Good overall experience, nice atmosphere and good food in a good location.

The atmosphere was nice. The service was very poor with a long wait between courses. This has happened twice now, and thought the first time may just be a one off but it then happened again. The sweet chilli chicken was nice as a starter as was the garlic bread. One of us had the chicken burger as a main and it was flavourless and lacked seasoning.

Came here for food after a stressful day and it is such a cozy environment. Fantastic food and excellent music. Definitely a new favourite spot

We hadn't been to The Grange Farm for a couple of years, but decided to come last minute. What a wonderful surprise to find that under the new management, the food was so much better than it was before. We ordered roast dinners which were good previously, but these were bigger and better than they used to be. The portion sizes are now much more generous, and there was a great selection of perfectly cooked vegetables. The service was excellent and despite it being busy, our server Becca was very cheerful, friendly and efficient. All the staff were lovely and clearly enjoy working there. We had previously enjoyed coming here every now and then, but today's experience was a huge step up from previous visits. Thank you so much for a wonderful afternoon of excellent food in the lovely relaxing atmosphere of this character pub and restaurant.

Had a meal here, today, Mothers Day. Food was good, but could have been warmer, our crumble and Custard was actually cold. The service really let it down, very slow, chaotic, didn't seem to have any sort of system. Sat for a long time for starters, they then brought mains, we said we were still waiting for starters, another wait. Another long wait for pudding. We asked for bill, Another wait, got bill Another long wait, had to ask if we could pay.Mothers Day is a busy day, but make sure all your staff are up to speed to cope with it. Other tables were complaining too.

The building is amazing but the food is definitely not worth the price tag. Not only did we have to wait 10 minutes before anyone spoke to us, when the older lady did she was blunt and rude and left us stood there for a further 10 minutes while they decided where we were going to sit…. When the food came it was well not worth the hype or the wait. Definitely will not be wasting £70 there again. The ONE half a carrot was lovely!

Unable to comment at this time regarding the atmosphere as we ordered two Sunday dinners for delivery, the delivery was on time and the food packaged excellently with a nice message wrote on the bag. Now to the best part, the food was absolutely delicious and a good portion size. I had the trio of meat, all of which was lovely but the crackling and pork belly were devine. We have agreed that we definitely need to visit this place to try more off the menu. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Lovely restaurant, packed as it was 50% off mains. Staff wonderful. Waited a little longer than usual, but was expected because of being very busy. Food was smashing! Definitely go again.

Mixed experience from our meal last night. Meal was ok. Service from Matthew was excellent. However: 1. It appeared short staffed. No front of house as far as we could see. We had booked a table but we had to fight our way to the bar for some attention. 2. Wine glasses smelt. They need to be washed properly. 3. The premises were extremely cold!!

Visited this lovely pub on a evening that was very cold and wet.they had rang prior to advise use yhat the heating had broken but they had coal fires that were burning well....when arrived was told they wud keep the fires burning which they did all evening and it defo took the chill away a little bit....the service was great and after placing foods for 11 it all arrived nice and hot and the food was delicious it defo took ur mind off it being a little chilli .... the dirty dishes were taken away quickly after we had all finished eating. Most plates were empty...the waiter then asked if we wud like puddings but because we had a birthday cake he returned with napkins a knife and a lighter....was much appreciated..... over all the experience was lovely and it was jus bad luck that the heating had gone down...will defo b visiting again....

Starter st and pepper calsmsri was delicious but nowhere enough mayonnaise dip. Main very salty thick gravy and no more offered, pork belly tough, chewy and presumably overcooked, far too many potatoes, crackling not crisp and couldnt be eaten. Disappointing this time.

Chicken curry was tasty but chicken over cooked. Sausage and mash was tasty but gravy not thick enough, sausage skins tough needed a steak knife to cut through and not enough mash. Because who served us was excellent and the Grange has a lovely atmosphere. Will go again and try the fish and chips.

Went there for a Sunday lunch with a 96 year old who's birthday it was, the place was freezing, we did bring this to the attention of the staff and ask if we could be moved, we were told all other tables were booked, we were then told they would provide us with a small heater unfortunately that never materialised. We all sat eating in coats. The food was reasonable, I personally found the gravy very salty I think it is a tad on the expensive side.

The service was very slow and when our food came out after over an hour wait, we had to send back 5 of the 7 dishes ordered as they were cold. We did eventually have hot food delivered to our table about an hour and half after we had originally placed our order and the waiter was very apologetic and we were not charged for any of our meals, only drinks. The pub was also not very warm, radiators did not appear to be on.

The atmosphere was let down by the coldness of the pub\restaurant and the management's reluctance to turn the radiator on when asked.

My daughter had the main of fish cakes, potatoes, and broccoli, the fish cakes were very small, burnt and when turned over the bottom was missing where the fish cake had burnt to the tray. The fish cakes are not worth the price of the main meal.

It’s such a lovely place and we can take our dog and sit by the fire. It’s ok the food but could be better. The smallest pot of mushy peas with my fish and chips and the puff pastry on the pie was hard.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you again for being so accommodating with our large booking which was quite last minute, for our baby shower afternoon. It was a perfect afternoon and the food and service was brilliant. The kids had an amazing time and I really appreciate that you were able to extend our space once additional guests had arrived. It really eased the stress of organising the afternoon away. The food was super delicious too! It was lovely to hear our 3 year old son say to us on the way home "I really had the best day at the pub today"! We will definately be back again for family meals once our 2nd boy arrives soon! Service was a little slow, it took 20 minutes to get our drinks. Staff were very accomodating with requests for allergy information and a smaller meal for my granddad

After visiting a few times before and having a wonderful experience and lovely food so I decided to book this meal for as a get together before my son went off to travelling. Family of travelled two hours to meet for the meal so it was really important that we had a good time, hence why I booked somewhere trusted that would before When we arrived, my mum and her partner had arrived first and had totally been ignored then the rest of the group of that arrived and I mentioned to somebody after no one acknowledge us that we had a table booked. Once we had been acknowledged. the staff are very friendly , they said they were just getting the table ready that’s not problem at all. I understand they have been busy then we were shown to a table and asked if we like drinks et cetera by a very polite lady it’s quite a long wait for the meal, but we appreciate that as they were eight of us when the meal came out , they were all lukewarm if that apart from the burger and the macaroni cheese. The steaks were unable the chips were two as a loop warm to eat and enjoy so the lady gladly change them with not a problem at all. She apologise enough, but the members that had their food taken away some hot chips to keep them going because we were all eating so in that sense, it was dealt with rather swiftly. They replacement meals were a lot better and did not take too long to come out so although the meals we ordered at first were not acceptable how it was dealt with was really swiftly really politely, then they change the bill appropriately and gave us some discount, and in fairness, they couldn’t do enough for us , so although part of our experience was negative it was dealt with was positive so I would visit them again because I felt this was a one off hence sadly why I can’t give it any more stars. I don’t know if there was a lack of staff or change of chef or something could happen hence why this happened, but I have to thank the young lady that served us as she couldn’t have done enough, and she was gutted that everything that would come through it happened .

Great food and good value just painfully slow service. Staff were lovely, they just needed more of them.

We went for Christmas dinner yesterday and although the food was alright (nothing special especially for the price), the service wasn't the best I'm afraid to say and also being put on the spot asking to pay a service charge because 'we're all working Christmas day' I found quite uncomfortable/inappropriate. Of course we would have left a tip but we should be able to decide that based on the service received. Our mains came before they even cleared our starters away but then we had to wait about 45 minutes after the mains for the desserts. I know it is busy but to then be asked about the service charge not long after that didn't sit right. The atmosphere was also not quite on point after an argument broke out (not anyone's fault or the fault of The Grange Farm but still, paid a lot and not really what you want!). Quite disappointed unfortunately.

Went here for two dinners just before Christmas. A few small hiccups, mainly due to staff to guest ratio, but staff did their best to try and resolve these. Good evenings overall, and lovely ambience.

Homely pub setting with a wide ranging menu and friendly staff. Food is slightly more expensive than your typical local but overall a good experience all round. Large outdoor area for the summer months.

Brunch with Santa was brilliant value for money. The staff (Eloise and Andy) were very attentive and the atmosphere was cosy. The gifts from Santa were very good and my 8 year old niece loved them.

The Christmas dinner was the best we have ever had in a pub, king prawn and smoked salmon cocktail to start, plenty of turkey with all the trimmings plus Christmas pudding, excellent value and excellent service by Becca, i would definitely recommend the Grange Farm.

UPDATE #2 So been back here again. Food is nioce and great atmosphere for drinks. But the service is very slow here and they kept making mistakes like missing food on the plate, salmon on starters, veg on the roasts, frozen chicken stuff like that. But being slow is the worst 3.5H being here and we ordered quick.

We were a party of 10 including a 4 year old. Our waiter Arran was superb. So friendly and patient and no problem to help us clear drink spillage! The food however was very average unfortunately. The room was not very warm even though the fire was lit. If not for Arran it would have been a slightly disappointing visit.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch. Becca was our server and she did a great job. Will return, thank you ☺️

This was a regular Family meal at this location. The weather was chilly outside as it was inside! There were so many draughts coming from all directions due to the fire at one end and the door at the other. Possibly an internal glass porch round the door might solve this. Heaters were provided but for us didn't help. I was near a radiator but that seemed lukewarm at 8pm. We waited an hour for our order to arrive, we didn't have a starter but usually a 30 minute wait is acceptable. This was the first meal I've eaten with my coat on inside! Perhaps a knee blanket could be offered during freezing weather. Apart from this the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good and the portions generous.

Service and good both great but the place is far too cold, an efficient heating system would make dining with you an even better experience

Food was excellent sadly the hot chocolate was Lukewarm the staff kindly gave another one I would have preferred the hot drink served in a slimmer mug than a wide cup which made it go cold much quicker. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Visited today to meet a friend for lunch, warm reception by the young man on arrival , shown to our table , umbrella put up as it was starting to rain . We were served by Shania , such a lovely young lady , happy friendly , nothing was too much trouble for her .very attentive .throughout our visit. I came to The Grange Farm today with my family. We all ordered The Sunday roast. The Turkey was hot and moist cooked to perfection it was still really hot even tho we were served outside. I would of taken a picture but the food looked so good I forgot to take one! Lol silly me. The service staff were so polite and friendly which is always nice to see. Overall my visit to The Grange Farm was amazing couldn’t fault anything, please thank the chefs for me for the awesome food! We will definitely be back again!

Went just post lockdown. Have been here many times before and it has been great. Just visited post lockdown and it seems Vintage Inns (so not just this pub) have increased their prices on food and drink. The food wasn't bad enough to complain about but it was really poor quality and you're looking at an average of £16 for a main meal which were small portions and bad quality - the best part about the meal were the chips - next time we'll just order a bowl of them and nothing else.

We was so pleased to be able to return to the Grange Farm and we was not disappointed. We was greeted by a friendly young lady for our afternoon visit who explained everything efficiently to us and showed us to our table. Menu is limited however we still felt there was plenty of choice. The garden tables are well spaced out and hand sanitiser stations positioned outside made us feel reassured as this was our first visit since lockdown. Food was delicious and service friendly. We will sure to be back soon, thankyou!

The Grange Farm is one of my favourite places to go. Having visited on the first date of re-opening, it is safe to say I am so thoroughly impressed with the Grange and the staff for how COVID compliant the venue is. Rules were clearly stated, clear signs, track and trace followed, masks worn by staff, fully sanitised areas and table service. Could not ask for more. The outside seating is lovely, and a bonus that the sun was out. There are big umbrellas even if the weather is not what you expected. The food was amazing, really good quality and great portion sizes. We had several gins and the staff helped us to decide! Very quick and did not have to wait long at all. Cannot thank the staff enough for being so friendly and for working so hard to get the Grange open - we have missed it so much!

COVID management in place, table was sanitised in front of us and clear instructions were given. Professional, welcoming staff and good atmosphere for families. Food was very tasty and quantity was just right. No wastage. Kids enjoyed the food so much. We will come back soon after the lockdown. Thank you so much.....highly recommend

Firstly the service was amazing! Very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and fantastic portion sizes. We have been slightly nervous about going to restaurants during this strange time but felt much more comfortable with all the safety regulations put in place by the staff. Thank for a lovely evening and we will definitely be coming again!

We arrived to be greeted by attentive staff, fully Covid-19 compliant. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Food and service really good. Would recommend the squid starter. Will definitely be returning to support our local pub.
