Incredible service from lovely staff. I placed an online order, but sadly, one of the items I ordered had sold out. The gentleman at the store called me and exchanged it with something which was actually worth slightly more, they even through in a free drink! I was having a really bad day and this really cheered me up. Why the ratings for this place are anything other than 4 and 5 stars I don't know. This isn't a big chain restaurant. It's authentic, fresh, real food served by real people. A* Service with a smile (something that is rare these days)

Ordered nearly 2 hours ago and not got it, I can’t contact them because the phone number goes straight to voicemail. Suppose to be a 30 min wait! And Why have it so that your customers can’t contact you? Seems extremely Dodgy! UPDATE- it never came.

Don't even know how to start...we ordered first time in April 2022, being in holiday at Bishop Stortford, amazing food, delivered in approximately 40 min, lovely, so perfect that we want to go back just to be able to order again, living 37 miles away and not having it in our area. Shocked by the latest reviews, couldn't believe, not from them, they were so lovely, we decided to go back yesterday, this time just for the day, in Bishop Stortford, just to order same good food, we ordered the same food like a year ago, waiting on the bench outside the restaurant Dough&Co for our delivery, we end up cancelling the order after 2 hours, not been able to get in touch with anyone from the Burger Amour/ Dough&Co. No sign of the food, no response, nothing...disappointed and disgusted by the way they end up treating the customers...we are completely shocked and sad...

Placed the order 2 hours and 20 min ago and i am still waiting to be delivered. One hour and 20 minutes i called the restaurant and i have been told that in maximum 40 minutes will be delivered. Called the restaurant 5 minutes ago and the food was still waiting to leave the kitchen. I recommend you order in the morning for dinner.....

Three and a half hours for no food Called an hour ago was told 40 mins, 1 hour later still no food. Called the restaurant and told it was next out for delivery. They marked the food as delivered and when we mention it they said they don't have control over just eat... just eat aren't psychic they won't mark something as delivered Now we have to wait however long it is to get a refund How bad of a restaurant do you have to be to lie to your customers this much and then never turn up. Ended up ordering a dominoes... ETA 20 mins, somehow I am inclined to believe them Listen to all the other reviews stating what I have said and avoid

Ordered via Just Eat. Restaurant got special request correct AND then delivered extra within 10 mins because I commented upon delivery that a kids meal was smaller than it looked. Also got a free dessert. Absolutely fantastic service. Thank you!

Honestly I'm heartbroken, used to be our favourite place but we have just ordered. They sent us the wrong burgers which were also Raw! The mac and cheese honestly tasted sour as if that had gone off. We also picked to have pulled pork on our burgers and instead came on chips. That was the only thing that tasted nice. Such a shame, will be following up and getting a refund. Won't be coming back anymore.

We order from Burger Amour regularly and have always been impressed with the quality of the food and service staff, Joseph the waiter was extremely polite and the delivery driver was prompt and cheerful.

We decided to order at Burger Amour even though they have bad reviews (which I can't understand at this point). However, the order was just 15 min late but on a saturday night it's more than understandable; the burgers were delicious and the fries very tasty. Big portions and very good value for money. We ordered a Couple Bundle for £30 and we received: 2burgers+2fries+2soft drinks plus 5 doughnuts balls (free when you spend £20+). The meat was juicy and the toppings generous and super tasty. We will definitely order again and we recommend everyone to do so :)

Ordered via GoGetters and was pleasantly surprised. If I’m honest, I thought I’d ordered from Peach as I wasn’t paying attention, but the order was delivered within the hour and was found to be good quality. Price wise it’s in keeping with the area. I had the French Burger and Truffle Fries as part of their £15 meal deal.

If you’re hungry and fancy a quick burger, do NOT buy from Burger Amour! The food was expensive for what it was and took TWO HOURS from when we ordered to when it arrived, to add to the delay we had to microwave everyone’s food because it was ICE COLD. Will not be ordering from here again.

following some issues with orders I had a call From the manager, Marcus today who was very understanding of the delays I’d encounter with some previous orders. For some reason my issue hasn’t been raised with him but after a short call I was more than happy with the response. Have to say too that historically my orders have always been incredible, but it seems there was a a period during the cold weather when orders arrived cold. I should also add that deliveroo drivers on a few occasions had no insulated bags so I’ve amended my original review. Will give this another try now my issue is resolved

2 hours later, uncooked bacon, stone cold, guy on the phone reckoned it had only just been sent.

It took 2 hours for our order to arrive for it to not only be cold, but the bacon was still raw, and the cheese hadn't even melted due to lack of heat from the burger. What an awful experience. Unable to get through on the phone as the number is disconnected, which was also very unhelpful! I have used Burger amour before, and the food has been good, so I introduced my partner to and I am quite frankly embarrassed. I honestly never leave reviews because I am frankly too lazy, but I wouldn't want anyone to waste their money on such discusing food and will never order from there again. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Great food, but 45 mins late and some of my order was missing!

Spoke to a guy on the phone who was extremely rude and kept saying he was too busy to help and how he didn’t have time to speak to me. Rudely tried to get me off the phone as quickly as possible.

Ordered food at 5pm, its 8pm now and no sign, called the restaurant 15 times with no answer. Was so looking forward to the food, instead I am just hungry and very angry. SHOCKING

We ordered two hours ago and have not recieved the burgers yet, tried calling up and had no reply so have had to cancel the order, not the first time this has happened either.

Awful service. Ordered food with 60 minute delivery. Still not been received over 3.5 hours later. Phoned the restaurant nearly 2 hours ago and was told it would be delivered within 25 minutes. Nothing. Now no answer on the phone.

Ordered a plain, no cheese burger through just eat. Unfortunately we received a burger with cheese and sauce. With someone not having a meal, I called the restaurant to see what they can do. They advised that it has to be done on just eat. I did this and thought all was well. Despite all the other food being cold!!! (We heated it up) I'm thinking at least we can eat ours. But they said it would be 30-45 minutes or a refund. I asked the person who the burger was for and they said they'll eat something else. I have just seen in my emails that just eat want a picture of the food. And that I had 24hrs to send said picture. As I say I have just seen this email so 24hrs are over!! Will not be using just eat or ordering from here again!!!

We ordered a delivery at 18.05pm, so quite early on a Saturday night and was advised the wait was 75 mins. Given early, thought ok, but we ended up waiting over 2 1/2 hours! When you call, no one answers the phone, it’s just answerphone every time. Really poor service, clearly taking more orders than can cope with! Eventually the manager rung me back, saying delivery drivers sick. No apology or goodwill given to us bearing in mind at that point we were at 2 hours since ordering, so 45 mins over the delivery time, but he just kept saying nothing more he can do humanely possible Then don’t take the orders if you can’t fulfil in time, plus let customers know theres over an hour more delay on top of the 75 mins. Keep them informed! Will not order again from here! I’d suggest you too think twice!

Burgers are tasty but deliveries are always so slow! Last time was the worst. We've been informed that it could take 75 min. After a 2-hour wait, we called and they informed us that our order was getting prepared and that we'd get some free drinks for the delay. 45 min later our food is delivered. No apologies, no free drinks and a serving of fries way smaller than usual. It's a shame, we won't order again.

Ordered a vegan burger, chips and coke, which usually was great although overpriced. I received an overdone burger almost charcoal like, that eventually had to throw away and settle with the chips and drink. A total waste of £20 really. Eventually went to Wetherspoon to get a proper lunch for £7.50. Disappointing.

Lovely burgers and sides are delicious

All the food was stone cold when it arrived and the burger bun was rock hard. Completely stale it all went in the bin, and it cost us over £30. Tried calling their number but it doesn’t work.

Ordered a takeaway on a Saturday. Took 2.5 hours to be delivered (1.5 hours later than the estimated time) and was freezing cold, and incorrect items. Food is probably nice if you can eat it in the restaurant but the takeaway service doesn’t ensure food is hot, so when delivered late it is of a very poor standard for the prices they charge.

#BurgerARAW Unfortunately I cannot recommend avoiding this restaurant enough- after a lengthy delay in our order, our two burgers arrived so raw they practically ran back to a field to graze. With blood seeping out of one burger and the other being entirely pink, we are genuinely worried about our health, my finances and utterly dismayed at the restaurants best reparation in the form a food poisoning-saving discount of… drum roll… FIF TEEN PER CENT on……. my NEXT order??!! please please give me my money and gut well-being back and do avoid, at all costs! ps the chips were wet and sodden

Ordered 3 kids cheese burgers meals. Turned up with just buns and cheese on all of them. When we rang up to say this the woman laughed at us on the phone and basically said she couldn’t tell us when the replacement would be here. The chicken cheese and bacon burger was awful & salty. The American burger was just a cheese burger. The saffron walden shop is a joke there’s always things missing or wrong.

Ordered a few months ago and the messed up the order. We decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and ordered for them again most of the stuff we ordered did not arrive and the stuff we did get was pretty mediocre I definitely wouldn't recommend ordering from here.

The food was luke warm by the time it got to me, the dirty fries were covered in loads of melted American cheese and the bacon was tooth chipping hard. The chicken bites in buffalo sauce (severely lacking) were 6 pieces in total... that's the equivalent to 6 chicken nuggets for £6.50, shocking prices! The American burger was the best bit of the meal, the patties were overdone but the flavours did taste great. All in all a very overpriced meal at £25 including delivery, 5 guys pricing with McDonalds standards.... 👎🏻👎🏻

The pizza dough I've seen in years, the wood oven definitely makes a difference, also the cocktails are all made fresh which in most places are cans or pre made...

Ordered through uber eats lastinght, they took the money and checked completed order, but never delivered my order, nor did they contact me. Complete scam.

More expensive than Mac Donald’s… but seriously there is no comparison. Flavours that make your mouth water and fill your belly for the long term. Food came hot and well presented The only thing I could say has room for improvement is how cooked the buns were, they were soft and edible but they were a little dark.

The taste. BANGIN! The service. BANGIN! How did the meal look Absolutely gorgeous! Even threw me in a free drink. Would highly recommend :) also I would take a picture of the food and upload it but I ate it already lol. Just looked too good.

I think some of these reviews are quite harsh, I found my burger to be lovely! Lots of sauce and good quality meat, yes the bun nice and glazed but it really depends on how you like it - I wouldn't say soggy, this is just the nature of a burger that isn't over-cooked like McDonalds if you ask me. Dirty fries needed a little heat on arrival but this is no problem. Yes 20 mins later than Just Eat said, but I was happy to wait because I knew the food would be fresh and the branch kindly called me to inform me of the time revision.

First and the last time I ordered from them. Everything overcooked, bun’s - burned, fries like wood. Guy’s don't spend that kind of money on these “burgers”. Everything went in the bin.

Today I had a very bad experience, I was out and thought to myself I really fancy a burger little did I know what was coming, I ordered a burger and a bag of chips I was very disappointed. My burger was pink and covered in cum, my chips was not edible as I saw someone sneezing into my chips. I do not recommend but I do recommend the 2 cups of slimy ketchup and chair height tissues

A few months back when they used to do the pulled pork fries I used to love ordering from them. I think recently they have started to remove themselves from online order sites like Just eat and Deliveroo, and since this the quality drop has been insane. Meals are clearly cooked, then left to be reheated in the microwave when people order them, leaving chips / chicken horridly dry. Burger arrived in a half covering of tinfoil leaving the top open, and the underside was so greasy that the bun tore at any attempt to pick it up. It's also confusing the burgers being branded as smash burgers as they're standard patties. Just won't order from them again.

Spent £52 pound on a takeaway from this place. Ordered a plain burger with pulled pork, turned up marinated in burger sauce. Not quite sure what the hard paper of understanding plain was. Waited 1hour to be seriously wound up. Possibly worst cheesy chips I’ve ever seen/tasted, tasted out of desperation as my burger has been absolutely mullered. If you are thinking of ordering from this place you would probably be better to go to Burger King or the burger van on your closest industrial estate. I’d imagine the staff can read English and possibly serve you what you ordered. Liberty

We order the food to the local hotel in the evening and it was really disappointing meal. First of all the whole order was cold but the driver came up in a car and had the food in a thermal bag so It can't be his fault as after first few bites we realised it's not a fresh food. The regular fries were dry and without salt on them. Sweet potatoes fries were so burnt that were black and pretty much uneatable. Burgers are no smashed and by look of the them are basically being cooked and then reheated, maybe even frozen. Somebody mentioned in the comments below that buns was twice as big burger which is correct. On the positive note, drinks came cold and in a separate bag and packaging was really good and environmental friendly. Driver was also nice and polite and called us before delivery. It's a shame because the menu is good and unique and there is a great potential in it but for this price it's a simple no. Drop the two patty burger for real smashed one patty burger that will anyway feed majority of the people and offer second patty for a extra charge.

Poor, very poor - to deliver a breakfast. Where to start 1) Over two hours to deliver 2) No comms from the store 3) No answer from the store the first three times I tried to contact them - the forth was the charm 4) The food was inedible it looked like it had spent two hours under a heat lamp - the muffin was rock solid 5) The food was dried out 6) Wrong contact number on the Ubereats page 7) Store were unable to find my order orginally Overall very very poor - this store has been going downhill for a while, this is likely to be my last order from here.

When they first opened, they were simply amazing. Now it is a shambles there. You get hard dry and cold chips. The burgers are not fresh smashed burgers. The hard bits in the burger give away that its frozen burgers and not fresh made. The buns are like double the size of the actual burger. Should be called Bread Amour because there is more bread than burger now. Clearly becoming greedy and cutting costs but charging same prices for barely average food. If i ever order again and it comes like the above, i will personally return it and that wont be pretty. Fix up!

Takeaway picked up from the restaurant. Dry buns, slightly burnt, no sauce on them. The buns to big for the patties, which were small and over cooked. I ordered the Original burger and partner ordered the French they were identical apart from the French had the smallest slivers of brie. The worst burgers I've ever had. The rosemary fries were unedible, dried out, stale, no flavour - so annoyed they were wasted. Now I understand why the restaurant is always empty when passing to visit the cinema, we do not live in the area so unaware. I do not recommend.

Delivery driver good 👍 But I left a note as I’m pregnant extra butter in my muffin ….no butter at all …dry Charged £1.50 extra for half a tomato ….disgrace Charged another £1.50 extra for 5 mushrooms No tissue in bag …. A little more effort from staff would go along way have passion for customer service not just for a wage at the end of the week

Good food, some issues with delivery which the restaurant sorted quickly. Parmesan truffle fries were sadly lacking Parmesan but still very tasty food.

Have been waiting and counting almost 2 hours for my order! Attempted to call the restaurant a fair few times but doesn't work at all! It was a simple very small order, haven't had any communication from the restaurant at all. Was told I would need to wait up to 45 minutes for my order.

This relates to the Saffron Walden branch. We waited 1 hour 15 minutes for what was mediocre food. The fries were cold. Not just a bit cold, that flaccid, sadness you get with cold fries. The burgers were okay. It was impossible to contact the branch via phone on the status of our food. After 5 attempts we gave up. When the order was delivered we were given 5 minutes of insincere apology as to the lateness and were told that ‘they’re trying to serve all customers on time’ - as if we aren’t customers? I feel we may have been spoiled with bloody brilliant delivery service from other restaurants in town due to the pandemic and this didn’t measure up. Not the best post-late shift experience ever but it was okay food.

I’ll be honest I’m never expecting much when I order a takeaway fry up from anywhere and the reviews for Burger Amour were a bit hit and miss (always take this with a pinch of salt anyway) but I was really pleased with what we got and it was probably the best takeaway / delivery fry up I’ve ever had! It was awesome, great quality meat and it wasn’t greasy at all and really well presented. Would definitely order again, thanks guys.

Horrible and disgusting!!!! Order a full English breakfast and it was horrible. Was over 2 hours late, two raw sausages and tomato, and 4 mini mini mini mushrooms!!!!!! Luckily I had my partners fries to eat, even that was completely cold!! Would not recommend or order again!

Have ordered twice from here and both times have received our food on time. Very good burgers and chips. Not the cheapest but worth it. Looking forward to eating in once restrictions have been lifted.

Yesterday I ordered food and it was disgusting !! The burger was very hard as stone, the potatoes just smelled and tasted like oil and I found a pubic hair in the middle of the potatoes as shown in the photo. Horrible experience!!!

NOT impressed! The customer service is appalling and the food is even worse! The chicken in the burgers were pink! The chips are always soggy and dietary requirements are ignored! We ordered a burger and the only notes on the whole order was that we didn’t want bbq sauce and they smothered it in bbq sauce, this was for someone with diabetes! The worse part about the whole experience was the employee who was rude when responding to the complaint down the phone and ran out the back when we came in to complain! Just go to McDonalds!

The perfect burger meal. My partner and I went all out and ordered everything we wanted from the menu and were not disappointed with a single item. Genuinely a perfect meal, the customer service has been outstanding and a prompt delivery. We will be eating here again 100%.

I would like to give them more, because the menu looks good and the sides are pretty decent. But the burgers are so overcooked. I'm unsure why there is no option to ask how you want your burger cooked. If they gave that option I'd be happy to give them another go with a rare option. But unfortunately I couldn't order again with very well done the only option.

We have ordered from Burger Amour twice - the first time there were no issues, it just wouldn't let me order through the website so I had to get a colleague to do it. The second time, they said they hadn't received our order (despite receiving a confirmation, an order number & the money being taken from my account). When it finally arrived 2 hours later, all the dips were leaking everywhere meaning very few of them were usable, and the quality of the food wasn't as good either.

Ordered out tonight and with a little faith, reading a few reviews and a hankering for a burger meal we went for these guys. Sitting back now totally satisfied after having the couple deal. Two fantastic burgers full of flavour and a real treat to eat, pulled pork was delicious in the English, all with triple cooked fries and Rosemary fries (huge portions) Mayo, BBQ and an evil blue cheese dip loved it all. Well done guys and we’ll priced. Definitely a return order and visit when you are back open.

I've had better burgers, quite greasy but still good quality. Reasonable price aswell, however was a long wait for the food. But the very kind staff over came that :) I also recommend the garlic and herb Dip with any of the chips!

I reccomend the triple cooked chips as they are very good. The burgers also tasted very good. Wait time slightly slow however it did not affect my meal

The hambuguers were overcooked, they need to put an option to select how you want the meat to be cooked. About the fries, the sweet potato fries were horrible and soggy, only ate a couple of them. And the fries with pulled pork, the pulled pork was fine but the fries were not properly cooked, again soggy and looked like frozen ones. The best of the meal, the sauces. Blue cheese one and BBQ armour was good. Last thing, about the burger, they come with 2 patties. I would recomend to put an option for only 1 patty, with 2 patties you can't feel the flavour of the other ingredients that are important too. I don't understand that good reviews, probably the people doesn't even try a good burger.

Do not understand all the positive reviews. Might be from people that do not know what good food is... We ordered burgers. They were way too overcooked to the point were it was hard to take a bite. It was a French Burger so Brie was one of the ingredients: it only had a sad thin slice of Brie. Couldn't taste it... Maybe if it had only one patty and that patty properly cooked you would be able to taste all the different ingredients. I could only taste the hard overcooked patty.... I love sweet potato fries so I added them to my order. Was super excited as I didn't have those fries in a long time. Disappointed once again: they were soggy and completely tasteless. A friend recommended Burger Amour. Do not know if I was unlucky or what but I'm afraid I won't be ordering again. Needs to improve a lot in my opinion.
