing from my biryani (again) prob my fave bit ,but on the whole was lovely

We ordered a meal at 630pm and it never turned up. Tried calling and it seems phone was off the hook. Won't try again, was giving them another try after refurbishment!

Food was inedible, watery curry sauce, onion bhajis solid, naan burnt and missing items on the delivery. Won't be going back, leigh tandoori was my go to place needs a name change its not the same.

Food was shocking! Never will I order from here again. Ordered butter chicken which was tasteless and the chicken was hard. The pilau rice was literally boiled rice and food colouring. The mixed starter was tough and the poppadoms was soggy. Waste of £33

Not as good as the original. Fed arrived quickly but went straight in the bin. Omelette had crunchy bits that couldn’t be identified, ordered fried rice & received pilau. Naan bread was burnt. Just Eat have refused to refund despite photographs of the binned food being provided. A costly mistake that will not be repeated.

Ordered at 20.00pm for a 21.oopm delivery which was 20mins late the chips was cold and bread was sweaty and cold in foil curry wasn't that hot either may not order again even thou you was my first choice in curries

Spent £50 for a party. All food was overfilled into 3 Bags, therefore putting too much weight on each item. On starting to get the curries out, it was clear they had all *seeped* out of the trays. What a mess.

My madras curry was less than half full so very disappointing and the chicken didn't taste like tikka...disappointed because I been ordering from you for years first time I been disappointed

Chips were still raw..... If you can't master something as simple as chips, you shouldn't be cooking food.. The Tarka Dall sauce was literally water,salt,coriander... It was ABSOLUTELY vile, it had no Dall in it whatsoever.. The only saving grace for me was the Keema Rice. If they added a bit of garlic/onion to it for extra flavour, it would be AMAZING. I hadn't been to Leigh tandoori in years because it was disgusting the first time I ever went, so I thought I'd try again since it was new management.. bad choice.

They made my food early when I requested a set time leaving the starters cold. Half the Sauces missing Hardly any chicken in curry Nan bread was burnt

I've tried it. I wouldn't try it again. Quite small portions, quite bland for a vindaloo and the rice in the Biryani was very greasy. Biryani was unfinished (no omelette topper) and the accompanying curry sauce was thin and tasteless.

Decor is poor even though they have just reopen after a refurbishment. Tables have been covered but poorly finished, chairs have covers that are badly fitted, the room is cold and the toilets are disgusting, bin full, no hot water or dryers. service is poor as the young girl wrote the wrong curry down and forgot one of our starters so we ate at different times. No alcohol as their license has not come through and when the bill came the card machine was broken even though a takeaway was just picked up and paid by card. Curries both the same colour and texture, onion bhaji were OK, rice Ok and nan OK. Nothing special but let down by the lack of attention to the restaurant and the customers experience. First and last time we will eat here.

Used leigh tandoori for 40 yrs plus never had a bad meal yet lads are great food too

All cold, smallest king prawns in the world, meat on mixed grill was cold tough and inedible. Chicken was 26 degrees c, prawns 22 degrees c . All in the bin. Refund please

Been using leigh tandoori for 20 years .... never again !!! Food was horrible never ever tasted tikka massala like that . . Onion baji not cooked properly meat very dry in biriyani. mixed grill very dry .. phoned the restaurant to complain to be told sorry about that should have been offered a refund but nothing for the horrible food. I will not order from here again 😒 I would not recommend this place !!!!

Chips under cooked had to put them in the air.fryer and all the meat over cooked, and just not the best at all! Shame as last time we had it. It was good! Hate it when you spend your hard earn money and receive rubbish food

I hope tonight was an exception. The food is normally very nice. Tonight however, the meat was very dry. Naan breads where dry and falling apart. The onion bhaji’s where mushy and full of oil. A very poor experience to what is normally a nice place to eat

Had a notification to say it was on the way but didn’t receive it for another 25 minutes by which time it was all cold. Had to microwave everything.

Ordered a butter chicken, zero flavour and only 5 tiny chicken pieces given, garlic nan tasted plain also, wouldn’t recommend

I always order from Leigh tandoori but won't be doing again. The food was dreadful. Flavourless, bland and the rice was wet! There was a pool of water at the bottom of the tray. Very disappointed.

My food was badly burnt on the nan bread and I order a chicken tikita curry just look at how badly they burnt the food they shouldn't be selling food or allowed sell food like this oh I ordered chicken tickia curry sauce and they only gave me the chicken thus business needs to be reported to food high jean standers

Food had no flavour at all the korma taste like nothing the rest of the food only had spice no flavour and the Morita was disgusting and it is quite disappointing considering we spent over 30 pound

Really disappointed again. I think that either the chef has changed our ownership has changed. We used to love their food but lately it’s bland, portions are much smaller and the quality is poor. Really a great shame

The korma was bland and tasteless didn’t eat it

Food is usually great from here, previous order was incorrect, had item missing but that’s fine people make mistakes. Tonight’s food was not so good, korma had no flavour and the sauce tasted like warm water, chips were stale also. I like this take away so will leave it a while before giving them another go, usually great foot, recently not so much.

Food is really good but really spicy. My dad ordered a karahi which he’s had before from Leigh tandoori but it was far too spicy this time. I had a chicken tikka massala and mine had a kick. Everything else was spot on, just even the creamy curries were spicy so maybe if you’re not big on spice ask for them to tone it down a bit. Kind of ruined my dads birthday meal.

Driver initially have us the wrong order, luckily we got outside just before he drove off to get the right one. Korma was leaking all over the bottom of the bag. No mango chutneys when we ordered two which in turn made the poppadoms pointless as who likes or wants dry poppadoms ? And it's not something you can reasonably expect a restaurant to come back out for on a Saturday night.

Called in here with my daughter excellent food with awesome staff since calling in I have had a couple of delivery's

I'm guessing they've quietly changed management because they've ruined my favourite dish by changing the sauce with a genetic onion filled one. Won't be ordering again

No salad with starter or sauce, frozen chips as previously home made ,, been ordering from here for over 20 years, very disappointed ☹️

Food came super quick, piping hot and it was all delicious. Very glad to see the 20% off back, I hope it stays. Only issue is they consistently mess up the garlic and cheese naan, most of the time they just send a garlic one with no cheese and when it does come with cheese it either has hardly any in or the cheese just isn't melted at all, apart from that fantastic.

Leigh tandoori is our place of choice for take out night but one thing I would suggest is to read the notes most of the time they are being ignored.
