I’m always craving LB’s like mad… chicken shawarma and potatoes go CRAZZZYYY!! Prices are also really really good in my opinion. Live Laugh LB’s.

The food here is tasty and i like to try something different from time to time. The chicken wrap is good value for money at less than a fiver

Have been coming to Lbs for about 15 years! I love the food so much I have Lb’s cravings and drive 20 mins across Oxford to get it. My favourites are the chicken sambousek, potato’s, chicken wings. Can’t beat it. Best Lebanese delicatessen in Oxford. Owners are always lovely

Had such a great experience visiting LBs! Got greeted exceptionally, very friendly and a huge selection of what look like the best homemade delicious and authentic Lebanese cuisine. Truly lovely, and the Amira behind the counter was a particular highlight ♥️♥️ Will be back most weekends 💪

My go to place for a quick and tasty lunch in Oxford. Delicious, fresh, authentic food and friendly and fast service. As well as your usual Lebanese deli favourites such as falafel and kibbeh, they are also introducing innovative and delicious alternatives like pumpkin kibbeh and kale humous which were amazing! Follow them on Instagram too to see their latest culinary inventions. Suitable and highly recommended for vegetarians, vegans as well as meat eaters :) A real gem of a place in Oxford!

I walked in at 7am just as they were opening and was greeted like an old friend and treated like royalty! I’m no familiar with Lebanese cuisine and after a few question opted for the vegetarian lunch box. I am still not sure what I ate but every mouthful was sensational! I also ordered some baklava which was some of the best I have ever eaten! It was very fairly priced, delicious and the staff were exceptional!

I agree with the negative reviews left here, the two owners do tend to show favouritism to customers if they deem your 'complexion' to be of a 'superior' nature. I have been a customer here for over 15 years when i'm passing through for work. If they're busy, flustered or left for work in the morning with a chip on their shoulders, they will take it out on anyone THEY consider inferior. Be it, passive aggressiveness, unapologetically ethnic colour blindness (selectively serving regardless of the queue) or outright rudeness. I do hope better ethnic food options arrive in Summertown as there is a need for it. Judging by how well this place still does despite unforgivable attitude to customer care.

I've been a customer on and off for over 25 years and it's as much a winning formula in 2022 as it was in the 1990's. The two very kind gentlemen who own and run the place with such modesty have aged a little but still provide such a nice experience and are most charming and gracious, I am not sure if it's a Lebanese disposition but they have warmth and depth in abundance - while keeping things delightfully simple where it matters. The food is amazing too.

Tried LB's for lunch because I love Lebanese food - but it was disappointing - not much choice available and my chicken shwarma wrap was okay but rather dull. Ir was lukewarm and consisted of precooked chicken, fresh tomato and a yoghurt/garlic sauce - it was edible but I don't think I will return

I probably come here at least one a week to grab a quick lunch. Staff always friendly and food is excellent and reasonably priced. Recommend falafels and the dish of the day!

Consistently terrible customer service over many years, so I decided in 2019 not to return. That is until I visited with a friend today that wanted to get some lunch from there. Still the same unsmiling, and grudging service - unless you are a man apparently. The food is average at best. Overpriced and certainly not worth the effort to visit.

Went there this week and ordered their special. Lamb and kidney beans, with a million spices, served with rice and flat bread. All I can say is that this place is SO authentic! We left feeling like we had enjoyed a delicious home made lunch, full of fresh food, spices and herbs. AND FOR £6 EACH! Amazing.......... Wonderful food, a lovely lady who served us. Well done, and thank you!

Lucky enough to find LB's nearby to our guesthouse on the first day of a long weekend in Oxford. Was so good that we kept going back. Excellent selection and reasonable prices. Everything was absolutely delicious but cheese sfeeha, spinach fatyre. stuffed vine leaves, and moutable were exceptional. The pistachio baklava was the best I have ever had - lots of nuts and indulgent without being too sickly. The only Lebanese food I have had better was made by my own grandmother :)

I absoluteky love this place, the food has always been amazing for me! I just had the vegetarian lunch box which was soooo tasty (would absolutely 100% recommend!) The staff are always so welcoming and friendly, if you're ever just passing through Summertown pick up something here on your way through, you won't regret it.

Very good quality of food. Price is reasonable. I always go there for lunch. I like their aubergine, spinach , all sort of wraps and stew.

I have been to this place a few times now, some of the food is decent and the others I wouldn't even feed a dog if I had one.Their customer service is absolutely diabolical. Today I phoned up to pick up some chicken wings when I arrived I asked if they can warm it for me and an old man gave me the dirtiest look and refuse to warm it so I said I don't need the chicken wings and left.I won't be going back there again.

LB's food is made fresh every morning and is simply scrumptious and the service is very friendly and welcoming.I've visited LB's on a few occasions trying something different each time and I've never been disappointed/They've also catered for a work lunch (at very short notice!) for 50 people who were all extremely please with the taste and variety.

We have eaten here a couple of times now and have always very much enjoyed our visits, took the family for lunch at the weekend and they did not dissapoint, family friendly atmosphere, speedy service and fantastic food, fresh, tasty and good portions, even the kids love the food here, would highly recommend, best Lebanese restaurant I've ever eaten in

I ordered Lebanese meze for a party for 16 people from LB's. The food was excellent, good value and the service second to none. It was all clearly labelled, veg, vegan and GF. People were so pleased to know the food had come from LB's and thought it was a great idea for an informal work Christmas do. The LB's Special broad beans were really tasty, well everything was really delicious. It was packed really safely for transporting to the venue. There was enough left over for some guests to take it home for lunch the next day. It made the party memorable in the midst of Christmas food.

Food wasn't nice at all and had a horrible smell. Their vine leaves were black and dry and the worse bit is that they smelled like dirty feet. Waste of money basically!

This is a fabulous little Lebanese, offering sit-down (basic cafe) or takeout. Lovely veggie lunchboxes, delicious baklava, great range of dishes. Really nice to be able to support a non-chain local place like this.

Tuvimos una fiesta familiar para la cual Fawzi y su equipo proporcionaron la comida. La comida era excelente y todo salió según lo planeado. Fawzi fue muy servicial y nos protegió de nosotros mismos diciéndonos en términos inequívocos que nuestro pedido inicial era demasiado grande para la cantidad de invitados que esperábamos, una acción que de alguna manera podría no haber servido a sus propios intereses, pero en el a largo plazo muestra que es útil y realista, lo que, por supuesto, garantizará una costumbre continua. Incluso nuestro pedido reducido era más de lo que todos necesitaban, pero es mejor que ir a una fiesta donde se acaba la comida. LB's has delicious food served at very reasonable prices. Delicious sweets too (sadly, I am on a diet so can't indulge at the moment!). The special is always good value. And there's always something for omnivores, vegetarians and vegans.

It's a very small 'restaurant' but a great and highly reputed Lebanese take-way which also caters for parties. The food is fresh, in good variety and very reasonably priced. I could live on LB's food!

I work just around the corner from this deli, which is my favourite place for lunch.The food is delicious and freshly made (if you walk past early in the morning you can smell it being prepared). The deli is also brilliantly unpretentious: There are no frills, just really good food.

Being forced onto a dairy-free diet, it's been hard to find suitable prepared foods. Search over - LB's provided delicious chicken wings, cold potatoes and salads today. I'll be a regular from here on out!

Really great Lebanese mezze - highly recommend the small pastries with lemon and spinach, the lamb kofte and the baklava is also amazing. It has been here for years and whilst nothing special to look at the quality of the food is all that matters.

Everything I've ever had from LB's has been excellent, and great for vegetarians. The warak-enab (stuffed vine leaves) are better than any I've had anywhere, the savoury pastries delicious, and the falafel wonderfully crisp.

Well this masterchef still has not changed his old methods i mean i had a chicken shwarma wrap and it came colder than the north pole maybe it was not fresh probably frozen but yeah twice in two years and this place has deteriorated rapidly i mean come on what kind of restaurant owner picks his nose whilst hes serving you without washing his hands and also burps while he prepares your food. Absolutely horrendous king of the country still is serving cold food.

We popped in to LB's as the smells coming from the door were amazing. We opted just to take some baklava, but when we got home and had it, chalky doesn't even do it justice. I'd avoid that choice if you are tempted.

Have been popping in to this place for years. Have had reason to be in Summertown a lot recently and couldn't resist picking up some tasty treats to take home for lunch. The smell from outside is great and enough to tempt you in. I always choose a selection of things and it is always fresh and tasty. The staff are so friendly and helpful. It is a pleasure to shop here, and even more of a pleasure to eat their food. They do a dish of the day which I haven't tried as I am vegetarian and it often includes lamb.Can't resist this place.

I used to come here all the time and still do when I'm in the area. The place offers a wide range of Lebanese cold mezzes and you can do lunch boxes which are great value for money. Could do with a revamp as lots of 'trendy' places have opened nearby but still very good!

This restaurant is a model restaurant. The choice is wide, the cuisine is healthy and is prepared with love, the prices are modest, and the quality is superb. It is a family business, and going there feels like being a personal guest of the brothers who run the place. I highly recommend for a light snack, or for a full meal

Originating from Oxford I always pop into LBs when I'm back in town. The vegetarian lunch box at £3.50 is great value and the food never fails to excite. However the owner could benefit from some customer service awareness. On a recent visit my partner, who is clearly deaf as he wears two hearing aids, was treated quite disrespectfully by this chap who became increasingly impatient with my man as he made his selection for lunch. I guess he can afford to be rude as the food is great and the shop does really well. Disappointing though.

I have been visiting LB's for years and have tried a variety of things on the menu and have never been disappointed. It is seriously tasty and for next to nothing! If in Summertown or even further afar it is really worth the trip. A must visit.

Run by two brothers with a big kitchen out the back, they have a marvellous range of middle eastern and lebanese dishes, and do a roaring trade in take away lunchtime wraps and snacks, and lunch boxes. Also they have a hot dish of the day, some stew with rice and bread. They also sell a few items, flat breads, tahini, olive oil, and fabulous baklava sweets, and occasionally fat, fresh dates. They offer a catering service which we have used for a large party, with huge success. They couldn't be better!

I completely love LB's the food is great and the staff are very friendly. The deli is very clean and reasonably priced for the delicious food! I would eat here everyday if I could. My two year old daughter loves Mr LB as he gives her goodies when we go into the shop :) I recommend to everyone!

Lunchtime found ourselves peckish in Summertown and we popped in to this somewhat unassuming deli on the high street. What a treat! The shop front boasts 'mouthwatering dishes' and indeed they are. The broad bean salad was a delightful combination of bean, oil, garlic and coriander. The special-a butter bean stew with lamb and rice nothing short of sensational. Very friendly service with a smile. Excellent.

Been meaning to add a review of LB's for some time now as I've been coming to this north Oxford institution for years. The food is absolutely and consistently superb. My personal favourites are the pumpkin kibble, the green beans cooked with tomato and the deliciously smooth hummus. Or if you can't decide you can always go with the veggie lunchbox of 6 different options. (It also contains the bulgar wheat cooked with tomatoes - another favourite!)The only (very slight) downside is that there are only a few tables. So plan to visit outside of peak hours, but do plan a visit - well worth the few minutes on a bus from the city centre. And unlike a previous review my family and I have always found the owners absolutely charming. Very highly recommended.

Tried LBs today for something different for lunch. Bored with all the usuals. Got friendly service, a really good hot meal with rice which was totally different and something I'd never tried before. Also had a few add-ons of falafel and others and all very tasty. Really enjoyed it and will come back. Two meals of the day, which came with rice and flat bread, couple of extras on the side and a can of drink each at a total of £10! Brilliant value and really tasty.

Went here on a lunch visit the middle aged man thinks he is the king of the country and his food is something surreal. The food here is ok however the staff here are just simply rude and arrogant i will never visit this place again as the staff have let the place down.

LB's is a long established and friendly small deli/restaurant providing consistently high quality, good value Lebanese food. Worth noting that they also cater brilliantly for parties.

The food here is consistently delicious, fresh and cheap. The owners are really pleasant and prompt with orders despite busy lunch hours. The vegetarian lunch pack is my favourite, great value for money and it keeps me full for hours.

Ive stopped eating fatty, calorie laden food for lunch, on a bit of a health kick. Was passing today and there was a parking space so tried this place out again . I hadn't a clue what to order but ended up with a minced lamb wrap. Not sure what the wrap contained but the friendly girl behind the counter laid it out, spread some hummus on it, added the lamb, salad, garlic mayo and then toasted it. It was so delicious!! £3.30 for a great healthy lunch. If you are around Summertown at lunchtime, this is the place to go. Forget all the supermarkets that are on the street. Next time it will be the chicken wrap and like I say, will hopefully go through the menu. The place is also very busy for the deli. Love the place.

I love Lbs used to get it all the time when at school everyone used to rave about it it is just really good food. Love returning home and getting a LB's especially the chicken wrap. I am craving one now

Parking is a nightmare, but if you can get a spot, try the takeaway lunch menu. I had a Lebanese Lamb casserole type of lunch and it was delicious! Not too much and more than enough to set you up for the afternoon. The cost? £4!!

I have been visiting LB's for years and the excellent quality never changes. Don't be put off by the slightly brusque owner - he is actually friendly and helpful! The vegetarian lunch packs are my favourite! You get hummus, some salad, various delectable dishes and tasty Lebanese roasted potatoes with a piece of flatbread and a fork. Highly recommended!! All the food is freshly cooked and it shows. Ignore M&S bland sarnies blah - cross the road and have something cheaper, fresher and MUCH more delicious!!

I ordered a selection of nibbles from LB's for a party of about 50 people. The food was one of the highlights of the evening, I thought it was good value, and it was absolutely delicious. Fawzi even made me a little plate of sweet bits which were a lovely touch.

Every time I visit my parents I find a reason to stock up from LB's. The vegetarian kibbeh, felafel, moutabal and other treats are absolutely delicious. I am told the meaty versions are equally delightful.

The veggie lunch boxes are great value as are the sandwiches, but you must try the little nibbles and the baklava!Would quite happily eat here as often as I could!

From flatbread and pitta sandwiches to home delivery banquets.A bit of an institution for those of us who know it and the friendly staff. Fawzi oversees operations like a Phoenician skipper. Have been going here for years and to be honest a little surprised at some of the comments. Most of the food is freshly cooked on the premises and tastest great, try a ful sandwich or the kibbeh I doubt you will find any better. Yes the service can be a bit gumpy but in a takeaway when it gets busy, you are paying for fast service and tasty food! I am a big fan of Lebanese food as theri website says , Lebanese food is considered as the French for the Middel East, can definately say I agree with this.

Have been buying the vegetarian boxes for years, never disappoint and always full of tasty morsels! Great for a lunch on the run or a last minute picnic.

My brother lives near Summertown, just outside Oxford City Centre and he recommended we pop in LB's for lunch. Seating is very limited (approx 12-15 inside at 3 tables and some on stools at a bar plus there are a couple of seats outside); it mainly caters for those grabbing a quick bite to eat. However, we managed to grab a table for 4 by the window and each ordered a wrap. I had the Mousaka (grilled aubergine with tomatoes & chickpeas, salad & houmous!); my mum had haloumi and my brother spicy sausage (bit like a kofte kebab - I can't recall what my sister in law had! We also ordered some meze - kibbe (for my brother, I tried a bit and it was delicious), stuffed vine leaves, Batata Harra (potatoes with chilli, garlic & coriander) and feta salad - everything was delectable! We rounded it off with a sweet pastry each, baklawa (pistachio and almond) and cashew fingers - all drenched in syrup/honey - yum!!! The staff were really friendly and helpful too.JB's was really busy the whole time we were there with people popping in to grab something for lunch and some ordered little pots of the side dishes. The high level of customers in such a short period of time is testament to the popularity of JB's! I can't wait to visit again in August when I go back to see my brother and his wife!If you like Middle Eastern/mediterranean food, you'll love JB's - definitely worth stopping by for a quick bite to eat! Or you could hire them to do a buffet for that special occasion!

Little a la carte place, came in here for lunch a few times. Had the vegetarian box and some other items, the spring rolls are good. Minimal variety so if you’re a fussy eater of any kind you are likely to be disappointed. No seating that I recall unless you sit outside, it’s all take away. Pricing was fair, I guess although if you’re hungry you’ll rack up a bill picking individual pieces.

This takeaway/cafe has been popular in Summertown, North Oxford, for years and it's easy to see why. The food is amazing and worth a visit if you're ever in the area. Our favourites include the broad beans (in a lemon, parsley and olive oil dressing), spicy potatoes and the moussaka (aubergines, tomato and chickpeas. Just bought some today and were delighted as usual!

I always go to LB's during my lunch time, and I really love the food!!!I dont agree with the reviews posted bellow as the people who work there are really lovely people.Very acessible price , they should open a restaurant .I always reccomend LB's to my friends as it tastes really good and they have many options of meals, the paninis , vegetarian box kibes etc...

I have always walked past this place and smelt the food, which smells very good. So today on my lunch break I decided to pop in and give it a go as I really fancied a change from your usual boring sandwiches. This was a big mistake! I walked in to be greeted with a massive frown and an incredibly rude grunt.. The man behind the counter then proceeded to say "What" again, very rude, however I decided to let this go as I really did want to try the food. I then asked the man for some of the french beans, he said, again in a very abrasive manor "Yes but how much" as if I was stupid or something. after this I then asked if I could have some rice with the food I had ordered and he simply said "we don't sell the rice with this" I ended up saying to him not worry and walked straight out of the shop empty handed. Would never go back here in a million years and I really cant believe how rude and miserable this man was. I would not recommend anyone go here.. EVER.!!

Honestly, I have been a customer of them since a year now but everytime they try to rob me, try to charge extra money. I mean tried their food which was good and recommended them to a few office colleagues. I thought they were good people but after a few visits I have found both the owners (who serve as well) really greedy people. They charge a price one day and then the other day its different, normally I went ahead and bought the lunch but then enough is enough! I told them why are u charging me extra everytime and the guy simply said 'Because its more' (which it wasn't as the box has its limits and u can't store extra food). So I asked him to make it worth which it was yesterday and he said If you want to buy then please do but don't waste my time...RUDE!Their food is okay, as its repetative they have never invented something new or changed the menu but just keep changing the prices every now and then!
