Here on holidays from Australia . Rocked up at 930 placed my order ,food ready in no time. Got back to the hotel and had the most succulent chinese meal i have ever had. Perfect fried rice. Peking Chicken crispy on outside moist and juicy inside . Satay chicken melt in your mouth deliciousness. Definetly 5 star

I placed an order in person at 10.15pm, and was told it was cash only. I said that’s no problem, I’ll be back in 20 minutes with cash. I went to get petrol and get cash, came back and they were closed. Why take the order if you didn’t intend on making it. I returned within the 20 minute window I’d suggested, well before their stated closing time, 11pm. I’m a return customer and this was really disappointing, total disregard for my time.

It is great service and the food was lovely

Ordered beef chow mein no onions. By the time I got home and opened it it was full of onions. Unable to take it back complete waste of money ...avoid

Absolutely rank a drizzle of barbecue sauce on dry ribs Curry sauce tasted like Thai curry Other stuff was ok but over rank Called for refund of at least the ribs and curry sauce they were rude mite call health and safety on this one . The food could have been picked back up.

Literally worst order I’ve ever received the only good thing was the accurate time scale of the just east estimated time the portion sizes are tiny each tub was half full apart from my order of rice which was burnt and inedible literally never been so shocked at the quality of food avoid at all cost defo listen too the reviews unlike what I did literally cannot believe I’ve just wasted £30 on this order

Ordered via deliveroo, and actual delivery was an hour later than the estimated delivery time Order was 'out for delivery' for a long time, hence all the food was lukewarm when it arrived late, and needed microwaved Food itself was pretty average, and would have been just about OK if it hadn't been cold. Quite expensive for what it was too, would have thought some free prawn crackers or something would have been sent for an order >£45 Wouldn't order from here again

Very disappointed with this place. I called in to order. I told the lady on the phone that we preferred crispy yet they put sauce on it? Ruined our dinner! Although I arrived after estimate time I still had to wait only to come home to realise our night in is ruined because of wrong food order.we spent around £40 ! Very disappointed! Never again!

We stayed at Holiday Inn express in waterfront, this is the closer Chinese Take Away. The food is delicious especially the ribs.

Steer clear of this place. We ordered through deliveroo, and not only was our small order 40 minutes late, it was also inedible. Noodles are worse than instant noodles, the prawn toast was soppy, and the meat inside the dumplings was uncooked. The whole food tasted like chemicals, almost like soap. Also looked terrible. I highly question the hygiene of this place. To top it all, we called the restaurant to ask where our order was after 40 minuted past the estimated arrival, and the staff was rude, made no effort to speak in understandable English, asked our address twice, and only then sent a driver. I had no time to say a word, they hung up on me.

Very good food and large portions

They will tell you how much time you have to wait after you have given your order and already paid. Unfortunately for me they said I have to wait 25mins. But in the end I waited for 40mins for my takeaway food. When I politely gave advice to the staff that it's best they should inform the customer of time before paying, she got defensive and said I should tell that to the chef/cook myself, and not to her. She displayed a really bad attitude and was quite unprofessional. As for the food, it was below average, not worth the wait. I would not go back to this place.

Bought special chow mein and chips for my dinner and it was probably the worst quality chow mein I ever bought . Very Shabby portion , you could literally count and soggy chips . Are you serious?😡

Awful!! Ordered from just eat while we were in Edinburgh- unaware that this takeaway is actually in Leith- don’t know why just eat promote places not in the area! Food came about 30 minutes after hey stated- even given driver instructions to call when he was at the apartment as there was no buzzer- he did call but shouting he wasn’t at the right apartment and couldn’t get to us in his car. Friend went down and going him but was rather rude still. Good itself as cold, rubbery and tasteless- don’t bother. Really not nice

This place is truly bad. Rubbish service. Ordered online and never received the food. No excuse as to why when I called them. Looking at the reviews below it’s probably a good thing I didn’t eat from here - sounds awful.

This place has a severe attitude problem. I requested salt and pepper be added to my omelette when I visited In store not only is the place unwelcoming but the staff are too. A Chinese that has a variety of salt and pepper dishes. So a simple request for a bit of seasoning on an omelette after it was cooked was refused. Absolute stinking attitude I chose to cancel my order and leave

Waited way over an hour. Fried rice and curry sauce. Barely any sauce and tiny portion. Revolting chips that were freezing and chewy. Disgusting. Once and never ever again.

True human with heart of gold and hands of an amazing chef. An employee missed her £20 bill on his table, he phone her up and told her that she misplaced her money on his desk. His Chow Mein are awesome and so are his fried rice with duck and sauce are amazing.

this is the only chinese carry out we order. have tried others but this is the one we look forward to. my husband and I dont eat much so our order usually lasts 2 meals. Think this is good value for money in comparison with others.

I ordered through Deliveroo. The app was never updated to tell me my food was here. The restaurant claims calling to say my food is here but my phone was by me and no calls came through. They blocked my refund request claiming it was delivered and then ignored my phone calls.

Walked in off the street was my first time ordering from here. My food didn't take long and was delicious. I will definitely be ordering from here again. 👍👍

I have order from Lee's Kitchen many times and never disappointed. The food always is tasty and comes at good price compared to other places that charge more for same thing. Always good quality, I would highly recommend. I know Lee's Kitchen is busy place so I order in plenty time but most of the time the food is arriving within half an hour and always is warm. Never had cold food. One of best Chinese takeaway in Leith.

Writing this here as Just Eat refused to publish my review. Worst chinese ever. Prawn Toast was inedible it tasted rotten as did the prawn crackers. Salt and Chilli Chicken tasted of nothing but was a good portion size for the price. Chips with curry sauce came soggy and more like mashed potato when you tried to pick some up. Don't order from here its awful.

Ordered two meals S/S PORK and Pork Curry. S/S pork sauce had no substance and bland. Pork curry, I had to search for the pork was more like an onion curry which it mostly contained of. The sauce had no substance/taste it was like packet sauce. Having Chinese meals every week I think this it the worst I have had.

The rice here is very good, the chips could be better there a little over cooked. The noodoe here is also extremely tasty. Would definitely return and recommend to others

Sadly a very disappointing take-away. Ordered the vegetarian Singapore chow mein, it was essentially just noodles and I kid you not 1 slice of green pepper & a sliver of onion. The price was very slightly cheaper than the meat version so just felt ripped off. The chips & curry sauce were ok.

Amazing food! The battered sweet and sour chicken pieces were even in a paper bag with holes so they remained super crispy instead of sweating in a box and becoming soggy. Will definately be coming back!

Partner just phoned for a delivery and was rudely told to go somewhere else as she was "changing too much of the menu" even though she was just asking for her meal to be plain. AVOID!

always order from here never had a problem love their stuff but last night when we ordered it came and they forgot one of our orders which was mines and when we phoned up to tell them they said we never asked for it and where too busy to fix the order which is bad manners cause we paid for the full meal at £21 or something and never fixed the order or even apologized it would be great if they could step up and apologize and be more polite next time

Way too sweet, too salty and way too much MSG. I think they're cooking for people who have annihilated their taste buds, like heavy smokers. £30 wasted!

My husband loves the Kung Po chicken from here- and he has tried it everywhere in Edinburgh. He has been ordering it from here and picking up once every week since it opened- and has never been disappointed. The staff are always friendly and nice. Based on my husband’s experience, I am truly surprised at the negative reviews here.

Driver turned up 20 minutes early and was angry and aggressive when we got home ten minutes later (still earlier than the confirmed delivery time). Driver was completely inappropriate, left my parter shaken and we will not be ordering from here again.

Curry sauce just tasted like coconut . Chicken was chopped reformed cubes and tasted bland. Had to wait 20 mins when we went to collect it even though had called up to order in advance then it wasn't even hot!!?? Not great

Ordered 4 items plus rice. Kung Po Beef, Chicken with Lemon Sauce, Crispy Chicken with Plum Sauce and Chicken with Orange Sauce. Also Rice. All three chicken dishes were identical with a gluey flavourless sauce with pieces of pineapple in it. Hardly any jalapeno in Kung Po and no coloured vegetables at all. All dishes bland and flavourless. Rice was ok.

I tried Lee's Kitchen since 3 months ago and I've never had any bad experience. The food is good, tasty and really chinease style. They spend usually 10 minutes to serve the order and if you need cash you have a Free Cash point so close to the restaurant door. I allways order in the restaurant and I don't how is the delivery service but they are kind. Good food and good price 😊

The young woman who served us at the counter was very helpful and polite. She patiently went through my options as a vegetarian and our food was ready within 10 minutes! Delicious food, similar standard to other goof Chinese takeaways and quite cheap!

I waited an hour and twenty mins for my food, when it arrived it was cold, I asked for a chicken and mushroom curry what I got was a mushroom curry not a hint of chicken , the chowmein was very greasy and for some reason there was a huge piece of rubbery egg in it!!! As for the prawn crackers they were soft, think they had been lying for a long time. I tried ten times phoning them to complain, but no one answered. My review for Lee's kitchen is stay away their food is terrible

After waiting for about 20/25 minutes for your food witch I don't mind as it proves the take away is busy so obviously the food should be good but unfortunately after that wait we get home after a 2 minute walk up the road and the first thing we had to do was microwave the food as it was luke warm at best. Not a good advert for Lees kitchen

FOOD POISONING...................ordered from here on just eat. Two chicken curry's and rice. My partner arrived home late for work so decided to have his curry the next morning. I had my curry that night and it was amazing tasted really good and what you would expect. The following morning I got up. For work and as soon as I got up this horrible hard headache came on. I was getting ready to leave for work when I started shacking/shivering and then had hot and cold sweats through my whole body it's was horrible I went pale white. And suddenly I was sick. I was being sick for over an hour. Spoke with a paramedic and they said I had food poisoning. I had never had anything like this before and it was an exp I would not wish on anybody. Had to stay of work and I lost a days wage. I called Lees kitchen and explained I was furious. I wanted a full refund as it was the last they could do for what I had been put through. My partner through his curry straight in the bin that morning. The manager on the phone was very rude shouting at me down the phone say they have been running 6 years and this has never happened and said it was not there curry. Well I had nothing else to eat that day fron being so busy with work. And in the end she gave me £5. £5 when it came to £18.30 all together i was shocked £5 refund her excuse was that's the best I can do. I wanted a full refund. I have contacted food standards agency and they will be inspecting lees kitchen. I would never recommend this place to anyone and I will never order from here again. If a kid or and elderly person had that curry it could have been fetal. Do not order from this place!!

They are terrible!! They couldn't find our address after I gave them a detailed explanation on how to find it (easy to find for anyone else without any instructions) this took over an hour then they stoped trying and stoped answering their phones and refused to give a refund! Then when I said I was going to take matters further they final called back and arranged to meet us again [by this time it had been 3.5 hours after order time] After going on a wild goose chase finally found the driver. When we tried the food it was not nice, the curry sauce was horrible and the chicken was so processed it didn't even taste like chicken. Never go there!! Terrible customer service and food overall

Fancied Chinese, unfortunately what arrived was barely consumable, let alone moderately oriental. The duck spring roll we had ordered resembled baby extremities, wrapped in a delicate little pastry nappy. I threw mine in the bin after one bite. The pork udon was more like a udon't , the shards of depressed meat reminiscent of a red leather handbag. I chewed, determined and stubborn. Maybe the 'chicken satay' will restore my faith....? Maybe not. Ah, oh so watery and oh so sad. I wish I'd thought more carefully and just ordered a kebab.

Appalling time to wait for our delivery, our order was missing items and we found little shards of copper wire in our meals so had to throw the entire order out. Wouldn't recommend this takeaway.

I have just had the most appalling experience with the delivery driver. She rings me and quite rudely tells me to come and let her in as she's been waiting for 10 minutes I apologise and explain that the buzzer for my flat hadn't rung to which she cut me off and carried on ranting about how she's waiting etc. Anyway, I went down ready to apologise as its not particularly a nice day and I had no idea she was waiting so long and this horrible woman actually shoves the delivery bag at me and storms off whilst muttering under her breathe. I call after her that there is no need to be so rude which she responds to with swearing. Absolute shame because the food is delicious but I do not wish to be spoken to like that again so I won't be a returning customer.

All I can say about lee's kitchen is we have only been once but I will definitely be going back because they have just made me the best lemon chicken I have ever tasted plus everything was cooked fresh witch is a change from other Chinese takeaways in the area
