Well filled sandwiches, fresh scones and gorgeous cakes.Friends who took us had a Groupon voucher which was not a problem. One of our party is gluten free and another does not like mayonnaise. They were both well catered for.The lady who served us was very friendly and nice.

Il est préférable de réserver... peu de tables. Réception typiquement écossaise avec très agréable fort accent... Belle carte avec certains plats flambés, bien chauds et délicieux. Reviendrai avec plaisir.

Had a nice afternoon tea here, the tearoom itself is lovely & very inviting. The afternoon tea was good value for money, the sandwiches are generously filled, the scones were amazing but the cakes were a let down. All cakes had a lot of cream & tasted very bland, it really lacked variety & choice, the cakes looked amazing but were disappointing. Plenty of tea & coffee, staff always on hand to help. Overall lovely day but would only go back if the deal was still 2 people for £15.

Interesting that someone had same experience as myself when trying to book to use a Groupon voucher. This had been bought as a gift from relatives. When I called I was told that there was no availability whatsoever until well past the date of expiry of the voucher. Before I even mentioned the voucher I was advised that they had been booked up for weeks. I now plan to see if we can have the voucher redeemed by Groupon too . Staff at Grange were totally unhelpful, simply said sorry when I said the voucher would have expired by the date offered. My advice if you get a Groupon voucher for this establishment....book the minute you get it or you are likely to be disappointed too.

The food consists of lovely fresh sandwiches, creamed scones with preserves and small tasty cakes !! The Staff are so friendly and helpful and can’t do enough for you ! The price is amazing £12 for two people and the atmosphere is nice and friendly !! I have been here twice now and intend to go back again and again. Good job I have a large family !! Thanks for a lovely Afternoon Tea .

Went here for Christmas meals today, 16th December. What a disappointment. The meal was not good, bland and tasteless. For the money paid, this is a place to avoid. Everything was covered in some orange sauce that everyone in the place hadn't a clue what it was? I would recommend that if you are thinking of coming, Don't

After receiving this voucher as a gift I called to book afternoon tea using my Groupon voucher. They were very unhelpful, they just said that I could not book as they were full, up to the expiry date. No apology, no alternative offered, no advice or guidance. Terrible customer service, I am appauled. My sister in law bought this in good faith and now it seems to have been a waste of money. Awaiting response from Groupon.

The restaurant was warm. We could only have breakfast as in the evening this restaurant is only for private parties. The waitress was a bit dour. Had to ask for extra toast, extra butter. The coffee was so weak it could hardly pour out the machine. The bacon was under cooked, the half tomatoe was not cooked, the fried egg was hard, the mushrooms were baked, and the sausage was unpleasant. Not a pleasant meal at all.

Was given a voucher for afternoon tea as a present and had a lovely time. Staff were excellent. The atmosphere was was serene. There were quite a few tables of ladies enjoying the excellent sandwiches, scones and cakes. We were seated at the window and were able to watch a bridal party being photographed. All in all a really pleasant afternoon.

I thoroughly enjoy an afternoon tea date with friends or family. On this occasion I dined with my mother for an afternoon tea. The exterior and interior of the building is nice and the staff are polite. The tea, cakes and sandwiches were average and enjoyable. I have had better selections/food quality in other places but it definitely was not bad. My mother enjoyed it which is the main thing! Not sure I would rush back.

We have regularly visited this hotel for meals etc over the years and recently took afternoon tea with bubbly. The service from staff is excellent and the standard of all the food and drink is superb. Lots of lovely delicate sandwiches, big soft scones with clotted cream and tasty jam and then a superb selection of sweet cakes and bites to finish off. Coffee or tea to suit anyones taste and pleasant relaxing surroundings. Definately worth a whirl!

We booked a groupon for afternoon tea with bubbly for four people - supposedly half price. I have to say that if I had paid the full price here I would be a bit aggrieved. The restaurant itself is lovely and the conservatory had a nice view over the gardens. As it wasn't very busy, we were seated ans served quickly - the waitress was lovely. We were given two pots of coffee and four glasses of bubbly which was very nice. The afternoon tea itself was a bit if a disappointment - we got two individual cake stands - on the bottom plate were the sandwiches which we a reasonably good mix. The middle plate had two scones and the top had the cakes. Two of the scones were well done/burnt and out of the 8 small cakes on the top plate - 4 of them were profiteroles which looked like they had simply been lifted off the dessert menu, of the 4 remaining - 3 were exactly what I had expected - little mini cakes but the fourth one was like a coconut bun you get from the bakers cut in half! Had it not been for the company of my daughter's i would not really have enjoyed this experience. We actually stayed for nearly two hours and never felt rushed.

Had a groupon voucher for a sparkling afternoon tea for two. My friend and I don't drink so had a soft drink instead. Cream cakes consisted of 2 very mini meringues and 2 little profiteroles. Sandwiches consisted of 6 little sandwiches, 3 with cold meat (chicken) with leaf and 3 with smoked salmon and leaf. Neither of us like smoked salmon so they brought 3 little sandwiches with ham and leaf. Sandwiches were ok but boring. Would have been better with a bit tomato. There was also 4 slices of fruit cake and 4 slices of gingerbread. There was also a small scone each with jam and cream. I thought the scone was horrible. Was dry and didn't taste the freshest. We paid £16 for 2. I don't think it was £16 well spent. It certainly was not worth the full price. We expected better from a 4 star hotel.

We were using a Groupon Voucher for friends who were unable to go! Glass of Prosecco, lovely. Cakes, scones, lovely. The sandwiches were a bit limiting, ham sandwiches, and Cheese sandwiches. Nice, but a bit pedestrian. We both thought the choice could have been more extensive, and the presentation was a bit indifferent. Nice service though.

We bought a Groupon voucher for champagne afternoon tea (£16 for 2 people). The hotel is lovely and we were seated in the conservatory area. Lovely atmosphere and busy Sunday afternoon. All the waitresses were lovely and were happy to offer alternatives if anything didn't suit. The food was nice and I would go back for the Groupon deal. I don't think I'd pay full price though. Have been for afternoon tea elsewhere where the food was slightly more elegant. Still a lovely Sunday afternoon!

I visited for an afternoon tea with 3 friends as we had a groupon voucher to use. We were greeted warmly and the overall service was fantastic what let it down was the food. We were not offered any choices of sandwiches or told what they would be, when the cake stand arrived there wasn't really enough for 4. There was enough for 3 very small finger sandwiches each,a very thin slice of fruit or toffee loaf each, a very small cream cake (only 3 of these) and a small scone each. With the voucher we paid £8 each for the food, tea and a glass of bubbly which is why I have given it 4 stars for value however had we paid full price I would have given a maximum of 2 stars. As I said I can not fault the service and the food was lovely just no where near enough for the 4 of us.I actually noticed that those who were in a 2 had almost the same amount of food as the 4 of us which was also off putting. I won't be rushing back for this afternoon tea!

We spent one night at the Grange Manor as part of a voucher deal. Although we were there on a voucher offer we could choose from the full restaurant menu and the food we received was excellent. Although the restaurant was full to capacity and there was also a wedding reception in the hotel, the service we received was prompt and friendly and the hotel and dining staff were all more than helpful. We also enjoyed an afternoon tea eariler that day. Our hotel room was clean and warm and unusually quiet considering that the wedding reception was in full swing. I would certainly not hesitate to make a return visit.

My wife and I were regular visitors to what used to be a fine dining experience. Having dined at the restaurant on 6th Feb the high standards have plummeted since being bought over. We were left to carry our own coats and drinks into the restaurant, which was half in darkness due to lack of clientel. Unheard of under previous owners! Table setting was haphazard to say the least with napkins and cutlery poorly arranged. We were not offered a wine list at any point and I had to get one myself. Bread was brought to the table and duly plonked on a side plate, no choice given. Startes came and my wifes was promptly laid down on top of her napkin! After complaint to the Duty Manager our starters were re-done and we were supplied with a complimentary bottle of wine. This was duly served up into the wrong glasses at the table. No offer at any time was made for water during the meal either. Quality of the food was at best average, not expected at £30 per person for 3 Courses, Pork was over cooked and the Duck was almost raw and sereved with stodgy risotto. After finishing we were again left to make our way back to the hotel lounge with coats and drinks where we were eventually offered coffee. The lounge area had quite a strong smell coming from the toilet area and not the nice place to sit that it once was. The gent toilets are grubby, with cheap hotel soaps and no hand towels, can't coment on the ladies as my wife didn't use them. I aske for a liquer in place of coffe and the bar staff informed me they had what I had asked for, then could not find it at the bar, eventually after 5~10 minutes finding and serving the drink. The staff themselves were pleasant enough but clearly under trained. We were not charged for the wine or the drinks we had when we arrived, the bill was still about £65 and I could probably have made something comparable myself at home. A thoroughly disappointing evening and one that will not be repeated any time soon.
