Awful chinese. Boiled chicken was like rubber and just tasted bland. Very expensive and will not return

Absolutely foul, the munchies box was absolutely soaking with the grease, the box was falling apart just picking it, you couldn't tell the difference between the chips and the chicken and everything was soggy and inedible, a dog would probably pass it up. The sweet and sour sauce was disgusting just tasted like pineapples. Don't ever go here, will never EVER be back and this the first time I have been so disgusted with the food I actually left a review. This chinese doesn't deserve to still be running

A very "meh" chinese takeaway. The fried rice dish was tasty with an acceptable level of grease. A bit disappointed with the chicken balls: they weren't classic balls but deep fried frozen fillets with stringy bits. The sweet and sour sauce was like raspberry jam mixed with vinegar - inedible.

Just eat from here for the first time. Really nice food. Welcoming service and quick food cook time. Spot on.

Lovely food except for the sweet and sour sauce. It was very thick and came out like jelly. Everything else was perfect especially thr ribs in honey

Food absolutely inedible. This used to be a great Chinese but now it's awful. The sauce tastes like a single gravy granule was dropped into loch Ness and they've served from the other end before allowing it to mix

I was a bit concerned as the shop looked a bit like a seedy private hire office. Appearances aren’t everything - the food was excellent. I mean really EXCELLENT. We had a set meal and everything was perfect, couldn’t be improved upon. Thank you.

If I could give less than 1 star I would, the worst £33 I have ever spent salt and pepper box was large portion but I don’t know where the salt and pepper was Food was bland and would not give it to the dog Do not recommend

I had the salt and pepper chicken wings. They were the best chicken wings I've ever had. I also had the salt and pepper chicken skewers with a satay sauce. I bought these 2 items because I was really hungry. After I ate I was no longer hungry. The service I received was efficient and friendly. Just remember it's cash only. Over all I'm more than happy and I will definitely return.

We had a fantastic takeaway from here whilst on holiday nearby. Shame they didn’t do delivery but it all tasted amazing and fresh!

Staying near by and this is the best Chinese takeaway we have had in a long time, salt and pepper prawns, crispy chicken balls, plain chow mein and chips. Better than our Chinese at home by far

First takeaway for us from Lees. Salt & Pepper chips - not very spicy but not frozen fried chips either, so was a nice change. Special fried rice was massive with plenty of mixed meats and huge prawns and egg fried top. It was delicious! Special green pepper and black bean sauce was amazing! Packed full of mixed meat, garlic chillies, and black beans, so had a nice kick to it Would definitely order from here again when next in Pickering. The total price was £5 higher than equivalent in our hometown, but worth it IMHO

The worst chippy i have been meals are bland tastless got 3 meals here and all were bland and fried rice you have to buy seperate if uou want it with a meal rip off when most chippys do the rice with a meal overpriced for what the meals are tastless STAY AWAY RIPOFF

We came to North Yorkshire this weekend from Gloucester and decided we would take a Chinese back to our rental cottage. I must say the Chinese takeaway we had from Lee’s Chinese Kitchen is one of the best if not the best Chinese takeaway we have ever had. Great quality ingredients and the portion was huge Highly recommend

Salt and pepper box plenty of food and very filling

Beef and chicken curry comes with mushrooms but not mentioned on the menu. Just used to make the dish bigger and increase profits. If I had wanted mushrooms I would have ordered a beef and mushroom dish. Do not recommend.

Good variety of choices and all at reasonable prices. Reasonable quick service and friendly staff. It is a take out but does do delivery.

I guess it would be good if they answered their phones. Luckily Fortune Inn took our order 👌

Tried again last night. Despite staff being friendly and polite it just wasn't anywhere near as good as before - poor quality food and poor value as we didn't even finish it.

Very disappointed Firstly Chow mein 2 scraps of meat.. all noodles. Sweet & sour chicken Hong Kong style this was like little balls soo tiny. Ok, usual Chinese takeaway fare, although they forgot one dish. No quibble though when I rang up about the oversight, but with no delivery service I had to drive back in again and collect the missing item

The usual great food. Worth going out of your way for. Food was ready when I got there after ordering 20 minutes in advance of actual opening time of 5pm. Immediate service with a smile. Its sooo fresh and tasty is the food from Lees and the price is very good. No silly red colours just delicious good food. Yum yum yum. Thanks Lees.

The best Chinese Take Away the whole family have ever had, We had foo Yung, salt and pepper chicken, fried rice, crispy seaweed ( cabbage) prawn toast, chips and curry sauce. Tasty food , and well worth a try 😋

Friendly staff and food was good, didn’t wait for long for food and was reasonably priced. Few other take aways in Pickering but opted for this one as it was nearby.

Portions were of a good size, food was great, only downside was a longish wait as this place seems very popular witch the locals

I have just had a Chicken curry and a Special fried rice from this takeaway. It was a great takeaway at a great price, tasty and filling and neither my Wife or I had to cook it which is why we went there in the first place. So why oh why do we see bad reviews about this place and many other local businesses by people who have nothing else to do than criticise places that are doing a fair job at what they do. Think it through before you degrade any business again, for £12.50 this evening we had a fairly good meal for a fairly good price.So thank you to Lee’s Takeaway.

We had chicken fried rice and house special chow mein on Friday night with a portion of chips , both meals were very disappointing. The chow mein had a greasy after taste and the meat was rubbery. The chicken was tasteless. The chips were greasy and over cooked.

Doesn't take cards, and staff absolutely no help with locating cash point. Didn't like staffs attitude. No sign that they only take cash.
