We came to your restaurant today. Never been before but will deffo be back, that's for sure. Perfect location, excellent food with the quiche to die for. Excellent service by your staff. Can't fault anything at all.

Lots of dirty tables filled with old drinks and food. The cups are plastic and when eating outside it causes them to fly away and leave litter all around the premises. It is truely disgusting. The staff are very young and unfriendly. The floor in the conservatory area is horrible, there are food and dirt all around. The food is nice however takes a long time to arrive, it’s overpriced for what you get. Even though it’s dog friendly I would not bring a dog here as they don’t proved water bowls and leave food for them to eat on the floor.

Gone downhill recently ! Prices are premium therefore should get premium service and food. Seems understaffed, the conservatory is not clean, windows are dirty, floor dirty , tables dirty. Decking must encourage vermin, as food falls through the decking. The Diet Coke is served warm and flat as comes out of a large bottle cheese for sandwiches is in chunks not appetising at all. Victim if it’s own success I think. Come on Leafy Oak get more staff and a decent supervisor to pull it back to brilliant. Ps ask the cook on duty today. (Thurs) to smile she frightens the customers with her attitude.

Although the food is lovely once you get it there is always an extremely long queue to order your food and an even longer wait to get it. They are obviously very short staffed and simply cannot cope with the vast number of people who visit. Such a shame as it does put you off going.

We went on Saturday 1 June, was busy so we sat outside. We only ordered 2 cups of tea 2 pieces of cake we waited 30 minutes nothing appeared. Eventually I went inside and asked how long till order arrives they said sorry and got it ready while I stood there. Food not cheap service slow .

We were there on cesspit emptying day unfortunately. Not good, the lorry was parked right by the outside eating area😱 As always the tables were full of dirty dishes and the staff looked stressed and unable to cope. Never go there if you have a time limit. Surely it’s time the place was better managed? I’m all for making allowances but it never gets more organised. The wait for your order can take 20 minutes or more and then come in bits and pieces. On a positive note, the cheese on toast is recommended and the cakes are home made.

I don’t really know where to start with this review. On arrival it was obvious that they were very shortstaffed all the tables were piled high with dirty crockery and leftover food there was not a clear table anywhere I had to move some dirty dishes from one table to another just so we could have somewhere to sit. My family and I finally sat down to order jacket potato With chilli beef was tasteless, coronation chicken jacket potato was very peculiar tasted more like piccalilli than coronation chicken. We had just begun a meal when a vehicle arrived to pump out the sewer which was situated only about 4 m from the restaurant’s open area the noise was deafening and the smell was disgusting. I went over to the man who was operating this and he said that he was sorry but he did speak to the owner who said it was okay to him to go ahead with people eating nearby absolutely unbelievable. I will definitely never go to this tea shop again.

I think the owners have got too greedy. Our experience was awful. They had hirered out the conservatory so any drop in customers were squeezes into the original customer area which is now smaller as the kitchen is spreading. If they want to hirer out their premises then they should shut the shop. Thier bread and butter customers were neglected yesterday. A fool hardy thing to do . As we will not b returning.

The title says it all. If I could give no stars I would. Husband had a sausage sandwich I ordered a bacon and sausage bagel. It took 20 minutes for our tea to arrive and a further 25 minutes for our food. My bagel had a larger bottom than top so the filling couldn’t be held in. The bacon was fatty and I had to pull it off. The first bite nearly broke my front tooth. The top of the bagel was rock hard in places. Took it to the counter and explained and was asked did I realise it was toasted! As my husband was already eating I asked them to replace the bagel for cold bread. This took nearly 10 minutes. The bread had been spread so thickly with margarine that it was leaking out of the bread. Hardly surprising as the bread was possibly the thinnest I’ve ever seen. They use the cheapest ingredients and charge a lot for the food. There appears to be enough staff but they are poorly organised and as they appear to be teenagers most of them have attitude problems. Go into Ware or Hertford where the choice is better and where most places serve decent food.

Food and service are good, but lunch spoiled on Thursday and Saturday by the number of dogs in the restaurant, there were 8 on Saturday. The constant barking was a complete nuisance, so much so we moved outside. It is utterly absurd that so many dogs are allowed into somewhere that is serving food. Clearly the very young staff do not have the nerve or authority to take the dog owners to task. It is less than hygienic as well. There are plenty of tables outside and that’s where dogs and their owners should be.

Beautiful building. Tables not cleaned and service slow. Sausage sandwich looked fine but was a bit bland. The coffee was served in a nice thick cup which kept it hot, but was also lacking in flavour. My first visit - a bit underwhelmed.

A popular place unsurprisingly. It welcomes dogs thank goodness , has a big field for children to run about in and offers a simple range of sandwiches and lunchtime favourites . And you can visit the Nursery next door at the same time. Parking can be tricky at peak times.

Thurd time here. Not returning. Every time had to wait far too long. Always dirty tables and staff very slow. Rarely leave poor reviews but gave them three chances and same every time. Shame as lovely idea.

Nice tea room, but pricy. £7.95 for an average cheese and onion sandwich with a few leaves and a tiny pot of coleslaw.

Lovely setting and menu is good Cakes are homemade and look delicious However I ordered a tuna sandwich and a Diet Coke and it cost £10.50 To me that was very expensive. I had expected change from a ten pound note!! I couldn’t afford to go back, although I would have if prices were less expensive. I do recognise how much prices have risen and know they have to make a profit, but did think price was extortionate!

Leafy Oak is a delightful little tearoom offering a delicious range of freshly baked cakes and sweet treats. Staff were helpful and very friendly making our visit thoroughly enjoyable. There is extensive outdoor seating available too.

Delightful garden centre cafe in The Leafy Oak Nursery with separate car park. A friendly enthusiastic young staff, who are polite, helpful and super efficient team, running a sharp outfit. Brownies to die for, great coffee, fabulous scones(jam and Clotted cream in the price) brought to our table in minutes! A gem of a place! Sorry I didn’t take a photo as setting was very pleasant too. All reasonably priced for home made yummies and some bargains to had in the nursery itself. Thank you. J&V Norfolk

Lovely little tea room with great selection of food and cakes. Can get very busy so go with a relaxed leaving time and catchup with friends whilst you wait for your food. Drinks always arrive promptly, food can take a while.

We’ve been visiting all over the Summer since it opened and it’s been great having an alternative to Van Hage. Over the past month it’s taken a huge downturn - we waited over 1 hour for our order a month ago due to staff shortages. On the past 2 visits the kitchen has closed early due to staff shortages. So each time you plan around the normal kitchen closing time it really doesn’t matter- kitchen closed …. There are notices informing customers of these changes at the till to discourage any personal interaction with staff, who quite frankly don’t give a hoot whether you stay or not. I’m so disappointed and have had enough, I give up. I will not be visiting again.

We came for lunch on a warm November day because of the outdoor seating. The tea room was buzzing with visitors. The menu is very good with a range of lunch options, sandwiches and drinks. There was a good display of savoury snacks and cakes....

Dreadful cakes dreadful atmosphere! Ordered 3 cakes and 3 teas, Victoria sponge was dry and all the filling had seeped into the sponge! Looked like it had been sitting on the counter for weeks. We asked to swap and exchanged for Biscotti Cheesecake, honesty not much better, very artificial, not fresh or home made, after eating my daughter had stomach cramps and then an upset stomach! The Bakewell was dry and tasteless, not good at all ! Asked for 3 teas, gave enough for 2.5 teas so had to go back for water top up and needless to say 1 weak tea as watered down! An awful venue, how hard is it to provide fresh cakes, 3 full teas!!!! Don’t waste your time or your hard earned money!!!!
