Friendly staff, very clean and spacious light and airy space. I’ve tried it a couple of times as I really wanted it to improve after first visit but unfortunately on second visit it was still the same. I had a bacon sandwich and it was awful, bacon had a weird smell and unpleasant taste, fatty rind left on, when I asked for tomato ketchup was given a sachet but on opening did not look or taste like ketchup, a strange clear orange colour and no taste ( can only think it’s the cheapest you can possibly get). Coffee was weak and tasteless. Cakes did not look appealing either, pre bought in, nothing fresh or homemade quality. Such a shame, improve quality of food use, make fresh, charge a bit more and could be a winner but not as it is.

Recently refurbished and re branded as a coffee shop. A great place to visit and stay awhile. Fresh sandwiches and a weekly plate of the day. Oodles of cakes and hot drinks. Fantastic location for informal business meetings.

My wife and I had lunch here on a weekday afternoon. It was before you could dine indoors, but everything was in place to make you feel safe and secure ordering your food inside, and there was plenty of seating outside in the large grassed area. This was our first visit at this hidden gem, but it certainly will not be our last. The staff were super friendly, and the food was great. We’ve lived in the area for twenty-four years and did not realise that this eatery existed – we drove past it by chance and noticed people sitting outside with food and drink, so immediately turned in and we're extremely glad that we did. This will be one of our go to places for food now that we are retired and leading a more leisurely life.

Visit this place every week. Great value for money and very friendly. My one grievance is the lack of vegetarian and vegan options. Nothing to do with allergies. Please just give us some vegetable/lentil dishes in line with current government recommendations.

This great cafe is within the Salvation Army community centre. They serve a good selection of food from sandwich to curry. Can be busy but the wait is worth it as the food is cooked fresh.

This lovely cafe is open to all members of the public and is such a find. Car parking is just outside and access is easy. They have a delicious menu at very reasonable prices and on a sunny day sitting near the windows and looking out into their lovely gardens nothing could be nicer. The staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming and the cleanliness is top notch. A great place for coffee and cake or a super lunch - well worth a detour.

Pub was quite busy with both diners and drinkers but we couldn't fault the experience. Andy looked after us, was attentive and friendly with our children and we couldn't fault the food or service. We used to visit years ago but stopped due to it going downhill. Since the change in management, this establishment is getting better every time we visit.

I went in here for some late night fishies and the chippings and when I went inside there on the floor was the remains of someones blood from a wigston punch up in the chip shopIt was not a sight a woman should see who only went in the place because she was hungryI decided against ordering seeing the state of the place and decided to raid the cupboards at home instead for something to eat as you do as a plan bI do not think I will go in here again and will choose a cleaner chip shop instead and I definitely wouldn't go in here late at night on a Friday or saturday
