Disappointing cakes very heavy american style not at all Belgian/ french style ...the coffee was ok I would avoid the cakes though!

Very busy place and a bit of confusion over getting a table. Once seated, all was fine. Order taken promptly and not long to wait for drinks nor food. Food was fresh and tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed by all. Cocktails a hit, none of this glass of weak stuff watered down by ice. You could taste the alcohol. Would return.

A very cozy, lovely place in the heart of Covent Garden. The staff is very friendly, and I stop by here often for tea. In particular, the waiter Shay from Thailand from the takeaway area is super friendly and chatty. I'm very sorry if I spelled your name wrongly, Shay! Overall, I highly recommend the place for both takeaways and breakfast/brunch.

We stopped here for drinks on a lovely warm sunny afternoon recently. We were a party of four & three of us felt our drinks were sub standard . The cocktails were made poorly & looked & tasted strange. We didnt eat, so I cant comment on the food and the service was ok considering it was such a busy afternoon.

Cafe in Covent Garden with a great sounding menu. Lots of choice of drinks and food. It was busy so we stopped for lunch. My white wine wasn’t that cold and my lunch nothing special, as I say the menu wording is very good. My husband had a poached egg on the side of his lunch and twice it was brought out hard boiled. Waiting staff were very apologetic and I cannot fault their politeness and professionalism but it was just a disappointing lunch experience. Wish we had stopped somewhere else

We enjoyed the experience of dining outside in the sunshine at Covent Garden - with very nice food and a good glass of wine. The experience was made particularly pleasant because of the charming waiter (called Arturius, I think), who couldn’t have been more helpful and efficient and welcoming.

Four of us met for a chat over a pot of tea and stopped here on our way to the London Transport Museum. I wish we hadn’t. We were so disappointed with our visit. The pain aux raisins was stale and hard. The pain au chocolat was stale. The Earl grey tea had no bergamot and was basically a mild China blend. First world problems, I know, but disappointing enough to mean we’ll go elsewhere next time.

Nous avions découvert le Pain Quotidien en Belgique ! On adore le concept vraiment parfait pour manger sucré salé, bruncher, boire un café à toute heure. Nous sommes tombés dessus par hasard ce matin, bonne ambiance et bon plats c’était sympa.

Rude staff, felt ignored when waiting to be seated and felt ignored waiting to be served. We eventually got seated by a very unpleasant lady and for 20 minutes observed other (older possibly richer looking) customers getting seated and served. Told staff member this and they basically said wait. I have two very well behaved young children and they shouldn’t have to wait like this for a drink etc. We continued to get ignored, so took our custom elsewhere.

I have visited with my family the Le Pain Quotidien restaurant in Covent Garden at least 20 times over the past 5 years. Unfortunately, the food quality and service has been going down with each visit. Drinks are always a hit and miss. The cappuccinos served are usually with too much milk. Cake portions vary significantly between visits (e.g. Belgian waffles, cheese cakes, tarts, etc.). Our last experience was quite poor. The quality of the food was mediocre to say the least. The so called "cold pressed" juices from the menu appeared to be actually from a tetra-pack supermarket container rather than made at the restaurant which is quite misleading. The "carrot and ginger juice" we were served was actually cheap orange juice from concentrate (with its typical yellow colour and a taste of oranges). When we asked the waiter to change it he tried to convince us that what was served was, indeed, a carrot juice. After he appeared to understand the error, he said that he couldn't bring a real carrot juice and we had to change it to something else. We asked to replace it with an apple juice which was, of course, also not prepared at the restaurant. The final straw for us was when the same waiter brought us the bill. The service charge was not included. However, he entered a 10% higher amount into the POS terminal. When I asked him to explain why he was charging us more than what was on the bill he explained that their payments software had issues. I knew that the restaurant had started charging a 10% service fee automatically since 2021 but this fee was always clearly listed on each bill. In any case, I believe that it is not right to ask the customers to pay for an optional service charge which is not even included in the bill. Considering our latest poor experience at this restaurant, we have made the decision to avoid visiting all Le Pain Quotidien locations. The management of the chain needs to do a better job in keeping the standard of its restaurants at a reasonable level. At present this is clearly not the case.

Was looking forward to go again . But what a difference from the one that was behind Oxford street. The service is slow . People had to wait when the restaurant was not full. The food is not great . The salads not like before. Than I order the cheesecake . Was frozen and dry. It was to be one of the best ones. What happened?

Found this place upon a recommendation of a friend. Seated fast (which is hard on a Saturday lunchtime for a group of 7). Food was speedy and absolutely delicious. Had the farmers brunch, great value especially with the drinks that come with it. It is on our London hit list, it is that good

We had a fantastic breakfast here. We sat outside under a heater; I think it was full inside and were served quickly by a lovely girl. We ate the croissant with ham and cheese - can’t really go wrong with this one, croque monsoiur.- very filling but maybe a little claggy, smashed avocado on toast - tasty and then scrambled eggs on toast - a huge pile! All in all we were in a wonderful and touristy place and enjoyed great service, portions and food. We all would definitely recommend this place.

Such a shame that a restaurant is allowed to operate to such a poor standard in one of london's prime tourist destinations. We stopped for a drink and a snack but decided only to stop for a quick drink once we realised how dirty the place was. We sat outside and the floor was littered with spilt drinks, food and dirty napkins. The tables were filthy and if you lent on them your clothes stuck. Didn't improve after the staff had cleaned the table either. Toilets pretty horrible too. I get that its a really busy site but they need to do better at keeping the space clean and tidy.
