Really, really good. Friendly and reasonably priced.

Fantastic portions/prices and lovely owners, will definitely make sure to come again! Card also accepted via bank transfer which was useful without cash.

Great quality food, unusual options, above and beyond service - I was [somewhat] wary of this establishment, purporting to be a chippie bit with a small menu and (ostensibly, when I arrived) it doubling as a Chinese takeaway. However, by the time I had 'bank transferred payment, the wonderfully golden-looking Haddock was already being pulled from the fryer to drain...so quickly in fact, that I didn't even have time to be served the cheeky already-made pancake roll I saw in the hot cabinet (to snack upon whilst waiting for my main order) let alone to eat it. I went back to my car, parked directly outside, to wait as I could see progress through the window, but the owner came outside to deliver my order to us in the car. She was very friendly with my family and we bid goodbye...then she came back to offer 'trays' and forks, and left again to fetch them for us. The fish was every bit as good to eat as it looked and a legitimate "large", the mushy was plentiful and of perfect consistency (not miniscule of portion and near solid like half outlets serve), the duck chow mein was massive, and my son barely ate half (it's O.K., we're massive doggy bag aficionados) and the salt'n'chilli chips were a delicious first for me...oh, and that pancake roll, by the way, was very good (maybe could've done with a few prawns...like the old days pancake roll) by the way - fat, full and tasty. We ate in the car and left...positively replete

Had take away fish and chips for 4 and it was delicious. Definitely will go back again.

Chinese dish here is so good and very authentic. Coke is large proportion, and is really cheap for the quality of food they provide. Staffs are really kinda as well.

Very friendly people (the owner lived in our country, the Netherlands, for years), and above all excellently prepared food. Huge portions of fish and chips of very good quality, and the hamburger sandwiches were also more than excellent.

The best fish and chips in Salisbury. Ran by a lovely couple who are very friendly, the large portion of food came fresh, was all well cooked, and delicious. They even gave me a free packet of biscuits as it’s Christmas. Can’t recommend enough!

Family run business Mr & Mrs Lee very warm and friendly people, the chips are perfectly cooked nice crunch and soft fluffy inside, there fish is excellent golden crispy batter tasty fish. Good value for what you get, I have tried others in Salisbury and they are the best. Good central location in the city.

Best chippy and Chinese in Salisbury. Fish cooked fresh in nut oil, and combines Cod,haddock and Hake for choice. The Chinese menu is kept to the favourites so no complex choices. The portions and premium cuts are best value for money, and the husband and wife team couldn't be friendlier.

THE WORST CHIPS I HAVE EVER HAD! Called in last night for the first time around 11.00pm. Lee, if it was him sat dozing no customers. I asked for chips and peas - and I thought to myself - that's good, freshly cooked chips. No....... awful little bits of chips with the odd whole one - £4.95 (large).. Absolutely awful - I'd hate to be there when it's really busy. I would avoid. Ps he waters down the squeeze bottle of tomato sauce. I think that sums it up.

Been using Lee's for a couple of years and always enjoyed the food and service. So why write now? Last Friday I ordered a selection of Fish & Chips and Sausage & Chips for a club social evening. All prepared on time ready for collection, well packed and hot - sos far so good. Most impressive thing, apart form the taste, was that more than 50% of the families present commented on how good the food was and where had I got the F&C from. Well done Mr Lee

I get fish and chips from here fairly regularly. It's always good, the portions are very generous and the service is friendly. They really need to start taking cards though, I never carry cash any more! (you can also pay by bank transfer, which is weird)

So oily I couldn't eat it I know it was going make me ill I used all my napkins in the car just to get it out of the paper then the taste was of old oil. First time there and the last . I'll have tea when I get home .

Wish I'd found this little gem of a takeaway sooner. Best fish and chips I've had in a while (crispy batter and you must try the salt and 'pepper' chips, absolutely delicious). The Chinese food is scrummy too. Weirdly, we wanted fish and chips while in Bournemouth today and the family decided we should drive back to Salisbury for Lee's fish and chips. It was fantastic as always, so I decided to finally submit a review!

Went to order fish and chips and had to walk all the way to Tesco's cash machine in the pouring rain as they wouldn't take card payments. They kindly gave me my curry source free of charge but my wife's fish was very greasy and our chips where overcooked. My sons scampi was also overcooked and my burger tasted like rubber and I didn't eat all of it . So after getting soaking wet and the poor food I wont be going back and wished that when they told me they only took cash and told me the nearest cash machine was in the market square, some distance away I wont be coming back. Only went as it had good reviews but after this experience I am not sure how they got good reviews and will only be giving them one stars.

First time visit to Lee's very nice and friendly customer service. The portions are definitely worth the price and food was nice and warm.

Found this shop by accident when walking round Salisbury. We decided to have a bag of chips. These would have been a great protion of chips if they didnt have so much salt in them. We could not eat them.

Went for our second time tonight, we had 2 small chips, a large battered sausage, a half pound cheese burger with mushy peas and curry all this cost less then £14. All of the food was amazing and there was easily enough chips for 4 people (only needed enough for 2) everything was cooked to order and ready in about 10 minutes. The shop is spotless and the people that run the shop are absolutely lovely.

Great place, I was visiting Salisbury, first went to Harbour but got turned away. Glad I was, these were the best fish and chips I've had in ages. Really nice family run business. Thank you.

Visiting Salisbury and fancied a few chips and curry sauce as my partner just has to have curry sauce. Found this place online and as soon as my Partner realised was run by a Chinese family she had to try it. She rates every Chinese by their sauces. She was not disappointed "one of the best curry sauces she has had" were her words. You can tell it was made on the premises. Great spicy flavour. Not your usual chip shop curry sauce. The chip portions were larges, crispy and grease free.. Only reason not 5 stars is there were a little too many small crispy bits and just standard chip shop sausage but that is only negative. Friendly owners and I am sure if I lived locally it would be a weekly visit. If the owners read this all I can say is (m̀hgòi)

Fui a Lee's un viernes a comprar pescado y patatas fritas. Sin embargo, decidimos comprar un chino. Comida deliciosa y porciones grandes, todas muy sabrosas. Toda la comida es preparada frente a usted por el dueño muy acogedor y amable y su encantadora esposa. La comida todavía estaba bien caliente cuando llegamos a nuestro alojamiento, a 14 minutos a pie. Gracias.

Shame. Friendly service. The fish was good but chips were awful, ...chewy!! Maybe recooked? Also found we were one portion of chips short once home! Actually didn't matter though as portion sizes were big and didn't eat chips anyway as they were chewy little scraps. Wish they had have been like the ones in the photo!

Best straight up fish n chips in Salisbury. 1# For service. The husband and wife duo are so welcoming and wonderful with my children. Fantastic fresh fish. Super generous portion size (no measuring of teeny amounts into a plastic tray here). We also from time to time supliment our fish n chips with some Chinese with salt and pepper king prawn and chili beef as favourites. A local gem.

Food was very disappointing, chips were greasy and obviously recooked. Though service was friendly and polite, in the end we had to throw food away.

The portion sizes are massive, you won't need a large chips!

Harlees estaba cerrado, así que decidimos ir a Lees por mi pescado y patatas fritas, mi compañero se fue como yo tenía el perro, y le dijeron que solo aceptaban efectivo. , sin tarjetas, sin contactless, esto no estaría tan mal, pero el cajero automático más cercano no está cerca y estaba lloviendo. Todavía tienen 4. 7 en las reseñas de Google, por lo que debe valer la pena…. .Solo el cielo sabe cómo tienen esa puntuación, cuando abrí el pescado, la masa era bastante espesa, se veía roja como el mismo tipo de masa que usan para las bolas de gambas, etc., por lo que tampoco era particularmente ligera. Esto habría sido bastante malo, pero el pescado dentro era delgado, muy delgado y con la mitad del grosor de la masa, también sabía congelado.Las patatas fritas estaban bien, pero apenas tibias, muy pesadas.Nunca volvería.

Just tried this Chinese chip shop.We had chow mien,sweet and sour prawn balls a salt and pepper chips and it was the best.Probably the nicest I have ever had.Not a huge menu but really good and the service was really good and helpful staff

Viajé desde Escocia para visitar a la familia antes de Año Nuevo y necesitaba cenar, así que fui por pescado y papas fritas. Pedimos pescado grande y pequeño y chips pequeños con guisantes blandos. Masa crujiente encantadora y buen pescado y grandes porciones. Mi novio y yo compartimos unas pequeñas fichas que era suficiente. Propietarios muy conversadores y amables. Además de pescado y papas fritas, también tienen un pequeño menú de la comida china esencial. Utilizamos la segunda porción de papas fritas como base para la receta de frittata de la tienda de papas fritas que encontramos en línea para el desayuno del día siguiente, ¡quién sabe!

Looks a bit low-rent externally but inside tidy and spotlessly clean. Fish in batter was freshly cooked, hot and crispy, as were the chips. Portions generous to a fault - my large cod and small chips would have been ample for two hungry adults. Pleasant friendly service. Ignore the plastic and formica; you're not going to be eating in the shop! Highly recommended.

Fuimos a Lee esta noche y decidimos tomar algo del menú chino, ya que normalmente tenemos pescado y papas fritas que son muy sabrosas y tienen una buena relación calidad-precio. No tienen un gran menú chino, pero parecen tener todos los favoritos. Así que si estás visitando la ciudad o un local, te recomendaría encarecidamente esta joya para llevar, no te decepcionará.
