Ordered take away. Was told 45 mins. 1 and half hours later it arrived. STONE COLD!! Managed to catch delivery guy and sent it back. I phoned lees again. Asked how long would the fresh meal take. They said another 45 mins. Ridiculous! 3 hours for an order to be progressed? Please, there are other good take aways in chippenham. Do yourself a favour and use them.

Ordered from here after a recommendation and wasn’t disappointed, delivery was fast, food hot, and probably one of the best Chinese I’ve had

Having just moved to the area and missing our takeaway treat we thought we'd give them a try as they were close. Ordered on line and paid on line which was very convenient and easy. a little over 40 GBP for what would appear to be re heated food. None of us enjoyed the food at all. Chowmein noodles were the same for each dish with the Chicken or Beef slopped on top. Beef satay scewers looked like old leather on a stick and didn't taste much better either. Satay prawns were in brown liquid,not a peanut in sight, prawn toasts looked and tasted like leftovers. Sorry but very bland , tatseless and not appetising at all.

We had chicken curry, chicken chow mein, boiled rice , sweet and sour chicken Hong kong style, sweet and sour chicken balls, it was all pretty awful, not sure what they used for chicken , but was clearly reformed chicken, the chicken in all dishes was spongy, the curry sauce tasted like a powder mix, watery and pretty bland, chow mein was again ruined by the chicken. Chicken balls batter was nice but then you bite into this spongy disappointment. Chips were cheap frozen brand, really poor Don’t understand why proper chicken breast isn’t used, it would transform the dishes somewhat, went here because usual place wasn’t open on a Tuesday, will not be making that mistake again. Half the meal thrown away.

I think the trick here is to actually go in to order and wait for it. I couldn't actually get the online pre-order to collect to work. They were EXCEPTIONALLY busy and started turning down telephone orders due to their workload. I suppose I waited about 20 minutes for my order, which was fine and a good tasty Chinese meal, exactly as I expected.

We’ve always used Lee’s for our Chinese, but this evening I ordered for the first time in months online. After an hour of waiting I thought I would call to see how long the delivery would be. After several failed attempts at getting through on the phone I decided to drive to Lee’s as thought they may be closed. When I arrived it was open, I asked how long my order would be. I was initially informed that the order was out for delivery, but told it would be quicker for them to cook the order again (would take approx 20 mins). It was clear that the order had not been started and when I asked if she was lying to me, she admitted she was. Having already waited an hour and a half I declined for the offer to wait a further 20 mins while they cooked my order and took a refund. The staff tried telling me that when ordering on line it says the order will be up to 1 hour. Luckily I had my order confirmation which said nothing! If you want a Chinese in respectful time don’t bother ordering on line!

Absolutely awful service always used lees wont ever return new person on the phone. They forgot part of our order then rerurned it half hour later so our original food went cold refused to give refund unless the food was re packed .and food was disgusting

We are new to the area, and as this was the closest, we thought we would try. All I can say is what a huge mistake it was. Mini spring Rolls - never seen them this small or tasteless Prawn Toast - like rubber, kept warm or reheated - really not sure what was in the middle to be honest Egg fried rice - rice undercooked, hard, as for the egg not sure where that was minute traces Beef in blackbean sauce with mushrooms - beef tasted boiled but other than that this was the best bit. I am so glad we tried it now before we have friends over for our housewarming where we plan to order Chinese. This would be a huge embarrassment to us. The food was clearly not cooked to standard, not sure if they have certificates around here, but so very disappointed we will not be returning, even my cat and dog would not eat it, so it must be bad. I will most certainly not be ordering here again, the service at the counter was not great the person there was not interested as I entered, so clearly no point in phoning about it, which i would normally do, I would never write a review like this as I feel the business should be able to address the situation. But in this occasion what I have experienced is very poor catering and I am not interested. Highly disappointed, and will not make that mistake again. This meal wne in the bin, good job we have something else to eat, a waste of money, and time to go and get it.

I ordered 2 special curries No flavour and special chow mien and king prawn sweet and sour balls Which were very greasy .Had to pay £4 delivery . Food stone cold , now using small containers for special items but still charging , price gouging whilst Covid -19 Pandemic . Disgusting way to do business , selling cold tiny portions . I rang to say about disappointment also commented on no free prawn crackers , he said no free prawn crackers because of coronavirus, but said to me if I wanted to pay for prawn crackers that was okay I could have the prawn crackers . He pretended that he couldn’t understand what I was saying when I said about problem but he spoke to me in good English before me saying about problem . I think they just don’t care about what they are selling because people don’t have a great choice of takeaways in Chippenham . I will NEVER buy from Lees again , it’s just a shame they are not like Lees in Melksham , even though they are related . I would recommend that people give Lees in Chippenham a wide berth , there is more than one Chinese takeaway in Chippenham . Disgusting food disgusting service . Never to be repeated .

Food was very tasty and you got plenty or it for your money. I phoned up and the person I spoke to was extremely nice and personable. Delivery girl was really friendly and made sure we had everything before leaving. Only gripe would be that more Hoisin sauce is needed for the duck. Other than that it was great!

We were disappointed by the service tonight with our first takeaway. We assume this could be due to how busy they are during lockdown but sadly the order which was predicted to take 90 minutes from the time of order actually took nearly 3 hours. I rang at the 2 hour point to ask for an update and was informed the order was out for delivery, sadly it arrived as we approached the 3 hour mark quite cold. The food however, after a quick microwave, was ok! If we do decide to give it another go I expect we will collect as it looks like Christian Malford is just too far, even with the delivery charge.

Having recently had a delicious fresh meal delivered from Lee's, we offered to buy some as a treat for friends on a Saturday night. I ordered online as usual and processed the order as normal. After 1 hour and 20 minutes (with no communication in the time) the 'food' arrived, smelling of dirty oil, greasy and STONE COLD!!! The delivery driver wouldn't take it back and claimed she'd come straight to us with it at that temperature. She was too concerned with refunding £1 for a missing drink. After almost 30 minutes I finally got through on the phone to request a refund as my children and I had refused to eat it -but it was by then too late for them to send fresh hot food before bedtime. I was told I should get a refund. After about another half an hour I got a call to say that I would only get half of it refunded as I hadn't returned it!!!! I ordered delivery for that reason AND the delivery driver wouldn't take it back and told me to phone them!!! What a rip off. I advised them to come and retrieve it from my dustbin if they really want it back. .. what a difference a few days makes as I really thought they'd improved 😖

I rang this takeaway for the 3rd time as after 1 hour 50 mins there was no sign of our food ( We had been told on the previous call 20 minutes earlier that it was on its way to us) It was on this 3rd call that I received the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. The woman I spoke to named Jo proceeded to shout at me, telling me that they were very busy and that I had been notified that the order could take an hour and a half ( this was only pointed out to me when the order had gone through on the confirmation email- at this point the order can not be cancelled) When I pointed out out that it was nearly 2 hours she accused me of lying. She then realised she was in the wrong and patronised me even further by calling me darling! I asked for a refund and she aggressively told me that I wouldn’t get the refund on my card until the following day and that I would have to tell the driver myself that I didn’t want the food! I cannot comment on the standard of the food because they would clearly rather throw it away than make a gesture of letting us keep it and refunding us for their poor service. I will never again order from here or recommend them.

Absolutely disgusting!!! Heavily overcooked food.. worthy of the bin. Never again will I eat from there.. nothing more than pig food..

Will never get a takeaway from here ever again poor quantity of food and plain food, also think customer service skills need to be improved,

Unfortunately not a very good takeaway this evening. Problem with our pre ordered meal, parts of it were obviously hanging around as it was cold. Not an enjoyable experience....

Miserable service we asked which dish contained the thick noodles and were told the chow mein in fact these are thin noodles and in this dish they were rubbery in what could be described as a gravy! the Chinese style chicken was better but also bland.Egg fried rice acceptable.

We stopped for a takeaway on the way home from the train. Chicken cashew was very plain chicken with winter veg. The best part were the cashews! Fried rice was steamed rice with a very little bit of egg. Not fried. Chinese veg also plain. Should have gone next door to fish and chip shop.

Worst Chinese I’ve ever had! Not only was food very over cooked it was stone cold most went in the bin

Worst Chinese I’ve had in years. Firstly, when I rang to order they answered, asked me to hold on and then left me holding for 15 mins so I hung up and ordered online. The food took an hour and a half to arrive and was cold and bland. My husbands Singapore chow mien was tasteless!

The food was quickly cooked and very salty. One of the boxes was only half full and the flavor wasn't as good as what I expected. Not going back to this take away again. I won't recommend this restaurant to others.

Waited over an hour for our delivery only to find they had forgotten some of our order. Phoned them up and they said it would be at least half an hour before they could get the rest of it to us. We weren't prepared to wait so they said we could take the money off our next order. Fair enough - until we ate the food they had delivered and it was revolting so I won't ever be eating from there again. Cremated crispy duck with massive lumps of spring onion instead of finely chopped, soggy salt and pepper king prawns absolutely covered in chopped raw garlic, chicken with cashew nuts where the cashew nuts were in a tub on the side (wtaf?) and the rest of the dish tasted of bland dishwater and very little else. Fuming that my one treat night a week was wasted on this complete tripe. Do yourself a favour and don't waste your money - I won't ever again.

Delicious food and good customer service. The food arrived very quickly and hot. Would recommend this takeaway to other people.

No habíamos tenido un Chino por un tiempo y realmente me apetecía para un regalo. Hemos pedido desde aquí en el pasado sin problemas. Pedimos comida para ser entregado.

Pato, no cremado 1/4 panqueques o hoisin, tenía que entregar más tarde, no crackers de gambas, nos dijeron que iban a ser incluidos. El peor chow mien que he probado nunca, como si hubiese algún tipo de polvo en sacudidas En el lado positivo el chile de anacardos pollo era muy agradable. Pero, desgraciadamente, no volver a utilizar.

Se trata de un extremadamente decepcionante llevar comida! Ojalá que he leído los comentarios antes de pedir! La gamba nórdica tostadas estaba muy pasada pero comestible, el langostino galletas saladas sabor como productos químicos y limón jiff similar?! No comimos. El cerdo era en grandes bultos, y el pollo salcita satay suave a probado extraño. Es muy caro y no vale la pena! preocupante incomible y nos fuimos a la mejor parte de 30 libras la pena de comida ONU comido. No pedir desde aquí de nuevo.

Pedimos 45 libras la pena de la comida, llegó (con una extensión) cálido ... Había que calentar más. Patatas fritas estaban aguados y sabía que les habían preparado un par de veces antes de que yo pagué para ellos! Arroz frito tenía duros malos, niño...

Comida, nada desagradable sabor chino comida para llevar. Arroz frito de huevo crujientes por arriba, donde se habían recalentado y no tenía sabor alguno, pollo era difícil y duro. Además de todo esto, el establecimiento es ridículamente caro. Lo peor para llevar chino en la zona, no pedir desde aquí!

Ordered without looking at the price,, yes my fault.. I am used to paying around £7 for fried rice and crispy shredded beef, but here was £9.30. It might have tasted good but not value for money.

We have used Lees for about 6 years now and recommended them to others. The food has been consistently good, the service friendly, waiting time quicker than most and home delivery is good. Three of us had a meal last night and we all throughly.enjoyed it.I appreciate that food can be a subjective issue but we can all cook pretty well and can tell if the ingredients are sub standard- no problems here.

I buy food for friends fairly often from this outlet, and it is always presented within 5mins or so, significantly faster than most other places. There is a wide selection, clearly displayed on a large board on the customer side of the counter. Portion sizes are generous, pricing reasonable, no complaints regarding taste or quality.

This take-away is, without doubt, the worst Chinese food I have ever had !! Absolutely awful ! The lady on the counter was pleasant enough but I will never venture into this establishment again.

I order from these guys at least once a week, and have never had a wrong order in the last 2 years, as a food critic there taste and quantities are good, especially there roast Duck curry! :)

2 Takeaways delivered, beef and mushroom and house chow mein both were wasted as the sauce was so overpowering we could not taste anything else, they were also only luke warm. Will not be buying from here again. We retrospectively checked the Gov hygine rating and found it to be ony 1 out of 5, having seen the health rating being checked on TV I hate to think what condition this kitchen is .

Just had a curry from Lee takeaway in Chippenham, whilst I have generally had good food from nether. ai.fellow drinker in my local said he had two bad meals from there, don't know what has gone wrong with the place. But the meal tonight was totally tasteless, whether they have got a new chef or something else but tonight the food was really shoddy.

They got the order wrong and when I told the staff they wouldn't admit fault and tried to tell me what I ordered, the food was greasy and bland.

We popped in to order a set meal for 2, after waiting for it to be cooked I was told there was no rice left, the staff offered me noodles instead but I declined. I said I would get my own rice and asked if they would just take of the cost of the rice off, she gave me £2, the price of this particular rice on their menu is over £5. When the order came out I told the lady this and she said, 'well I offered you noodles', to which I said I didn't want noodles, she then went on and on how the, rice would have been smaller and she offered me a £1. I left her with the £1 and in knowledge we would not return. Food average and left a bad taste after what happened. You live and learn!

The food used to be wonderful. In the last few months, the food has gone completely downhill. It's cold, the beef us always chewy, the spare ribs are sinewy and the chicken balls are really greasy. What on earth happened? Is it a change in ownership?
