Hoi Fan in Wiltshire

Well, as far as I knew, Hoi Fan was the best in Salisbury. Didn't realize it had changed hands. ordered several items. I normally go to Chef China, and will still be going to Chef China, this is no longer the best in Salisbury, expensive!

Very good food, freshly made... Ambience is not important, as the food is only ordered and picked up.

Far too expensive compared to other takeaways and not necessarily as good. The only thing that they've got going for them is that they Saturday lunch times ?

The best authentic Chinese takeaway I’ve had in Salisbury! A work colleague (also a former chef like myself) recommended Hoi Fan as a great place to get Chinese food, and has not disappointed me. Sadly agree with others, the food since the new owners have taken over is quite unpleasant which is such a shame as it was brilliant before.

I'm from Singapore. I've just moved here for more than a month. This is the best Chinese takeaway restaurant I've moved here. Fast food, the dishes are very fresh. If you want good food, you can come here.

Food not great at all. This is the first time I’ve been since the new owners have taken over. The food has gone downhill vastly. The service was quick but the food is now bland, it had been fantastic before, recipes have definitely changed. I have been a customer for years, but unless it changes I won’t be going back.

Food tasted amazing. One of the best Chinese takeaways I've had for a while. Had a mix of dishes - beef, seafood, special fried rice. All cooked fresh and to a great standard.

Absolutely love this place! The food is fab and the service is great. This has definitely become our Chinese takeaway of choice.

Since changing hands the food is horrendous! My parents have been going here before I was born! Such a shame 😞 £40 down the drain and going to bed feeling sick! Do not waste your time or money.

Shame to write a bad review for this take out as we’ve loved going there for years. I think they’ve recently changed owners and the food has gone downhill. Lovely staff and service was quick but the food is now just bland and unappealing. My recommendation for the owners is to change their recipes up. Curry sauce was really greasy, chips tasted stale, chicken balls/vegetable roll were overdone. Don’t think we’ll be going back unless it changes.

Amazing food you get far more for your money than any where else it also tastes the best! The service is perfect as well my favourite place 5*s all day!!!!!!

We were staying in the area at an AirBNB and looked up the local Chinese take-away and discovered Hoi Fan. So glad we did we did as the food was fantastic. Lots of it and very tasty. We went for the meal for two at £26.50. Thoroughly enjoyed it. If we are in Salisbury again we would have no hesitation going there again.

Our local take away and they’ve never failed us! Eaten from here so many times and every time is super quick and incredibly tasty. Couldn’t recommend them more!

Having been new to the area, I've tried all of the local takeaways and hoi fan absolutely cannot be beaten. The crispy chili beef is so crispy, the rice is always perfect, food is always piping hot and fresh. I am yet to have a single dish that I've not been impressed with. Amazing 👏

Best chicken in batter/balls with the sweet n sour sauce I've ever had in my life . Fact!. In fact all of the food was top notch .very much highly recommended going and getting your Chinese meal from here. It's lovely 😍 100% winner Chinese 🏆 .

Now i got addicted to those awesome large pancake roll 😋it's big size and packed inside with crunchy fresh beansprouts not over cooked and crispy outside with lightly battered. it just delicious! Hoi Fan dishes are well balanced flavour not too salty not too oily for my taste most dishes I have ordered from them were all very good . I am happy to find this place.

We love Hoi Fan. Always cooked fresh to order.. and no additives/ msg... A family business with a personal touch. Nothing else compares in Salisbury.

Bloody wonderful haven't had a Hoi Fan for a few years, only reason being because we moved, however after many a disappointing chinese experiences elsewhere over the years, i thought id slow down on the bevys, get it the motor and take a little drive. It took a while to get through on the old dog and bone, but it was worth it and i'm glad i stayed strong and didnt give up!Food was great and the staff were enjoyable. In my opinion and thst of my next door neighbour Bernard, this is the No1 chinese on Salisbury.

Wow. Finding a good Chinese takeaway can be hard work but I'm glad I listened to all the great reviews online of Hoi Fan. I ordered an array of things, they were all fresh, not greasy and incredibly tasty. Boyfriend also agreed it was the best takeaway he'd ever had in Salisbury. Staff are also really nice. 10/10!

This is the best (and friendliest) takeaway in Salisbury. The prices are good and the staff go out of their way to get to know you; it really feels like a local takeaway. An example of this being that after moving away from the area for three years I came back and they still remembered who I was and what my usual order was; you really don’t get that kind of service these days. Quality of food is great, portion size is nice and large too.

We have been loyal customers to Hoi Fan for many years and the personal service and excellent food is second to none.Yesterday, we introduced our 2 young children to Chinese food for the first time to celebrate Chinese New Year. I don't often write reviews for takeaway food but felt compelled to do so. Hoi Fan's food is outstanding. The flavours are delicious, excellent quality ingredients and my tummy feels like it has eaten something really healthy. When arriving I was greeted with a genuine smile and was made to feel welcome by the lady behind the counter. When I said I had travelled 10 miles to try the food several of the chefs popped their heads round the door to see who I was, they all smiled. They are a very nice happy family and it shows in the yummyness of their food. I am always suspicious of takeaway food, the ingredients they use, the cleanliness of their kitchen but I could see through the door that it was very organised and very clean. The food I ordered was all vegetarian apart from the Hong Kong king prawn which was excellent too. The menu I tried was 9, 12A, 84, S2, S3, S4. The portions were a good size. Hoi Fan's takeaway food is of restaurant standard and I fully recommend their food. Very nice indeed.

I ordered chicken chow mein and chicken balls, both tasted pretty good. Unfortunately their COVID precautions were non existent, and they served several people without masks. None of the chefs appeared to be wearing masks either.

Ordered the special fried rice topped with BBQ sauce this evening. Easily the most bland thing I've ever eaten from a Chinese. Virtually no meat 2 prawns and no BBQ sauce. Onions undercooked. Meal was bland, unappetising and lacking ingredients that are on the menu

Pretty good Chinese takeout that opens late. Tried their signature Hoi Fan rice, and it had a good mixture of different meats and flavors over plenty of rice. Prices were decent. The lady who runs it is very friendly. No seating at all for eat in, strictly take out only.

Food was good and quickly ready for pickup but be careful to confirm order received a no 75 instead of 25. They are super busy and this is the second time an error has occurred with similar sounding numbers.

£41 worth of food. Shredded Chilli beef was inedible, no beef just deep fried crispy bits. Chicken fried rice and chow mein both had hardly any meat and the little there was wasn't at all nice. Salt and Chilli chicken was average but the portion was far more like a starter than a main dish. I ordered this off the back of all the positive reviews but honestly this food was horrendous. The reviews must be paid for.

This has got to be the best Chinese takeaway in Salisbury. While others have come and gone, kept their same name but the owners have sold and gone down hill Hoi Fan has remained constant - call in and try you wil not be disappointed.
